Regal Edwards Long Beach & IMAX Cinemas is a great movie theater. I prefer it over movie theater chains such as AMC and Regal because the experience is better at Regal Edwards Long Beach & IMAX even though it is pricier. Regal Edwards Long Beach & IMAX has reserved seating and the seating is very comfortable with lots of legroom, larger armrest, and wider seats. Picture and sound quality is pretty good.
Great theater, good rewards program, and a nice location. Im too sad to hear this place will be closing. Considering CA has more theaters than any other state, Im sure they were hit hardest here. Another kill on the list for Newsom :P
Fantastic moment. Live band. Cool water fountain screen. Fire pit and couch area. Tons of lively happy men and women. The diversity of individuals looks fantastic.
Decided to bring my son on a Monday and it was very different, not having to deal with lines. This is a very good theatre to come to whether on date or with family. While you wait for your show time, Edwards does provide arcade entertainment inside. Outside you got a big fireplace right next to small playground. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, and things to do while you wait.
A wonderful kick back movie theater. The staff are diverse and polite. The womens restrooms are so clean. Lots of families and a few fun games in the lobby. Always has a HUGE variety of movies to choose from!
Prior to the lockdown, was able to get over to Long Beach town center for a movie. Although they are doing construction, the theater is great. Super clean and comfortable!
Ive been going here since I was a kid. This place remains my favorite movie theater experience. Theyve got the best snack food matched with the popular Long Beach Town Center. Seats are comfortable, ticket prices are good and parking is reasonably accessible. Stop by to watch a new movie then afterwards go get a bite to eat at one of the sit down restaurants or a quick bite to go from Inn N Out. They did a really good job on the whole center.
I found Regal theater to be a great experience which their staff is helpful and friendly. Hopefully we can all return to one of place of great affordable entertainment for the young and protected seniors.
I loved watching movies from regal cinemas.
Attended a screening/private event and loved the decor in the lobby. Interior decor gave me vibes of what I imagine old Hollywood used to be: classy and glamorous at the same time. Ladies restroom was clean and staff were friendly.
Movie was good but to hard to find if you park on other side of parking lot
Clean and clean and clean. Air conditioning worked, it wasnt stuffy or musty smelling. Bathrooms clean clean clean. We saw the movie Knives Out with very few other guests. It was a great night, thank you, staff, for the effort it takes.
I understand that at times (especially on weekends), there is going to a wait. My goodness...30 to 45 minutes to grab popcorn and a drink! The theater is fine and my family and I enjoy coming here; but the long wait time at the concession stand is ridiculous. The kids working there are having conversations with each other while youre waiting for your food. The female manager with dark hair is completely useless. The customer service desk is always unavailable. There is no one there to answering questions. I would give this place 5 stars; but the customer service really needs a lot of work and employees (including the manager) re-trained. Ive read the feedback from other customers that feel that same. Please get it together.
Good place to visit but wish they would upgrade to recliner seats. Movies are getting longer and comfort is important. I have the unlimited movie plan so visit at least once a week. Great value for $23.50 a month!
A nice enough theater, I always enjoy their customer service as well as their freshly prepared food items. However, the place could use a bit of an upgrade to its look and seats. Still I enjoy coming here from time to time.
We went twice during my visit because we really liked the theatre and there were great movies playing. The bathrooms were in good shape, the theatre was clean and the common areas sparkled. Loved all the neon (see picture)! My only complaint would be that in spite of having multiple windows for tickets, only 2 or 3 were open and the lineups were long on some cool cool nights. Brr.It also wasn’t obvious to me that I needed to stop at a little 1-person ticket taker in the middle of a huge lobby inside. I walked right by her, not realizing.
Two stars simply because we waited in the concession line for 30 minutes. This is beyond ridiculous. They only get two because although we were none too happy with the wait and my boyfriend was slightly rude the staff was nothing but pleasant and understanding.
The seats are comfortable and they recline. The food court has great selections as well
Almost empty theater...but met a lovely couple near me. We all enjoyed The Art of Racing in the Rain SO MUCH! Great movie, meeting these nice people really made my day!GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
My buddy and I came here to watch an early viewing of Bad Boys For Life. This movie theater looked pretty magnanimous from the outside. Check-in time was at 7:30 pm, but there was already a pretty long line inside the spacious lobby area when we got there about a quarter to 7.The employees that we came across were nice and friendly, but they were swamped at the concession stand and were not adequately staffed to serve a large group of people. We barely made it to our seats before the picture started. The movie was shown in ScreenX where some scenes were projected on the walls adjacent to the screen. Ive seen other movies with this feature at other theaters and I must say that I am not a fan of it. Its just a poor mans version of IMAX. The picture quality was excellent, however this movie theater was a bit outdated as it still had the regular seats. Most movie theaters these days have upgraded to the nice comfy recliners.
Although the seats are numbered, they dont recline. Everything else was good. Bathrooms were clean and staff were cordial.
So much fun. Enjoyed a movie screening, though there was a small altercation while everyone was getting seated out was handled and the movie was wonderful. I am excited to return to the location in the future.
Clean place. Good prices. Good vierity of snacks to pick from. Comfortable. Always have a good time coming here with family and friends. Great place to bring children.
Fancy. If you pay more for your ticket, lots of upgrade options. Go on a matinee for the best price. Expect to pay more for a small popcorn & drink than the ticket . Oh and easy parking
I was asked to show ID for a Rated R movie even though I clearly look over 17. Seats need an upgrade as well, all other theaters in my area have reclining seats. Additionally, the theater we were sitting in had a small green dot on the screan throughout the whole movie.
They still have movies thats already on Dvd or digital. They need to keep up with the latest movies. They not even playing The Photograph
Clean place to have fun
Seats from other chains are much better. How can this branch be so far behind? Prices are the same, so what gives?
This is the second time Ive been to the Regal Long Beach Town Center in the last six months and now I remember why. The lines at their concession stands are ridiculous. Youre lucky if you get through the line before your movie starts. They have two additional concession stands, one at each side of the main lobby that they NEVER open. I will never go to this theatre again.
Beautiful theater with retro vibes. This place is huge so theres lots of showings going on at all times. Would come here again purely for its aesthetic. Perfect for casual viewing.
This place is in need of maintenance. Auditorium 9 row J middle where we sat has gross stained deflated seat cushions that provide no support and make butt hurt in no time, broken arm rests, and broken seat backs. A bottle of water is $5. We saw two movies in one day: first in Auditorium 4 and it seemed older but was OK, and the second in Auditorium 9 which is in a shameful condition. Thankfully the movie was awesome and kept me in, so I chose to ignore my sore butt, otherwise I would have left. On the plus side, many screens offer many choices. Located conveniently next to the freeway.
Great time. Live band. Cool water fountain display. Fire pit and lounge area. Lots of lively happy people. The diversity of people looks wonderful. Thank you Long Beach.
Love it the seats are very comfortable and my boys dont get Disturbed with the how high the volume is in this location.
I enjoy the fountain in the front of box office. Very relaxing.
Clean, great screen sound system, friendly & helpful clientele. Great Food venue!
This place is GREAT. Just saw Joker in IMAx. Very well kept, pretty theatre, definitely a good photo op. Kaylynn (sorry if I didnt spell that right) was super helpful.Havent tried the concessions, but they look yummy.Picture and sound quality are phenomenal. Not new recliner seats, but Im not a fancy gal.
This is one of my favorite theatres. Today they gave a discount for regal card holders, which was a surprise I can live with.It is clean and doesnt smell like sweating gym sock. The parking is shared with the shopping center, but it is enough for everyone one, even hummers.Food: The popcorn and candies are good and the sodas can be refilled.
Very large theater with nice snackbars. The negative is the seats are very dirty. I wish I had a blanket to cover the filth!
Friday night, 26 theatres, only 3 registers open in snack lines. Been in snack bar line 25 minutes and barely moved. Line 25 people deep. Customer service.... what customer service??? Its none existent here.
It is perfect for watching movies. I watched Godzilla 2 here, and their speakers just brought everything to life. Love the sound system.seats are nice and comfortable, a bit wider than most movie stars in my experience which really makes it nice and smooth, giving me more space to get comfortable. If you are gonna watch a movie you really love, may it be epic action or soothing romance. this is the place to be.
Have always enjoyed it since it first opened! First choice for seeing a movie. All auditoriums are great. Changing demographics and accompanying issues along with rise of the home theater, on top of issues only THE LORD ALMIGHTY could resolve, it remains #1, by far, for a big screen motion picture experience. I pray the complex survives the exponentially changing climate in which it still exists! Much thanks from myself and my son who cut his teeth there over two decades past.
Bought full price tickets to watch Little Women and theater 23 is absolutely disgusting. It’s not only old but the seats are broken and stained. I would’ve paid more NOT to seat in here. Seriously, throw a match and remolded, clean, bless whatever. Management should be embarrassed to use this theater
Prices were good but they gave me the freshly made batch of popcorn and it had no flavor. I’m sorry but I don’t wanna be eating unflavored popcorn while watching a movie.
Its a movie theater. They need to get reclining seats. My least favorite of Regal theaters. My favorite is the Regal on Bloomfield in Cerritos Towne Center.
Snack bar has definitely improved! Wheres the upgraded seating though? Theres plenty of money going into that place to invest in some reclining seats.
They did not check anyone for tickets! Anyone could have been in the theater with us.Bought movie tickets online for 9:30 show. Doors to the auditorium didn’t open till 10pmScreen was black till 10:30Once the movie started took them 45 minutes to actually turn off the lights. What kind of show are you guys running? We purchase tickets ahead of time according to our schedule. The least you can do is be on schedule and professional with your show times. The entire theater from top to bottom was dirty as well. Will never go back there again. What an embarrassment.
My main complaint is the size of most of the handicapoed restrooms. The larger ones are always taken by able bodied individuals andctge snslkwr ones do not accomodatw wheelchairs
This is my place to go to watch movies. On Sundays, tickets are 8.00 each for any movie, any time. The seatings are assigned. This encourages me to make Sundays my movie day. I wish they would show more independent movies.
Big selection of movies, good location. I can almost always find something I want to watch here on weekends. Clean, good staff, comfy chairw
Cool theater. Every Sunday is 8 dollar movie day. They have an app. Its good. You accumulate points and get options to get free movie tickets, an upgrade to soda or popcorn, or a small sized drink or popcorn for free by redeeming your points.
Dirty theater. Cold, dirty and that charge extra to use your regal UNLIMITED pass card.
I am definitely spoiled by the more luxurious seating at other theatres and was surprised by how close in price it was to fancier theatres. My biggest complaint is the concession lines. I think they should open the side concessions to cut down on the wait especially on a weekend.
The not so good: The seats are worn out and uncomfortable and there is not a lot of room to let people by to get to their seats. But the good part is they have a crazy amount of movies showing at any time.
Went to see Adams Family, really good movie. It became uncomfortable when my niece had to experience a fight among grown up women. It ruined the night for the audience. Peace!!
Cool theater in a good location, however if IMAX is what you’re looking for don’t spend the money here. The screen sizes for IMAX here are the same size as any other regular screening in a newer theater. The description says they have reclining seats which “technically” is accurate, but they are the old seats that require you to push your seat back in order to stay reclined.I think if you’re planning on spending the money there are far better and more modern options not too far from here.
I waited in line for 10 mins, they didnt accept card only cash system was down . we payed cash no problem, they guided me to wrong movie entrance. I sit down for 10 mins and movie ended? Lmao worst moment ever
Nice theater would give it 5 stars if they had the recliner chairs that most theaters have now
Great theater...in A center with tons of cool places...comfortable seats...
Its an ok theater with good sound but the seats seem pretty ancient. And the walls look like theyve been that way since the 80s with the weird cruise ship for some reason. If this theater got a bit of a makeover it would be a prime spot to see movies.
Saw Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and it was great. Anyone who hasnt seen it should go.
The popcorn was delicious nice clean bathrooms & friendly customer service!
I like their cheaper Sunday price ( though $8 is getting a bit pricey, AMC has a $6 Tuesday) and l caught a movie on the way home when my dinner plans got canceled! I saw an excellent film called Breakthrough base on a real incident and the Power of Prayer! WOW! Do make a point to see this powerful movie! In the end glad my dinner got canceled and l got to go to the earlier show with a good audience!
The cashier today was really welcoming. We visit this theatre often
It has an Imax theater which can be reached by an elevator and it has reserved seating. There are a lot of choices. Not good parking for those with ambulation issues as the available parking is a good distance away.
I have been here three times in the last four months, and while I have never purchased anything from the concession stand, the food looks good there. The theaters themselves are very nice and clean as is the womens restroom. They offer reserved seating in the theater (but not the restroom LOL!) and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.
Its a good place to watch movies. The theater is usually bright and clean, the seats are comfy and the aisles are pretty wide. I havent been in the 3D IMAX theater yet, but the others have been great. You wont be mad going here.
Been going here since I moved to Long Beach and it continues to be one of my favorite theaters. I like the fact that it has not gone to the omnipresent lounge chair upgrade of other theaters because it feels like an actual movie theater and many of the screens are large with terrific sight lines and sound. The bargain Sundays has been a great add-- a cheap movie is the perfect palette cleanser after a day of football watching. Staff is nice, bathrooms clean and large. Large slate of movies helps. Im an old school movie guy and I appreciate being able to see a film in a clean theater without everyone lounging next to you with feet up as if they are in their living room
I like this movie theatre because it is nice and close by. I havent had a movie related problem here and its pretty clean if you ignore the people leaving there trash everywhere during a movie.
In theater seating is good. Line for popcorn SUCKS because there system takes too long. Best to bring in your own snacks.
For the second week in a row, my family and I are walking away because the lines at this theater are insane. 30 minutes to buy tickets, 40 minutes to get popcorn. The management here is terrible. Having only 2 lines open for tickets when there are about 100 people in line. Have only 4 concession lines open with more than 150 people in line. This is crazy, and frankly, insulting to customers.
Hardly busy on Christmas Day, comfy reclining seats, pre purchased, abd we went to a galaxy FarFarAway!
Its good to go with friends. there are amazing snacks, icee, and the theater itself is very big and has amazing sounds! its also in a good area in case you want to go shopping at Ulta or get some food from walmart
Theater was a mess, concession line was so long I would have missed my movie if I had waited. Dont bother with your standard BS apology, based on the prior reviews and applies, the management and staff are not interested in improving service here. Wont be back to Regal theaters.
Great theater, friendly staff. I liked the handicap section, convenient.
I live to come to the movies here but if only personal could be a little more efficient when serving popcorn and a soda come on I don’t think it really should take more than 15 minutes to give you a popcorn an icee and charge you but whatever
We had so much fun, we should go more often.
Nice theater, easy to use the app if you got the regal unlimited.
Coming from abroad, walking around watching the culture, i Come across this huge cinema with oldschool feeling, i entered and saw a magneficient place, only to have two sentences thrown in My head do you have a ticket, you cant be in here if you dont i was quite surprised this was what i was first met with. And didnt actually want to watch a movie after this meeting with substandard costumerservice. I Will wait untill i Come home to My own country and see Pikachu then. We might not have the surroundings this place have. But atleast the greeting Will be friendly Even to tourists
Unlike other movie theaters to many people conversations, (all over) and not respecting people who pay to watch the movie.
Sooo beautiful and big! Nice area with lots of shops and restaurants!
The theater is great. Staff is friendly. Screen is big. Audio is great. Prices are reasonable. I only give it 4 stars because the urinals do not have dividers. Seems like a minor complaint but it is very odd to not have any separaters between urinals. I feel like Im at a baseball stadium where the bathroom has 1 big trough.
Ive been coming here since I was a kid, and even though there are closer theaters near me Ill still make the drive. Staff is always friendly, theaters and restrooms are clean, and the concessions are good. This is where I go when I want a delightful movie experience.
Lousy Customer Service at the Concession stan, always closing stations just as the movie crowds arrive.Upper management refuses to bring in more Support per an reputable source. They closed a line in front of me, just as I got to the counter. The Kid, said he was sending the other kid behind the counter on break and closed the line in my face.I was late for the start of the movie because I had to get back in the end of another line!Really Lousy Management Skills, That is not how a business should be run.
Saw the movie Ford vs Ferrari and it was really really a very good movie
Kicked us out for matching the description of another Asian. We didn’t even have a chance to explain and we didn’t even get refunds. Racist staff and horrible customer service.
A very nice place to come with my daughter n watch movies here
Great theater lines moves quick has every Movie
I dont like the service here and the seating is outdated. AMC is better.
