Par 3 course, good for kids and beginners to start with.

Love this place. Its a great place for beginners, you wont have to use your driver unless you want to use it on the driving range. They sanitize the carts in between uses which is good to see. Have also had a breakfast burrito from the little diner inside that was scrumptious.

A great par 3 course that give you practice in you short game. They have a full 18 hole course and a long driving range.

Well maintained. People distancing fairly well. A few people werent wearing masks but most were. Nice 3 par. Directions not always marked well. Sand traps very hard- caked.

I pretty cool course, but good value. 18 holes on a Sunday morning for $19. The course is nothing fancy at all, but great value for what you are paying. On the weekends dont expect to be able to rent a cart, most of them will be gone by then. You are better off coming during the week when it is slower. You can also go online and reserve a tee time if you would like, but it requires your credit card information.

Their Google page said it would be open. There are golfers on the course, people on the range. It is 6pm on a Monday and the big guy behind the cash register says the course is closed and not handing out any more range balls. If that’s the case Heartwell, update your Google page so people don’t drive there thinking you are open until 9pm and have their time wasted. Maybe if on your actual website, you posted hours, that would help too.

Fastest bunkers in the county! Seriously, my ball landed in the bunker and rolled 25 feet. They are hard as a parking lot. The course is lighted but some of the lights havent worked in over a year. The greens are in decent shape though.

Called several times to find out how to book a couple of tee times for group of friends to play on a future date. No answer and no return phone call. Sent an email to manager but no response. Every other golf course in Orange County can answer the phone except for Heartwell. Manager said they don’t do groups or events but I just wanted info on booking a couple of tee times. I guess the skins game that they block tee times for is not considered a group?

A bit crowded btwn 5pm and 7pm but bucket machines work on driving range.

Come golfing here every weekend and have a great time with my brothers. This time around we scheduled a tee time for 5:30 got there 30 min early to get my tee time and they pushed ya back til 5:45Long story short very rude representative REESE MULTIPLE TIMES told us to wrap up our game before 8 pm. 7:30, 7:45, then 8. He then kicks us off the course and says I get paid hourly!!!After we leave we see Reese and a girl driving golf carts around the park.Will never go back again

I really enjoy the course itself and have no issue with the staff or service. My biggest criticism is with the company running their membership program. I have been enrolled in Players Club program for over a year and during that time it has only decreased in value. Used to be able to play this course for $5 at a members price, but now they charge $17.50 even on weekdays and afternoon rounds. In addition they increased the price of the membership and no longer offer clinics which I found helpful. Basically American Golf (the company running the course and membership program), has pulled a pretty big bait and switch with their members, and did not communicate any of the changes so people could assess their membership. For what it is the course is a 4 star, American Golf would be a -1.

Great little course for practicing or for beginners. 2 he 20m to play all 18. Most holes are in the 105 yd.range so make sure bring your wedges, nothing lower than a 9 is needed.

It was fun. I hadnt played there for 30 years but it is where started at a beginners tournament. It was good to be back even with the aches and pains!

Beautiful par 3 golf course with 18 holes. Great shape. Lots of trees, so many that from many angles it looks like you are out of the city and are somewhere very verdant. Nice driving range and the clubhouse and restaurant are very much Mid-Century Modern. Since 1958. Very much an Eisenhower era classic.

Nice par3. Very busy during peak hours. The teaching professionals are very good. Phil is fantastic with the kids.

Its an ok par 3 course. Short holes all the way through. But really reasonably priced. Fun fast paced golf. Great for kids. And short enough to walk and get exercise.

This course is a dump it use to be nice.

Paid for a full bucket of golf balls but the machine failed to fill it up. Other than that, it was nice.

Great place to practice your short game. I played on a Sunday morning and the price was under $20 and the pace was better than i expected. Finished in a little over 2 hours playing 18 and waiting a little. I would recommend for anyone looking to improve short game, par 3s, approaches and have a good time. Met some great people too..

Good service in the cafe. Greens and fairways are always well maintained. They always have good customer service in the proshop, except for the gentleman who works there. Overall had a good time playing!

Fix the tee boxes,lights and hot water in the bathrooms.Keep the carts charged.The greens are in good shape.

Lots of spots at the driving range, but it closes at 6pm. You cannot find hours anywhere, staff wasnt particularly helpful.

Plenty of stations, but most are usually occupied. Yardage is well marked and there are enough signs to provide distances from anywhere on the range. Like most ranges that use mats they do force hitting off the grass at least two days per week. I dont recall which days. They just replaced the net that keeps balls on the range, which made the place look better. I dont know how they wash balls before re-filling the hopper but it doesnt do a great job, but its adequate.

Prob best par 3 value in the area. We love playing here to work on our short game. The front 9 plays a bit longer than the back 9, and you can easily expect to spend 2.5-3 hours here to walk all 18 holes, which is very enjoyable. I see some people ride on carts here which is really not necessary, its a short par 3. The balls cant get that far...

Used restaurant for card playing and lunch. Food is amazing and so is the service. They are very accommodating.

This is a decent facility for what it is. However, the range has been closed a lot this past year for various reasons. Sometimes multiple times in a day. Anymore, I call before heading over, but have still had the range closed upon arrival, even after being told it was open 10 minutes before. I understand things happen, but it seems its the same things over and over with no attempt to fix them other than putting a bandaid on it. Its a shame,

Heartwell Golf Course is my favorite course for so many reasons. One, they have a bomb chicken fried steak breakfast with all the fixings for a damn good price. Second, this was my first 18 hole course I ever played and third, I hit my first birdie at this course! I dont even care if I sound corny, this place will always hold a special place in my heart.Its a 3 par course with two water areas you have to hit over. Not a hard course, but great for if you want to stop by after work and clear your head and work on your swing.

1st time here. Holes are no longer than approximately 140 yards. Greens are fine but a lot of subtle slope. Tee box poor shape. Between tee box and green are tight lies or just plain dirt. Cheap to play. All par threes. Doubt Ill go back.

I was in Long Beach on Saturday 12-01-2018, it was recommended that I play this nice little Course, and read most of the reviews. And I have say the Staff was very, very nice. Fast Past was not what I experience this day as most of the reviews stated that fact, but unfortunately it was slow and stacked up so bad that you have two groups waiting to Tee-Off at the same time, due to people trying to teach, new comers, understandable but not early in the morning when the serious golfers usually play. Started at 8 am something, just to work on my short game on this 18 Hole Par 3, man everyone of you guys was wrong, so I did the First 9, and at 11 am I decided to go ask for a refund for the 9 Holes I wasnt going to play, cause of the stack up on the Tees, well I was told that I couldnt have a refund or a Raincheck, which I was going to give away, cause I rarely down in that area. So I will not be back, but thanks for taking care of your customer, even the bigger courses give you a raincheck, but not Heartwell. I have never played with a back up of 2 to 3 groups waiting to tee-off.

Friendly staff and pleasant facility

I keep having bad experiences with them being under staffed and equipment breaking. The weekend is always so crazy but they only have one person in the clubhouse? They run out of balls and have no idea where the guy who deals with that is. I have a players pass so I need to wait for them to give me a code to redeem a new bucket of balls because it expires quickly so I would need to wait for the guy to magically be found. Everyone looked frustrated. Other people, people who worked there, and I. Kinda disappointing

The driving range is constantly full, even a few minutes before closing. When I did shove down to the very end spot, I found out that they charge you a dollar for the plastic driving Ts and almost 7 for a can of Budweiser.On the plus side: The store employee was very nice, and nobody gave my little group a hard time for being exceptionally bad and having a good time.

Only visited the driving range but I had some concerns. There were only a handful of range ball buckets. Most concerning were the numerous groups of people taking their sweet time to hit their balls. For example, several people would hit a few balls, walk away to do something on their phone for give minutes and then come back and hit some more. This happened while several people were waiting for place to hit. Management should be on top of that behavior.

Went just to driving range. .plenty of parking. ..price for a large bucket of ball is high all over ... they have mats to hit off over ..you must buy a rubber tee or bring your own if you want to tee it up ...

I so enjoy your course! But, I am disappointed they dont check to make sure everyone is safely off the course, b4 locking the gate, after turning out the lights!?!?!. Someone may be Hurt and then what? Its important for us patrons to be responsible for the time, but sometimes we cant be responsible if we are injured. Someone may be Hurt, and then what? Other then that, as a beginner, I absolutely LOVE THE COURSE! (Just please try to make sure everyone is safely out), see u next Monday..?!?( And as a pool playing Lady, come give It a shot, Ladies.),. Look at It as a GIANT Pool Table... Hehehe... Always an issue trying to play golf easily. And always an attitude by main woman as you get shoved back further and further. Tired of the bad relations here and always just too hard. Never consistent or easy. Last week my bucket key didnt work and again today. Then an attitude from the lady. At least Bixby is polite.

The course needs alot of work the greens are pitiful fairways are muddy and the tee boxes are a joke, someone is making money and not putting one dime into improving the course its just a shame.

The course is Awesome! We live in Temple City and wanted play the course as my Daughter is going to play the SCPGA! I called and asked for info, the Lady on the Phone (Kim) said come to the course if you are a member and we are SCGA members and also at the Arcadia Par 3 ! She hangup on me without listening to me! when we went there around 12 she said the SCGA membership cant be used untill 2 and we would have to wait! We waited! Another person at the counter when she left, let us go to the course and charged us the membership rates!Went there today at 1130 same thing she asked us to wait and when i told her that the last time, the gentleman let us go early with the membership rates, she said that there are always new people and some dont give the correct information! We had to pay full price for playing the course as we could not drive back to Temple city!She (Kim) was not friendly and informative, she also did not treat me well! Her attitude towards me was not nice, while she was nicer to other people!Just because my daughter has to play golf we have to go back! Hope she will be nicer or we dont come across her.. If kids cant play if we are members! its really discouraging the

My wife and I love Heartwell golf course. It starts at the check-in desk with happy smiling and helpful staff and a very well kept Golf Course with many challenges for the short-game. Nothing better after a round of golf in the resturant at the course. The staff is very friendly and are constantly checking to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you for the great experience and we will keep going back to play!

Inexpensive par 3 golf course 18 holes. Lit at night. Perfect for getting together with busy friends to swear at little dimpled balls.

Save your money and stay away from this place. The range is a joke; either the ball machine isn’t working or the machine is out of balls. The staff is friendly, but the management of the range is a complete joke. So unless you love to be frustrated, stay away from this place

Love this course! Very affordable par 3, walk or ride. Well kept and always has curious golfers.

Went there yesterday for lunch and the service was outstanding. Their grill was MIA so our choices were limited, but our waitress, Sydney, more than made up for it. Great food and service with a smile.
