The park is located in a nice quiet community. We used the tennis courts and had a good time. All six courts were in great shape and well maintained.
Nice Trail for walking, running, strollers, for bikes. Its pretty inhospitable during the summer months, but a popular place in the winter months. If you are looking for a challenge there is Trail access on the Northwest side of the mountain, and it is about four tenths of a mile to the top where you can get a great View of the city. Its pretty steep and requires a little bit of light climbing. Again, not really recommended in the summer and less you headed up first thing in the morning.
A nice and well maintained park, the hike up the mountain is nice as well. There are trails on the east and west sides of the mountain; the former is more treacherous and fun than the latter.
This park is very nice with a great basketball court and tennis courts. The playground should have more for the kids to do like swings and slides. The grass area is very spacious with lots of hills. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because people Do Not clean up after their dogs. The kids love to play in the grass and unfortunately you have to be very careful to not step in dog poop! The trails are nice and climbing the mountain is great.
It was fun. Theres a path to walk thru to get to another park which I thought was really cool.
Lots of wide open space, perfect for social distancing ...
Hike up this small mountain for citywide views from the northwest side of the city. +500 elevation to summit. 1.2 miles. Fairly steep so wear good hiking shoes/boots are recommended rocks can be slippery to rugged and sharp. Moderate level. Plenty of hikers during the day and a trail that wraps around the base of the mountain. Playgrounds, parking, and stables for horses since its a still a bit rural area of Vegas. Summertime means heat so fall- spring best time to go during cooler tempatures. Fun day hike if your looking for something to do.
Nice, fairly level, gravel walk around the mtn. 2 miles around. Take lots of water if you go when its hot.
Nice pavilions. Not too crowded. Close to Lone Mtn.
6 nice tennis courts and friendly people; pretty park with mountain background!
The park is huge with a couple different play areas, and the view is spectacular!
Excellent place to walk both on sidewalks and on dirt trails around the mountain, and you can hike the mountain for a quick, steep exercise. Equestrian area and kid playgrounds are around the northeast and east sides of the mountain.
I love this park. It has something for everyone. I enjoyed climbing the mountain. Its super fun but I recommend hiking when there is still sun light because it is a bit challenging for first time hikers.
Absolutely love this park! So many things to do and awesome playground for kids that is covered so its not hot and burns your babies.
Beautiful scenery very quiet great place to visit to relax
Great loop trail for some good excercise. However this location is always extremely busy after 7am. The summit also stays busy ! If youre there to practice social distancing and still be out doors, this is not the best area to do so. Great for all skill levels, and fur babies.
This is one of the best places to walk with, or without, pets. It is what you make it...whether you want a comfortable stroll or an intense hike, Lone Mountain has it.
Quite possibly one of the best parks in southern Nevada to bring kids to. Have parties and even hike up the mountain.
Beautiful mountain and awesome vista views at the peaks. The trail can be slippery from loose gravel and rocks. Use hiking poles and wear good traction shoes. Bring your common sense and stay away from the edges.
Quiet, rolling hills, beautiful view of the Vegas Valley. Also can hike up to the mountain next to the park if you wanted.
This is one of the coolest parks Ive been to and Ive been coast to coast. Its huge and you can climb the mountain.
Great short hike. Pretty steep incline but the whole hike up took is maybe 30 mins. 10 to get down. There is also a nice little park in one side and a trail that goes all the way around.
Cool trails that go to a horse park or to lone mountain, which has several trails to climb.
Great work out. Good for hiking it has a 2 or 3 mile trail to walk or bike. Basketball hoops picnic area and kid area.
Lots of space, tables play areas, basketball courts etc.
Love the park its such a nice spot to be in
Very Beautiful Park my husband and family really enjoy. This park location amazing views from our seating area we will definitely be back. For are next Event !
This is an awesome park. Its great for biking. In fact theres one path in between the parks that is perfect for biking. Ive been coming here since Ive been a kid and I still love it. However, none of the water fountains work anymore.
Awesome park to enjoy a nice warm summer day!
Great views if you make it to the top. The trail around the base is a little over 2 miles: 1 mile uphill, 1 mile downhill. Lots of playgrounds for the kids, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc. Tons of free parking as well. Great for running, hiking, picnicking, a lot of stuff to do. Its a great park. People with horses should pick up after them though
Great hiking spot .awesome view at night
The sunsets from here are usually pretty gorgeous! Great mountain views, fields of grass, trail running, basketball courts, tennis courts. Pretty great park!
So many diffrent trails to choose from. Beginner to advanced climber. Great view at the top.
Pleasant hike. I look forward to doing it again
Annual Church outing Memorial Day we had a ball. Lovely park, kids loved the play area.
Cool park, lots of trails for different fitness levels including a hike up a very large mountain. Equestrian area, tennis courts and several bathrooms. Park was very clean despite the amount of people out.
Nice place to walk around
Beutiful place
I like coming up here for nice little walks. There is a trail that goes around the mountain. You can also hike up the mountain for a nice view of the city...day or night.
Nice place, although a lot of people have pets off leash.
Great climb, easy to do. Fantastic view.
If you like walking with great views, this is for you. I love it
Great little playground to take the kids. Not a ton of equipment like some of the other parks in the area, but there are two - one for littles and one for bigger, and a small musical area plus 2 faux rock arches/piles for free play. There are also bocce areas, basketball courts, paved walking paths, and big grass areas for picnics or kicking a ball around, plus great views looking down over Vegas and looking up at the mountains at sunset. There are also bright lights that come on at dusk and ample parking.
Very nice regional park with lots of things to do here from hiking to basketball to horse riding.
One of the best parks in town. Good for basketball, football, and soccer.
Great park. Hiking, BBQ, playgrounds, educational, equestrian, views. Best in Vegas
Great park! Location is perfect and park is busy but not too busy.
Nice shelters clean park
Morning hikes are the best!
Amazing hike up Lone Mountain or a nice loop stroll around the mountain.
One of my favorite hikes in Las Vegas!
Great park never crowded and the best hiking in Vegas.
Great place to take your dog.
Beautiful scenery with a nice walking trail.
The tennis courts are well kit and really clean
Very clean park with beautiful green grass. The park maintenance guy even helped out our older family giving them a trip in the golf cart to our rented pavilion. That is the only problem I saw. The fact that to get to Most of the pavilions it was a long up hill climb. Wich is no problem for me. But for elderly family with leg or knee problems it is a bit of a fearful trek. Better access to rental areas is definitely needed.
Lovely tennis courts
Really nice park its a two piece accompany by a mountain, the basketball hoops need to be fixed, I like the open fields
Take my dog here to walk around lone mountain almost every week. Great view of the city and about a good 45 minute climb
Great park with something for everyone, truly, even equestrian and nearby single teach trail
Visited this park to scout a place for our family gathering on June 1st. Large covered table and BBQ areas. Very nice playground for the little ones. Several bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits and basketball for the grownups. Also vast lawn areas and concreted trails. we look forward to a fun gathering.
Pefect for a walk in the morning. Nice playground for kids.
2 standalone are in dire need of resurfacing
Came in for Latino night at Fiesta buffet. Great food, short line, inexpensive and great staff. Will be back to this local favorite!
Great park. My sons and I ride bikes and play basketball there all the time
What are the lights on the mountain behind the park?
Great place for bbqs. Shade covered cement benches placed directly in front of the playground. Huge lot of gated basketball courts with benches inside. I didnt see a lot of dogs maybe 2. We arrived at 345 left at 630. I did not go into the restroom either.. one of the better parks in Las Vegas!
Big park
Great for hiking biking jogging walking take the kids Drone flying Or just lay in the grass
Really good park for family rest and sporting activities.
Lone mountain is one beautiful place!
This is me and my dads spot when it comes to going out with our RC crawlers.
Took the dog for a really nice long walk
Gorgeous park! Something for everyone.
Amazing views of the whole city looking to the East. Great walking park and you can also enjoy Pokémon Go while walking around!
Great local hike with a great view of the city.
Hiking here is a picture worth a thousand words. The view from the top is breath taking. Wild life is all about. My daughter and I have enjoyed this park and the mountain hike quite a bit.
We went around 10:30 and there werent many people. It was a quick hike, less than 40 minutes on the way up. People also bring their pets, but beware your pet might go crazy for the Chipmunks present. The view was nice at the end of the trail.
It was a quiet walk in the park... And, a hike up a well worn but maintained mountain train. I was in sneakers but Id suggest boots for the hike.
A beautiful park with lots to do
Great place to watch fireworks on the 4th of July.Lots of room to run around and play.
The mountains are beautiful so are the views but itll be the best if there would be drinks and food for sale there
Hot as hell with hot water coming from the fountains other than that the park is cool
Beautiful
Great park, BBQ areas, one large common area,Horse shoe pits, basketball and tennis courts, large grassy areas, the park is adjacent to lone mountain itself with trails leading there.
Great park for the whole family.
Beautiful Park that is mostly shaded with the soft spongy recycled tires underneath all of the play toys. Tennis courts basketball courts sand pit and horseshoe pits here as well as a extremely large grassy area to running plan. Bathrooms are extremely clean. There are charcoal grills and all of the picnic tables are fairly clean. Plenty of parking
I was bicycling near the facilities, and had to rest. Its a great clean place. Picnic areas very well kept. I would recommend this to family and friends, actually anyone thats wants a great place to have fun...
Great park.
Decent park to take your children too. Large playground away from the basketball courts and skate park. Water park nearby for hot days and bathrooms too. 3 dog parks. One small and two for large dogs. Just wish there was some more shade at the small dog park. Lots of parking.
Nice park with open areas field with nice grass and decent play areas for the kids.
This part of the overall Lone Mtn Park area, known as Lone Mountain Regional Park, is on the north end of the park property and is accessed at Lone Mtn Rd, west of Jensen and east of the 215 Beltway. This portion of the park has covered picnic tables, 4 Basketball courts, 6 Tennis courts, Bocce ball and more. A covered playground for the kids and restrooms. There is a paved and lighted meandering park path that links to the central portion of Lone Mtn Park where the Equestrian Center is located. This path connects with the 2.2 mile loop trail around Lone Mtn. This loop trail is Running/Biking/Horse friendly and has a decent elevation change to add extra to your run or bike. Easiest path to hike the Lone Mtn summit is via the trailhead on the NW side for a quick challenge! Short but steep! Find the gold spike at the top. From the loop trail, to the top and back adds about one mile to your trek and about 650 of elevation gain. Flat soled shoes of any kind not recommend for the summit trail, the rocky areas of the trail, especially on descent, are slick so raised grippy soled shoes/hiking boots are best. For the technical climbers there are also a couple Class 2 scrambling routes to the peak on the south and east sides of the mountain.
Beautiful place to climb. Made it to the top
So wide open and great for all ages!
