Went for the show and brunch, there was no show just drags coming to the table asking for tips not much interaction. But we had some what do to bday in our party,, outfit changes were cute...Food was delicious. ((Forgot to take pics)) but got salmon salad Wish we would have gotten a heads up about them not performing due to being stopped due to covid. Seating was ok very hot, did ask for extra shade helped some what.
European flavors with an Italian accent, close to everything and all you need in a one-stop spot. Fine selection of wine, pastas and all the fixings for a great meal or gourmet sandwich to go. Rare to find fresh Lavazza coffee on tap. Enjoy!
I went in some months ago- the service was slow but the food was tasty. I paid with card, tipped in cash. The server added an extra $10 in tips on my receipt without my knowledge! I am just asking for a refund for it. It is completely inappropriate that you allow your servers to steal from your customers in such a manner.
Let me start by saying we love Hamburger Mary’s. Unfortunately I probably will not be going back to the Long Beach location in the future. I made a reservation a week in advance for Halloween evening (here on Yelp) On Halloween I received a voicemail that they could not accommodate our reservation time and we would have to move it either 45 minutes earlier or an hour later. When I called back to let them know my choice, they had no record of my reservation. The person who answered the phone had no information about the earlier call that was made to me. They also sprung on us that day that there would be $10 per person cover charge. We made the reservations over a week prior so there shouldn’t have been any last minute changes that afternoon. I do not feel that these issues are related to COVID and find this unacceptable. We spent money on costumes and didn’t go out because our plans were suddenly cancelled. I hope that management addresses issues like this so they don’t lose repeat customers like myself. We had just been there the week before and it sparked our interest in going on Halloween. I’m extremely disappointed in how this all happened. Don’t count on having your Yelp reservation held at Hamburger Mary’s.
My first drag brunch was wild! What a great time! We showed up with a huge group and everything was so smooth thanks to our server Liz! She was so accommodating and single handily made everything a breeze. She set the standard for service.
I had a choice of West Hollywood hamburger Mary’s or Long Beach chose Long Beach for a change outside dining wonderful heaters great people all the drag queens came out and made the evening very fun ordered some macaroni and cheese balls and wontons had great drinks Bartender Certainly knew what he was doing had a great time Parking walking distance one block no problem definitely coming back
Fun times with some coworkers a few years back for our Holliday dinner party. Way too loud to play white elephant but who cares with such a dope show going on. Food and drinks were pricey but for the show and fun of the night i think it was worth it; everything tasted great.
Had a blast at brunch. The food was delicious and the performers were lively. Would definitely come back.
We were craving a bit of fun for lunch, what better than Marys!?It is Corona time, so we had reservations for the limited sidewalk seating area. The inside seating is still off limits in California. The waiter was definitely fun and the other staff were great to deal with, fantastic senses of humor that compliment the establishment wonderfully There were 2 stars, shall we say... that were dressed up nicely for the occasion. It was, after all, the signature drag lunch!Im sorry to say they must have worked a double the night before, because they couldnt even lip synch anything the audience asked for. Sadly they did the Tina routine that has been overdone since the 80s, moving to their own beat, not even close to the music! Now, I know Im being mean, but after a feeble attempt at 1 tina song, A big bucket on a 6 foot stick was shoved into every guests face for tips, regardless if you were currently trying to remove a fork from your mouth (it was lunch). The wait staff were great, the queens were just, well... nasty!I have been to these shows before, where they were so good you had money out ready to tip, these girls were just wearing makeup expecting to be tipped.I gave 3 Stars because I truly felt sorry for the wait staff, who were obviously embarrassed by the performers raking in dollars when that money should have all been given to the waiters.
This place is so fun! Love the vibes! Food was so good.
Tremendously fun. Best vegan burgers downtown. Weak mixed drinks.
Great shows! Great food! I couldve kept eating if I didnt decide to tip. Lol Great drinks! Great music! Great People!
We were told we would be seated prior to the start of the show and that did not happen I asked several times and kept getting same answer so we left
Surely a spot worth visiting, the food is great and well prepared, the rates are affordable and it is constantly clean there. Keep up the good work.
Came here for the first time and i loved the decor, definitely gave you a New Orleans vibe, the drinks are pretty good and appreciate the bottle of water. For food i only ordered there take on jalapeno poppers with crab yumm and but spicy which i did not mind. Also ordered the chicken and waffles, perfectly moist chicken and fluffy waffle, will definitely go back to try more food. As far as the service they can do a little better and check up on us and to say it wasnt busy.
We had fun but I didnt like the fact that we were asked to move table because weve been there going the 3rd show!!Well, I always gave tip and I just dont drop a $1 each performance :(But I love them!
Awesome service and brought my youmg ones and they enjoyed it
Good place for a hearty burger, milkshake, onion rings and fries! Boyfriend and I come here form time to time for a splurge meal.
Phenomenal. Thanks for breathing life into these very strange times.
Good atmosphere good show food is okay and I like the people
Stopped in here on a Saturday night, who knew that was a drag show? Well I guess everyone that would have looked online to see their calendar. Anyway, the show was great, staff very attentive, and the food and drinks reasonably priced and well presented. Will definitely hit this place back up next time in Long Beach.
I love the atmosphere the staff and performers are awesome. Foods a bit overpriced but the burgers are really good.
Had a great time. They are open for dine in again, but I believe its only weekends for now. Stop by and help the girls out.
The food is the great. and they are open for pick up orders which was awesome
I visit this lovely spot many times a year! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go there at least once a month. The cooking is excellent, the staff is professional and the charge is good. I like meeting in this place for a nice dinner.
Im giving this a 2 stars for two reasons..I went here earlier today for my nieces bachelorette gathering. The floors were dirty.. dried old gum on the floors. Even in the Reatrooms the floors were dirty..I pulled the Stool out to sit on it n it was sticky underneath it..Also the menus were dirty too..The prices were sky high for a burger..I ordered the Beyond Vegan burger n thousand island etc.. I wasnt even told that the toppings were extra price..A burger, toppings, sample appetizers n a small Midori Sour drink all for $50.00.. Just crazy!!!I wanted to buy my niece one of those cute Leg n stocking drinks, but damn $ 25 to $30 n its not even that big..The person who brought us our burgers couldnt even tell which one was a vegan burger because they all looked the same. I couldnt see because it was kinda dark..The drag queen show was the only thing good about this place..
Whether youre here for a drag show or club night, youre gonna have a good time. Drink prices are about what youd expect for Long Beach, but their bartenders arent afraid to be generous with their liquor!
I went for brunch on Sunday with bottomless mimosas. The show was amazing! Brunch wasnt the best it was ok. They do however make sure your glass is never empty. $35 for brunch with the mimosas. Its easier if you just Uber there, trying to find parking is a nightmare. There is a $3, cash only, charge to go in. If you dont have cash they have an ATM. They take a picture of your I.D and take a picture of you, you get a wristband and then you go in. Since the show was happening it seemed like a first come first serve. No one directed us we just found a table and 20 min later they asked if we wanted the bottomless mimosas brunch. The show is why I gave 5 stars, those queens did a phenomenal job with the lip syncing.
Server still charged us for a drink that we didnt order and when we brought it up he refused to remove it. He wouldve received a $25 tip from us.. but we had to pay for a drink we didnt have. The performers were fantastic and the only reason there are 4 stars!
Absolutely loved the place! Staff is awesome!
Food was really tasty but $26 for a burger and fries is outrageous. The prices are misleading when you see the beginning price on the menu is $4 for the cheapest meat patty, then every individual topping or option has an up charge. That is where the price skyrockets. GF cauliflower crust pizza had lots of flavor. The Bossy Bottom cocktail (their most popular drink) was awesome but beware if youre only a social drinker. It will knock you on YOUR bottom with its 6 different types of booze. Service was amazing! Our guy (I didnt get his name) was super attendant to our requests and even arranged to get us a great table from which to watch the drag show. The place was packed but he managed to get us elevated, Princess seating. The drag show was over the top! True entertainers and the local crowd made it even more fun and enjoyable. The DJ was hysterical and really got the crowd excited! Overall!
Was told that I needed to leave my ID or payment card with the server if I was going to dine on the patio by server Michael. I did then challenged Michael and he told me it was policy. I again challenged Michael as Ive dined and brunched there many times over the years. Then he says, well you dont have too. Ill be right over there as if that would stop me from.a dine and dash! Really? After my frustration he sends Manager on Duty Bree to save the day. She asked me what my understanding was and I told her but she failed to get the point. Is it policy or selective policy since how at first I had too but then I didnt have to. What is it Bree?
The food was ok, and the show started an hour and half late. Which was mostly the talent just walking around collecting tips.
Accessibility wise for their shows and the majority of tables it leaves a lot of room for improvement. The old location in Long Beach made it easier for people with disabilities to view and see the stage. There is a big majority of tables that are too high for wheelchairs which makes for an uncomfortable eating experience on top of a very limited viewpoint. I am glad they found a much bigger space but you can tell accessibility needs werent fully considered in design. I also had the worst beyond burger I have had and it was beyond disappointing for that price. I have had one at the West Hollywood location and that was tasty and a different experience so I know it isnt the way every Hamburger Marys is. Also, they need to train their staff about vegan options as they also brought ranch with my meal and fries and I could not see because the table was so high and had to spit out the fry in my napkin. I am really glad that places exist to support the LGBTQ+ community bit as far as the disabled community you can do better. This was my personal experience recently it isnt to say that things might improve another time I end up here. But I was lucky I came with a friend because I could not imagine trying to move anywhere in there with a wheelchair alone.
Happy hour prices are really good. Several house whiskies n liquors are branded for them and nice quality. Geared to a Gay clientelle WI h club n show nights. Originally a Honolulu club of long standing.
Super fun enjoyed the performances. I went for brunch on Saturday. The brunch food was mediocre, next time Ill order from the menu
Update your hours. Just walked all the way there just to find it closed :(
Excellent food, good drag comedy show.
It was so much fun watching the show and the queen hosting was incredible!! So much love for all the Queens and Kings. Such a great experience, however the drinks can be a little pricey.
Great place to dance!
My favorite place to visit for drag shows good drinks and great music.
I went November 16th to Long Beach hamburger Mary’s & I didn’t like the show . The performers didn’t dance they walked around collecting money singing to the song . And they didn’t lip sing with correct words. When we went we had to pay cash for our party of 25 and didn’t let us know before hang . And the food isn’t good . The mimosas weren’t good either . It took forever to get a refill . They need to do some major changes . You pay 40 bucks plus a tip for bad quality . We could have went to another brunch and enjoyed ourselves . My last time . Velvet lounge is better
Attentive staff, good food and fantastic shows. Really a great experience. I’m just sad I couldn’t go to the Drag Brunch.
Great place to go dancing in a respectful environment. Girls are pretty, guys are nice, drinks are awesome and music is wonderful.
Liked it a lot, a new experience. Karaoke night. A decent sized crowd, some beautiful women and alot of good singers. Had some food while I watched show. Had chicken fingers with fries, half a serving was more than enough. Plenty of food.
One of the best places I love going to
Sunday brunch is so fun and the bottomless mimosas are dangerously awesome! The drag shows here are so entertaining
My first time watching the Queens do their thing. Was a really good time and fun to watch.
Went to the nightclub and it was fun. They had gogo dancers, and strobe lights, EDM and good drinks. Not for the faint of heart because the music is LOUD. It is a multi level club that hosts LGBT events.
So much fun! Went for a bachelorette party and was not disappointed. Good times, good drinks and awesome show.
Sooooo much to say so little time. If....NO when you stop by make sure you get a hamburger. I got the black and blue boy and it was EVERYTHING!!! You have the option to do the brunch for $30 sum odd dollars...that includes the bottomless mimosas. If you want the bottomless mimosas its $21.99 after taxes. The show was VERY entertaining. A must see!
Good show.. It was busy before the drag show. One female server was kind of rude. The nachos we ordered are good.
I passed by in front of the restaurant, night club and like always nice people friendly and lots of pretty girls. The guys are respectful and nice. The food looks delicious and the desserts are to die for. They have an outside display and its real. Quite appetizing. The staff like always friendly with a smile. A female host spoke to me quite charming and quite. Very nice Over all I give the facility 4 stars out of 5. Good job people. Much love and keep the dream alive. Dont spread rumors about me please, even though there real.
I started it off with a Cadillac Margarita oh so delicious then I got a Marys handbag very good & delicious and inside that hand bag came with fried pickles, macaroni & cheese balls, onion rings, French fries, chicken fingers and hot wings . Besides the food & drink being good it is expensive but The talent show had some very good performers. I enjoyed everyone of them . Kurency came in 2 place.
The drag show was fun and most of the servers friendly (except ours), but if you Have Hamburger im your name, you should do Hamburgers well. Attached is the disaster called wyagu beef cooked Medium.
Given the pandemic this was still a fun experience
Great food and also a weekly Drag Show
The enterainers are phenomenal, wait staff is fantastic, security is attentive. A great party!
Burger was so yummy but the wait for my to go order was way too long but i enjoyed the show while waiting
Had a great visit. I wish the bar was more accessible for folks with disabilities, however.
Always friendly and fun.
It was my first time and it was fun and different. Food was good
We arrived around noon on a Sunday. We didnt want the crunch buffet, just the menu. The menu was very limited with basically deep fried everything. There was a limited drinks menu as well. They didnt even have frozen margaritas as an option, only on the rocks. I wasnt impressed. It had been years since I was last there, not sure if I will return.
OMG, I havent had that much fun In probably 30 yearsAnd all walks of life flowed thereThe atmosphere is AwesomeWe celebrate my friends 59th Birthday this past Sunday. It A must go to
Good food, tasty drinks, inclusive, friendly crowd. Pretty awesome.
Had alot of fun ... will definitely be returning
Fun AF... totally recommend it
If you need an invite, give yourself one for lunch!
This place is a local staple whether youre LGBTQ+ or not the food is great the people are great. I always feel comfortable and accepted here.*Drinks are expensive but strong so
Amazing fun and so many talented artists here it was so much fun
Being a Security guard here is horrible and was not worth staying. When I was working here I didnt mind the LGBQ atmosphere because I dont discriminate and actually enjoyed the friendly people. But having to buss tables at the end of the shift and escort people from location to the outside patio is truly annoying and takes away from exactly being a Security guard, also the safety of guest. They seem to be doing way to much: like Process new to current guest in. Frisk guest down. Direct guests to host. Then comes the bad part to where someone wants to go to the patio area (so now you have to stop what you are doing). then on to of that, make sure to stay out the way, because literally youre right at the door and people are coming out! These weirdos have fired me months ago, really dont know why, and dont care either. You might as well go let security wash toilets to. Never Force courtesy on your security guards, or dont hire none period! Just ask the bartenders or host do they get home safe every night?(thats because Security makes that happen)
Food was good, but kinda of $$$ service was excellent
Well they would get five stars if their prices for the food and drinks werent soo high. The Cheeseburgers are good but the cheapest is $ 16. The drinks are pricey too plus a little weak and i am not the only one that has mentioned it to. Thats one main reason I dont come here offten. If they would lower their prices some then i would visit a little more and so would some of my friends.
Had so much fun at the drag king show! Food was decent. Drink was meh. A little overpriced for my penny-pincher taste, but the entertainment makes up for it. Staff was super friendly! 5 stars for them!
Them mimosas hit different
Drag queen Sunday brunch! Make reservations on Yelp, and prepare to have two hours of fun! Yes, you can get dollar bills there, too
The show is very fun and entertaining. Food is decent but go there for the show! Dontforget to show love to your servers as well. They will keep the drinks flowing ;)
Yo. Horrible services. Took 30 mins to get someone to come to us and 20 mins to get our check. Naw. I aint coming here.
Had a marvellous time watching the drag show
Customer service was great! Enjoyed the show and food! Definitely recommend!
I absolutely Love this place. They have VERY good prices. VERY friendly staff.
We had to sit outside because of a show going on. There are no heaters so food got cold quickly as well as us.
Their brunch line was lacking food for the other people. By the time, I made it to the line there was no waffles. No syrup. A hair in the fruit;( the bottomless mimosas were HOT. The show itself was the ONLY great thing.
Sunday Brunch has lost its charm. Same drag show every weekend without sign of new show development. Is brunch worth it? Mediocre options and quality. Omelette took about 1.5 hours to complete and the show was already midway. Reason is because they have 1 worker making an average of 50-100 Omelette per showing, using only two cooking pans. All you can eat brunch is not worh it anymore.
What an incredible presentation of the bourgeois
I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but felt I needed to in this case. I had to pay a $10.00 cover just to have dinner, even before any entertainment had started. Staff and food were great (but pricey), however the cover tainted my visit. Absolutely ridiculous! The prices on their menu were so tiny you need a magnifying glass to read them. I love to support LGBT friendly businesses but will not return to this one.
