Absolutely beautiful and serene place! Very well maintained!

It was a great place to go for a walk, saw a couple of deer. Really well kept trails and surprisingly no rubbish whatsoever!! Good job would love to see it in the winter

Top tier natural area - native prairie plants and flowers. Variety of birds from hummingbirds to Sandhill Cranes. Good walking and biking trail. Easy parking. See photo of barn swallow nest with chicks.

One line trail from North to South alongside one of the Chicago River branch. Our favorite place is the bridge over Railroad. If you have kids and Railroad fans recommend to visit.

Beautiful flat path, brought the dogs, expecting to do a loop but dogs arent allowed on the connecting grass trail because of groundnesting birds, understandably. Before we got on the gravel trail in the open space we took a trail marked New Trail, through the trees. Muddy since its Spring but we didnt care. Heard birds singing, enjoyed the sunshine and the walk around the little pond. Great place

Great place to visit animals at the mini zoo. Fun to walk through the wetlands to view the Middlefork River.

Ok place. I’m sure I would’ve liked it more sure my dogs, but they weren’t allowed on many of the paths- which I understand because it was to protect uncommon habitats and nesting birds- consequently we were limited to a bike path. Pretty place with a really interesting variety of environments. The one thing I have to mention is I came home with so many ticks on my dogs and found one of my leg the next day so be careful!

This is a wonderful place to enjoy the flora and fauna of Norther Illinois. The scenic, 4-mile crushed gravel trail is very well kept and great for running. It winds through the preserves lovely mix of tall grass savanna, woodlands, marshes and prairies, and over the North Branch of the Chicago River.

4 mile dog trail! I cannot believe I had not been here until this year. Well maintained and people are really great about picking up after their dogs.

Hidden gem. Lots of wildlife and wildflowers. There is a wildlife exhibit and a small garden market close to parking area to enjoy.

I love the biodiversity of this savanna. The mostly flat crushed-stone trail is great for biking, running, or walking. Its kind of short for biking, but if you take the trail north to Route 176, you can easily connect to several longer trails.

Nice wide open space with beautiful nature. There are different types of trails to walk on. Plus if you love Pokemon Go there 4 gyms with Pokestops.

This was our favorite place to go when we lived in Illinois. Beautiful place. Lots of turtles, frogs, and birds. And the occasional snake (mostly garters)

Beautiful hike here with family members! Just wish there were maps or signs, as well as benches scattered throughout the trails.

Nice walking trail, lots of signs up if you are interested in learning more about the area. Most people pretty good about picking up after pets.

Lots to see here. Owls were our favorite! We brought the pup and hiked 4.5 miles through a bit of mud. It was overcast and a bit chilly, but overall a great day for late January!
