Beautiful views of South Laguna and Dana Point on a smooth trail composed of decomposed granite. No bathroom but a few picnic tables near the entrance. Not a wilderness experience but great for a casual short hike

Awesome place to hike, explore, and eat lunch...... The Badlands Park is open in some places and you can check out cages, dens, etc. spooky and interesting...bring the littles and start off here... Stop by merry go round and end up at the park... Great afternoon!

Absolutely gorgeous dog friendly trail to walk through before sunset. Only downside is the trail and Badlands park is extremely short/small! Very pleasant short walk. My pup loved sniffing all the scents she picked up. The path is mostly sand and compacted dirt so my pup didnt get too dirty on a dry day which I appreciate. Very enjoyable place to visit. You will only wish there was more.

Amazing view from this trail! One of my favorites. There are some picnic table so you can enjoy a nice meal and the view.

Always a delight! Feeling atop the world off Pacific Island and Ocean overlooking THE Pacific and Catalina...tonights sunset was beautiful from start to finish. Air was clear. Note that parking is only allowed til sunset...so dont linger too lateEnjoy!

I swear this is my favorite place in the world to get away! I wish I could stay in one of the beautiful homes overlooking the park. Its always kept clean, the view of the ocean and the marvelous terrain are outstanding! Best place for a solitary walk and then at night! Phwew! U cant find a better view of Dana Point!

Gorgeous. They even have wheel chair friendly water fountains and water for dogs on the path.

Park at Isle Vista road, make sure to follow the path s.w parallell to Monarch Crest - great views of the area.

Lovely walk at the edge of the mountain park, gorgeous view of the open ocean.

Unbelievable views!!! This is a great trail that runs along the top of the cliffs over Laguna Beach (and in the end - Dana Point). You need to park on the street and walk a little way there, but their are great rocks and natural seating areas to watch the sunset. You can continue through the park to another trail that wraps around all the beautiful homes in Monarch Point. This is an amazing walk (or bike). The trail narrows and its wild to look so far down! This is a must experience during sunset!!

This review is for anyone who is looking for a place to fly RC gliders. I have been looking for new places to fly my radio control sailplanes as some of my old hills are now inaccessible or completely built over.These are my own impressions as I have not flown this hill yet. The slope faces the west and should be able to generate a lot of lift with a mild on-shore breeze. The LZ is a narrow strip of land between the trail and high dollar homes.

Great ocean views easy walk

We stayed in a house with access to this park and it was a very nice scenic walk. You are way up over the coast line so the view is spectacular. There are interesting plants, etc to see and it has enough topography to be interesting with out being too difficult for less agile people.

The weather was comfortable and the visibility was probably at least 10 miles for a pleasant morning trail hike.

The views of the ocean below are amazing. The trails are pretty short so it is not a great place to run. Great place for walks with the family, especially as the sun is setting.

Excellent views, some wildlife in this park adjacent to a residential area. You can take a relatively gentle stroll or hike up and down the incline.

Went yesterday because my husband found this place took our dogs it was a very fun place to explore and hike. Only problem was all the broken glass and trash :( i saw along the trails. Next time im bringinf a extra bag so i can clean up sad people cant take care of beautiful places like this
