This is really how this landed and for the record it didnt count as a hole. 4 stars for no easy to find map of course, score of course and beer cans in bushes everywhere. Disk baskets could be painted to see better. Someone in a wannabe blue cop looking truck riding horses and allows them to dedicate everywhere; by baskets and on trails. This is not a horses park. A hole
This is been here for many years now, earning the name grand much like a parent whos child had a child. The woods are of a good size and fairly traverse able by foot path and include water make sure to bring your own bottle of water because you will be needing it after walking miles and soaking in the scenery. You may play golf with a fisbee circle, perhaps it is popular. There were people there. The seasons change and you are witness as the colors turn the most decadent shades of plum and sienna. Bring a change of cloth for picnic, be wary of poison ivy it is native to the land and easily transferable. I love you very much grand woods, thank you for your service.
We went there to eat our dinner. They had a pavilion and looked like an enclosed building for gatherings. There were picnic tables throughout and grills. They had plenty of parking and they also have a disc golf course there. It was well kept and we would go there again.
Playgrounds are in good shape. Also has a nice R/C track for enthusiasts. Disc golf course is fairly well kept up for a free course. Holes 4 and 5 are just unplayable though. The hidden holes after 6 make up for it though I suppose.
A beautiful sprawling park with a lot of wooded areas for hiking and getting some steps in. I especially like the disc golf course, which I have used throughout the past 20 years. There is a nice little RC track to use. Numerous areas set up with grills for gatherings. All in all, one of the better parts in the Lansing area, in my opinion.
For being in the middle of Lansing, It takes you away and makes you feel much further north. And as well as being clean and well maintained. It also offers something for the kids. I highly recommend it for any avid disk golfers.
Wooded trails frequenting people, open fields, pavilions and families and disc golf. The park was not crowded, though there were people around. Great spot to walk (run), picnic and play.
Great hiking Park! Good playground equipment for the kids. Nice tables to eat at and the park is clean. Good restrooms
Great mature disc golf course in the woods. Good mix of open and tight tree holes with a few water hazards along the way. All cement tee pads with chainstar baskets. Can be flooded with lots of bugs in spring and early summer.Bag them chains!
This park is a really nice place to walk in the woods and look at the river. It can be quite busy with disc golfers.
The disc golf course was very narrow, thick, and unkempt. If maintained better, it could be very nice. The rest of the area has some nice pavilions and such
They need more trash cans around the father hold so theres no trash
Well designed layout for this park . Needs more benches . Other than that it has potential
Nice open park which has disc golf, small playground. Also has trails to walk through
Great place a lot of new trails a lot more disc golf baskets been going there for over 35 years
Nice trails, clean park, a little bit of something for everyone
Used to hang her in the 80s Indian pow wow was always fun
Great disc golf course with bonus holes.
It is a beautiful park with lots of trails! We got married in the indoor pavilion. Everyone was nice and it was wonderful to take kids to go play.
Fun fun, definitely should expand the course !
Wish they would fill in or pave those potholes
Love it been going for years
Nice park with some open spaces and pavilions. Most trails are not paved. Disc golf course was nice, although could be better marked.
Great park for disc golf and not too busy.
This rating/review is for the disc golf course only. Not the park as a whole. We travel all over the state playing as many course as we can, but will not be playing this course again. Holes were flooded, making them impossible to play. The mosquitoes were extremely thick. The baskets were old, and definitely need to be upgraded. I can deal with all that, as it is a free course. My biggest issue was the lack of signage. We kept getting lost, and didnt know where the next hole was, or couldnt figure out where the basket was from the teepad. Theres also play equipment near the course so we had to deal with kids running through the fairway. Positives: cement teepads, picnic table and trash can at almost every hole
Nice big park. Moderately maintained. Many disc golfers there everytime I have been. There is an RC car track here. Picnic tables and gazebos are in good condition.
Really nice disc golf course through the woods. Nice atmosphere, park is reasonably clean. Quite a few areas to lose your disks though if you suck like me so be careful
Nice disc course some challenging holes..water is low right now so at worst u get muddy socks and shoes...lol
Great trails and Frisbee Golf Couse
This is one of my favorite parks in the Lansing park system. Its great for walking especially on the disc golf course. There are amenities that are different from other parks including a RC vehicle track and a wilderness area. There are picnic benches and rest areas in both sunny areas and in the midst of the woods. Its a great place for making small kids feel like they are on a wilderness exploration.
Beautiful trails beautiful Park highly recommend
Just a great spot.
Nice family park where you can disk golf, have a cookout, let your kids play or take their electric cars and drive on a track or take a pleasant hike.
Love discing here!
Nice little park that is great for sledding in the winter if you have small children as the hills arent too steep for little ones.
Beautiful park! Raced the Lansing CC invite here. The trail is around 2 miles, was pleasantly surprised with it.
We took a nice Fall stroll through the park. I was surprised to find how large it was and how well mapped out ! The disc golf course is well marked and looks like lots of fun ! The views are wonderful with a trail along the river and also a large pond . Pavilions are available for rent and playground equipment is maintained . The only disappointment is that there is no bathroom facility. It is always locked. Cross country runners often use the trails and dog walkers are frequently seen . So put on your walking shoes and get out there !
Beautiful park, very well maintained and clean. Lots of space for other park goers to enjoy their time there without feeling crammed. Awesome nature walking trails and very nice fishing pond. Many disc golfers there but very entertaining watching them even if you dont play.
Such nice playground
People leave too much trash! Pick up after yourself!!
The park on a normal day would sit between 4 and 5 stars for me. Its a solid park that has most standard and some above and beyond standard features. It has two different play areas for kids, pavilions that you can rent, decent bathrooms, decent parking, lots of trails, a large RC car race track, a very nice disc golf course, and lots of open space for activities you may want to do. The thing that puts my rating over the top is the events. Some of the events they host here, like the recent, Kids Mud Run, are pretty cool. Definitely look up some upcoming events and check them out. Theyre also pet friendly (leashed). They even have a drinking fountain for the pups.
Great park to go to enjoy quality quite time
Great trails and disc golf
Pretty nice park. Couple of playgrounds. Picnic shelter. Disc golf course. Walking/running trails.
Nice place to have parties and reunions...frisbee golf too!!
Very nice park... Its been there for years... Disc golf available...Lots of trails...Walk along the river...R.C. track...Have Fun...
Great park, but for Kroms sake, enforce the dogs-on-a-leash law. It is NOT a free roam dog park!!
Clean well cared for place. Playground, rc track, disc golf and many other things to do with a young family
I love this place ! gorgeous views and the perfect place for a long walk with your dog, family, or just by yourself ! its a big park with lots of space to have a picnic, have your kids play on the playgrounds, or even play remote control cars on the tiny racetrack! i come here almost everyday. high recommended !
I grew up near here, so it was a pretty common place to go. Its amazing how many people I talk to who have no idea what or where this park is. Theyve got a fun disc golf course and some fun trails to walk on. Lots of picnic tables and grills. Lots of stuff to keep the kids busy. Very peaceful so close to the city.
Great disc golf course. Perfect place for a long walk or a quick one, depending on what trail you take. The bathrooms have always been clean and stocked when I use them. There are a couple small playgrounds within the park that are wonderful for young children. There is also a mini track where Ive seen remote control cars and trucks race. The park has multiple picnic tables and at least one pavilion that can be reserved for parties. Just an amazing all around park. Oh, dogs on a leash are welcome too!
Very well maintained, spacious lots of things to explore
Absolutely love this park... playgrounds for the kids grills hiking trails disc golf and pavilions
Too many people with dogs off leash.
Had a cross country race it has a large wooded area
Super nice park. Disc golf course is fairly technical and really makes you weigh the risk/reward in going for the pin. There are a few places where you could lose a disc to water but when I went (September) the water was down which opened up the fairways by the swampy area a little more. Theres foliage but its not overly thick so if you go off the fairway on the wooded holes its not too difficult to find it. Having cement tee pads are nice, James Conrad would appreciate the length of them. The baskets are garbage though due to their age. Bring your putting A-game because if youre a tiny bit off center youre getting a spit out. Theres a couple of more modern baskets which makes the old baskets seem even more jarring. Im not a local and probably wont be here again for a while so I cant really speak for any DG clubs, but I would suggest they hold a fund raiser for new baskets.
Beautiful peaceful lawns so quite you could hear scads of bulldogs. The mosquito population is very healthy. Lucky for me a ran into someone that shared their bug spray with me. Gotta love Lansing citizens.
Love this park.... so many different trails. Love taking my dog here.
Great park.disc golf course here is main attraction for me. Great variety in the course layout.
A nice big park on the river with a disc golf course, and walking trails.
Played the frizby golf course. Not well marked but fun.
Disc golf course is maintained well and for the most part its a good play. A couple holes are borderline unplayable.
Great park for the whole family
It was a nice park. Its still a bit cold out, so, everything was up and running yet. They have a cool track for RC cars. A disc golf course. 2 playgrounds. A bathroom. A pavilion, baseball field. Tracks to hike, run, or ride a bike on. Woods to walk through and explore and its right on the grand river.
Great place for a walk, a quiet afternoon or a round of disc golf.
Nice.Place to sit and relax
Great for a walk with kiddos to check out fun fungus, the disc golf course is awesome, and the playground is decent too!
Very nice park, dog friendly, had a long nature walk, 2 play structures & frisbee golf. The golfers were rather rude & had open alcohol . Despite this I would still visit this park again.
Liked the firsbey golf nice quite place to relax
My favorite park to go to. Love walking through the woods with my kids or playing disc golf. The gem of delta township for sure.
Great place to play disk golf.
We ate at the remodeled Resteraunt there! Delicious Filet Mignon.
Very nice park located off of willow, has disc golf, playground, bathrooms, and pavilions.
Amazingly quiet park with friendly people
Disc golf review..not the park..Was wet and not maintained at all. Hole placement is not good and the grow over was to much. Its like they place baskets and just said ehh thats good enough.
A great place for disc golf and family fun!
I just come to this park for waking but I can tell it has a lot going on. Amenities range from disc golf to playgrounds to an RC car dirt track, to cross country running courses. There is a pavilion with grills and several smaller shelters
Lots of open space, pet friendly, multiple playsets for kids, and clean restrooms.
Good place to wade fish for bass and pike
So many disc frisbee gone
The course and the trails are very pretty. But be very careful if u r a beginner level player. You will loose discs here as some of the holes are tricky and right on the water. I lost my driver here :( Intermediate or high skilled players will love this course. Cheers
Decent disc golf course, but beginners will want to skip some of the water holes. I find a lot of lost discs here, so theres always a lot of people here. Very dog friendly! Love this place!
We have been disc golfing and enjoying walks in this park since the early 1990s. After being away for a decade, it was wonder to play the course again...made me feel 15 years younger!
Pretty good disc golf course
Fantastic disc golf course with a friendly community.Pavilions for rent, BBQ grills, miles of nature trails, river views, two playgrounds for kids, a nice R/C dirt track, lots of parking.Park also supports local cross country teams. Also dog friendly with a very social dog community...
Great palce to explore, Have a picnic, or a party...
