Ive always enjoyed the Strat Hotel and more importantly so has the family. Its actually a very friendly place to take the kids and they will be able to see and experience Vegas at a birds eye view. The rooms were clean and safe which is always a plus in Vegas. Lots of good places to eat and they seem to have some good shows every time we visit. Price point is better than most although you are at the end of the strip so theres going to be lots of walking. They have reasonable priced tables to play at and there is always room to play. Its a good price point when you have kids.
Stayed one night here on our trip to AZ. The place was very nice, very clean, and following all Covid 19 rules to a T. Ate at the cafe and the food was quite good and of very good quality. The wait staff was superb and made us feel like we were kings of the place(even moved the college football to a monitor that was easier for us to see) The room was clean with very few amenities. Bed was comfortable and sound sleep was easily had. Overall a very good experience and would have rated it five stars probably with a little more expensive room.
I lived here for a week. They have a casino at the entrance. The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday. The common pool is nice.Due to covid or whatever reason the adult pool and the buffet was closed. There are many fun things you can do inside. There are many restaurants inside. There is also Starbucks.
Definitely well-priced compared to the casinos on the strip. But a bit dirtier in general. I tried their rooms twice before. Once was really good (upgraded to a newly renovated section).Second time, it smelled heavily like cigarettes (it was in the non smoking section). So hit & miss..Their food court is below average. The only part that I really like about this hotel/ casino is their top of the world restaurant & the lounge. Amazing views, highly recommended especially around sunset time
All of the staff including the maintenance people are super friendly. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and offers every amenity that you would ever need (at hotel costs). If you require something cheaper theres a 7-Eleven and a circle k within walking distance as well as a corner store. Be warned that the area is not the best, but that comes with Vegas, so be mindful at night.
Positive: long check in line Negative: long check in line
First time visiting! Went up to the Observation Deck. Just a site to see everything from that vantage point. A little disappointed that the lounge didnt stay open late but we are still in a pandemic. I, personally, wouldnt go on the rides but I can see the adrenaline junkies getting a rush. If I visit Las Vegas again, Id come back here.
Positive: Everything was awesome. Negative: No, everything was great.
The bed are uncomfortable, my back is killing me. They remodel the hotel front lobby and staff is very nice. In they have a creative ideas and will to address your concerns. They also celebrate Halloween. I enjoy that the most. Velvet parking is free and velvet personal are caring and respectful at all times. Worth the tips.
I really like this property, they have done so much work to make it shiny, it almost feels brand new, the casino floor has been refreshed, a lot of work to remodel all the rooms but well worth the wait, when you arrive request an elevate room, the lighting is fantastic and the Television is nice and big. I really like everything here, 10 years ago this was a different story, now this property is Quite Fun. Due to the COVID a few restaurants closed I miss the Mexican food restaurant,, the staff is really great
I have enjoyed my 3 stays there. Prices are good. I played poker at another casino, but the Stratosphere (I still call it that) had better room rates, fine restaurants, and a fun atmosphere. Theyve since added a sports book. Lots of nice entertainment, too. Family-friendly. Highly recommend... :)
Positive: Price Negative: lcall for room service never came or call or nothing
Negative: I booked a smoking room and got a non smoking room
It was beautiful. Me and my daughter went there for the view and to ride the Big Shot. The only thing that blew my mind was how expensive it was to just go up and sit in the area where you can see the view of Las Vegas. Youre not riding anything just sitting there and it makes it impossible for a whole family to go up. Only two of us were able to go up because its way overpriced. The prices definitely need to be fixed
Good hotel. Good variety of games. I wouldnt walk around the neighborhood again but inside everything is nice.
Positive: Havenâ€t gone yet Negative: Havenâ€t gone yet
I had fun looking at all the cool sites for my window I thought it was really neat I wish the Vegas sign light was lit up but I had fun there everything was close by
Positive: Observation deck Negative: i seen a roach in my bathroom
Positive: Really enjoyed my stay Negative: No
Positive: Everything in one location and close to the strip and other intertainment Negative: No
Was really looking forward to eating here for my 30th. I was very disappointed with the food and service. They would not accommodate my wifes choices of taking meat out of her food so she could only get side dishes. I got the four course menu and only 1 of the courses actually tasted good out of the 4. For 108 dollars they should all taste better.
Love the tower restaurant, lounge and views but is slightly upscale so pricey but well worth it....If you drink at lounge admission to observation deck it free. Rides are awesome......Skyjump platform looks terrifying, but great for adrenalin loving folks.
The stay was ok. We initially booked an Elevate King room, but since we wanted to do an early check in we settled for a standard 2 queen bed room. The comforter on one of the beds was dingy with a dirt spot in the middle. Housekeeping does not tidy up the roomAt all and only comes after you leave. Now the website does state that due to covid that housekeeping would not be available as they normally would. However, we were there 4 days and 3 nights so I feel like at least one day we could’ve received a tidying up in the room new towels, ect. The PT’s bar has good food and I loved my drink. The strat cafe has very large portions that you can share between 2-3 people so that’s good as well. They do not have microwaves so be mindful of what you order as it’s pointless to take back to the room unless you have no problem eating cold food. There is a Walgreens, and liquor store, dispensary and gift shop all within walking distance. Oh and the pool closes super early at 6pm which is superEarly but again I guess it’s due to Covid. Last but not least you are at the very end of the strip so you’ll have to either drive or the an Uber to all the action. Overall I would not stay here again, but it’s ok for a First timer to Vegas.
Really like this type of hotel. Very recommended for any people that want to pass a good days in family, or with friends for a good party. The views in the restaurant is literally impossible to forget the views, because when you eat once, you need to eat every day here ;)And have a good swimming pool and height game attraction. We go with our family, but ipf this year can come again, i really like itThankss you very much for your services and keep going.
Not a bad place to stay and relax at.They could definitely step up their game when it comes to cleaning up the hallways. Multiple times that I came back to my room, there was stuff all over the hallways, such as sheets, trash, etc.The rooms were nice and accommodating. The casino was clean, look good, and smelled good. I like it they had some hand sanitizers on the gaming tables, and the dealers and staff were always very nice.Ill definitely be staying here again!
Positive: Location Negative: Hallway carpet needs cleaning
Positive: I was with friends Negative: Everything
You want and adrenaline filled afternoon stop here. The tower is 1000 ft tall with 108 floors its crazy the views are great you can see the whole city and beyond. Dont forget the rides the umbrella coaster that drops you off the edge nearly. Another one that hangs you off the side and spins you to face the ground. One that shoots you straight up
Positive: Was no coffee maker Negative: No coffee maker
Positive: Nice casino Negative: Very cheap rooms. Sink clogged No blankets just a sheet
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEYI hosted a dinner with 45 guests here. The bill was close to $7k and it was HORRIBLE! The service from door to door was terrible in all aspects of the hotel, casino, restaurant. Valet was rude and slow- after waiting over 15 minutes to receive service I was told Id have to wait even longer. I explained we were in a dinner party and needed to get to our destination- he did not care at all. The line to get to dinner took 35 minutes. Getting through security was extra- like metal detectors REALLY. We were promised wrist bands to explore the activities- what a joke! The elevators kept that from being a possibility! It took 45 minutes to get from one floor to the next.I spent $1500 on the same group for brunch at HONEY SALT. IT WAS AMAZING!
It was one of the single best experiences of my life. Joey was amazing, the food was fabulous, and the view was heavenly!
Positive: Price and clean room Negative: No
Avoid, avoid, avoid. You would think itd be easier to have better service when youre at a much lower staying capacity. It has not even been 24hrs and all the employees but one we ve come across have been terrible. The front desk was not informative at check in and has now led to further problems regarding our stay and credits. Watch out for the Helicopter vendors because the employee was extremely rude and tried to hassle us into the ride by calling us rude for declining the offer. Unbelievable.
Positive: Everything Negative: the room smelling like cigarettes
For the price, I give it 4 stars. It was clean, contemporary, and a nice size bathtub. The Strat Hotel has changed quite a few restaurants, but the new ones are a welcome addition. On a side note: Due to covid, many restaurants are closed. I had no other choice but to buy lunch at McDonalds due to time. And it was good! Yes, I said it was good!
Beware of the standard room! I needed a place to stay on my way out to California, and chose The Strat because I had stayed before, and remembered the rooms being decent. I asked for a standard room and was given the offer to upgrade to something recently renovated, but I declined because I thought it was just a sales pitch. I was very wrong. The room I was given looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or updated since the early 1990s. The sheets and pillowcases were pilling, and I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on them. Most furniture and appliances (ex:toilet and bathtub) need to be completely replaced.I am sure there are some really nice rooms here as some other reviews say, but my review is only based on my personal experience. If you are looking for a room that feels and looks clean, I would make sure to ask the right questions when checking in.
Positive: Everything is great Negative: No
Positive: It was clean Negative: Far from the strip
Never again. Waited honestly forever to even get on the elevator. When I arrived my table was still behind for time. I was told to go up to the lounge which would have been great aside of there were no sanitized clean tables and rude waitresses to assist us. Dress to impress was laughable. Finally recieved a table and not by the window after months of reservations. After glancing around at the plates we decided to leave. Beautiful view but no communication or customer service. We left and went to Yardbird it was everything and then some. Do yourself a favor and admire this hotel and restaurant from a far!
Great hotel especially with the sky view. Its closer to old town Vegas which is a better spot than the strip in my opinion.Must see the Freemont experience if visiting there.
Positive: Price and location is the best
Great trip thanks to Stratosphere Casino, the price was a great deal 3days for about #200.00-2queen beds in Select Tower.VERY CLEAN, SANITIZED and kept clean... I saw them cleaning/sanitizing regularly throughout my stay. Personnel/customer service AWESOME!! Everyone was readily and happily there for any concerns. I absolutely loved my stay, as well as my son and 2 grand daughters. Price/Ambiance/Decor and Personnel all welcoming and worth the stay. I look forward to returning. Thank you Stratosphere. Oops almost forgot the pool is BEAUTIFUL/RELAXING and COMFY WITH GREAT MUSIC!! GOD BLESS ️
Positive: There tower Negative: Old room
Positive: I did not enjoy this stay Negative: I did not appreciate how me and my daughter we treated..
Remodeling was very nice. Always a pleasure to visit there. Comedy club is in a great location.
Older hotel but looking great with the recent renovations. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with a nice view. Great Casino with plenty of options. FREE Valet & FREE Self Parking! (Cannot beat that in Vegas!) The Tower provides a great view. Customer service was excellent throughout our stay!
Positive: Cleaness of the room
Always love my stays here cool rooms, easy check out and check in. Machines not letting that money go anymore lol but during Corona Virus pandemic I understand.
We had an amazing time the view is just incredible I cant even describe it. All my family has scared todo the rides but they are definitely worth it I did them on my own and had a blast. The view from inside and outside is great but when you hop on the drop and the arm ride is just breath taking amazing! I recommend it to everyone even those who are scared of heights you can still enjoy the view from their indoor deck.
My Wife & I Decided To Lodge @ The Strat For Her Birthday. After A Short Flight We Arrived In Las Vegas. Cab Fare From The Airport To The Strat Was $27. Checking In To Our Room Was A Breeze.
Positive: Netflix Negative: Never anything other the McDonalds and the the Cafe open to eat...
My experience was good. I recommend it, it is not very expensive.improvisation at the last minute
Had dinner at Top Of The World restaurant. Great view and you can also go up to the observation deck after dinner. Dinner at 106 stories up. As part of having dinner, access to the tower and observation deck is free as well. Makes for a nice evening. Restaurant revolves as well.
Cant say anything because I havent been here since the early 90s but it was fun as a kid and probably still is I know this technology is old but it still works far as their fan and duct system newer technology has the fan sucking from the top this one is right below your net
Positive: Stores on second floor Negative: Rooftop pool was closed
You can see most of Las Vegas from the rotating lounge, dinner was awesome, service was great, ambient and romantic for couples dinner.
Great views, service, and views. Went for my birthday
Positive: It was in a common area Negative: Yes the guests smoking on the non smoking floors.
In 1994, crews erected a crane – taller than the earlier one – that would allow them to continue work on the rising tower. The 75-ton crane stood 400 feet tall and was installed over the course of four days. Removal of the crane began in October 1995, with the use of a second crane. The dismantling of the crane was one of the most significant challenges for the people working on the tower. The unique design of the tower pod and its limit space required construction crews to carefully plan the installation of the second crane, which weighed 30 tons. The second crane would lower pieces of the original crane to the ground, and would then be used to lift a seven-ton derrick into place, allowing workers to carry down sections of the second crane. The derrick would then be disassembled by hand, and workers would use a construction elevator to bring down the pieces. The complex and risky process was expected to take nearly two months.Years before the Stratospheres opening, a three-block neighborhood of houses in Meadows Village was demolished to help make room for the resorts 4,500-space parking garage. In 1994, officials from the Stratosphere project – located north of the Aztec Inn motel-casino – entered an agreement with the citys Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency to have the Aztec Inns parking lot condemned through eminent domain and turned over to the Stratosphere. The agreement was opposed by the Aztec Inn, and in 1995 was ruled by a judge to be unconstitutional.
Positive: People, location Negative: Homeless people, bums asking for money inside hotel lobby
Looks much nicer after remodelling. Also there is a cool lighted welcome to Vegas arch on the Blvd right next to Stratosphere.
When we got off the elevator on the 9th floor and walked four rooms down to ours the marijuana smoke was thick. Our sink faucet also leaked getting everything on the back of the sink wet. They have been fairly quick to address our concerns.
If you dont upgrade your room, be prepared to be grossed out. I ended up upgrading and was still grossed out. The toilet seat had splatter on it (use your imagination), there was trash behind the curtain. The carpeting was so dirty and obviously hadnt been vacuumed. The staff is less than helpful and there was no concierge in sight for the 5 days I was there!
Newly renovated and reinvented, the Strat is everything you want in a Las Vegas Strip hotel & casino at rates that wont bankrupt you. The pool and view are breathtaking! but watch out for a $35/resort fee they have yet to earn...
Positive: The view Negative: N/a
Absolutey Perfect! I rode on the rides just in time before COVID-19, the hotel was really nice i might come here later.
Advertised a $30 deal on Groupon and then charged a $40 resort fee. Their amenities and service were lower than most motels or 2 star hotels. For example no microwave or cofee/tea in rooms. No room service due to Covid, no breakfast etc.
The Top of the World Bar and view is excellent. The Casino was very quickly on service with drinks. The standard room I felt was subpar for a Vegas hotel, it had no refrigerator and no view, I upgraded to a better room to have both, which it them felt like you were in Las Vegas. The Strat is also located at the beginning of the strip which makes walking to it a chore, driving to the middle of the strip and parking is recommended.
It was very cool going to the top. Rooms were par for the place. Stayed in a basic room. Pool was nice. The heat was bad and walking to the pool it heats up the feet. I would recommend some water shoes if possible. Would stay here again.
Small casino... cool place to chill ... due to covid .. most shops and lounge are closed .. employees are nice
Positive: One of the best times of my life
Great place, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I would rate that a 1. We switched rooms because the first one smelt like smoke as we had a non smoking room and the dresser had sticky stuff on it. They switched us and the second room was better as it didnt smell like smoke but again it was like nobody wiped down the dressers and there was open soap still in the bathroom. I didnt feel like switching again so we cleaned it ourselves.Other than the room the rest of the stay was great.
Celebrating my Wifes 52 Birthday on Friday November 13th 2020
Once you enter the hotel lobby, you’ll think that the rooms will be nice. No, the rooms are about the same quality as Days Inn. When I tried plugging my charger into the port, it fell straight off. I did not even get to charge my phone and other essential electronics. There was a wet towel in the bathroom when we entered. Some of the lights did not even work.
Positive: Nothing the hotel was horrible my TV was not walking for three days. Negative: The hotel was horrible
Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, My entourage and I were unable to enjoy our vacation at this hotel because the website that I book our stay through said pets are permitted. Only to be told my service dog could not stay with me in my hotel room. Three weeks later and I still havent received a refund, that I was told (by hotel reception) would be reversed back to my card. Like I said Very friendly staff. If I didnt need my companion dog I would have stayed.
Positive: It is conveniently located by the strip Negative: Bed sheet and towel cleanliness was terrible
Positive: It was clean. Negative: The view was horrible and the hotel was not on the strip. It was a 10 minute drive from the strip which made it a 70 minute walk.
Very misleading. The pictures show nice rooms. The room we stayed in reminded me of 70s decor. Our A/C worked only on fan so it was hot and we couldnt sleep. But to each their own.
We absolutely love our vacations in Las Vegas and we stay at the Stratosphere 99% of the time (thankful for family in the area the other 1%). Our host Donna at the STRAT, is the most accommodating, kind, generous person we have had the pleasure of meeting early on in our Vegas adventures! Rooms with spectacular views, cleaning services are consistent and staff are dedicated to their work. We appreciate a “small town” welcoming in a place that people can easily be forgotten. Thank you STRAT for such wonderful memories and many many more adventures in the future!️
I have been charged twice and have been transferred to an answering machine for three weeks. Im a proud retired army veteran and was told I was being charged $29, which was fine. Upon arrival they changed me again stating no one had the authority to offer the discount. As of today, I still have two charges on my credit card. Yesterday was Veterans Day, I was grateful and proud to have served my country. Today, Im still getting no cooperation, just another answering machine. I really want to cry, its frustrating to be treated so low. I want everyone to at least be aware that if you have issue with this casino, please resolve before leaving because its been three weeks and everyone transferred me to a voicemail.
Positive: It was very nice. Negative: Staff!!! Terrible!!
The hotel was nice with the new updates. The food wasnt too great at the cafe nor the PT sports. We did enjoy the observation Deck though we didnt do much up there other than the Jump. At first we checked in and the room wasnt what we saw on the pictures plus there looked like someone was in the room previously, however when we went to the front desk they upgraded us for a small fee vs. What the room would have cost as full price. The hotel is quite far from the strip so unfortunately we had to do a lot of Ubers as a full day of Walking we were tired at the end.Over all the hotel was nice for the price we paid, but next time well get a hotel closer to the stop so we have less Ubers.
Had an amazing time at this hotel !! Very friendly staff that was accommodating. We did the sky jump off the Strat ! That was a total blast and very exciting and fun. We will definitely be coming back to the Strat .
Nice hotel friendly staff good customer service. They also have a unique site to see in thier self parking garage. 100s of Thousands of shoe prints up by the ceiling. Seriously maybe 500,000 shoe prints or more all different!!! Who how when? Heres a pic and baffle yourself as to how they got there.
I enjoyed my stay. I really like how hotel took measures with the covid virus. The janitorial staff Ive seen spraying down lounge chairs disinfecting and clean around the clock.
The food was amazing, the service great. The view is inspiring.
A one of a kind experience! Spectacular view from the outside deck at night.
This hotel in Las Vegas is okay. The restaurant uptop in the Strat is nice, with a great view of Vegas and the restuarant floor spins around so you can see Vegas in I hr 20 mins seating at dinner its a really nice experience. This hotel have a Casino downstairs that really nice not to big. This Hotel offer bungee jumping and rides on the very top of the Hotel, good luck with that I couldnt bring myself to even looking down from the top roof.
Love the view here. Clean casino. Lots to do here (eat, sleep, play, shop, entertainment).
Totally worth the money just to go up and look at the city! Loved it! Next time Im in Vegas Im gonna do the rides!
Had a blast @ pool clean good old fashion fun thanks strat hotel & Casino
I am, from Cleveland, OHIO, and my very first trip and, visit to las, Vegas NV, and my first time at the stratosphere hotel casino and I enjoyed myself and I would go again to the stratosphere hotel & casino, and would highly recommend this to my friends and family
Good overall hotel. The proximity to other places is something that cant be used against the hotel. A simple bus ride down the strip was easy to deal with. No fan in bathroom. Beds were good, and no mini fridge. Other than that a solid inexpensive hotel for any trip
Positive: The staff very friendly. Negative: Next to a bad area.
