Sams town has it all! It has a nice RV park, nice machines in the casino, rooms are clean, reasonably priced. TGIF has steak and lobster at a great price, Under $15.00! Great drinks, bartender made me a June bug TGIF, what a great drink! Gambling was good. Sams town also has a great light show every evening, its actually in the casino. Pretty great light show, for everyone to see. Would definitely stay there again!
I never thought I would see such awesome green trees in the middle of Vegas like this. The whole place has plenty of food choices, reasonable gambling prices for just about any game you want to play, great room prices, and most amazingly the center of the entire place is awesome to walk around. I even have awesome photos of the location in this review. Defenitly will come here again!
Not very clean. I was there 5 hours and only saw 1 person clean a slot machine. They need to hire more cleaning staff. It would have been nice if theyd had hand sanitizer at the top and bottom of the escalator and throughout the casino more. This is still my favorite go to place but next time Ill bring my own disinfecting wipes for the slot machines. Ate at TGI Fridays and had a great meal. $14.99 Steak and Lobster. We were just passing through Vegas.
Positive: Price and cleanliness Negative: No
It looks super cool from the outside!I went and grabbed a beer from the barCost $4 for a small plastic cup. Im not great at gambling so lost the few dollars I put in. If you put a $20 in they comp your drink, or if your playing ongoing they give you I think 2 an hour.I was there as I was meeting friends for bolwing it was $7 for a pitcher which worked out a pretty good deal.Nice friendly bartender.
Ive been coming here for years. Its my favorite place in Vegas. Clean room at great price. Plenty of gambling but the bingo room is my favorite. Lots of places to eat from inexpensive to elegant. Beautiful park like atmosphere inside resort.
I love Sams town Hotel & Gambling. Perfect off the strip casino. Affordable for Las Vegas
They are too bothersome with these masks! So annoying that u cant relax and gamble....and dont try to smoke a cigarette cuz they will tell u to take a puff and replace your mask. They dont let you win anyway. Very rude staff on the floor and yell across me while Im playing. A waste of time really!! Id rather go to Dottys and enjoy myself .
Love the lanes. They keep their mechanicals clean, and the lanes are consistent. Great house to bowl in!
Great Casino! Bowling center downstairs is nice. Good special Sunday morning while watching some football. One of our favorites off the Strip.
Positive: Very clean room and friendly staff.
Positive: I stayed in the mini suite It was spacious and very clean Loved it!
Great room. The lady that checked me in was great. I had made my reservation with hotels.com after midnight. So I was supposed to check in at 3pm. She got me in my room at 3am. The bartender was good too.
From the entrace to the exit Sams Town exceeded my expectations. We were greeted by Cristina Bondoc. She directed us to TGI Fridays. At the Restaurant we were hosted by Bridgette who was speedy, friendly and made sure we were ok. We had Chips with a homemade salsa that was not spicy. It was delicious. Then, we had the Early Bird Special of Steak and Lobster with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Great deal. The Manager Raul came out to meet us and I took pictures of him and Bridgette, the Winning Team. Dessert was Brownie Obsession. To die for. Then, we took pictures of the forest and the waterfall. It was beautiful! We had a great time and fun.
As usual a great time to be had here! I love this casino and hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food in all the restaurants...sit down or food court theres something for everyone from delicious steaks, fantastic lobster to places like Mcdonalds and Subway to name a few. Have some ice cream for desert at the ice cream shop afterwards. Very yummy. The movie theater is awesome. Spacious and many screens with several movie choices.Snacks as always are pricey. I always bring a few options along with something to drink from home for the family and I because it can get really expensive. Able to pig out on tubs of popcorn from there that way and its our favorite.Im mostly always pretty lucky there in their beautiful yet cozy and warm style casino. Sams is very generous with free play! Everyones different but I find I win more and im generally luckier downstairs. Buffalo is one of my favorite slots and they have tons to choose from. Theres a lot of different table games as well, if thats your thing! Even if youre from out out-of-town make sure you get a players card at theBe Connected counter (mid. Casino, downstairs) because that will give you points with each dollar you spend and increase your free play as well as track how much you spend for your next visit. It also gives you comps for free meals and rooms etc. Sams Town Hotel is extremely nice. Rooms are spacious and clean. Cozy and comfortable beds with nice bathrooms... Ask for one with a view. Its beautiful at night especially. Have fun and enjoy!!
Extremely rude staff. One of their machines ate my $100 bills. After requesting service and waiting 20 minutes, I sent one of my friends to the cashier to request help. The staff told them “oh, 20 minutes isn’t very long. 30-60 minutes is more normal.” Are you kidding me? It shouldn’t take extra effort to receive basic customer service. Rude and unhelpful. I will not be returning.
Check in was easy & efficient. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The rooms had a mini fridge, coffee pot w coffee, blow dryer, ironing board, iron, & safe. Would have liked to have had a microwave too .Loved the waterfall & daily shows in the atrium. Easy access from parking lot to hotel & casino. The casino was 2 floors with lots of different games. Lots of places to eat with lots of different food choices.
Positive: Hotel staff was amazing !
Youre probably wondering what youll get for the price. Easy 20 min drive from the strip. Lots to do on site. Good for families. My 80 year old dad would have loved it. Clean and comfortable room. Eateries from Subway to a nice steak place. Movie theater, basic pool, bowling, free parking. Spa services not over priced. No shopping. Just a gift shop. Low resort fee compared to the strip.Buffet is basic- a couple of steps down from chain buffets like Golden Corral. For $13 (w/free membership card) including soft drinks and dessert, you get your moneys worth. Ask for a garden view.
Liked this casino. Had the games I prefer to play.oleasant employees and ok EV. Liked the Surroundingand Atmosphere.I was just swinging in so no real deep experience here. But would consider a longer stay
Went to Angry Butcher Steak House. The place gets two thumbs uppity up. Great prime rib fabulous side dishes. I got roasted mushrooms with raviolis and rock shrimp.Hospitality service A plus.
I like most of the people that work there. Havent really had any bad experiences there. I get a room there 4-6nights a month. Usually 10days out of a month to though. Front desk people are always very friendly and nice, especially Vic and Pamela (supervisor). Bou(graveyard cocktail waitress) shes my favorite. Always very nice a friendly takes the time to recognize regular customers and their orders, and names.
Best hotel I love the fact they have a bowling alley they have a theater there slots are loose you win there you dont lose you can drink have fun enjoy your room enjoy the view enjoy your company best sports bar and the TGIF thats there is off the chart
We RV full-time now since we have came back to Las Vegas to visit our Son David & 3 Grandkids. We remember Sams Town 1999-2003 our daughter Pina was 4 then.We Loved the Water Show with the Wolf!I hope and pray the Water Show comes back in the near future.
Clean, relaxed, and the craps table was fun. Ate at the restaurant there, and it was a very nice experience. Highly recommend it.
We love Sams Town. We have stayed here and make a stop even when we stay somewhere else. Great staff and friendly service.
First of all, you are required to where a mask at all times and they take your temperature upon entry.Hotel & Rooms- This place is big and has a beautiful court yard by the hotel check in. The bellhop service is exceptional. There is no valet service at this time. They have smoking and non smoking rooms. I was disappointed because we got an accessible room that wasnt that accessible. I am in a scooter and the doors were just barely wide.enough for me to get in. There was really no place to put the scooter that wasnt inconvenient in the room. We had to squeeze by it to get the bathroom. The scooter did not fit in the bathroom so I had to leave the door open when using it. There were no handrailings in the bathroom at all and the toilet was super low and hard to use for someone with disabilities. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination and no railings or bath chair to make it more accessible to one with disabilities. The room was pleasing to the eyes. The room had a large flat screen TV, a small refrigerator and a safe. It also had your standard iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Our room and the hallway reaked of MaryJane and I mean reaked of it. Not from us though. Our room did have a door bell which was interesting. LOLEateries-There is a Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Panda Express, Subway, Robertos Taco Shop, Calamity Janes and a few other places to eat right now. You can do DoorDash but you have to meet them down by the valet area.Gaming & other amenities-They have 2 floors of gaming. At the present time there is no live poker or keno. The machine are pretty tight. There is a bowling center, arcade, movie theater, some little shops and an entertainment venue. There is a gorgeous pool area but it is currently closed as well. All the staff that we interacted with were very nice and helpful. Again, my only complaint was the room.
Great place to be.Hotel rooms are greatStaff are phenomenalSecurity here are very helpful. The Dunkin in the casino is bomb.I would most definitely stop by here at this casino.
Sams Town has always been one of the local Hangouts and best places of percentage payback, a great family destination
Good value. Great food options. Nice rooms. Nothing fancy but a great place to stay with kids.
The greeter was very nice but one of the workers came up yelling at me telling me to leave because he thought I was panhandling, after being insulted his co-worker informed him that the guy was on a different row of machines. It wouldnt have bothered me if the staff member would have at least apologized after the mix up
I had the steamed crab as an appetizer, it smelled fishy when it hit the table. I havent had crab in almost a year and was totally craving it. It served open faced with butter and lemon which was the only thing that made it editable. The ribeye was delicious to say the least. After receiving the bill to see what market price was for that crab I had wished I had sent it back!

Clean and a pretty nice casino. I wasnt sure because of the area, but its actually really nice. I would definitely recommend going there.
I love this casino..won 700.00 the first time I came here. A little bit each time.
I have gone to Sams Town for years. They have about any game that you want to play there and I have always loved their buffet.
Nice sports book and table.Great food court
If I werent RVing Id stay at the hotel. The spectacular atrium looked very inviting. The casino was great. The machines I like were abundant.
I liked that the hotel was not on the strip. It was easy to find for someone who has never been to Vegas. My wife and I are not the partying kind so it was nice that it was kind of low key. The staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel was very clean. I probably will never go back to Vegas but if it do I will stay at Sams Town.
The front desk was very nice and check in was smooth. The room was just like the pictures and clean! The hotel hallways were clean and quiet.
Amazing rooms, let me be the first to tell you. Super Clean and comfy, and everything is fresh and updated...and you will feel relaxed when you enter the room and see the nice decor especially the carpeting. Nice big screen TV too, just wish there were Premium Movie Channels or at least Chromecast so you can display movies on the phone to the TV to compensate for this. Overall I definitely give Sams Town 5 Stars indeed. A wonderful stay as usual!
Positive: The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Negative: I requested a 1 bedroom suite but it was unavailable at check in.They were able to move us the next night to the 1 bedroom suite which was very spacious. There was a patch of hair left on the bathroom vanity. The AC was very loud.
On 10-5-2020 i was playing slots here and ordered a hot chocolate. The waitress brought my hot chocolate and i took a drink only to find out it was Mocha. i told the waitress and she acknowledged she gave me the wrong drink and handed me the second and only other chocolate in her tray. she took my old Mocha and placed it back in her tray. I then observed her serve another customer my old mocha which i had drank out of. I reported the incident to security and will report in the morning to the health department. Becareful they may follow this nasty practice and serve othervpeoples drinks to you.i
One of my favorite places in town. Used to be my home away from home every vacation.
Great set up. Gteat KOA RV park!! Due to covid. Limited activities in Vegas though...
I went I and played the machines and I won. Made my night. Thanks.
Great place to stay. Clean rooms, excellent staff, and a decent breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.
Sams town exhausted my capitol ( cash) its now 12:30 only RTC bus is Boulder hwy to sunset 212 the last bus ride to Paradise Rd. By the time I get home its going to be 3:00 a six hour your I felt like Gilligan on a three hour your. Its not easy living in Las Vegas besides gambling all wages if you dont have a license to drive a vehicle your way of life here suffering on brink of going postal . Sams town has been at nelllis and Boulder hwy for since 1976 this I know and enjoyed it for all these years. Instead of going Downtown and loseing you cash you can lose it rite here on the east side of town Thank you Sam Boyd ..
Very great place nice movie theater good steak restaurant food court is very good to in the fall and waterfall and sitting areas wonderful
The casino and hotel were very nice and clean. The problem i had was the employee at the front entrance. When leaving hotel would not let me pick up luggage at front entrance but made me carry all the luggage across the parking lot instead of having a place in front to load and unload luggage. The attendant was rude
We loved this place! A hidden gem. And Bingo was a lot of fun.
Positive: The Staff were very attentive, they had a Security guard at the elevator which made us feel very safe because we are in our 70s. Negative: Well the price had tripled since my last stay just last month that was a little surprising.
I love this place because it has a great vibe! All the people who work there actually act like they like their jobs. There is such a variety of things to do such as the movies and bowling not to mention all the different kinds of gambling and great places to eat. I give this place a five stars because it covers everything and its a nice place to get away to for a few days.
Celebrated 2 birthdays at one of our favorite places The Angry Butcher. Great food. Great service good time
Wow!I honestly haven’t been here in at least 20 years. My family and I used to patron this casino when it was the only casino on this side of Vegas.Brought my wife here today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We checked out the sports bar, poker room, bj tables and really loved the atrium type area with the waterfall.
Atmosphere is lovely. Gaming has not been great for me at least. Let me win sometime. Lol
Workers and Servers are very polite i love bingo i won 100 dollars on Monday would like more but appreciate that needed at the time but overall sams town is the only casino i visit
Nice, clean rooms, big casino, movie theaters, lots of food options. The staff isnt so friendly. Very rude staff at check in. Other than that its a nice place. Be sure to check out Aces and Ales bar up the street. Amazing food there.
They take your temperature at the door do you go in when you sit down there is hardly nobody there because of the coronavirus but people can still play and its awesome I loved it!
I like Sams town. Always have. But the garden bar is not open. Why????? Angry butchers open. People wear masks. Lets open the bar and lets get on the mystic falls show. Masks are mandatory. And Sams town needs to enforce it!!!! Also limit the people for your mystic falls show
Great Staff great Vibe can really feel at home here I loved my stay here. I could stay here a week. The security here was really friendly.
We drove all the way from Yukon Oklahoma to find “ pet friendly” really means service animals only. The website clearly states we are a pet friendly property there different places. We went to check in and were treated rather rudely and told unless we had a service dog we could not stay here.We called the place from our vehicle and were again treated rather rudely and asked not to stay here.
Great place. Lots of games. Food court is open. Roberts is bomb . Friendly staff.
Great front desk and the rooms were awesome. Relaxing, great to enjoy a staycation.
This place always has great entertainment for an affordable price. Before we watched this wrestling entertainment show the girls and I watch the free light/animal show that they have in their lobby. I love this place because it has a bowling alley movie theater entertainment center gambling shows and etc. for affordable prices
We loved playing Bingo and going back to the movies! Everything is very clean and the staff is helpful.
Friendly staff. Room was big and the furniture was new and the room had a big screen tv. Security was nice, front desk was excellent. Housekeeping and maintenace were professional and prompt. Charging to your room was easy except in the store, takes so long - feels like you waiting on a mortgage approval but the prices are good and they always remind you abiut your BConnected discount. Hope they bring back the laser show - I miss the wolf - JUST PUT A MASK ON HIM LOL. Pool is nice, 24 hour Robertos and the surrounding neighborhood seems less hostile and dangerous.
So much nicer and bigger than I ever would have guessed just driving by it. The atrium is very nice and makes the whole property feel fresh. Has a good mix of slots as well as a bowling alley and movie theater.
I jus go for the bowling and food. My experience was very good, looking forward to returning with the family
Phenomenal hotel with great service and amenities. I would gladly stay here again.
Expensive, machines kind of tight. Food good so are the rooms
Went today after months of being away. Very empty, won a little money, not much. Sparse cocktail service and I dont like styrofoam cups of coffee! Miss the buffet, loved to eat there. The heart and soul of the place seems to be gone.
Very cool indoor waterfall with animatronic animals. The kids loved the sounds, lights and water show. The Holiday & Christmas decorations were also very well put together. Cool arcade area and massive movie theatre as well.
Good! This place follows the COVID-19 guide lines!
Beautiful Hotel & Casino. Las Vegas Nevada.
Locals place and visitors, nice botanical gardens, with a beautiful waterfall show, good movie theaters, and friendly staff, through the casino, good food at the steakhouse.
We went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The front desk clerk did not seem like the best fit for welcoming guests. We were in too good of a mood to let it dampen our spirits. As the two day stay unfolded we were starting to notice a trend. A lot of the staff did not seem friendly. We asked ourselves is this what Sam Boyd would have wanted for his legacy? The real slap was when we had been looking forward to the Angry Butcher restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We got there 30 minutes before closing and the hostess said as she was seating us ‘that the server would be rushing us out since it was close to closing time’. Then she handed us our paper menus and said “leave your masks on until the bread arrives”. Uh, what. Talk about abruptly rude and unwelcoming! We basically thought about it for a minute and walked out immediately. This restaurant is aptly named but should be changed to “Angry Staff” restaurant. I’m in the hospitality industry and would never of said that to a paying guest. We would of left at 10:00 closing anyway and taken food with us if necessary. The cashiers cage employees don’t seem very nice-not sure what the deal is with everyone. And to get a cocktail while gaming was hit or miss all the time. The carpeting had stains that resembled water damage or leaks/floods. It was really strange and noticeable.Needless to say I was optimistic for a good experience and thought we would make Sam’s Town a place to visit regularly. However, it isn’t going to happen that way. The atrium is really pretty and our room was fairly clean. The gift shop was really reasonable in prices and we found some nice things. I would suggest the stakeholders consider bistro tables by the windows in the rooms. I had to eat takeout on the bed or sitting on the floor. Also the popcorn ceiling is super outdated and needs to go.All in all we won’t be returning. This is a place more geared to the 65+ crowd and some really interesting drug type street people. I would also suggest a better system on the temperature checks. If we had to run to the car, we would be tested 2-4 times a day. Maybe a hand stamp or a wristband to say you’re ok?? No thanks to this place ever again.
Not the same due to covid .Staff and security very rude constantly telling you what you can and cant do like your child.Security the worst they really let this covid enforcement go to there head . Not enjoyable but Rooms are remodeled and clean and housekeeping are nice .
This is our first visit to Sams Town and we have enjoyed our stay here. The inner courtyard is beautiful and a great place to relax and get your zen on if the casino is a little hectic for you. The Angry Butcher Steakhouse is a great place for fine dining. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room is pretty standard and comfortable. It seems to have been recently remodeled. The view is very nice of the strip at night and snow-capped mountains during the day. This is a great place if you dont enjoy the crowds on the strip and want a slower pace experience with everything you need in one place.
Good place to visit but DONT GAMBLE here. The machines dont play
Great Casino beautiful garden, nice place to visit with your family,.!¡
This is actually a really nice place. Its a shame that they get a lot of riff raff in there...
Great place they really look out for the homeless people at night who have now where to go hang out
Its very clean and lots of great slots machine.
Nice casino, big, and very clean. TGI fridays okay place to eat.
Awesome show and the theatre is great. Super comfy seats. Beds are very nice. Security to separate hotel guests areas from the public is fantastic. To get to guest areas you have to show guards a room key and if you need to get in your room while its being cleaned the maids make you swipe your key and make sure it works so you know your rooms belongings are being well protected!! Great atmosphere and plenty to do in the casino itself. Bowling alley needs friendly cashiers though.... Thats the only thing I noticed needed fixing!!! Also the buffet is fantastic and always busy so you know its good food for sure!! Wish Panda Express was open later though! Only 24 hr restaurant in the burrrito and taco place which has fantastic burritos by the way!!!!
Definitely not a friendly place to go. Its more for the shady & questionable tyoes.
A terrible place to stay Walk down the hallways where your Room is in it smells like skunk our TV was not working and my father told someone any they did not fix it in the casino it was scary alot of drug looking people we were there years and years ago and we had a light out in our room and tv was not working right and we had a very nice guy named Mr melesko that had it fixed right away we ask people that worked there what happened to mr melesko and they told us that they got rid of the people that made to much money and and got people that they did not have to pay as much I think this is really bad for this to happen to people that were good workers we will never stay here again it really breaks my heart that the people that were here before dont have jobs here because of poor management
I went the Samstown website to book a room for 1 night, filled out the reservation application that was provided tome and after checking it all out hit the”Book your room” icon. A screen popped up stating”We’re sorry, this room is no longer available “ . Below that was a summary of the charges with a total amount charged. I received no confirmation number and was simply was back at the beginning reservations screen. After numerous calls back to the “Jacks Reservations” and “Reservations.com” number I was routed to by the website, I could not find anyway to speak to a live operator and was told repeatedly to hang up and try again. After finally getting through to the hotels teservation desk, I was kindly informed that any online reservation could not be verified “for an hour or so” and was then directed to call back later and they would see if anything showed up.
Excellent temp checks Top Notch security against Cove in perfect sort of shield things for the employees friendly staff while gambling and has a great TGI Fridays inside
I love samstown. I was just a kid when it opened and its been my go to spot for many of years. A lot of good times and hopefully more to come.
This was my favorite place to stay every time I would come to Las Vegas, but this time it was disappointing I don’t know if it’s because of Covid but the room was dirty, and there were a lot of homeless people in the casino and food court, at one point I walked in the bathroom on the second floor and a lady was getting her crack pipe ready and on the casino main floor there was a man who looked homeless i don’t know what was wrong with him but i’m assuming drugs he was standing in front of a machine with his hand curled up and eyes closed just rocking back in forth and there was a lady harassing old people trying to sell them fake gold I think they had all their security to busy making sure everyone is wearing a mask they didn’t have time to notice the rest
