Went through the through the looking glass room. Absolutely loved it. Great puzzles. Friendly helpful staff. And they were able to show us more fun places around town

Exit realty had a Christmas party at the escape rooms. No one had ever did this before and had no idea what to do.We had split into 2 teams,and we loved it. After the first 5 minutes of just standing in the room in total understanding that we had no idea what to do. The first clue came on the screen and then it was a group effort to figure out the clues that lead to another clue to another clue and different room. We cant wait to do it again.

Played 3 games back to back. Loved it. Fun games, friendly staff. Will be back!

We had 14 people in our group and divided up into two rooms. Everyone had a blast!! The staff was extremely nice and exceedingly helpful!! The rooms were interesting, challenging, and fun. At the same time, the staff helped to make the entire day more enjoyable. The Great Escape of La Crosse is great fun. If you are looking for a fabulous time, look no further!

Great escape room, your room monitor always makes sure youre not struggling to the point where its no longer fun and puzzles in our room where just hard enough to keep you on your toes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of a challenge and a fun time.

The game was awesome. She was very positive and enthusiastic about informing us about how the game is played and giving us a very subtle nudge (not a clue) when we were off track. The entire hour trapped in a room felt very purposeful. Unlike other escape rooms where its packed with many red herrings. the Great Escape of Lacrosse puzzles had us on track with completing the game. Worth the money and time spent. Look forward to future games with them.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. It was very fun! Definitely out of the ordinary since it didnt seem to have a very good flow to all the different passcodes and locks, but none-the-less, it was an awesome experience. It was worth the money to go. :)

We brought our wedding party to escape from Area 51 and we had a blast!! It was challenging, but if we were off track, wed receive a gentle nudge that still forced you to think so it was still rewarding when you progressed. We were slacking toward the end and we noticed a little extra time was added to the clock allowing us to finish, which was very appreciated. The Great Escape is a great place to take a group!

Every room brings new puzzles with just the right twist to keep you off balance but excited at the same time. Always fresh ideas and amazing ways to stay with the rooms theme without letting you guess whats going to be next. The game masters are superb in giving hints that still make you figure each thing out so the satisfaction is glorious!

Had a blast! Owner was very helpful, great for a group of people who want to try something different, lots of room options and a great brain teaser!

Granted, this was my first escape room, but the sense of humor exhibited by the host, the graciousness of the staff, and the great good fun we had in the Mad Hatter room made for a thoroughly enjoy able afternoon. They pay attention to nuances and detail here, which means the experience we had in the room was rich and challenging. Great good fun, and I hope we qualify for FPS Internationals again next year, so we can do another room.

The staff was extremely professional, the atmosphere was great, and for our first escape room couldnt have asked for more. Even if we wouldnt have made it out within the hour, we all still greatly enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend a visit and try to escape any of the rooms available!

This was such a unique family experience! We took our 3 young children to the Mad Hatter Room. It was challenging, engaging, and fun. My husband called it a true escape! You are living fully in the moment with your family / friends, for 1 hour...and that is super special! The owner/staff were very friendly, both over the phone and in person! We will certainly be back!

Great time! Had a group of 16 that were split up into three rooms. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the employees were very friendly.

We had a mix of adults and children and did the Mad Hatter room. It was a pefperf amount of challenge, and everyone from kids to adults chipped in to our success. We solved the room with a scant 2 minutes remaining. It was a very creative and cool experience. The owner was very personable, and the entire experience was exactly what we were hoping for. I cant recommend enough. Outstanding.

I took a small group of high school students down to La Crosse and this was the highlight of their trip! Toby did a wonderful job of keeping us moving while at the same time letting us sweat it out. We did the Area 51 room and it was by far the most fun and interesting room Ive done. Ill definitely bring another group here next year to do it again!!

So fun! This was my first time doing an escape room. We did it as a team building/outing for work and we all really enjoyed it. The owner was very enthusiastic, explained the rules well, and was a great tour guide! I will be recommending to family & friends and hope to come try the other rooms in the future.

Our experience was amazing! Our game master was fun and energetic. We did the CSI room and it was a lot of fun with four people! A group this size is perfect because you have many different opinions and a lot of help but there arent so many that it becomes overwhelming. I could not see this working for a group of 7 or 8. Overall, it was very coordinated and organized and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing! We had a blast! It was most fun thing we did in La Crosse while on vacation. The staff and owner are super friendly. The rooms are very well designed. The rooms have different difficulties so there is fun for all ages and they really get you thinking.

So much fun!!! My boyfriend and I loved the Mad Hatter room! Just the two of us! 2-8 people is all you need to have an awesome time! Ive done several escape rooms around the area, and the Great Escape of La Crosse is my favorite. The owner is great, and the rooms are the most creative Ive done. They have really good game masters as well, which can make or break a room. My only complaint is they dont have more rooms since we go through them so quickly!

Been here a few times and every room we have played has been so well thought out! Everything makes since and yet challenging. Highly recommend this spot over ANY other spots in La Crosse!Played a game at totally different place and walked away totally unimpressed and really confused as to how things worked together. My son and I had no idea what to expect and had never done this before. They nudged us in the right direction with hints allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the experience. Ive played over 15 rooms in several states. This location and especially the new Espionage, A Candy Conspiracy room is phenomenal. It is enormously better than the other locations in La Crosse. The rooms here are very creative and unlike any I have played in big cities. The technology and the mechanics in the rooms create a unique experience. The new candy room is a must play and the top room I have played anywhere. There are so many cool and unique mechanics involved. If you are a Willy Wonka or Dr. Who fan, then you will go crazy!!

We had such a great time trying to find our way out of the room. Its definitely worth it! Owner and staff was incredibly friendly. We cant wait to come back and try out more rooms!

Top notch. Owner is quite passionate about the industry and the trade, which appears in the effort put into each room. Thankfully, the rooms here are Private, meaning, you wont have to be pushed together with random people.

My wife and I and four friends came and had a blast. The rooms are themed (in our case, we attempted to rob a bank). While playing, they dedicate one staffer to watch you on CCTV to provide nudges in the right direction, which is a great way to keep your group having fun and making progress.While the puzzles are obviously contrived (this bank was clearly less interested in protecting their money than entertaining their clientele), none of them were exceptionally out of place, and they almost all had answers that felt like they made sense.My wife is not one who enjoys puzzles or thinking, and felt like she didnt do anything, but she also had a great time and wants to go back.Great place, great experience, and the staff was always polite and courteous.

Our friends and us had a great time in the CSI room! The staff is fun and friendly and they provide a great experience! Wed love to rush back and do more but we dont want to do all of them too soon or we wont have something fun to look forward to in the future! Highly recommend trying one of the rooms here before going anywhere else!

A small, new business that was very friendly and made sure we had a good time. Me and some friends came for a weekend 1/2 off special and tried the Bank Robbery room. It was probably one of the best ways to spend an hour in La Crosse!

Ive been to a total of 5 different escape room themed businesses in several different states totaling 14 rooms all together. So far I have noticed that most rooms either focus on the room itself, in terms of props, theme, immersion, etc, or the challenge in terms of solving the puzzles. The really great rooms do BOTH! The Great Escape of La Crosse is the ONLY business that I have been to that provides rooms that are totally immersive, challenging, and fun! All of their rooms provide great unique experiences and game play. Adding to the experience, is the staff. The staff are friendly, energetic, and very accommodating. When it comes to escape rooms, you cant miss with The Great Esacpe of La Crosse!

We did the CSI escape room as part of our family Staycation. My 13,14, and 15 year old had a blast and worked together really well (made this momma proud). My husband and I joked that they should have gotten t-shirts that say, I escaped despite my mom and dad! It is obvious that the owner of this establishment takes great joy and pride in creating the best escape rooms in town. We are now The Great Escape addicts and will definitely be returning to complete the rest of the rooms! This 60 minutes locked in a room as a family was the most fun weve had all together in a long time!, And yes... We did escape!

This is the most fun Ive had in a long time! I went with four co-workers and we had a fantastic time trying to get out of the Mad-hatters room. We couldnt stop smiling and laughing. I would highly recommend TGE for work groups, family get-togethers, birthday parties, and date nights. You wont be disappointed.

Terrible experience. Owner refused to take us as we already had a reservation. Worst experience. Owner was extremely rude! Wouldnt even admit that he scheduled us on the wrong date and blamed it on us. Wouldnt even give us our money back either. I wonder what the better business bureau would think about that...

It was our 2nd escape room. We were out celebrating my birthday. As usual, the staff is super friendly and entertaining. The directions given before hand are necessary but take way too long. The rooms are very challenging and it is so much fun!!! This time around it was not as great of an experience, however. There were a couple of things that were either not set up correctly or wouldnt work properly even though we had the right code. They tried to make up for it by having us skip that obstacle and then added 5 minutes onto our time, but I feel that was insuffiecient. We spent more than 5 min looking for an object that was supposed to be there, but wasnt. It was the most difficult room and I feel like there was a good chance we would have run out of time anyway, but dont feel like we had a good chance at it. They did let us finish and get our way out of the room after the timer was up, so that was nice that we could actually complete it. Either way, we had a lot of fun and we will likely return some other day to try our luck again at a different room. Just hope everything is set up correctly next time. I would recommend the Great Escape to anyone of all ages! !
