This hotel was so great. me and my family had a blast in the ocean and the swimming pool. the staff accommodate us and are very nice they make you feel welcomed. they have a Starbucks coffee machine and tea at the front desk for the guest and its free that was delicious. I recommend this place 100 perfect its a beachfront hotel has very nice views and the ocean water so clear and blue. I will definitely be back

Exceeded my expectations! Stayed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day! Staff super helpful, very friendly and welcoming! Rooms were very hip modern clean and comfortable! Love the Lather bath products! Great value for the quality of room and service! As nice as many of the hotels Ive stayed at and even more welcoming than some!

The staff & location can’t be beat! We love the staff & their helpfulness. If there is an issue, they will make it right. There is no better location & access to beach just steps from your room. We love to park our car for days and just walk everywhere.A few easy upgrades I would love to see: full length mirrors in the room, plus a makeup mirror on the desk. How about a cocktail hour with appetizers for a $20 fee? Love the roof top deck, Please Make sure all ac units are clean & dust free. Check batteries in tv remotes, safes and our key card would not work almost on a daily basis & we stayed for 6 days. Frustrating.

Perfectly situated boutique hotel that is slightly run down and in need of an overhaul but nevertheless charming and tranquil.Rooms are clean and have a small kitchenette for breakfast with coffee maker and coffee supplied. There is a small fridge too.Beach is at the bottom of the hotel down three flights of stairs.We had no problem getting chairs and umbrella each day as there is usually a worker there to assist and give you some help.When we were there in August, the tide came up very high and the waves are a beach break meaning they break very close to the shoreline and sometimes the waves were quite tall which is intimidating to get in. But if you wait for a wave set to pass it will and you can walk in. You just have to wait for a wave set to go before getting out again. there are lifeguards on duty throughout the summer on a daily basis so it is very safe.The staff were very nice and the rooms were very clean.The downsides are that it does need a facelift especially the rooms however they are comfortable and clean. Our kids love the pool and said it was very warm and clean, but it is surrounded by tacky Italianate statues. This adds to its overall charm though.The hotel accepts pets and each night free parking was not a problem at the hotel.

Lovely place right on the ocean. Lots of restaurants nearby to walk to. They have shaded areas to take your food and drinks and enjoy the ocean.

Do you love the sound of waves crashing? How about sleeping to that very sound? If you do, you will love this hotel. Beach front rooms with private access and a warm water shower, great amenities like daily breakfast and coffee available, nice pool, and the rooms are just phenomenal. The location is by far one of the best things about this hotel, close to shops and Laguna beach. The staff that works here was so welcoming and friendly too! This is a must stay, whether for locals or visitors and the like.

Really cute setting. The view of the ocean is really nice. Really loved going to sleep to the roar from the beach. They have some nice balconies with great views.

Excellent room with an amazing view of the surf

This place is great! Right on the beach, although there are a lot of stairs. During high tide the sea rises right up to the base of the hotel, and it is an awesome and beautiful sight to see, at night especially. The staff is super helpful and will put chairs and umbrellas up on the beach. Excellent coffee machine in the lobby and they have a nice little breakfast in the morning, mostly waffles and pastries. The decks and common areas are very well kept and all have great views and seating. The room was coastal stylish, and had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Nice shower, but the bathroom was always damp and musty, with a weird smell. I suppose that the ocean mist has a lot to do with that. At night you can see the mist swirling under the lights outside, really awesome! I could hear the waves crashing all night, which I loved. The weather was cloudy and cool, with one day of sun the week I was here. A very peaceful place!

I had a wonderful stay! First and most obvious reason is the location. This hotel sits on the sand. My room was clean and comfortable with an ocean view. The hotel is older but they do a great job of keeping it maintained and clean. There are chairs and umbrellas on the beach for guests. One thing I should mention is there are alot of stairs, all hotels in the area seem to have lots of them. The staff at the front desk are so kind. The manager is a truly lovely man, he really made my stay feel extra special. I cant wait to come back.

Excellent location - right on beach! We had a spectacular oceanview unit with a deck. Even though it was grey out and raining it was amazing to hear the ocean as you fall asleep. Water comes all the way up to the rocks.Older hotel and pretty well maintained. Room had a king bed with pullout couch, an eating area and fridge and MW. Bathroom was renovated and nice. Continental breakfast included and the warm croissants were a nice touch and good. Hotel has a pool (didn’t see a jacuzzi) if the ocean is too cold. Lots of steps - especially to and from beach (we were on top floor). Hotel offers parking for only one car but close by residential neighborhood allows overnight parking. Definitely on my go back list!

Absolutley phenomenal place to come relax and enjoy the best of social! By far one of the only places in Cali that Ive stayed at that you actually get to enjoy everything the ocean has to offer privacy, tranquility and just a great time. Came with the wife and kids and did not disappoint. I will be planning next trip before summer is over !

We went to Laguna for lunch and as we were strolling along I noticed this cute place right on the water. I walked in and spoke with such a friendly man, Bashir that I ended up booking a room for the night and just staying. I didnt want to leave so booked my next stay before I Ieft and that is the trip I am sharing. Again, this place is so magical. We sit with our feet in the sand and listen all day long and then get up the next day and do the same thing. From many of the rooms you can hear the ocean as you sleep. I once had a friend who said she likes to travel to the same places as staff feel like family. That is true here. I feel like the Academy awards with my shout outs here: Morgan thanks for the muffin treat late at night, Celia thank you for noticing we had our hands full at breakfast and running out with a tray to help us bring breakfast to the ocean, Nick thanks for always checking to make sure our stay was nice, Celia 2 thanks for showing us the oceanfront rooms so we can dream about our next stay right close to the water. Thank you to the gentleman who happily got us an umbrella and chairs when all others were taken. Barish thank you for inviting us in and always selecting such a nice room for our stay. You are the best. We stayed our last day until the last bit of sunset left the sky. Andrew, was in the care waiting for me as I just couldnt leave and kept saying 10 more minutes. I so love this place. Rooms are quite simple, however if you want to take in the sound of the ocean for hours on end with lots of little places to sit and enjoy then this is your spot.

Appliances is a 5 out of 7 as we had issues with turning on the TV the entire time. Became frustrated trying to keep messing with the remote.Bath amenities is a 4 out of 7 because I did not like the shower head, water pressure, shower did not get hot enough and no shower door so we got cold.House keeping friendliness is a 5 as most of the staff didnt even say hello or happy new years back (maybe a language barrier).Bachir who works at the front counter provided exceptional customer service and hospitality. He went above and beyond for us. A kind, hard work man for sure. Give this guy a raise. Us coming back many times in the future is due to his hospitality. When we check out, he asked how the room and visit was. My girlfriend said it was amazing and I got engaged. She showed her ring and told Bachir how I did it. He was excited and said, hold on! And ran off out of the lobby. He came running back in and handed my girlfriend (now fiance) a rose and said congratulations.Overall, great experience and we will be going back many times

Amazing hotel with spectacular view!!! I f you want a romantic weekend or to spend family time at the beach, this is the perfect place!Really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. Nick, the manager of the hotel, was incredible helpful and generous with his time and advice. Bachir, the front desk supervisor, who welcome us warmly, was the most polite and willing to give us instruction for the hot spot near by!! And what can I say for Morgan, the front desk agent who was always on the top of our requests!!I recommended 100% this hotel!!

Amazing views but badly needs updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lounger on our deck was broken, end caps were missing on the deck posts, ac vent was broken off, the light in our bathroom was covered in rust, the shade in the kitchenette was stained, most of the umbrellas were rust stained and discolored. Just needs updating badly. There are lots of stairs, so if you are of limited mobility, be fore warned. Not worth the price in its present condition, but the view almost make it worth it....

The Capri Laguna was an unbelievable experience! The hotel was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the pacific ocean and a phenomenal hotel staff (especially Nick). They are always willing to help and do everything they can to make your experience as amazing as they can. From breathtaking views, friendly faces, and complimentary coffee, you cant pass up a chance to stay here! This should be the hottest hotel in Laguna Beach. Excellent oceanfront views, phenomenal customer service by Bashir. It was so peaceful, safe and breathtaking. The grounds were well maintained. However, the rooms need to be refreshed as it smells dated. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay!

My parents built and managed the hotel in the 50s and 60s. I grew up there and loved it. Glad to see it looks very much the same except the highway frontage.

Staying here for a quick weekend getaway felt like a dream. Love how the hotel is built up the cliff side. You can tell its an older hotel, but the rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and the hotel offers nice amenities, including a pool, Continental breakfast, robes/microwave/mini fridge in the room. Our suite had sliding glass doors to our own private balcony with spectacular beach views. Listening to the crashing waves, we were hypnotized into relaxation. Once we checked in, we didnt want to leave our room. Hotel is within walking distance of some great boutiques and restaurants. Lots of stairs, but the wonderful folks working always offered to help with our bags. Well definitely be visiting again. If you do order food in, pizza delivered from Ginas was awesome!

The ocean view and the friendly staff is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. We payed $890 for 2 nights (room 403 ) which was incredibly small - the bed was the absolute killer - it literally feels like you sleep on a Boxspring, no mattress topper or any protection. I dared to look at it before we checked out and Ill probably should not have done it The carpet was full with stains, the Microwave/fridge/coffeemaker seen better times also the door guard swing was broken off - someone must have been trying to break in. Overall I had the feeling of sleeping at a cheap motel 8 and payed 10times the amount. Very dissapointing experience.

We had a wonderful one night stay for our 36th wedding anniversary! Our suite overlooking the ocean was a beautiful room, very cozy at night, and what view and sounds to wake up to on 3/16!The staff was very friendly and welcoming even with the uncertainty of the time.Loved staying here and will be back with the grandchildren ️

Beautiful view, laid back atmosphere. Service was excellent. All three of our steaks came out well done, we ordered medium rare. They fixed it right away, so giving four stars for that and the service. Greg was a fantastic waiter.

Friendly staff and great location. Bathroom was recently redone in our room but the rest of the room showed a bit of age and was small. The gym is a joke and breakfast is very continental.

Of all the trips the family and I took this summer - this one was our favorite, hands down. The ocean view room is killer! To open the slider and chill on the porch with a glass of wine while listening to the waves crash just below you is something special. The staff is top notch - always gracious and courteous - willing to go above and beyond in the name of guest satisfaction. The beach attendant is a real nice touch and went out of his way to be helpful. Cant wait to get back there!

Friendly staff and decent rooms. Definitely book ocean view if possible. My room was clean but felt a little run down and the shower drain was clogged. Continental breakfast was included and had make your own pancakes and waffles and a Starbucks coffee machine. Very close to the water with walk down path to the beach.

I dont have the words to say how amazing this place is. Its nice and secluded but right down the street from everything at the same time. Get an ocean fron room and sleep to the sound of waves all day and night along with the seagulls. I have no felt this rejuvenated in a while. Will definitely be coming back. With every penny.

Nice size suite with beautiful views! Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Lots of steps to the beach, so be prepared no elevators!

Check in: Great, the front desk girl was courteous, welcoming and friendly.Check out: unfortunately, I could not say the same about the guy who checked us out. He lacked total hotel etiquette. We walked in and he just gave us a look as if we didnt belong there. I said hello once and then good morning as I was walking up and no response. No greeting or how could I help you. I said Im here to check out. He checked us out without much of a single word other than to confirm my last name. Didnt ask how was your stay, a thank you or hoped you enjoyed your stay or come back again. He just handed me my receipt and an envelope. I was dumbfounded as I had thought I was not in Laguna. We went to grab some coffee before heading out and as we walked out my sister says, have a god day. All he did was nodded.Hotel: very cute, quaint, quiet and clean. Breakfast options are your typical continental breakfast. Starbucks coffee is offered there. View of the ocean is great. Love the huge patio area on the top floor to be able to see the ocean.Parking: they have their own lot and it was secure.Hotel room: it was decent, but the beds were not comfortable at all.Location: its good as it is close by to a couple of great restaurants and bars; the Rooftop and Mozambique.

This Hotel failed to confirm the identity of the person who paid with my credit card. They chard my card 4 times on the same day for a total of $2,403.92. I’ve called on two different days to get an explanation from someone and to get proof of who made these charges and they say they will call me back but they never do.

When I called the hotel, the staff was very friendly and answered all my questions before booking the room. I arrived and it was beautiful just like the pictures. You do have to wear a face mask to go in the office but that’s normal now. Once I got to our room, it was very nice nd updated. The marble flooring and in the shower is beautiful. I highly recommend to always travel with your own sheets during this time, just in case, so I was already prepared. The shower is huge and they have nice hot water. We went walking to downtown laguna and had Nicks restaurant, some bbq. Then came back to the hotel and sat outside on the deck and had dinner to watch the sunset . Sunday morning the beach had opened up 6am-10am so we walked the beach at 8am and got great pictures. Also the hotel pool is amazing too. I really enjoyed my stay, all my friends want to know where this hotel is located, I’m sharing with everyone. I have plenty of pictures to upload as well. Thank you Capri Laguna Hotel.

This was by far the worst hotel weve ever stayed at!! All my husband wanted was a view of the ocean for his birthday, I spent hours trying to find a hotel he would love. I chose Capri because of its ratings on Expedia, Yelp and Google. I chose Capri because it had the balcony, fireplace and view. I paid FULL price for this location and want to warn everyone that its NOT what it appears. Please, consider finding another hotel, spend a hundred more and go to Surf and Sands. I am so disappointed in this hotel and here are the reasons why:1. We found a spot to park in when we arrived and the maintenance guys literally wouldnt let us park there because he was saving it for someone else even though we were the only ones there. The other couple were still parked around the corner getting their suitcases out and next to the car was a spot open. But for some reason, he didnt want us there. So we parked in another spot and the same maintenance guy kept shaking his head no and saying you cant park there. And I promise you, it was a vacant, free visitor parking spot. He asked us to move again, AGAIN to their OTHER parking lot and walk to the hotel. Dont get me wrong, it wasnt far but wow, good first impression.2. The guy at the front desk told us the wrong direction to our hotel room. This wouldnt be that big of a deal but we had walked about 4 flights of stairs with our luggage to find out by the cleaning ladies (who were super nice btw) that we werent even near our room. Up 4 flights again and down another 5.2. The room smelled and had caked on dust everywhere. I felt like we were given a room they save for those that book on other websites. We used Expedia for the rewards, its not like I didnt pay full price! If this is what all the rooms look like, DAMMM.. lol I am not picky by any means, for real... so when I say it was gross, its GROSS. lol I put towels down on the floors cause I was grossed out on how dirty they were.3. When I tried callng the front desk, the phone handle didnt work... so we had to use speaker which you cant really hear out of.4. I can get past everything else, even the dusty air, knowing its the beach! lol But, the room itself was terrible. The sheets had those little balls that were rough to sleep on, so, we slept ABOVE the blankets and put our tshirts over the pillowcases because you could tell how old they were. When my husband sat down on the bed, a dust cloud went all over me and the room. LOL... it was bad.5. The dresser drawers were open when we came into the room, and they literally wouldnt say closed no matter how many times you shut them. That was annoying since its infront of the walkway.6. While the fridge stayed icy cold, the front of it was stained. The sink w wasnt even attached to the counter, the sink wasnt even attached to the counter, when I tried to wash some cups the water backed up in seconds and took an hour to drain, the toilet was loose- so you had to sit down slowly LOL7. Every corner was dirty with dust and hair. We kept our sandals on at all times and refused to use the shower. The towel rack and toilet paper holder were loose and rotted.8. THE WORST: The ac unit was a joke!!! It was one of the portable kinds that they took a knife and cut a hole out of the wall for but the tubing was too far from the bed so you couldnt feel it. You couldnt really sit in the room without it getting foggy and humid. Couldnt leave the slider open cause there was no screen. If you kept it shut you couldnt see the view cause the glass was fogged up from the AC. Totally waste of time!We didnt even stay the night! PLS dont waste your money! When I tell you, its not worth it, its NOT. Ive stayed at Motel 6s that were better than this.

Good service, rooms, and great beach location. We came in unannounced and the counter staff was great. Worked with us and showed us rooms to find us the right one for us. It is definitely and older building and they have done a pretty good job maintaining with some recent updates. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. For some reason though the bed frame is bigger than the bed so it hangs out so I smacked my toe. You will see in my pic.

Perfect beachfront property! This was our first stay and we will definitely be returning. The views are stunning, the location is perfect, and the rooms are comfy and spacious. It is low key and quiet and perfect for all ages. We stayed in the double king suite with the full kitchen (room 731) and it was amazing!! It is within walking distance to just about everything and the beach that it sits on is perfect for kiddos. The breakfast consisted of pancakes, waffles, apples, bananas, an assortment of pastries, cold cereal, hard-boiled eggs, and instant oatmeal. There is a Starbucks machine that brews coffee and hot cocoa all day. The staff is very friendly and housekeeping comes daily.

Stayed at the Capri on Valentines weekend and was our first time there. The room was very clean and nice, simple design. The view from our ocean front room was wonderful! The front desk staff were amazing specially Bachir and Nick.

The rooms are good, not great, but good. Its great that they have parking. Staff is SUPER nice! The view --- my pic should speak for itself (taken from the 2nd level patio above the pool; no zoom; no filter). Will definitely be back.

Anybody know about this blue light on top of the shower room? please let me know.Room #742 looks like basement, when l open the curtain I can see the wheel of the car.When I turn on the heater smell so bad I couldnt breathe.One light on the ceiling was blinking.The old peoples chair in the shower.The refrigerator door got rust.I was not happy with this hotel room.Breakfast room was too small my backpack hit the trashcan on the table, I said sorry to staff, they ignore me. I was not happy with the service either.

We stayed here for a couple of nights after our wedding and I paid extra for the Ocean view room. It wasnt the romantic hotel experience I was hoping for to celebrate our wedding.We were given room 404. To my disappointment, the room was incredibly small. It was made even smaller with the presence of a freestanding ac unit in the corner of the room. And that ocean view is exactly that, an ocean view. If you want to see a sliver of the sand, you will have to pay even more for a beach view room.The location is within walking distance of plenty of eateries, beaches, and Ralphs (isnt all of Laguna Beach within walking distance though?), so it was nice to be able to pretty much go anywhere on foot.The hotel beachfront itself was a little lackluster as well. On the plus side, breakfast was included and we took advantage of that. I also left a pair of expensive shoes there and the hotel staff sent it to me on my FedEx account, so that was nice of them.

Very quaint, and on-the-beach property will whisk you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and take you to a meditative state of mind. If you love sleeping to the sound of the crashing waves literally underneath your feet, you found a gold mine in this little gem in the OC!

Being our first family vacation since having our little one we wanted to find a place that would be memorable. Capri Laguna was more than we could of hoped for. Our room #201 overlooked the beach and ocean and had amazing sunsets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We even swam in the pool once. The main attraction being the ocean literally just down a flight of stairs. We will certainly be returning when we are in Laguna again.

This boutique hotel on the beach is amazing. Bashir, the assistant general manager was so helpful and accomadating. The room is great. 2 comfortable king size beds, a balcony with a view of the beach and a fireplace. 24 hour coffee bar in the lobby and complimentary breakfast including waffles. Heated pool, beach access and a deck with lounge chairs and tables all overlooking the ocean. Walking distance to the center of town. Directly across the street from Selanne Steak Tavern which has delicious food, drinks and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be coming to stay here again!

Good stay but we had awful neighbors on Saturday night. They got way loud slamming doors and somebody got locked out and was banging on door at 6 30 am sunday. The place could use some revamping and shows wear and tear. But all in all was a nice getaway and staff was very nice to us..

Great deal and a BEAUTIFUL view! Beach was GORGEOUS, and our room was amazing. I was blown away with everything about our stay. The staff was awesome and very nice, but I owe it all to Bashir. He really went above and beyond which helped make my husband’s birthday really special. We will definitely come back!!

Its all about the beach. This is a place that I will be returning to every year. Located on the beach, some rooms are directly overlooking the ocean with unobstructed views. Many more have peekaboo views. Their Friday night wine and apps was held on their deck making for an amazing sunset view. Did I mention the extended continental breakfast? Literally, you will not be disappointed. The manager and staff on duty were extremely receptive and welcoming. Love the free parking and it is close to shops and an easy walk to Main Beach and more shopping and galleries. Enjoy!

Beautiful European style resort on the cliffs of Laguna Beach. Impeccable views and friendly staff will have me coming back to the Capri next time I return to Laguna Beach.

Walls are really thin ... Hopefully you dont have your family there with a newlywed couple or things get awkward really quick.

We had a fantastic time at the Capri Laguna Beach. You can not beat the views on the hotel deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. More so, the place is cozy and the general manager Nick Politis will do anything he can to make your stay the most pleasant experience. We stayed in one of the ocean front rooms and it was one of the most naturally relaxing experiences we have ever had, with the sound of the gushing waves as a constant background. Loved it, will do it again as soon as we can !

Gorgeous views, right on the beach. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Good complimentary breakfast. Chairs and umbrellas available on request, set up for you. And warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby every weekday!

Lots of stairs unless you are beachfront. Place was clean staff very friendly and helpful. Pool is in front of front desk, kind of motel style. Beach is nice, wasnt crowded when we were there

We travelled a long way to stay at this lovely beach resort. The manager, Nick, gave us a beautiful room and sent us flowers. This hotel has a wonderful beach vibe and a wonderful staff.

Don’t believe the online hype. Great physical location but They need to renovate the place. We got into our room and felt like we were staying in someone’s dirty apartment. Old school dirty furniture. We were not even comfortable to stay one night, we just left.

Location was amazing as Laguna beach is one of my favorite places on Earth. The staff was friendly, courteous and wonderful. We had an ocean front room. We walked down some flights of stairs to a private area of the beach. They have great rooms and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept on (I am almost 5 months pregnant) and I slept through the whole night. We will definitely visit again.
