We stopped by on our way to the Grand Canyon, and knew we needed to at least get a picture! We took our photos and proceeded back to the van, when we saw a stunning Lamborghini pull into the parking lot. The driver was gracious enough to allow us to sit in it, how cool!! This is the beginning of a wonderful honeymoon!!
We arrived and got in line expecting to wait 30 – 45 minutes before we would take a few selfies in front of the sign. Someone with a professional DLSR camera offered to take us to the front of the line, take our pictures, and send them directly to my phone. He said he works for tips. I gave him $20 and got a lot better pictures than our selfie stick would have taken. Well worth the money
Even with pandemic, Casinos are busy..must wear face masks at all times...main street casino drive, middle towards down town alot of road work, lanes down to one..Good luck finding restrooms.!! Is all I gotta say.I feel for us seniors citizens.Only some gas stations would let you relief ..
Area is clean, if you go early there won’t be a long wait. If you decide to go back at night there might be a fairly long line. This is obviously a must see when coming to Vegas. There is free parking which was as plus. There might be a local trying to take your picture for you, if you use him/her, bring $1/$2 to tip them.
I thought it was just a little sign that you had to pull off the side of the road to see however it is now a tourist site where theres parking handicap parking which for me if needed. You stand in line social justice theme with the mask and you going to take your picture. Theres a man standing there that you know that you take your picture and then when youre done he calls up the next person. You can take as many photos as you like. It was a really hot day that day, but no humidity so it didnt feel very hot. I loved it because I finally got a picture of that sign. Im a huge Rat Pack fan and I had to have a picture of that sign. Marvelous!
Great first pic to start your trip off right! It was was built way back in 1959 when Vegas first started & has been a landmark ever since! Usually a photographer is out there to take your picture! Just tip them! Big Smiles! Good Luck! Go take the pic! It’s quick & worth the 15 minutes & one for the photo album:)
Bucket List ... We waited in line for about 15 minutes. There was a professional photographer who was helping everyone take photos. He used my phone. He took about 6 photos and only one had my eyes open. Im fine with that cause one is all I need but be sure to check your photos before you walk away especially if you are doing multiple poses or have a big group of people.
First time going to Las Vegas and it was mind blowing so many colorful lights and buildings, got to see amazing architecture and experience new things. Although I wouldnt really recommend Las Vegas to be a place for young kids because it is known for gambling, sexual attractions and alcohol so please be aware of that for anyone who plans on going.
This is such a great instagram spot! The sign is darling and they have a safe little Parking lot. There is a long line for the sign but you can just go over to the side out of the way and get a quick side shot. Highly recommend!
There was a small line, but it went fast. Honestly, its something Ive always skipped during my visits, but if you need to then why not stop by? There is free parking and its clean and fun. I guess if you really need to be a super tourist then go and enjoy
@cooknflyA must visit spot in Las Vegas, quite famous and is quite hard to miss when you leave Las Vegas because is in the middle of the road and they even have parking spots so everything is meant to make the visit quick nice and easy.If you go during busy hours there is a big queue but otherwise is quite empty, we spend around 10 minutes, we took our photos and left. There is always people around so if you come alone, you will always have someone to ask to take a photo for you!Overall : 10/10For more content, checkout @cooknfly on Instagram.Stay safe.
Its a iconic sign. A staple of Las Vegas so people take their pictures there. Parking right next to sign. I can get packed. And lines do form.
Iconic and photo opp worthy though parking is limited and tight to get in and out of. The Las Vegas sign is one of those rites of passage as a tourist to the town and you can do some great people watching while you are waiting for your perfect opportunity. There is a wedding chapel across the street and on the day I visited there was a lovely couple in full wedding regalia marching over to get their photos taken. A few blocks down from that was a private landing strip for the high rollers with private jets to gain quick and discreet access to their amenities at Mandalay Bay across the street. Its a family friendly stop for a famous and iconic sign that can serve as the cover photo for your Vegas family vacation. It truly is fabulous.
Probably not as big as you remembered if you visited when you were younger or big as you expected if its your first visit but it is a great photo op with an iconic sign. There are usually independent photographers that take photos of you for free as long as you tip them in cash. They provide extra lighting and are usually friendly not pushy
We stayed at Mandalay Bay resort and decided to get here by walk. Oh, it was 45 degrees, but worth it! Classic, must visit place in Las Vegas. There is a guy, who help people for free to take photos. But, you can tip him as well, because he is doing a great job!)We have a challenge #главноесмотретьводномнаправлении (you can see our other photos on Instagram)! Check it out!)
My boyfriend and I took some badass pictures, there was no lines at all so it was easy access to take as many pictures as wed like! The photographer that was there works on tips and was super helpful and fun with taking our pictures. Make sure you tip them well!!
Fun place to stop for first time visitors. Great photo op. Sometimes there is a bit of a line but it goes quickly.
Easy access to the sign, however, the line can get long, but it moves sorta fast. Depending on How long people take to take their pixs.
Got married here! Talk about some outstanding wedding pix! The neon chapel performed the ceremony and all of it was a dream come true
We were visiting Vegas for my sisters 60th birthday. It was fun. I could take it or leave it. My first time. I love the beach more.
Great photo OP! Especially if you can get curly fat elvis on the rascal in your photo with you!
Pretty cool, there are even people there to help you take photos then they send them to your phone, its easier if you have an iphone.
Ive reviewed the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign a number of times either on the LV Plug blog or on the LV Plug Google Local Guide account. If youre a tourist, this is one of the places you need to visit while youre in Las Vegas. This is where everyone takes the Las Vegas sign picture. Theres no bad time to take a picture here unless its 115 degrees outside, but even then youll still get a great selfie out of it even if youre dripping in a little sweat.LV Plug ScorePrice: Quality: Location: Total: 9/9 Welcome to Las Vegas Sign gets the LV Plug Approval If youre going to visit this sign, wear something nice. If you post a picture on Facebook, you will easily get 10 likes and all the clout you could ever dream of.
There was a guy there asking people if they wanted to take a picture, trying to make a couple of bucks. He was very nice about it and not so aggressive if they dont have cash to tip. Always bring your tripod!
Pretty cool and I got some cool pics in the sunset. We didnt feel like waiting in line to take pics and have everyone stare at us lol
It was a great idea to make this iconic sign a place for taking photos. Love it.
Hellllooooo!!!! This is the Las Vegas sign!! If you have never been to Vegas, you must make this a stop. It is the most iconic sign in the entire Valley.
If the weather is nice you will have a nice photograph. This place is basically the staple to tell the world that you had been to vegas. There is always a queue of people to take pictures. The parking is available within the premises.
Classical Las Vegas sign. If you are in Vegas, this is a must see location. It is not near the main casinos, so you have to take a bus (8 dollars for unlimited 24 hours rides) or go by car (there is a dedicated parking spot). In there, there is usually a line to take a photo at the best location, but you can also take a photo by the side if you dont want to wait. On the other side of the street were some private jets from an airport, but I dont know if they are always there.
We stopped here on our way to a tour of the Grand Canyon. We were so lucky to be in a small group and actually on our way early so when we got to the sign it was a very rare occasion but there was no one else there! We got the best pics. Super cool part of vegas history, absolutely iconic.
Be prepared for lots of people, long line and the heat (if you want to get the pictures during the daytime). Even though it’s one of the landmarks of Las Vegas, but if you don’t have enough time to get to the sign, it’s actually fine as well. Recommendation: avoid the long line and take pictures at the alternative angle. Stay on the left or right side of the sign, you’ll get great pictures as well!
It is a lot smaller than I expected. You know when they say never meet your heroes? This is one of those times. If you just have to have your picture with the sign go for it especially now as it is not as crowded as it usually is, but if you love the mystique of it and dont need the picture, save it as a fond fantasy.
Great time, a lady took our picture with a light from our cell phones. She didnt ask for any money but I gave her a tip.
Always a bunch to do and see definitely want to spend a few days to see some of the main attractions.
Stopa d take a photo or 10 lol, the photographers were great fun and good at capturing all of the moments
I’ve had some epic girlfriends’ getaways there and even rang in the New Year in the City of Lights. Every trip has made me more in love with this crazy, non-stop destination. Ready to have some crazy adventures yourself?A trip to Las Vegas is one of those quintessential American experiences. From the bright lights of the Strip to the world-class museums, this little Nevada city is everything you’d expect it to be and so much more.
I can’t even lie and tell y’all I was at the least impressed. Now don’t lie, when y’all have seen this sign on tv didn’t you believe it was much much bigger. We I literally road pass this sign on our bus tour and it was the shortest sign ever. I mean I was expecting a little more, but apparently people love to take pictures standing with it. I passed!
The sign, itself is pretty cool. Its famous and iconic. I feel like its kinda neat to get your picture taken with a piece of history.I gave this attraction 1 star though because of the rude interaction I had with the attendant that was there. Apparently this guy is employed by the city to be there to assist with picture taking. He mustve been on a break when we got in line (which is fine). He showed up when there was about 2 groups in front of us. He walked on the edge of the line, introducing himself (didnt catch his name), and boasting to everyone that its his job to help tourists get a great picture. He talked about taking pics at certain angles and such. So Im thinking, GREAT! He can get a picture of me! This was great since I was with a male friend and we all know how great of a photographer they can be. LOL! ANYWAYS... It was our turn to get pics. I was waiting on the attendant, because I figured it was his job to help us with pics. He started being really rude and telling me to use my words and tell him the magic word. I thought this was a little rude, with the tone he used. But I brushed it off. Then, he told my friend and I to get together. We told him we were not getting a picture together. We wanted individual pics. He looked at me and proceeded to say its my way or the highway. I thought he was joking. And proceeded to hand him the camera. Again, in a more sarcastic and rude tone, he said you do it my way or no pictures. And he literally walked off. Mind you, this encounter was all in front of about 50 people who were not only waiting to get a picture, but watching the entire encounter. I did nothing to deserve such a rude encounter and it left a really bad impression of the whole experience. This is our 3rd day in Vegas and it was our first bad or rude experience. Please beware if you are going to exchange conversation with this gentleman. Hes not very kind.
If you visit Vegas, you gotta get a picture by the sign. There is a small parking lot where you can pull in for free and get the picture you are there to take. Good luck in Vegas!
Avoid at all costs. The sign itself is fine, but the City... Oh boy. Its bad.
The worker talking photos (I forgot his name) was awesome! Even in 115 degree heat, he was professional and very customer friendly. He is a perfect representation to visitors of Vegas!
Amazing. There was a guy that helped guide us to make sure everybody was social distancing and standing in the proper line. Also, he helps to take pictures. Awesome! Awesome! Nationwide.com
There is a guy who takes your picture with your camera, for tips! He is really good! I think every first time Vegas vistor neeslds this picture!!
I had A-blast Mean my friends is dancing and everybody join them that came to see the Las Vegas sign it was the world of fun
Love History come alive! Waited in line for pictures but other vacationers were courteous!
A right of passage when you are in Vegas! There is a line before you get to take a close photo. Neat and orderly. If you dont want to line up, then take a photo with people as your background, still not bad. There is a space for parking. Easy to find. Awesome location. A must for tourists.
Long line for some guy to take your picture. Just take your own and leave! :)
In the end, its just a sign at the end of the strip, but once youre in Las Vegas, youll have to go there and take a selfie, of course. The best way to get there is by bus. And you should avoid rush times as people line up for their pictures. Of course you do not have to pay.
Nice place for photos and there are people who offer to take photos for free but you can leave a donation they take them incredible I recommend it
Well, its a sign that says welcome to Las Vegas. Parking isnt too bad. Just dont go when theres a wedding party there.
Great location and a souvenir kinda place for clicking pictures of this extravagant location board. There’s a huge crowd everyday throughout. There’s no parking place here. The shuttle bus drops you at a specified station near the entrance.Be ready to wait in long queues due to heavy rush. The entry is free of cost. There’s a person standing always who can click your awesome family pictures together thankfully. In the evening this place looks great due to lights.
Was so happy to get the opportunity to visit this iconic place. Next time Ill ensure to go during daytime.
Packed busy with people but theres a line to have your photo taken. You can just go up and take your own
Pretty busy spot, slightly difficult to park, but worth the effort to get a classic picture.TIP - you dont have to stand in line, go to the side and get a side shot. Even better, go behind it and get a picture from the other side
We decided to stop here on our road trip from Los Angeles to Jackson hole. We took a couple pictures and did a couple tik toks. It was truly an amazing place. Though it can get hot, it is worth it. Especially if your going on a road trip because it is a quick and easy place to stop!
Iconic place to visit and take photos beware that people will try to take photos for you for a fee but it is 100% free. Best time to go is at night! No lines at all.
Nice to stop and take a picture but there was quite a line by time I got there my phone was overheated and couldnt get a pic. Be prepared when you get there
Vegas is nice but the legalized marijuana use is getting old when we smell it every where we go. People lighting up in small spaces where you cant get away from them.
Great place. The man volunteering was nice. He takes pictures for you. We gave him a tip for his time. I would recommend going to see it.
Be prepared to wait in line for a pic in front of the sign. Or u can take a pic from the sides with no wait. Theres parking but it gets crowded.
Cool spot theres even someone there to help u take a pic he even sanitized his hands lol
We really enjoyed the visit because we saw things there that we wouldnt see anywhere else.
You will find a big line to take a picture there. If going during night, make sure you have an extra light, otherwise you wont be visible. There could be a lady there with an extra flash light that will offer you to take a very quality picture with your cellphone (you might want to tip her for that)
The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Vegas. Situated right next to the airport on the south end of the strip, it is open all day and night. There is a small parking lot right next to the sign for tourists. However, it might be difficult to find a spot when it is crowded. There usually is an hour long line in front to take pictures right under the sign, but feel free to go to the sides and have your pictures taken there. Just make sure to not completely block other people! My family and I went on our last day right before heading to the airport. It is definitely a must see in Vegas!
Taking pictures under the lasVegas sign is always fun and essential to your social media :)
I loved that there was parking right there. There was a line but it went pretty quickly!
Popular place for wedding photos, as well as tourist photos. Theres astroturf under the sign, which is nice, but its very noisy due to surrounding traffic.
Its a sign. Not a really big one. There will be a group just ahead of you that wants 2,000 pictures despite a long line and 3,000 degree temperatures. It has its own parking lot and a photographer (likely unofficial) that will take pictures for you with the same hands that have touched countless phones already, so maybe just take your own.
Fun times....Ive lived in Las Vegas for over 50 years and never had my photo taken at the Welcome sign. Had a 25 minute wait in line. Just enough time to people watch. Its iconic old Vegas!!!!
Awesome Tourist Spot to take pictures. Beware of the guys hustling to “take your pictures” Lines can be long at times.
Pretty cool! Right across from the LV HD dealership that is definitely worth a visit.
Strangers all helpful in taking photos. Cute spot. Loved it. Not a long line when I went so super happy about that
It was cool because eventhough you stand on the line to wait your turn its pretty fast.
We walked a mile down the strip to see the sign and it was so much better than I expected! While I did read quite a few reviews complaining about having to wait in line for a photo with the sign, once we were there I could appreciate the reason why. With one photographer basically volunteering, he kept everyone in a line, music playing from his portable speaker and giving out poses to take from his, microphone headset. He worked for free and accepted tips which I thought was very smart! By having him there to take multiple photos, you get a photo of your party alone with the iconic sign! Something unheard of when it comes to other US landmarks!
The sign is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Still an iconic place to visit.
One of the most recognizable locations in the world
Good place to get photos, but the line can be long and theres not much shade available
World famous Las Vegas sign. Usually a line of people waiting to take pictures. I did not want to wait so I just took pictures from the side and cropped the picture to cut out extra people. Very cute and iconic sign. Viva Las Vegas!
One of the most touristy spot to do in Vegas is to of course get your picture taken at the Vegas sign! Although if you get there after 10am starting on a Friday you will see a long line but it moves pretty fast. Its so nice that everyone is considerate to not crowd the sign so you or your group can get a shot without back ground people doing the same. There is typically a person there willing to take your pics for you and it is nice to give them a tip so that you can have your entire group in the shot at one time. But I would still come and get my pics taken anytime I come whether its the group or not
Not long wait, and people are staying in lines with 6ft distance. Great and historical
