We thoroughly enjoyed this golf course. The setting was magnificent on the back nine set against the beautiful marsh. The greens were our favorite part of the course. I do not remember the type of greens but they were very true and had a good speed to them, probably a 10 1/2. They held very well on approach. The course was well maintained. Fairways were a little firm but got decent divots. We liked the practice area as well. Having an area to chip with bunker near the range really helps.We did not stay at the hotel, but we went over to the hotel and had dinner at their Echo Restaurant and enjoyed the experience. We looked around at their lovely inside of the resort and walked outside to the pool area. We would love to stay here in the future and see why you recommended it so highly.We will tell our other golfing buddies back in SC about the King and Prince.,

Great course and its always in excellent condition. The staff is friendly and there is a nice the restaurant. The only downside to this course is the driving range.

I actually have lived in the painted desert community for about 10 years my mother owns a home there.. Its a very nice and quiet neighborhood with security guards at the gates so very safe and with several sgates, i believe 7 in all it has everything from apartment, condos, town homes, middle class single family homes and last multi million dollar homes..

Warning: never golf here. There may not be a course that is more poorly managed. It took us 90 minutes to play two holes. Then, they offered us a rain check but only gave us 60% of what we paid.

Went late February. Snowed out the first day I went. Next day was open, not too busy, greens were fast and true. Definitely hope to return next year.

Beautiful course, great staff.. Good food.. I have 4 stars because they schedule T times to close together, i felt rushed on the front 9. Onto the back 9 was more relaxed. Ill be back not to many par 72 courses in vegas.

Signed up for driving range. Range has new mats. Members said range open to grass hitting Fri-Sun. Havent played in a couple years due to injuries so needed to get into the swing of things. So far everyone has been courteous.

Looks nice but...cons- range balls are old, practice mats are old, sometimes you can hit off the grass at the range but it’s not fairway grass, it’s 1st cut of rough grass. no chipping practice area.pros- everyone is very kind and professional. they play good pre-play music outside. the practice green is perfect. the food is very good!if i didn’t know, and had to guess what a round would cost here... i’d guess between $35-$45 peak.i’d play here again.UPDATE 10/27: The new practice mats and reseeded practice range looks great!! Now...about those old range balls!

Beautiful fairways and fast greens that putt true. Tough course.

Went to the driving range, it was nice to see they were set-up on turf ILO Matts but the turf was still a little on the thin side.

The food has improved significantly! Eileen is an excellent server.

The staff is nice, and the course has some scenic holes. Alas, the greens are spongy, so footprints linger and the ball bounces as it rolls. A few tee boxes are dead and hard to hit from, many fairways are full of dead spots, the grass overall is not “golf” quality- it’s more thick and hard, and the driving range balls are almost bald and all over the 9th and 18th fairways.The layout is not too challenging but not simple. Lots of old folks hopping out in their personal carts and apartments and condos lining every hole.

Wife and I had an excellent time at this golf course. Staff were attentive and friendly. Course actually played fast; surprised that we did not catch anyone nor anyone behind us. We finished in 4 hours. Greens were super fast. Wow. Also if you do slice or pull, then have fun on the gravelled areas. Lots of water and bunkers... so can play challenging. Only 3 the boxes but worth it. Love the nick names on each hole. We always look forward to see what the next one holds. Will definitely be back. Surprised that it was not busy, considering the amount of players at the driving range.

Regarding the golf range, this is probably the worse I have been to. The golf balls haven’t been replaced in a long while, and are dirty with many of them still with dry dirt on them. Shame on them. The golf management should pay a little more attention to the quality of range balls. I know for sure that I will not be sending anyone there. Shame on you.

I went to practice and the range is deplorable from the mats to the balls. No dimples, sliced and with gouges. This will probably be the last time I visit the range. On a positive note the practice green is great.

Horrible, they forgot our tee time. When we got out our cart died. Tried to call pro shop went to voicemail every time. Had to walk in. Did not have any carts left. Round took 6 hours. No rangers to help. Worst experience ever. Never play there if you can help it.

I like this place alot. A little rough around the edges but overall a very nice course. My two biggest negatives: need new driving range balls and greens need to be cut shorter(they are very nice and run true but need to be faster and run out more. Overall, from tee to Green the course is really good. Take a rock club if u spray the ball.

I took a group of students with kids Golf Association... top-shelf people... Nice facility... Committed to working with youth and growing the game. Kids had a great time.

Its an absolutely great course not to expensive was $45 for a 10 am tee time on a Friday, Ive always loved playing this course, has a low medium range of difficulty, but can be hard if you play the back tees, lots of bunkers. Overall really fun to play

Golf course has great geese and ducks

The driving range is really close to 2 holes and lots of stray/broken balls on the course when we started. Narrow and unforgiving rough (rock and dirt) sum up my overall feeling. The group behind us cut in front of us on the back nine which made play even slower. Greens were fairly consistent and fairways played nice.

Painted Desert looks like a very easy course to play but it was so hard that I couldnt find a ball that I or my playing partner saw land. But I will be back to play again and still enjoy it

Poor service, I had scheduled a start time from GolfNow which was charged to my Credit Card. I did not receive an email for verification so I called the Golf course and they stated that I did not have a tee time scheduled. Then I called Golf Now and waited for a significant time to verify and though the GolfNow stated They would put me in the q they did not return my call. Now Painted Desert is saying to Golf Now that I did have a tee time and neither GolfNow of Painted Desert Golf will refund the cost for the tee time! Very poor service and will no longer use GolfNow and do not recommend Painted Desert due to poor service!

Narrow, lots of desert, house lined and short. Decent course for locals at a reasonable rate. Probably the most interesting thing about this golf course is the emergency plane landing in one of the ponds in 2017, ask the pro shop for the story.

Nicely maintained course with beautiful scenery. Convenient location in the Northwest part of town.

Fairways are in great shape,though pretty narrow. Waste areas are gravel - you stand a good chance of getting club damage. For the green fees they charge, youd think they could maintain the cart paths; evidently not. The paths are in terrible shape and your back will feel the heaving pavement.

Chill and private. Well kept greens and facilities. Great parking and decent location just off the 95 highway. Not too pricey all things considered. Just my opinion. FML the struggle is real

Stopped by after hours and got bum rushed while reading the clubhouse rules and asked to leave immediately.And no later than now! walker and all.Then I had to have a conversation with a local police person, I guess because I could not get my self propelled walker into 4th gear and do more than .5 miles per hour.I apologize for breaking that gear 2 years ago when I had a stroke requiring retraining (30 days worth, to walk without a wheelchair).I was not homeless or indigent just looking for exercise to improve my quality of life!

This is my second visit to the club this year as this is not my primary residence. The club is very clean, and everyone is gracious and informative. I used the driving range and practice putting green. The course is in excellent condition.

Awesome place to golf just repair the cart paths

Havent played here in probably 15 years. I originally planned on playing at Paiute but the staff was very rude at the check in so I left and gave painted desert a call. The guy who answered the phone couldnt have been nicer and told me to come over and he could get me right out. They paired me up with another single and we finished in around 3 hours. The course was much better than I expected. Greens were in great shape as was the rest of the course. Looking forward to playing at painted again soon.

There was a singer there last night. His show was terrific. The food they served sucked. I am glad I went for the show and not the food. The singers name was John Windsor. I went with some great friends. A good time was had by all.

Its a very nice gated community with amenities. Also a secured RV parking lot.

Love the place!!!!! Play 2-3 times a week. They just changed their booking app and it absolutely SUCKS. It use to be very user friendly as of two was ago. I tried to use the new and improved app and I cant even find a tee time let alone book one!!! PLEASE fix it or go back to the old app!!!

Wow, I love the homes in this development. Nice large yards & green grass. The homes have beautiful architecture & design. Good security here. Thats a plus!

Golf club is nice not a lot of people in the restaurant I dont understand why maybe advertising... across the street is cracked eggs so maybe people go there for breakfast and lunch.... it would be nice to see more people eating, putting green is nice store is very small. maybe turn the racquetball court into a yoga studio .... clean but just needs more people in it

Our nonprofit organization held a fundraising tournament here. The 56 golfers who came had great things to say about the beautiful condition of the course and helpful staff. Ryan Darland, the golf pro, and Tracy, who directs food & beverage, were extraordinarily accommodating, and went to great lengths to ensure things went smoothly for our guests. They clearly care about giving back to their community, and lead an incredible staff of hard-working, kind professionals. We are definitely doing another tournament here next year!

Lovely location but the ball machine wasnt working and the bar closes very early.

My negative review is not for the course. I played there early September and my truck was broken into with causing damage to my vehicle and cash being stolen that I had accidentally left in there. Please do not leave anything valuable in your cars while playing there. I emailed the course asking if they had cameras and to contact me and never heard a word back. I will not be going back to play there.

This course was quite far from north end of strip with lots of roadworks on the way but well worth playing.

Grass is transitioing....but definitely playable.

I see a lot of people complaining about delays on here (Maybe theyre playing Sat Morn?). Every starter weve dealt with gets us out 5-10 mins early. This course was in good (not perfect, but good) shape, and during the week days is usually pretty darn open. Specially when you go out between noon and 2pm. Good rates too. This is more of a locals course, so you wont see a crazy amount of visitor traffic.

What a great place, staff was attentive, the rates are reasonable, and the layout is challenging. I’ve played it more than three times over the past year and the greens and fairways are always in immaculate condition. I can’t wait to play it again.
