We had a pop up wedding by the lake. The weather was amazing and the backdrop of the lake/park was beautiful for pictures. Thanks to the City of Laurel for allowing us to exchange nuptials here.

Easily the best park in the area. The surplus of Canadian geese can lead to problems, but otherwise the wildlife makes for an attractive park that feels lived in. Would love for the path to go all the way around (it currently cuts through some houses).

The park is beautiful and scenic. Plenty of space for picnics and they have grills. I went there at dusk for a friends going away, so I didnt get to explore. So hopefully next time Ill be able to see more and give it a 5 star. But for now 3 star for the one hour glimpse.

My 3-year-old son really loves walking the path around the lake to watch the ducks and geese swimming in the water. Pre-Covid, he really enjoyed playing on the big playground too. We are avoiding public playgrounds currently, but still love walking the lake path when the weather is nice.

Really great spot to live. Everything is right there and view is awesome. Laurel is becoming the place to be.

Nice place for peacefull stroll or high intense workout. Picnicking or bbqing with friends or family. The lake is great for fishing or just relaxing. Love this place.

A nice park we were there for a protest, but its a nice park and it has trail to walk/jog/bike ride.

Walking around the lake is a mile. Great shopping close by

Nice place to relax with friends and family. Let the little ones run around and also have fun on the play ground. They can also ride their bikes on the trails or play soccer on the open field. So bring a good book, a blanket and yourself to enjoy a nice day at Granville Gude Park.

Great place to take your 4 legged companions to. They love it. The path surrounds a nice pond to watch the ducks.

Quiet, clean, and serene. The lake was just cleaned last summer and the walking and the mile long jogging trail is perfect for an afternoon workout...my son and I have been coming to this lake for the last 5 years since we moved to Laurel...

The grounds are nice and its a good place for a get together. Its also kid friendly

Nice views and nice people. You could walk around the lake to take you back where you started and a good amount of space to sit. Great open space to sit in the grass. Nice to take everyone to eat if you want to cook out. You could sit with the animals if youre relaxing, it makes you feel apart of nature. I usually be like sitting on the stage everytime I make my way through. Nice to have a picnic with open field and nice shaded area under a few trees.

Love this my baby girl is always happy when we go and it’s clean there...the view of the Lake is just beautiful

Beautiful place to relax and think

Good park for running, walking and spending time with family and friends. The only thing is that sometimes the paths get crowded with people biking, walking, running, skating on the same trail, so if youre running you have to interrupt your pace to get through. Otherwise is a clean and well kept park that I enjoy visiting.

Nice area to get away in the heart of Laurel. There are benches, a play ground, and areas to look over the lake. There arent aby public restrooms.

This is a very nice park near the lake in Laurel.

Its a decent park with a great set up! I love the way the playground is set just under a canopy of tall trees. Its close to the lake and walking path. The playground is also near a nice wide open field allowing kids and parents to play together; running, kite flying, football or frisbee, tag, whatever strikes their fancy! It was nice to see some families laying a blanket down and eating dinner on the lawn. The paddle boats are going again! How wonderful is that?! I look forward to going back!

Clean, pretty, nice pond, can rent paddle boats at a certain time of year. HOWEVER parking, for those that cant walk far this is NOT the park for you. Nice rental hall!

Nice spot! Lakeside path. Fantastic climbing playground. Shaded picnic areas. The 1.25 mile walking/biking path could be better labelled as it intersects with many other neighborhood paths.

Its a great part for jogging, walking and relaxing. There are lots of summer time activities available like movie nights and live shows. The greatest drawback is that this park has no public restroom. I wish that the Laurel park and recreation would remedy this situation.

Canadian geese love this park. Watch out for the poop. Bikers need to announce themselves when they come up behind you. They dont. Dont see any rules or directions for bikers.

Nice open field with a playground, stage, pavilion, lakehouse and boats to ride around the lake. Also a walking path to stroll. The City of Laurel has some nice events there throughout the year.

Really nice scenery, there is a really nice play ground for the kids. I saw paddle boats and of course the lake to walk around. Really nice family environment!

Good size lake for walking or jogging and plenty of grass space. Just needs some sporting fields like tennis or basketball courts. There is a playground for kids.

My grandsons 4thbirthday celebration was held at Granville Gude Lakehouse and it was a really fun time! The weather was gorgeous and the scenery was beautiful as well.

This was a nice, small shaded park that wasnt too busy. There are indoor bathrooms right next to the playground area which was a huge bonus. Its a modern playground for older kids. Any younger than an agile 3 and 1/2, I think would be too young for this playground. It is next to a lake that we did not explore, but even though the park area is nestled in a retail district, you cant tell. Theres also picnic pavilion that was in use next to the playground area. Very convenient. Worth going for the shade and the bathrooms alone :-)

Always a favorite park!! Has shade on hot days.Broken things get fixed. Walking trail a fun option.(We just really wish for weekday bathroom access.)

I was staying at a nearby hotel and saw this from the parking lot. its a nice place for an easy and enjoyable walk.

One of my favorite places to go and meditate. Ive been coming here since the early 90s. A treasure in Laurel.

Beautiful lake and walking path! Great place for family and little kids. There is a park and performance stage, as well as a nice big lawn in front of the stage if you want to have a picnic. Paddle boats can be rented also. And in the summer, there are family movie nights!

Excellent town park with a neighborhood park feel. Lots of well organized and promoted annual events, including those tied to local schools and city council. Promotes healthy ecosystem. Highly used but certainly not crowded walk/run area, over a mile. BRAND NEW PLAYGROUND. Several picnic table/rental spaces. One decent sized stage. Space big enough for kiddie soccer and kite flying. Pet friendly. Fishing, seasonal paddle boat rentals and ice cream stand. Short walk to family friendly restaurants. Party room space to rent. What else could you need?

Over the years its been at its highest and at its lowest. Its fell somewhere in the middle right now but inching towards better. The playground/field is clean and if you dont mind a few angry ducks and cyclists aiming straight towards you, its a good little walk for a family. The water is still brown and may look like it will give you an extra limb if you get too close, but I see people fishing so I assume its safe enough.

Great for a walk but watch out for the duck droppings everywhere.

Place we sought out because of pleasant memories. We stayed at the motel at the top of the hill. Our boy, when little, learned to ride his bike on that same hill. Park is very peaceful. It has nice grass on which to lounge. There is a playground for little ones. There is a large pond with domesticated ducks and it is surrounded by a paved walking trail. It abuts to the main intersection in town.

Makes walking fun for me. I love it.

While still in the midst of being renovated with the lake drained it park still offers a nice strol around the lake. Both joggers and strollers offer a friendly hello with the occasional child on a bike. Aside from a brief few hundred yards thru the trees the walk offers no other shade. Boats are for rent in the summer at the boathouse.

I love it! so relaxing and peaceful they have a play ground for the kids. and I also walk the trail. they have paddles boats, on the river, and movies to watch so much you can do. I really love it I will be going back again real soon.

When the WGTS 91.9 ice cream tour came here, it felt like the entire Laurel community came together. There were kids playing in the playground and in the park. Prize giveaways and live music to enjoy.

Nice path to walk

Nice park to take the kids to or to take a walk around the lake. The lake has paddle boats as well.

My family and I went to see The Incredibles movie at the park. It was fun being out there seeing friends and neighbors and enjoying the weather as well as the movie.

The best thing about this playground is the tree cover. It is nicely shaded, which makes it perfect on hot, sunny days in the summer. The 2-5 year playground kept my three-year-olds interest (unlike some other playgrounds weve been to) so he wasnt constantly trying to climb the big slide for the older kids. The only thing I did not like was the amount of litter around the play area. There were quite a few empty bottles lying around, old poppers, and some other trash.

Nice park, great playground equipment, plenty of shade, and access to the lake for feeding the ducks and geese. The only problem is finding somewhere to park. We parked in the back parking lot of Chidos. Didnt find an official entrance or parking lot.

Nice play ground for small kids,lake is nice

Too many ducks and not enough space for people. Something needs to be done and there is duck feces all over the paths and you have to constantly walk in it just to be able to walk. Please do something about the ducks there are way too many for 1 lake. The ducks are very defensive and they hiss and run towards you as if to attack. The mallard ducks are getting out of hand please do something quick

Great park, fun place for fireworks!

Laurel lakes 4th was Saturday the seventh. People all over the lawn and hill with their blankets chairs and coolers. Oracle Band on the stage all afternoon and people dancing in the grass. Then the longest and most spectacular fireworks show right in front of you.

Its ok,not as good as it use to be but nice.
