Ever since the company fired and hired every single person working at the front office. This neighborhood has gone down hill!The people working at the front office abuse their power to harass residents, increase the land rent to numbers never before seen, tow cars without warning from people’s driveways, charge outrages fees for very simply problems, threaten people with their lease saying to residents that they will evict them in 5 days and on top of all that. The management sends out rule changes that do not give the residents the time or money in order to comply with the new set rules.UNIVISION 23, THE HISPANIC NEWS STATION HERE IN DFW HAS COME AND TRIED TO INTERVIEW THE MANAGER ON MANY OCCASSIONS IN ORDER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT EVERYONE IS SO MAD ABOUT.DO NOT MOVE OR LIVE HERE!

Nice park and pool real cool

Wish I can give negative 5 stars cuz this place is not a home its a military community pretty much. They jacked up the lot rent than tell residents what to do with their own house. I cant even grill on my own porch cuz they said we cant do that. We cant have our bikes outside....hope you have a shed. And if your paint fades than you have to repaint it. They have a very long list of things you cant do so if your old and dont have a life than ya come live here but other than that residents are moving like this place has a curse on the land.

DONT MOVE TO THESES HOMES! IT IS THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I AM MISERABLE.I moved here a year ago and it is the worst mistake of my life.Ever since the new management has taken over they want to charge for every little thing.I was paying $535 for seven month then they sent a notice to me saying I owed the rent AGAIN after I had already paid it! And the rent has gone up to $689. Its ridiculous!It was so peaceful and happy. Now Im stressed and depressed and I cant stand this place anymore.I wish I had never moved here!Im looking for a new apartment now.Update: 3/28/17

I’ve been living here for 4 years and the new office staff is going above and beyond with cleaning up the community. I’m so happy I can actually leave my home without being blocked in because of the cars on the road. I spoke to a few of my neighbors and they feel the same way. We want this park to be cleaned up and we want our kids to feel safe here. Thank you Northwood Office Staff for stepping in and getting the job done right. A lot of these people here have 7 cars to one home. It’s unfair and I’m glad this has been taken care of. I was given a letter to repair items on my home. I will be completing the items this week. It’s good to see the community getting cleaned up. I was Just telling my husband how bad it was before and how we needed to relocate asap.

If I could give this place a negative 0 rating I would.The people here are moving out in record numbers.What do you think that means?The current Manager and her Minions are unnecessarily rude.Dont waste your time here.

They posted a warning of my cars I had parked on my parking area. Dated 11/18/2018 but wrote over the 18 to 15 to make it seem like they posted last week.I started moving my cars to a garage my Friend works at. I moved the first one early in the morning at 8:00am I was having my friend pick up the other one on his lunch at 2:00. When I went to greet my friend the car was gone. I went to the office to ask about the towing company and on the door they said they were at lunch and coming back at 2pm. It was 2:20 with the door locked I had to knock to have someone help me.Now its Thanksgiving I have to pay $300 to get my car out I dont get to go see my family. I tried to get my bonus early so i could have at least. Dinner for my sister and my brothers at home but now Im out of money out of a car. Im struggling.Thank you Northwood for calling the towing company and screwing up my life and my Thanksgiving and my peace I thought I had thank you. I hope your Thanksgiving is amazing with all the money youve stolen from the community that is stuck with you guys.

This summer marks 30 years since I moved to Northwood. Have seen a lot of ups, downs, and changes in that time. The current management team is kind and does a good job, perpetually trying to keep the place cleaned up and in good repair, and the rules enforced (which is important when you have hundreds of people living close together!). Most of the residents seem to be hard-working people raising families and making a life. The location, at the intersection of I35 and Hwy 121, is perfect if you have to travel all over the metroplex frequently. I didnt come here intending to stay so long, but a lot of people do that here. Its a good place.

Worst management ever they say come by the office discuss the issue but when you go up there they kick you out. Not very welcoming place. If you are looking to buying a home here expect to 35 dollars extra a year since every year the land rent goes up. You are not allowed to have kids bikes out side and visitor parking app that is operated by towing company does not work. The pool here is just luxury trap never opens as if they dont want to pay the water bill. They treat this place as an HOA but dont fix the streets they are all beat up. Stray cats every where. WORST PLACE LOOK SOME WHERE ELSE LET THIS BE YOUR LAST PLACE TO LIVE YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY!!

The office people are very rude they fine you for about everything little thing about your home. No parking spaces ever avalibe and I called and asked if the pool was open and this lady named dennis answerd and was the rudest person I’ve ever spoke to

I dont understand how some reviews are allowed to be posted with no real in depth explanation as to why they are making the rating that they are giving. I put 1 star because 0 is not an option.DO NOT move here! The new management is rude, unprofessional (both in appearance and manner) and are basically bullies. I understand that they are trying to implement new rules I understand that; but for them to go from house to house and taking picture of YOUR CURTAINS and telling you that they need to be a certain way, mind you they are not broken just different style but ALL WHITE NONE THE LESS, is ridiculous. They will also take pictures of the plants that are on the PROPERTY YOU ARE PAYING for, and tell you to get rid of the vegetables or fruits you are growing because it doesnt look nice. They are not overgrowing or blocking anything. They take pictures of EVERYTHING, you basically cannot have anything on your porch or around your home.Now, to the parking situations. You cannot park parallel (fully or half the car on your drive way and the other on the street) for it will be towed. UNLES you are RENTING THE HOME you are living in from them. Then yeah; everything is awesome. Thus, you cannot host parties because the location that your visitors can park are in assigned spots which your visitors have to download an app to do so and there are not that many spots available. What happens if you are hosting a party while another community member is as well? So, say good bye to having visitors. Also, you are basically allowed to only have about 3 cars (if youre lucky, usually its 2) per house hold; because that is the amount of space you are given with your lot. Now a days, the average working family will have that or more. You can try and add cement to make more room BUT FIRST you have to go ask the city for permission and then MAYBE they will allow you to do it. And even then, it only benefits them because; you are the one that will pay for it and if you move they get to resale or rent that property at a high price because it has that addition.Next issue, there always seems to be a leaky fire hydrant or someones house has a burst water tube. AND the water spills onto the STREETS FOR HOURS! Besides the negative environmental effects, it makes a mess. When it rains, the streets flood because they have not fixed the curves on the roads and there are pot holes constantly on the streets. The community park looks horrid and the UPS/USPS mail boxes are damaged but they havent done anything about it (and I have been here 5+ years).This year it took them until MID JUNE to open the pool (they have two) and they only have one open at a time.Oh, and there are like 4 homes that are borded up/in shambles that are not being fixed or removed. But by jove, if you have a gardening tool or different color paint on your home; that is unacceptable and you have to pay a $50 fee every month until it gets fixed. You would think with them raising your property rent every month they would use that money to fix the community.Thus, yeah come to this community that is full of fees for what ever reason they feel that day and where you dont have any control of YOUR HOME. My family regrets moving here; but at the time it was the only housing situation we could afford for our family. Please dont make the same mistake as us. If you cant afford a house; do with an apartment. At least, they dont nag you for every little thing, bully you, and they at least use some of the money collected to fix their problems. If this is to your liking, then come on board!***The parallel car is an example of those who do not get towed; because they are always living it like that. BUT, one of the homeowners that lives further down had his car towed and it was in the same parking manner as this one.I have also heard, that the current manager (the rudest of them all) is in some legal situation with one of the tenants due to the current situation of the community.

So many kind helpful people in this world and yet we managed to get stuck with the worst management I’ve ever experienced.

We pay every month the rent i speak to the manager and ask show me photos for my water she refuse give me to me how i pay $ 1543 only for rents this is crazy nobody understand im customer and nobody give resolutions very bad live here expensive expensive small pool for a lot a people

This place is steadily declining. The actual place is actually nice for a mobile home park. However they do over charge you on your monthly rent. For the past two months they have been charging 50 to 100 dollars in water. When my husband went to ask them about it they said that we probably have a leak. Which we dont. They also charged my neighbors extra on the water as well. Funny...we must all have leaks. Also they didnt pass half of the community their rent invoices, we had to ask for it and on top of that they are charging a late fee. I went from $635 to $821. The sooner we can leave the better. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Live on this place since 2010 and never had any problems till new management team starte 3 months ago. Place its a mess, manager is racist and prejudice. Cant get help or any kind of assistance when needed. And when ask for help or have questions the manager is very aggressive and disrespectful to ward people. This place its been on the TV news and lots of other midia sources for the mistreatment towards their residents. And its my andrustending that its been reported to many different government and city agencies and there. Majority of residents complain about fees been charged to them for no reason, cant have visitors, my case they try to charge me rent twice in one month. Visitors parking are rented. I have lot of negative stories from residents about Northwood I can just keep going. Northwood not a fun nor good place to live anymore its why I looking to move out.

This is a very nice place to make yourself a home first of all great staff, theres a pretty young blond lady that works there she can help you out quick to find a great house! Recomendable for sure!!

This place is great and we got new management they give you a couple weeks to pay.

I live here its a nice neighborhood if there are problems maintenance will come and fix them almost immediately there is a park the only complaint is that if you go to the mabox between 5:30 to 6:15 the mailman will syill be there

I cant no imagine how I have to pay if they rent me the trlr .
