A great park and spectacular overlook of the city and surrounding river valley. In addition to the scenic overlook, there are several signs that describe the history of the area along with historic photographs. The bluff edge has modern fences and solid railings, so the entire area is suitable for children and older adults. There is a parking lot near the bluff overlook area and a wide paved walkway from the parking lot. There are also restrooms and a small shelter building.

This was an amazing experience. I walked up the hill (about a mile distance.. dunno how much elevation gain). Took me about 45 mins to make it to the top but it was absolutely worth the view. On a good day you can see all of Lacrosse, WI, the Mississippi River, Minnesota, and even parts of Iowa. Well worth the hike but there is also plenty of parking for people wanting to drive. Has clean bathrooms at the top.

The view from the top of the 600 bluff is incredible! Especially when paired with the ease of access, its only a few minutes away from the downtown area. I love to hike but being able to drive to the top allowed me to share views that I normally only find on a hike with my entire family. Theres a few other smaller outlooks on the way up you could stop at if you want more solitude. There were quite a few people at the top, but the lookout area is well laid out and offers a ton of different vantage points.

Absolutely beautiful views of La Crosse, Minnesota bluffs and the Mississippi. Very steep road climb on Bliss road but worth the trip. Many places to stop for panoramic views. Parking may be tight at times, but be patient, people are always coming and going, take your time.

Worth the drive to the top of the bluff! Parking is limited (~15 spots) so plan accordingly during peak hours. Public bathroom facilities available too. Bring quarters if you want to use the coin operated binoculars

Beautiful view overlooking Lacrosse. Winding road to get there was cool. Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that it was raining. Ill definitely go back on a nicer day.

The park and grounds have been redone recently and it is very nice and clean. The new path partway down the bluff its very nice as well. My only complaint is that the binoculars cost money to use.

It is such a cool place to view! Lovely view but as i didnt know was the trails their you cant go down because it is illegal cause you might fall off..whoops i went down there and didnt know at the time but it was a beautiful sight!

Great views worth the drive!

Really cool park! What a view! I think we were a little early for the peak fall colors but it was still very pretty. Sunsets must look incredible up there. The road leading to the park was a fun drive - lots of twists and turns.

The hike was gorgeous! The views were beautiful and we were the only ones up there.

We love going here. We take our friends and family from out of town. It is gorgeous during the day, but I find it most breathtaking at night. Dont be shocked by someone free climbing but I strongly suggest NOT doing this. A must do if you are in La Crosse.

This is the greatest park on the bluff in all of Lacrosse. If you are thirsty there is a cozy tavern at the entrance and another at the bottom of the hill.

Its Beautiful up there. You can see a lot of the town and Many more to look at. Like Minnesota. Its just a great place to visit.

Great spot to take in some beautiful views. I took a little drive to clear my head and ended up here. The fall colors are stunning. Definitely worth a stop!

If youre in La Crosse, WI you just visit Grandad Bluff. Its beautiful up there.

Great view, nice updated amenities. The kids and I enjoyed watching the birds of prey soaring overhead riding the updraft. We also enjoyed watching the train pass by and counting the cars. It looked like a model from this perspective.

Beautiful winding drive upwards to the top, with spectacular views of the city. A must see! (And in true Wisconsin tradition, a bar, lol) all well maintained, and strong fences up for safety.Only downsides were the swarms of gnats and the bathrooms were locked, which cut our time there short. Otherwise it was definitely worth going.

Beautiful scenery! Such a peaceful place. You can drive up with very little walking or park down the bluff and walk if you wish.

I visit here with family and friends every time we make a trip to La Crosse. Such a beautiful view of the whole town. Its a very uphill drive, and a slight uphill walk, but if you and your vehicle are up for it, its so worth it!

Gorgeous place for a dusk time stroll or sightseeing with the kids. They have a pavilion that is great to sit and relax and take in the scenery. Watch the traffic though it can get pretty busy up there.

This park is well done. There are some historical markers and the pavilions are very nice. The road to the top is twisty and fun. The view from the top is fantastic. It was cloudy on the day we were there and it was still beautiful.

A neat place to visit if you happen to be in La Crosse. The park has paved parking and trails that lead to the overlook from where almost the entire city can be seen. This park has clean bathroooms a covered area wirh two fireplaces and plenty of binoculars to enjoy the view of the city and the Mississippi River.

I wasnt expecting all that natural beauty from this place. Its truly mesmerizing

This was a neat place to visit! It was hard to find, as we didnt really see signs to point us in the right direction. One big downfall is the restrooms were locked up. Different people were trying to use these but you couldnt. Views were great though.

This is a must see! Love the view and the history. The pavilion and fireplaces are so inviting.. we really enjoyed the NYE fireworks too.

Simply amazing the overview, if you go to Mirack or other places depicting this. The community could stand a huge gain as to utilize all 5 bluffs rather than just one because of the rich rewards of the community growth on it rather than the rich people getting in the way living there. But offers an breathtaking opportunity to seen in Wisconsin as a small window for those who want to visit the area.

What a beautiful view of the Mississippi from a historical overlook. Pretty easy to get to and handicapped accessible. If youre on a drive down the Valley, this a place worth stopping for.
