Great park to get fresh air and exercise. The memorial garden is beautifully poignant & the hike up to the gazebo is short but gets the heart pumping! From there, the view of the city is something else!

My lil bro used to love going to this park. But then they tore out all the play structures with the promise that they would be back in the spring. Pretty sure spring is past us at this point.

Love playing disc golf here. The first few holes are pretty easy and they get a little more technical as you go. Great view of the city from the 18th tee.

Playground was closed for renovations, but bathrooms were open and clean. The rest of the park is well maintained.

It is amazing that we live in area that has so much beauty. The hike to the gazebo is steep, but a great workout. Along with the trails around the park as well. There is frisbee golf, basketball courts, picnic tables, a memorial, and vast areas of free space to run around. It is a great park to get out and get fresh air, take the kids to run around too (or roll down the hill like I used to as a kid), take your animals for a walk, or even just to relax. Bummer that the playground and backstops are gone, but hopefully a playground is rebuilt.

Definitely a gem in Lompoc, in location, facilities and view, but disc course and fitness trail and stations in need of maintenance. Great neighborhood place for short walks, with paved paths for slap children or less able people, or the hill for a short walk with view for the moderately able. Hopefully, the maintenance is just deferred until COVID restrictions are lifted.?I followed the signs with arrows saying This Way Only, and was stuck for some time, going round and round, and finally had to violate, sneaking off to get lunch.

Great disc golf park.

Nice park. My toddler loves to come here when we come into town. Pretty clean for the most part. Only downside is there is no playground and there are a lot of young adults that like to hang in the parking lot blasting their music. Really like the vet memorial that is there.

Great place. Where the dedication trees are is a beautiful walk. My father has a tree here. Since his passing, I love sitting at his tree and talking to him. It is a peaceful, beautiful nice place to go in the city of Lompoc, Ca. I dont get there often, when I do..... Beattie park is always on my MUST GO List

Its a shame that they pulled out all the juggle gym equipment. Hopefully it goes back up new and improved. Also Id love to see the memorial finished too.

I LOVED this park. The playground equipment isnt the most updated, but it was a nice park to take my son. We usually walked at least a mile around the trail and it was a nice place to take some picture of him

Every Sunday my Dad would take me to the park to play soccer with my family and friends.

Filmed Space X and the launch/return of the Falcon 9 Rocket. Perfect view of south Vandenburgs launch complexes from this park up the coastal mountains on the South side of the valley. PCH 1 is only blocks away. The history making launch and return 1400 ft away from Slick 2 was a step fwd in space exploration. Beattie park has seen the technology come about for everything from Atlas to Neptune class rockets and MX 12 nuke warhead earth orbiting ICBMs to The Space Shuttle, nuclear subs, the 379th airwing carrying nukes on B-52s around the world in flight 24/7/365 and the laser ICBM defense system is being tested here. If you want to see history or maybe the Delta2 3 4 and 5 HD sending spy satellites or maybe practicing for the end of the world. Keeping guidance and inbound tracking state of the art this high above lompocs trees and light pollution park is where to get the view and get sonic booms so close its like bombs right by you. Beattie park also has hoops Disc Golf, 18 holes, ample picnic areas with rolling hills, and trees to kick it under with your best girl in quiet secluded shade. With street lights running the north side of the park and steepest hills its a safe place to chill. Theres even a cement 10 story stair case across the street that cuts down to the valley neighborhoods below making walking from any where on the south east side a quick and interesting walk. The stairs are easily seen at nite from the park or many houses that line the hill across from the Park.

Excellent short hike park, workout stations on the exercise trail the goes up the hill to the southeast. City of Lompoc is taking better care of the parks! Help them out by picking up trash.

Nice park with walking paths and a good play area for the kids. There are tons of squirrels if you walk up the hill towards the mountainside. You also get a very nice view of Lompoc from up top.

It has all the camping facilities trail to walk or bike pond to fish bbq small and larger groups you can camp by trailer or tent they have a base ball field

Clean, easy to get to. A great place to bring the kids to fly their kites. Plenty of wind.

Its my favorite place to read in the car or walk around by myself. I feel the safest here. Quiet & calm. High up on the hill, theres always good breeze coming through.

Tranquility in Lompoc

Have always loved this place. Its green when all other parks let their grass die. It has trails for joggers, play equipment for kids, & tall grassy hills for rolling or box sledding. Its clean, quite & has a good view of the town. I used to explore all the back areas & ditches.

Its a very well kept and a clean and nice Park to go to if youre looking to just have some quiet time and chill out... recommend when you go to take a good book or some journals and relax on a beautiful day

The play equipment is pretty run down. The play areas are over grown with grass. Just not well cared for. But at least the view is nice and its got a nice walking trail.

Great disc golf course. Last few holes have quite the ups and downs. Course map would be helpful. The one in the board is torn and missing the last 7 hole tee offs.

Beautiful park for the whole family .

Morning walk at 5:20AM. Dark and breezy. Upper trail past the pavilion is overgrown with mustard which is beautiful but can harbor ticks. If you walk there check yourself and any pets you bring along afterwards.

What a great Park! Ive been coming here with my friends since 1987. Many a backseat brawl burning big bowls at Beatie with Bros in the la Bamba!!!! Good place to bring your kids for some frisbee golf, good place to get some exercise because its built on a mountainside it has some good elevation. Great place to meet your buddies and play some basketball. Or even bring some ice blocks do some ice blocking on the side of the mountain by the soccer field. Wow I havent done that in a while! Anyway just up East Olive Street just before 7th Street Southside Lompoc.be sure to hike up to the top and have a seat at the gazebo to watch the sunset or just look at the view of Lompoc. Decent park area with a few things to do. They have Santa Maria BBQ pits, a gazebo for parties, a small playground for kids, disc golf, and a nice paved sidewalk for walking. This has 4 pokestops and 2 gyms.

Best park in Lompoc. All the amenities you want, including a disc golf course. Spacious, safe, clean.

I dont like how they lock the gates while kids are practicing basketball on the basketball courts. Gates should remain open until practice is over so parents and kids dont have to walk so far from the courts to their vehicles.

Theres a gazebo at the top of the south-side hill. You wont see it from the parking lot, but its up there. The view is worth the climb up the short-steep goat-trail. Your first accent will peg your critique-meter though. Theres a par-course here. Its old, like from the 80s per the disco graphics which display the instructions. I know because I was there, I remember and its the 80s graphics from back when Par-Course was the rage. Relic plaques in their own right. A testament to the climate of Lompoc, CA. Not many people use the Par-Course, but they do play the Frisbee Football course. Carefully in the summer time though....Rattle Snakes!! A nice play ground for the kids and a Group BBQ canopy area with nice restrooms too.

A must see park of Lompoc. Nice trails. Plenty of area, tables, facilities, play ground & frisbee golf

I would give 5 starts for all the grass areas for walking or playing sports. However, the playground equipment for kids is really old and beat-down. There are orange safety cones on several parts of the play equipment to warn kids and parents that it is defective. This needs immediate fixes.

After moving to Lompoc I ended up getting into Disc Golf and I have grown to love Beattie Park. It is not extremely difficult but it has its own challenge. A few holes that can be challenge is #4, #7 Middle/Far Pin placement,#9 Far placement,#11-#17. Its an all-around good course for starters and non starters. Be careful heading out here during weekends there is a lot of parties during holidays/weekends they close a hole.

Rates up there with parks I have been at in much nicer neighborhoods/cities compared to the city of Lompoc

I like this park a lot! It has super open green grass area. This place doesnt have small BBQ place but they do have BBQ place for group and you need to reserve in order to use that area. They have small kids playground and swings but it is old and worn out. Still my kids love it! Also they have workout route you can hike. It is run down looking but I am glad they have something like that.

Not for the timid, lotsa up and down, easy to find, afternoon windy.
