I always enjoy AZ Charlies West. Wether im there to eat cheap food in the Cafe or pull a breezie to go do inappropriate adult activities with me in the stairwell, its always been a good time. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Food in Cafe is cheap and underrated.

Machines were great! Waitresses were stretched too far. They were REALLY busy and I only saw our waitress once. I know they dont want to pay someone to stand around doing nothing. But, this is turning into the normal around the casinos. If were showing up...at least be hospitable! Other then being thirsty it was a great outing. Thanks Arizona Charlies

Sad and dark casino. The whole pit was closed, a few dealers standing around. There is a back corner that feels like a dark alley. I was amazed that people were playing back there. They may need to consider better lighting.

Better than in the past... havent been in for awhile but its def not as stinky with cig smoke but that could be because not as many people... steak and eggs breakfast was the usual $6 with players card, so placed my NFL bets, had breakfast and left satisfied...

We planned to stay 5 nights but needed to stay a couple of days longer. They made the arrangements very easily and quickly. We had our kids and grandkids up to visit. The waitresses were very playful with the grandkids they loved it. Housekeeping were very kind and helpful. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We felt very safe to park our semi truck in the lot. Thank you

Not the same of course the winnings on my personal experience bad I can spend $300 in couple of hours no wins no bonuses nothing. I would get Rons Steak house comps for at least playing now nothing the points have gone down also Reyna she used to work as a casino host loved the way she made us feel like family every time she saw us. The cafe was surprisingly delicious. Friendly waitress, accomodating and efficient. The meatloaf dinner was pleasantly fresh, great size portions and the gravy with mushrooms so tasty. Cafe was Clean inside and out. Not busy when we were there late night, but I hear it is frustratingly busy on weekend mornings.

This casino is not enforcing masks or social distancing. Have had to move to different machines because people sit next to you and dont cover up properly. Asked to speak someone and they said fill out a card which does nothing.

So we went to the buffet, It was an impressive display, bur not many entrees though. The best part of the whole buffet is the dessert. All different kinds of pies and cakes. It was very clean. There were very few selections of meats and things to choose from, which was disappointing. I would not go back to this particular buffet on my own, Nor would I suggest it :(

What a HUGE disappointment. Burn marks on the counters and the tub. The fiberglass tub wall had holes in it and the wall paper was peeling. Carpet was filthy. Very disappointed in front desk staff. No personality and one looked like she had balled up her staff shirt and tied it with rubber bands for a while before putting it on for a days work. Smoking is allowed in the guest rooms. Definitely wont return.

This was always my favorite casino as local back in 2002-2004. I swung by for a quick visit last night and it remains quite nice. I wonder if The Checkmates are still around?

The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Horrible drink service on the casino floor, You were late forever and at times will never receive a drink. I have also been lied to by the restaurant host stating they do not have available tables but yet 90% of the tables were completely unused. Over the last couple of months I have explained these issues to the managers and they only make excuses instead of corrections. I will not be donating any more money with golden entertainment because of Arizona Charlie’s incompetence and rudeness.

I can make it very easy to lose your cool with me some times. Ive worked in both Training and Sales for years and I oftentimes use the ability to get someone into effect to my advantage. The professionalism and class exhibited by Julie at the front desk was remarkable. Im not saying that I was going totally in on her. I am saying that I was wrong and mistakingly confused reservations. I was asking the same questions over and over using different words to prove my point and finally Ms. Julie just encouraged me to come in so that we can fix everything. I looked at my own notes and calendar. I realized my math didnt add up and I was completely in the wrong. People dont give enough commendations for a job well done and I just want to make sure that Julie at the front desk knows that I apologize and I appreciate the professionalism that she exhibited.Vaar

Let me start by saying Ive been here a number of times before covert 19. Im really disappointed with the changes made or lack of changes I should day. I wanna concentrate on the situation in the Sourdough cafe. Wheres the short menu is really basic and they got rid of a lot of the things that I love most. However they person greeting us (2×) did not actually greet us. No smile, no how are you today, nice to see you, what can I do or help you with, etc. Now onto the food, with a short menu you would think service would be much quicker and food would be better, not true. To begin with the service with low and it took 5 minutes just to get our water. 20 minutes to get our food. I had the biscuits and gravy twice with my breakfast and both times the biscuits were so hard that you couldnt even break them with the fork And when I ask for Tabasco sauce they brought me steak sauce when I asked for ketchup they forgot it and it took 5 minutes to get ketchup which by then my eggs (I can say the cook made the perfect basted eggs) and hash Browns were cold. That brings up the next thing the hash Browns both times we asked for crispy and when they got there they were almost raw. She asked for lightly toasted Sourdough and they came dark. My girlfriend had the meatloaf and the green beans were cold and the gravy was really salty. Everything tasted canned or instant except for the meatloaf. The good thing is that the servers were great and I cant fault them for the food. The manager was called and said anytime things werent right the server had his permission to take it back which they did everytime which was great but inconvenient. He did comp us coffee and a soda but I think he should have comped us the whole $8.65 meal for all the inconvenience we had at every meal. Im not even going to get into the dumb idea of combining the cashier and the rewards center and having 1 person trying to help 6 to 12 people in line that I encountered numerous times or the tightening of the slot machines that pay back little to none after spinning 30 or 40 times. Not my favorite local place anymore.

Instead of giving Arizona Charlies Decatur (1) ONE STAR. I am giving them (3) THREE stars. The extra is because the staff / employees were very good. You have some great people, now you just need to fix up your property. The inside layout is confusing and design makes it feel even smaller than it is. The food was not good with extremely limited options. The area of town is a bit scary, that is not their fault. Safety is a real REAL concern when in parking lot. Yes, go there and have fun. But do not expect anything more than the very basic and you will be happy.

Place sure has changed since a decade or so ago. Not as smoky as before and a bit more light. Grabbed a bite to eat at the Sourdough Cafe. Not bad. Prices were good. Got there around 11:45, no wait. Great, considering it was a Sunday and we were hoping to avoid the Sunday Brunch crowd.

I saw lots of people cleaning. People were required to wear masks. In fact, I saw them escort someone out for not wearing one. Machines were turned off/chairs every other machine to enforce social distancing. All employees were masked. Also, I won a little and had fun.

The staff where I got my club card and at the upstairs buffet were extremely nice, especially our server--Jesus. The food was really good! I gave it a four only because I wasnt crazy about the coffee and creamer (you gotta have good coffee with dessert!), but I would definitely go back.

I husband and I love having breakfast at the Sourdough Cafe, playing in the casino is enjoyable, the beverage servers came by us to take our orders often.

***CAUTION*** WASTE OF MONEY *** SEE MY PICTURES. The toilet seat came completely loose on us which made me almost fall completely to the ground. The room was extremely dirty. There was burnt matches everywhere there was holes in the sheets. The chairs were so loose in the room that they almost made us fall down as well. The windows will not open more than 2 in in the rooms. The room smell like burn firewood even in the non-smoking Zone. The customer service here is horrible. Everything from our hotel room all the way down to the gaming area was disgusting and filthy. Everything was grimy there was dirt on every single floor and in every single corner there was clutter from the floors not being swept properly. All in all I do not recommend this facility because of the professionalism of the staff and the Integrity of the establishment. They lack common values like respecting the guest and making sure the guest is comfortable in the room. You will notice by the photos I am providing that this place Lacks cleanliness and safety practices. All the way from the broken crosswalk sign that is laying on the ground in one of my photos to the toilet seat that is barely hanging on to the toilet and bed completely to the side. Please take the time to look at my photos and be careful when considering staying at the Arizona Charlie Decatur.
