My neighbors were talking about this lake so I took my daughter it was nice to cool off. You can’t see the bottom of the lake when you’re swimming which freaks me out. There were bathrooms and grassy parts. No place for sand castles but the water was cool not freezing like the ocean though. There’s a volleyball court. What I did love honestly was there was moms all sizes in their swimsuits. Kids were swimming on floats, rafts, it really was nice. I would bring a blanket to sit on and a cooler. There is no lifeguard. This is 100% free too. This lake is a nice hidden gem. Also there was a police officer that would walk around which was nice

Great place to take young kids to swim. If the beach was sand I would give it 5 stars, but it is gravel which is not quite the same experience. All the same a great local place to get some sun and enjoy the water.

My kids just love going and swimming. It is one of the few public non paying places that they can go, swim and have fun. LOVE IT

This is a great place has free life vests, kayak rentals for a few, and life guards most of the time. But can fill up fast because it is small. Big trun around for large vehicles

Very cool for the kids. Dogs arent supposed to be in the water. Handicap parking. Somewhat steep hill for manual wheelchairs.. But it can be done.

Beautiful, safe and fun. There are bathrooms, concessions, police on duty and a lifeguard. Only bummer is theres no dock or anything for the kids to jump off of.

Very nice for kids and family. Dont have to worry about not being protected. Yesterday we show up and there is 4 cop cars in one little lake scaring every body. Flashing there lights at cars but wouldnt pull over anyone.

Great water temperature for a swim and pleasant place to hang out because you can find sun or shade. Sad that the dock was removed in the last few years and there are no longer lifeguards. Instead, there are roped sections. Theres some floating plant debris in the shallower area & it gets crowded after about 1:30 (even on a weekday!), but the two sand volleyball courts are well kept & shady in the late afternoon. Five stars cuz nothings perfect, but its pretty darn nice.

The dock is gone but the lake seems more family friendly now that the police have started having more of a presence here. Last year there were far more people smoking weed and sneaking alcohol around the park. From what I saw during our recent visit it was much improved.4 stars because the bathrooms reek like a porta-potty.

Usually a lot of people when its nice out but a pretty clean park nice dock on the water front clean bathrooms and nice green grass to sit on in the sun!

I biked around the entire lake looking for access and this is the only spot thats public. Its okay. Not many people so thats nice. Kind of a small spot, but the entire lake is full of houses taking ownership. Nice living I could imagine!

It was clean and super fun. Water was a good temperature. Lots of grass area to sit on.

It wasnt the sunnyest day, but it was still warm. The park is small, but beautiful and clean! I would of have it 5stars, but the police officer that was there our whole 3hrs killed all the patrons vibes. Everyone there was social distancing, and there was never more than 20ppl. A bit obsessive. Otherwise it was s great family outting

Water is warm. There is always an officer to watch over and people dont touch your stuff

Nice people, safe park, but bring back the docks

So picturesque! I felt lucky to even drive by this park behind it was so beautiful. The air suddenly became cool and crisp, as if the hot muggy air couldnt descend into this valley at all. Theres plenty of shade and the water is so clean. I wasnt there long, but I got the sense that local people really take good care of their community.

Long Lake has been cleaned up. The docks are gone and there is a police presence. The results? Cleaner. Safer. More fun for families. Go enjoy!

Small, pea gravel beach park on a little lake in Olympia residential neighborhood. Quiet setting and a clean northwest lake. Mostly grassy area park on a gently sloping hill. Great for calm lake paddling.

Kids love it here. Good swimming area and dock for different leveled swimmers. Lifeguards and lifejackets in summer. LOTS of teens, so there will probably be some drama from time to time. But overall a good little park for swimming.

A place not very many people. Even in Olympia know about. Took a couple of hours to find on the bus. IT was worth it. And I am impressed. On my 51st birthday

Lifeguards on site! I love this!! Designated areas for more advanced swimmers- if you are younger you have to pass a swimming test to be allowed in the deeper end.I loved having the lifeguards on site especially since I have 4 small children. My son was starting to lose his strength and without skipping a beat that girl blew her whistle and was on top of it. Man, I thought I was fast.Definitely recommend. Lots of grassy area to have a picnic or sandy beach to hang out and catch some sun.

Very nice place!! If you are not used on being bare foot, you have to wear sandals or something alike for being arround in or out the water. The shore and the lake are covered by peables

Restricted swimming area was a lil small for Adults, and definitely not enough area for the amount of people there. But otherwise a nice little spot.

This is a little gem. Great beach with a life guard. Life jackets are also available. Water is great temperature for swimming in the summer. Apparently there is good fishing too. Friend caught a large bass while we were there.

First time here. The water is so clean and the view is absolutely stunning. There is a lot of parking and its free. There is a very large area of lush green grass to throw a towel or picnic blanket down. I like that the water is divided into shallow and deep and the dock is a nice feature for the older kids. Minus one star because there is no sand here, just rocks.

Bathrooms disgusting, beach is pebbles, hard to walk on. Bring wet sandals. Super populated. Teen hang out. Sun stops shining on beach gradually from 5 ish onwards. View of lake with lots of boaters. Water really cold.

I wasnt there 5 days ago!! I was no where near Lacey. A bit concerning!

They did something to the water, its 100 times less murky then before! The city had gone overboard on safety and reduced the swimming area greatly... Swimming after 7pm (when lifeguards leave) is the best time for adult swimming.. They have also added paddle board rentals, which is cool if you got the dough.

I had a good time here the only thing I wish they still had was the dock everybody seemed to enjoy that a lot!

Good recreation area: swimming, sand volleyball. You can borrow a life vest for free.

There is a dock that you can swim, many shaded area by trees, & many grill places. I like it.

Loaded with Smallmouth, Bluegoll and Perch. Havent tried for Trout. Weedy in some areas but not excessively. Boat ramp gets a little tight with swimmers, people fishing from shore, etc but you wont be dissapointed regardless of your activity.

Clean lake with adequate space for swimming and play. Large grassy lawn was clean without sticker weeds. Plenty of trash cans. Rock shore was a bit painful on my sensitive feet. Roped off area for small swimmers. Lovely views. Plenty of play space. Ill be going back.

As of August 31, 2018 and some before, toxic algae may be present. I saw these signs and caution tape around the beach today. Other non lake services inside the park such as volleyball should not be affected. -A NeighborEdit: Was there yesterday (May 26, 2019). No caution tape, signs, or algae mats visible. (Did I not upload the pictures from before!?)

This place is okay. It’s a pretty small park but there is grass and a small swimming area. Parking is minimal, so is seating in grassy area. There are volleyball areas too. In the summer, when school is out, the place is overrun with teenagers. Not a bad family place but be aware people get away with drinking and smoking weed in the grassy area in front of the water. Maybe just aim to go first thing in the morning, at least avoid the crowds. Notably most lake goers are friendly and laid back.

Im incredibly disappointed in the lifeguards here. One girl kept yelling at my son (who is 6) to get off/away from the floating divider....when he wasnt even near it. We werent allowed to bring a tiny kids innertube....but others had small air mattresses that would have equally caused an obstruction of view. I was told I couldnt go swimming outside the boundary....yet others were. What the heck??

Awesome place to go fishing. Really cool place for the kids to swim and play. Watching the Eagles fly right over your head. Beautiful!!!

I miss the dock. The only thing that saves this place as somewhere I might want to go to still is the paddle board and kayak rental.

Lifeguards are no longer provided. No life vests to borrow. No supervision makes it a free for all environment. Loud music (inappropriate for all ages).Dogs on the grass although it seems like owners are picking up the poop. Awnings are now being used by some when they were previously banned. Still relatively enjoyable.
