Wildlife Discovery center is top notch. Rob Carmichael is dedicated to providing the best care of the animals there. It shows. He has brought many of these animals from the brink of death because of previous neglect. He and his staff are professional and caring. Please support them by visiting or donating.

We had an amazing time visiting the Wildlife Discovery Center. We went behind the scenes and got to interact with many animals and had a chance to meet with their amazing staff.Ive been to a lot of animal facilities but this was the first time ever holding a armadillo and petting a Sloth. You can really tell the love and attention that they put into caring for their animals.

Very cool place. Inside was closed due to Covid-19 but plenty to see outside. Bobcat, bald eagle, tortoises, coyote, fox, owls. They brought some other animals out too (fox snake and bearded dragon). Cant wait to come back when the inside is open. Beautiful walking paths around as well.

This is the most amazing place. Rob Carmichael and his staff interact with all the animals. The alligators come out of the water on demand to eat, Boris the Bobcat plays with staff like a house cat and if your lucky you can watch him eat his mice lunch...head first so just the long tail hangs out! Two sloths you can hold for a few! Two fox. Two coyotes. An Owl — did you know they have long skinny legs if you lift up their feathers? An Eagle. If you like animals, this place is for you!

Great place for kids as it has a small number of animals to see and a park near by so there is no complaining about walking to far or being bored. There are also trails to walk if feeling like a good walk. There is a shelter area with fireplace and some stocked wood if you bring your own lighter.Sometimes there is a small farmers market open and if the wildlife center is open there are bathrooms. I dont remember seeing any biffys.

Gorgeous place! The animals are all in great condition with proper care, the staff is helpful, and it is just an all around great place to visit. It is also right next to a park.. so you can visit the animals at WDC, and then take a stroll through the forest next door! Absolutely loved my visits here

I love coming here with my kids! So many cool animals to see. Admission and parking is free but you can donate (check their website if youd like to donate items such as paper towels, bleach, Dawn dish soap, etc). Make sure to visit Flora, Bruno, and Shrimp if you can. Take a hike around their outdoors area, and during warmer weather visit the store with really cool items and food. They even do birthday parties here! Are you convinced yet? Look...they have a possum, a sloth, and a SCREAMING HAIRY ARMADILLO. You have to check this place out.

Cute little wildlife center. We got to see someone playing with a bobcat that use to be a pet. Staff had several little snakes out and let the kids touch them, gently. They had a huge Burmese python, lots of turtles and some tortoises too. Rumor has it they have sloths but they arent on exhibit. There is also a little park nearby that was fun for the kids to run around on.Overall a cute and unique place to visit, and its free!

This place has greatly deteriorated since the last time I visited. A couple of snakes, a couple of turtles, and a bobcat apparently are all that is needed to merit the title of Wildlife Discovery Center.. I can discover more wildlife in my backyard than I found at this disappointing and horribly unorganized joke of a destination.
