Nice park. Restroom was clean. Wheelchair path throughout the park. Trails could be marked better. More trash cans would help(we had to carry trash we picked up quite a way). Level terrain, easy walk for all ages/conditions.
Its not for me. I do like some greenery around. But who am I kidding. I am in the middle of Las Vegas. I assumed there would be some amount of green. Well, there was some. This would be a nice ave to visit during early morning hours of at sunset. Would visit again sometime. I have had enough dehydration for a week.
This park has great running trails and plenty of parking. The down side is that it stinks. Like a petting zoo, or a sewer. And the bugs. There are little biting flies and no amount of bug spray will keep them away. There are often families her taking portraits so it can be a bit busy near sunset time.
I got introduced to this park from a friend way back in college. So happy to know this little sanctuary in Vegas. Went for a refreshing morning stroll with my boyfriend. Great place to escape the city, beautiful views of the Vegas skyline though. Trails are paved well too. Good place to bring kids and there are public restrooms available as well. Definitely should go visit.
Had a beautiful day riding the trails. Saw some wildlife and learned some new things about this area. Plan on spending more time out there!
Seems to be a potential spot for just going and connecting w nature!! Always meet nice people there. Its cool so bring a jacket. Off trail hiking can get you lost eazily. Its very overgrown and a maze. Bird watching is so so.
Amazing public resources that’s completely free!!! We have been going here for years and every experience is completely different. They have so many different trails, some are even pet friendly. There is also a free museum for kids to learn more about the animals and ecosystem. There are constantly free events going on and you can check out a mature bag from the museum. Great places to see tons of animals like birds fish rabbits turtles and even tracks from coyotes. Great for picnics. You forget we are in the middle of a huge city in the middle of the desert
Beautiful place with many trails throughout the wetlands of Clark county and the Las Vegas wash which leads to lake Las Vegas and down into lake Mead recreational area. Many different kinds of vibrant wildlife and plants. Great place to take your family for a day with nature.
Its a great place to go on nature walks. You feel as though you are away from it all but you didnt have to leave town to get there. Nice variety of wildlife....bunnies, quail, frogs, great birds and turtles....serene streams of water...quite peaceful.
This place was a nice getaway and change of scenery from the rest of Las Vegas. Very well maintained trails. It’s about 20-25 minutes from the strip.
It would be great if you could walk all the trails with your dog. We could only walk our dog on the outermost paved perimeter road, we werent allowed on dirt trails, makes no sense.
Decent place to get out for a walk. Saw a few Road Runners and some lizards.
GREAT outdoor for kids you can appreciate nature/wildlife. If you find the upper pond look for the family of Instagram worthy turtles that peek their heads out of the water for photo ops. Fantastic escape from the strip and/or desert. Bring water/snacks & grap a map. It is 210 acres you dont want to get lost!
Never knew such beautiful spot existed in my city, I remember on the radio they said to come out and help everybody was out here planting everything a few years ago and the city made a huge BBQ.
I wish the county would not rip out all of the natural vegetation just to put other plants in their place. I guess its called progress. Idk. They are adding a watering system for the new plants. The plants that live there now dont need to be watered. I do love walking out there. Theres lots of birds and natural beauty.
Really enjoyed the walk here. Only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because while my wife and I were watching the park movie (only two people in the room) a worker came in and said I have to be 6 feet away from my wife. I said we live in the same house hold and in a very rude tone he said and now you are in this building and need to stay 6 feet apart. It was very bizarre but we separated anyway because we just wanted to watch the movie in peace.
Quiet. You can walk, explore the trails. Ride your bike . Take the dog . Play area for children. Early in the morning, solitude and silent.
Brilliant! One of the few places in the city with flowing water. Incredible wildlife, especially birds. Plenty of trails for walking/hiking. Lots of areas to sit and rest.
Great for bikes and hiking. Take advantage of it during late summer through spring.
Beautiful escape. One improvement I must say is to add / fix the burned signs. I got lost for a few because of the size of this place. None the less it was a fun adventure. But it definitely needs signs / placement maps.
A variety of paths to choose from, whether it be a stroll down many of the paved walkways, biking trails or even paths you can bring your dogs on. Its the beautiful Las Vegas desert, at its best.
Amazing walk! Very peaceful and quiet. Visitor center is still closed but you can walk the trails. Great during pandemic. Few other visitors on the weekend
This park was a breath of fresh air both literally and figuratively. with so much of Las Vegas being based on entertainment and nightlife, this area was very lush, with a ton of wildlife. I was shocked with how many times that I have been to Vegas status place even existed and I was regretting that I didnt have a bike or my running gear because it would have been great to spend more time there. It was nice to be able to walk around and get a bit lost and explore. I will definitely visit the wetlands again my next time in the Las Vegas area
A very nice family park for walking & riding bikes. They also have a playground for the kids. Very handicap accessible. The information center was great . Lots of stuff to do and interact with. Some of the trails are cement and gravel . They also have many bridges that are very well maintained and picturesque. You will find many photo opportunities on the way. Many places to stop and rest and enjoy the Scenery on benches. They also have areas with canopies over them. Would definitely come back.
Saw so many cool things, water rapids, turtles, road runners...shout-out to Eugene he is great hes part of the cleaning crew there and was so so welcoming even showed us the audiotorium where you can watch informational videos about the land. Theres also free binaculars cemented into the ground up near the visitors center. And this time of year they have a really cute spooky maze
Cool spot to get away even seen my first coyote while walking!
Nature!!! I have seen all kinds of birds and squirrels and rumor is there are beavers but I have yet to see one. Really worth the trip if you live across town.
Great walking trails, a lot of different birds, turtles......a nice getaway 0
Wetlands in the desert? You wouldnt think there would be such a thing, but Vegas surprises me again. This is a nice park for walking and checking out wildlife. There seems to be a good abundance of fowl plus turtles and fish in the water. The walking paths are either paved or unpaved trail. But they are both easy to walk on. The desert views and scenery are fantastic. This would be a great place to take pictures of people and theres even a playground for kids.
As a Photographer I love this place. I alwayus take many couples and people here for photoshoots.
Nice park, awesome to explore wetlands in the middle of the desert. Good chance to see native wildlife. Also great for biking (designated areas only) .
I LOVE THIS PARK!! It’s a perfect place to be adventurous and just enjoy nature. My boyfriend and I love going with some friends to explore the park and it’s hidden trails. It’s also a perfect place to take pictures for weddings, prom, etc.
The wetlands park is a very nice to go to.It has a nature museum, and meny different walking trails. It very peaceful and calm. Go and see it.
Good place to get away from the city and embrace the desert. Not too far out and lesser known leaves you with a lot of time and space to decompress or let the dogs run loose. Also, its secretly the best bike trail in Clark County. Be sure to check out the museum and nature preserve. Hike along the ridges for awesome views of Las Vegas and Lake Las Vegas. Photos are great throughout the day but especially sunrise and sunset.
The views were beautiful. This is probably the biggest park I have been to. There are lots of animals and If you need help with anything you could go inside and get a map or ask anything to the people that work there. Everything is absolutely free so you dont need to pay for anything but there is a little store with little toys and some other useful stuff. Other than all the space you can explore and walk through, there is also a little theater about the park and a little cafe where you can sit and get WiFi but there is no food. If you go, youll find out for yourself.
This place is good for riding your bike. It has a very long biking trail. A nice picturesque view when you climb the hill near the parking area.
Its great to go walking in the morning. It feels colder when you are on the trails and not to many people around.
It was a great escape for some fresh air and a surprising change of scenery...right here in the Las Vegas desert!
Great little hike, the wetlands offer a cool backdrop. The river flowing by makes for a nice impromptu fishing and swimming spot!
Nice and clean. I liked it. Would like to go again
Awesome adventurous place bike,hike,dirt bikes/Atv.Equestrian.
Its so refreshing to do morning rides here & see wildlife you dont see around the city. The information people are very helpful & friendly.
Nice trails to take walks or jog around. There are also benches in shaded areas where you can relax. An overall nice park.
It was beautiful! We enjoyed checking out the visitors center and walking the trails. No real shade on the trails but it was overcast and nice while we were there so it worked out well. The 2-year-old had a blast too!
My family and I live about one mile away from the Clark County wetlands park. We take at least a good half hour to one hour walk 2 to 3 times a week just to take in some nature and see all the natural beauty.Besides the well laid out trails that are nicely marked out and the beautiful views some of which I captured in the pictures that I posted with this there is the visitors center and the education center that are meticulously done and offer education workshops classes and all sorts of opportunities for families to learn together play together and learn about water conservation nature desert conservation biology and the environment that we live in.Even if we lived much further away we would probably still come to the wetlands park regularly.I highly recommend this place to locals and to those visiting to make their way down to East Tropicana and Broadbent to come and see this wonder of nature.Having lived in Las Vegas for 16 years its too easy to forget that we have immense biodiversity and that the desert is not the only beauty to be found here.I would say that 90% of the area is wheelchair accessible and there are smooth flat concrete walkways and even the dirt paths are not hard to traverse as we do with a 3 wheeled baby carriage. For those that are looking to make a day of it, there is a cafeteria area where we have brought our food in at different times. Its totally worth taking couple of minutes to go to the wetlands park website and check out the calendar of of events. Theres something just about every week throughout the year.Favorites of our family include their Halloween events and their summer program events.Enjoy the nature and hope to see you there!
I love this trail! Easy to moderate. Very clean and lightly traveled. Paved most of the way. Great views!!!
Great father son time! Good walking trails, good biking trails. Always seems like I get lost down another route everytime. Thanks wetlands employees and all you do to keep this great park and memories going!
So fortunate to have this area preserved and also have walking & riding trails. I do wish they would reopen the water fountains as the trails are long and a little isolated.
Very large area, clean and open. Didnt see all of it though. Cant wait for the next trip!
Lovely little slice of nature 30 mins from the strip. Love the flowing water and the smell of the air!
Really nice place to visit, especially with the virus going around its good to get fresh air by the river.
I guess we went at the wrong time of year and probably wrong time of day. It was hot!!! But its a nice area to walk and get a piece of mind. A change from the dry and brown Vegas area.
Such a wonderful area! Water in Vegas... rapids, water falls, fowl, little critters and tons of room to walk trails and explorer. You forget you are in a big city full of rude people and traffic jams. You also have multiple sections to choose from. All are amazing and well kept. As you get further down toward the Sahara and Rolly area I wish it was open to camping. It is wide open. I prefer this area over the actual park. Its natural and wild.
My family lives to go walking here to see all the birds. Great for kids. The trails are open while the sun is out.
This place takes you away from the city without charging you, without a far drive... The mini waterfalls and mini rapids are beautiful too!
Great place to walk, run, cycle and view wildlife. Amazing trails and paved bike paths.
Wonderful place to take a long or short walk. Could use some benches and signage.
Awesome, beautiful as best man can be expected to preserve nature in the frontier of desert and wetlands.Good job Nevada.
Its has a great paved bike path and there are dirt trails that wind down by the water. You can see different ducks, geese and possibly coyotes.
Not a bad little preserve, considering its so close to Vegas and across the street from a housing development. I went after some heavy rains and the ponds were full, lots of ducks and a turtle. Good for some quiet solitude.
Truly a hidden gem. It really is beautiful and the trails are just great.
What a nice place to visit for the whole family. Lots of walking trails, some wheelchair accessible. Plenty of plants and animals to see. Stop by a few of the ponds for ducks and other birds. We saw few different kinds of fish too. And if youre lucky you can see coyote too. Visit the visitor center and spend little time learning about the history, why are these wetlands here and different kinds of fauna and flora. There are interactive activities for kids to keep them interested and also learn something. Best part is its free so consider donating. Enjoy!
Fun place to get your nature fix in an oasis-like preserve. There are easy walking trails and bike trails for all levels of riders -watch out, some areas have steep hills! Maps and interactive exhibits at a very nice visitor center. Restrooms at visitor center and on nature trail. Unsightly failed areas of groundcover planting and rows of dead trees give evidence that the desert, even near the Las Vegas Wash, is a difficult environment.
Its a great escape from the city! While strolling around, we almost completely forgot we were still in the desert. Of course I recommend pack water, snacks, and be mindful of the summer heat during the day. Enjoy!
Great place to take a walk and kids can ride there bikes but there are alot of bugs in your face when you get close to the pounds
Easy trails, kid friendly. Theres a pond with turtles and koi fish.
Great place to just get away from the stress of life. Plenty of walking trails and photo opportunities
Small put pretty amazing find for the middle of the desert! Nice walking trails and running water. Not all trails are dog friendly but the majority of the park (outskirts) allow dogs. Was impressed and would go again!
Definitely a great place for a morning walk or run. There is a good size parking area, as well as a nature center and restrooms. Different trails are available to the public, and there is always some native wildlife to see. There are also water viewing areas within the preserve where you can view wildlife, including turtles. Spring and Fall probably offer the best opportunity for taking in this park as the temperatures are definitely more friendly than the 110 plus temperatures Vegas has in the summers. Bring your cameras as this really is a lovely area within the Vegas Valley. I would also suggest wearing not only sunscreen but some sort of insect repellent as there are areas of standing water that not only attract but are home to different types of flying insects. It is important to keep in mind that the Wetlands Park is a conservation area so there are a few rules to keep in mind:*Everything you pack in, you pack out. (Basically no littering) Picnics within the Preserve can be eaten in the Nature Center there, as there really are no places to sit and eat within the preserve itself.*animals must be on a leash in designated areas, and there are areas within the park that pets are NOT allowed. (again this is a conservation/preservation area and the decision is made to protect the wildlife that calls this area home as well as their habitat)*Bicycles are not permitted on the trails within the preserve. There is an outer paved loop where bicycles are permitted.
Great walking trails. Usually a breeze so not as hot as you think it would be
This is an awesome Clark County Park with tons of walking trails for the family. It is also great for road biking since you can connect to the trail that takes you down to Lake Las Vegas, Pabco Trailhead, and even the River Mountain Loop. If you want a long bike ride, this is the place to start.
Great place to visit. Nice and quiet with plenty of trails to follow. Also has a pond complete with ducks..fish and frogs! My girls love to come here. Oh! It also has a little playground as well
Took homecoming pictures here. It was very nice
Great walk through nature with variety of wildlife. Take water and enjoy.
So fun to go out and enjoy the fresh air and take a walk with friends and enjoy some alone time with nature
It really gets you into nature. Be ready to see several small animals and often a coyote. Sometimes you will see a snake
Great place to go for a walk and enjoy nature. Make sure to bring plenty of water and dont litter please.
The experience here was amazing. Great walk for any day. Great way to go on a bike ride. I went with a friend of mine and we had an amazing time together!
A great place to take a walk, but on a hot Summers day make very well sure to take a bottle or two of water.
Great birding location in the Las Vegas area. Nice discovery. The first time I was able to check it out I was very happy. Plenty of birds and wildlife to observe in a nice peaceful setting. The wet lands are full of life and there are many interesting nooks and crannies to check out. Nice escape from the city!
This place is a beautiful and nearby escape from the city and its still in development! Volunteering here has certainly been a treat. Highly recommended that you visit if youre looking for the Best Place in Vegas to Pretend Youre Not in Vegas. There are no pets, no biking, and no equestrian-ing in the Nature Preserve, but there are trails for that along the outskirts of the preserve and the rest of the park, which is HUGE!
Love this place so peaceful! Great trails. Drop a pin in the parking lot though as the trails can be slightly confusing.
It is a peaceful place & very educational to see nature. Fun to go with kids, family or by yourself. Never know we had a river in Vegas. Even saw a huge turtle in the river.
A great escape from the city. Once walking the trails, you wouldnt even know your in Las Vegas anymore as the scenery transforms. Great for birdwatching. Nature center is state-of the-art with exhibit halls and daily programs. Fun for all ages.
This is actually just at the back of our house and my parents-in-law house about 5-7 minutes walk. Very close to Samboyd Stadium, Silverbowl Soccer Park, Henderson Hospital and Galleria Mall.
We LOVE the Wetlands Park! Walked around this morning, beautiful day, saw lots of birds, such a lovely, peaceful place to spend a morning! Trails are mostly paved and level, easy for walking. Beautiful visitors center and gift shop. Volunteers are friendly and helpful. Open dawn to dusk, plenty of parking, free admission! If youre a birder, or if you just want to take a nice walk, Wetlands Park is the place!
Such a beautiful park, please make sure though not to leave trash though (and grab any you can you find laying around)
Very nice park, theres running water just dont think about where it came from and youre golden
Loved it. Awesome oasis in the desert.
Its a great walk and full of nature. Trail signage is worn and needs to be update. I recommend visiting in the fall, winter or spring.
This protected wetland is a great place for an easy morning or evening walk or bike ride. For biking, you have to stay on the paved path but you can walk or run on the dirt trails. Bring water and wear a hat. There is also a park with a climbing wall for kids. Its nice and breezy and you can see lots of bird species and desert rabbits. Only 20 minutes drive from the Strip with a beautiful view of the whole valley.
Beautiful place for a hike or a run. Nice mountain and city views. Lots of varied birds enjoying the water.
Clark County Wetlands is a great place to spend a couple of hours or wander around for an entire day. There are numerous paths, some paves, some dirt. The river is a great place to sit and relax, or you can take the 8 mile path through the reserve.
What a pretty place.
