The playground is a little bit out of date but that didnt stop my daughter from having a blast here. The trees are mature and beautiful. Tons of shade and would be awesome for family gatherings or photos. The stream that flows through is perfect for kids to play in.

This is a great park! Tons of shade trees and even some nice ones for kids to climb if they feel ambitious. The grass is soft and there is no litter. Garbage cans are very accessible and the canal that runs through it is definitely the highlight of the park. It is only a foot and half deep or so which makes it fun for all ages! The play ground is stimulating for little minds. A great place to hang out!

Very nice quiet park in Logan and is named in honor of a great football legend and person Merlin Olsen from Little House on the Prairie. Kids love to wade in the slow moving stream in the summer and there is ice skating in the winter. I have loved this park since my days many years ago as a college student at Utah State University.

Great little park with lots of shade! Has a shallow river running through the middle of the park that kids and parents can play in. Play equipment, volleyball net, and bike route are all fun things for the family to do. It also has quite a few picnic tables along with a very large pavilion for family gatherings or birthday parties. Really a great park!

I really like to take walks with my son here. The shade is awesome. Never hard find a shady place. There is a creek that runs through the park. This is a spot may kids use to cool off and play. The creek also helps keep the park nice and cool.

This is an awesome Park to go and relax and eat lunch. The stream runs right through the middle of it and is very shallow, a great place to play and ride a tube for a while. Tons of shade! The playground is fairly typical and there are two large covered pavilions. Lots of extra tables. In the winter sometimes they freeze the soccer field over and have ice skating.

This is one of the best parks Ive been to. The creek running through the middle is amazing. So clean, lots of shade, lots of activities for everyone of every age in the family.

Why dont we build playgrounds IN the shade! Too often the trees are removed and then a playground is put in the place. Just build the playground among the trees. This playground is very hot.The creek water is deciptivly cold though.

Merlin-Olsen is one of the best parks in Logan. My personal favorite, it has a nice little creek running through the center that the kids LOVE to play in and around.

Enjoyable park for adults and for kids. Plenty of shade in the summer time. Fun yet freezing Logan River running through it that the kids can play in (very shallow). Plenty of pinic tables. Bathrooms. All around a great place to visit.

I love coming to this park. I gotta always remember to bring extra clothes, a towel and water. Kids play in the stream and we play a lot of volleyball and basketball

Beautiful park! Nicely kept with plenty of grassy areas and shade. Two pavilions, kids play area, bathrooms, plenty of picnic tables, and a little creek running through it.

Lots of shade and walking paths. Our favorite is the river that runs through it. They purposely keep it low, 6 inches deep. The kids love that and the playground is right next to it so as a parent I dont have to make kids choose what to do. There are a couple of pavilions for eating purposes.

The best setting with large trees providing shade. Great play structure and shallow river to play in, great for hot days. Plenty of tables to picnic on.

Great place to take your kids. Love the big tall trees and the pretty canal running through it. It is slow enough that my 3 year old had no problem walking and playing in the water. The playground there is nice too but my kids preferred playing in the water.

This is a great park. Lots of shade. A great playground. Lots of open spaces for games. 2 pavilions. There is parking most of the way around the park. Great place!

My kids love this park. Plus having a dog park nearby (west side through the tunnel/bridge) also gives the whole family a place to stretch out and run.My kids love the stream in the summertime. It is rather shallow so they sometimes walk around in it, but you still need to watch them for safety.The playground toys are a lot of fun also.Sometimes we see people having drum circles, celebrating birthdays parties or some other social engagement here.In the winter we still come here and play. My kids like to walk on the now frozen stream with their boots and sticks. They crunch the ice and have just as much fun as if it were summertime.

Park is great, water is a bit squidgy with algae. Still great for a quick paddle date

Clean and comfortable, the bathrooms could use some ventilation, which is the only thong thats keeping it a 4 instead of 5

It has swings and slides. It is my sons favorite park so far. It also has lots of great shade for picnic lunches

Beautiful park with huge shade trees along the banks of the Little Logan River. The river is shallow and usually very safe in the summers for casual play. There are plenty of places to gather in the shade, a large open field for games, nice playground and even an indoor icerink. The Bridges and tunnels were add to what seperates this park from the average Utah park.

So nice. Attended a wedding photo shoot and it was so pretty. Well taken care of and clean. And no riffraff skate rats

It has a lot of things you can do there, and has a little river to play in. Although it is very beautiful and a fun place to be, the bathrooms are messy and gross but over all its a very cool place to be.

Absolutely the best community park I’ve been to in Utah!This park is well cared for and truly a gem in the Logan community. Every spot in the park is clean, well cared for, and well-designed.To be honest, it was one my favorite places to visit in town.

This is a really beautiful park in Logan Utah very close to the island. The park has a fun playground that is clean and kept up with. There is even a beautiful creak running through the middle of it that is covered by beautiful shade trees. This is one of my familys favorite parks. Theres even clean restrooms and plenty of covered picnic tables to eat on.Try it out if your looking for a fun tranquil Sunday n the park with family or friends.

My Grandmother has lived about 10 minutes away from this park for the last 50 years and I have always loved coming to this park. I am so happy to see how much it has grown over time. They have always done an amazing job keeping this park up.

Lovely atmosphere. Volleyball court, plenty of picnic tables and trees for shade. A playground and a lovely playground. Not to mention a field all included make this park a very nice place to come and have fun! Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors.

This is a great park! There is plenty of room for you and your family to grab a table and enjoy a lunch. The park has tennis courts I’ve never used, the Logan river running through it, and a nice playground for the kids. There is plenty of shade from the really old trees. Overall it’s a great park.

Such a nice little park. We were visiting from California so its very different. All the big trees and little stream running through the park were breathtaking. Had a nice playground for the kids and a lot of green grass to play on.

This park has been one of my favorites since I was a small child. A wonderful, peaceful, playful, gorgeous place.

Very peaceful calm and great for kids

This park is beautiful! So much shade with all of the huge trees. There is a small river/Creek going through that the kids always play in, but its far enough away from the main playground that you wouldnt be stressed about small child getting away and falling in. Just be watchful of that. My older kids go straight over to the water and we usually spend most or time playing there.There are large spaces for playing sports and having large gatherings.

A fun park, with lots of different things to do. Theres a volleyball pit, playground, basketball courts, a stream, several pavilions, and a multi-purpose field that can be used for baseball, soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, or any number of other games. The field is also converted to an ice skating rink in the winter. Overall an excellent place to take kids to play, host family gatherings, or get a bunch of friends together to play.

Beautiful park. It has a large field for running around, a really good playground, tennis courts, cute benches by acute little river that you can splash in that has a bridge. There is also a lot of shade and picnic tables on is just an awesome place to go take your family or just to go for a stroll. I love going to this park.

I love coming to this park in the summer when the water is flowing threw the creek in the middle. This park is well maintained, has access to a walking trail. Its within walking distance of downtown Logan, the Tabernacle, the Temple, USU and the Island Market. Has a playground, restrooms, covered picnic area, and a few tunnels which are kind of cool, also has basketball courts and a large open grass area.

Nice scenery and peaceful feeling

They have just redone there tennis and basketball courts a few years ago. They are much nicer now. The river is really fun to play on, and the park is great for picnics.

Started the urban trail race from there. Pretty area. Picnic tables playground, bathroom was still locked at 6:50 am. Lots of shade. Very shallow creek runs through the park fun for kids to play in.

Fun park, 2 pavillions. Bathrooms. Creek runs next to it and kids play in it which is very fun in the hot summer. Playground equipment gets too hot during the day, but its decent sized. Most only come here to play in the water. Lots of trees for shade. Good family park.

Lots of open space and grass. Theres a great playground for kids and sidewalks for bikes or wheelchairs. Theres also a shallow man-made river that flows through it.

One of my favorite parks in Logan. Its also very safe being well lit and covered in cameras. Even when its packed its large enough that you never have to worry about space

Went for a family afternoon at the park and had a great time. There are tons of huge trees that provide great shade and the grass is well maintained. We were surprised to see the canal was dry but maybe it is always dry this time of year. It was great to see lots of people out enjoying the nice park.

This is one of the best, most beautiful parks in Cache valley! We even had our reception there years ago before all the new construction, its even better now!!

I love this little central park!The stream is a nice place to cool off in the summer time, and its well-maintained so the water doesnt get gross and murky.I like coming here to read and meditate. Its so relaxing.Basketball courts.Plenty of open grassy space for sports.Huge, gorgeous trees. Lovely surrounding neighborhood with those cute little old houses.Main Street is within reasonable walking distance if you wanna grab something to eat.

There is a nice playground for the kiddos, a shallow river that runs through the park, tennis courts, several bridges, a fun hidden entrances, large areas for frizby and kites, and several food areas andThe only real draw back is the parking and that there is only one bathroom.Great place to take engagement photos or other kinds of photos.

The trees are huge. The park is big. The atmosphere is safe. There are playgrounds, bathrooms, volleyball courts, and tennis courts. The only problem is that the playground can get hot, and there are no hammocks or slack lines allowed

One of the prettiest parks in Logan, the river is wide but shallow. The playground has swings, slides and a mini rock wall! They recently added two tennis courts and hoopes, has a field for baseball. Lots of trees and picnic spots. The best part is the ice rink in the winter which is uncommon due to weather and scary stories for the fall in the tunnels!

Its a nice peaceful park. I loved sitting next to the small river that runs through it and listening to music. There were a lot of trees to provide shade from the sun. There was only one thing I didnt like which was the bathroom because there was a lot of water on the floor. Other than that it was a great park to go to.
