We were fortunate enough to get a tour from Ann and catch the Health in Laurel exhibit before its gone at the end of the year. One of the best parts of the museum is the kids area in the lower level. My son will be 3 in March and he loved reading some of the books, exploring the kitchen area, & playing with the train. Next year, he will really be at the perfect age to explore more of the historically accurate toys they have. This museum is just a few miles from our house and Im really looking forward to next years exhibit showcasing Laurels 150th year!

Small museum, so not a whole lot to see, but very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Its worth going just to hear all of the fascinating little stories about the town.

Very nice interpretive center with exhibits, knowledgable and friendly staff. On street parking. Walk down past the municipal pool to see the dam for the old cotton mill. For a mill, go about 2 miles north on route for Savage Mill on the left.
