A nice little park by the river. Room to play fetch in the grass with your dog and a nice playground for children to play on. The park features nice views of the marina on the other side of the river and is within walking distance of several AirBNBs.
A great place on the river in Knoxville. What more could you ask for than to take your family and enjoy lunch.
Amazing park! Clean and well kept. The restrooms were open and were also extremely clean. I took my Rollerblades for a mid-morning ride and will definitely be back!
Cute quaint little park, lots of areas to sit at a picnic table overlooking the river. Theres a large grassy area to just hang out in or have a group activity. Last night there was a good size group doing yoga. The walking trail circles back to the main walking trail. This park is walking distance from many of the cool little swanky bars and restaurants in the S. Knox river area.
Great place near river to play with kids. Great atmosphere, park and facilities.
Very clean and well tended park on the river. A fantastic play area for kids and a kayak launch that is handicap accessible. Well lit at night with a great mix of people. Plenty of bench seating and picnic table areas.
First time there ..we had a great time here and looking around
Clean, fun, safe, great for picnics or just a playdate.
Beautiful views and lit up at night
Needed to use the restroom and get a drink if water, after a kayak trip. Got neither due to covid precautions. Nice park though.
Good park. Lots of bugs though
Why is the bathroom so far away from the playground? Whoever designed this park obviously doesn’t have kids.
Very nice park along the river. Lots of picnic tables and benches. Large playground for kids. Lots of lights line the walkway. Very safe and easily accessible. Perfect for evening walks along the river.
Great park for senior dogs - wide, paved, easy walk space. Nice to view the downtown-side of the river for a change. New, appealing playground and large flat space to kick a ball around or toss a frisbee.Dog poop bags and trash cans are provided. Owners need to be responsible and clean up after their pups, however. Lots of dog poop along the walkway...
Wonderful peaceful big area but private
Clean, and very nice place for out side activities
This is a nice quiet place, it would be a great place to have a family reunion or have a picnic date.
Lovely park on the Tennessee River. NO shade trees over the metal tables and benches.
Good place for small walk.
Its a nice but small park with good views of the river and based on location it doesnt typically have seedy people here. Good to visit and walk along the river.
So clean....kid and pet friendly too.
A great gem of a park for South Knoxville
Beautiful new park along river
Beautiful views, peaceful, great walking path, always clean
Wish there was more shade. The playground is a favorite of my kids and its fun to do on a Sunday afternoon by the river. But there is nowhere to cool off. However if the city invested in something a splash pad would make this park jump from a 3 star to a 5!
Beautiful park overlooking the river. Take the family, a picnic, and enjoy the day.
A nice downtown Riverfront Park and Greenway
Very quiet and beautiful scenery
Nice park but once again Knoxville has built a park with no shade. Its like the people who build them live up north and dont realize what Tennessee in summer is like. Fun playground though and nice place for young kids to ride a bike.
I absolutely love it there ️ growing that might be good or bad have to wait and see.I had family all the way from ga visit and they loved it.
Such a clean and beautiful park. Easy access to the river and plenty of parking
Great green space and nice playground!
We came here to do an obedience class. I didnt even know there was a park there. Its well kept up and we had a great time.
Very nice and peaceful. Playground is mostly for younger kids. Older kids may not find it as fun.
Great place to walk your dog, or go for a run.
Really awesome walkway, well lit at night time and the playground was awesome with a bouncy rubber floor for the kids to run around on. Great job on craftsmanship and materials
Suttree Landing Park is a park on the south Knoxville waterfront. Its named after the the Cormac McCarthy book of the same name about a shiftless alcoholic who drinks his way across town, having many crude misadventures before Suttree has a psychotic break in the Smoky mountains and then moves to Michigan. Much like the book, the park is beautiful and unsettling, located as it is on a gorgeous stretch of river that is right next to a gas refinery. The refinery smells great all the time, and it was a stroke of genius to allow a gas plant on prime downtown waterfront property. Kudos, city planners of yore! Theres a fancy playground, a boat dock, and plenty of grassy areas for dogs to poop on. The area immediately adjacent to the park will soon be filled with townhouses, and those townhouses will soon thereafter be filled with people who will no doubt act like the park is theres and theres alone, so go now.
Clean, right by the river. Up to date play equipment. Kids loved it!
Beautiful Park Right on the Tennessee River. I would recommend Bringing any child from the Age of 2-12 here. You can also bring your childs bike the parent or babysitter can relax on the table and enjoy the view and the Sunshine while their children play.
It was clean and a fun little park along the water front.
Very pretty, and very clean
Peaceful and nice scenery
Great kayak launch area.
So glad to see they have CLEAN restrooms. Very nice place
Usually a really nice park but theyre currently doing construction there and there is a big ugly pipe all the way down the Waters edge. Rest of the park is still okay though, as long as you dont cross the road to the grass over there. Alcohol bottles everywhere over there. City doesnt seem to pick up there (or just as, if not more likely, the same people come back and trash it constantly)
Clean good atmosphere for the family
Great park for everyone, safe playground, nice walking area all around the playground, good area to play with your pets.Ive saw people doing yoga there.real nice view of the city. There are tables for picnics. Benchseats to seat on.Just a real nice park along the Tennessee River that everyone can enjoy. Some of the park is still under construction. It is opened to the public.Come out and play and have a great day
Great for knox area hard to find good parks
Its a great place to take the kids or taking a walk with your girlfriend or wife
We love walking the dogs early morning here. Thanks for having a clean restroom and having it open early.
Great place !!
Gorgeous views.. wish they had installed some swing sets though.
Anytime it has been raining, this is our park of choice. No mud, no mulch, no mess.
We live within walking distance and they added on a great dock to put in with jetskis and sups
Great place. Clean and safe...sort of. A little girl got her finger stuck in a bench on one of the tables. She was a little girl, and it was sad. Her mom ran to the car and got vaseline, whew.also there is some construction going on right now, maybe a dock or launch of some kind. Taught my son how to ride a bike there the first year it was open.
It is beautiful. BUT what a waste of tax payer money. I live walking distance. Is very rare to see anyone there.
Love taking my kid here.
Great little park along the Tennessee River. Multiple slides and play equipment, all on a great play surface!
The view is pretty but not many people visit this place.
Has potential to be more. Still a nice place to visit if you just want to see water and walk.
Its an excellent place to take the kids or hanging out with friends
Love it
Nice boardwalk/path to walk along the river. Nice playground if you have kids too. Wish the path went further and connected with the other half of the river.
Nice clean park my son had a blast
Great place to go walking clear thoughts
Very nice park for walking and riding bikes. Beautiful scenery right on the Tennessee River. Good amount of parking and nice playground. Great job Knoxville!
Beautiful park along the TN river. It is a wonderful place for kids to ride their bikes, walking a dog, or eating a picnic lunch. It has a playground for kids, a walking trail, picnic tables and benches.
Big fan of places like this and the growing Urban Wilderness
Loved the park. Wish the playground had a little more shade though
Nice area but city is behind on lawn maintenance
Its a great place to run or walk. They have great play ground for children. The only problem I have encountered is dogs, someone doesnt know how to take care of their dogs poop. Wish they would cut back some overgrown weeds as well.
Century Landing is still under construction however you can walk parts of it and you can tell right away it is going to be a great Park.
Lets get the hard negatives out of the way first: I sure hope that there are plans to install some permanent restrooms. Kids and porta-johns are no fun! Also, you are going to need to bring your own shade.Outside of that, this playground is pretty nifty. The equipment has a relatively wide age range, though bringing anyone under 18mo is probably going to mean you stay in the grass. As a bonus, kids can watch boats go by with little visual obstruction. As of 5-May-19, there is a broken river raft thing. Hopefully that gets fixed soon, but the actual raft portion is still pretty serviceable and rocks fine just sitting on the ground. The stump of metal where it was installed does look a bit like an accident waiting to happen
Noce little park for the kids. Definately needs an awning to keep the sun off the euipment. It gets too hot for kids to play on. Recomend first thing in the morning or the evening when its cooler.
Loved it, just kinda seemed like an odd location, could really use some kind of pedestrian path up to Gay Street or across the river.
Cant wait to try the new boat launch!
Recently remodeled and very clean and comfortable for taking the family
Gorgeous park. A lot of benches and tables and a lovely veiw of the riverfront. Knoxville doesnt seem to value its riverside so Suttree is a refreshing change in that regard. It has a nice playground area for kids with a soft ground surface material. Also the park has beautiful landscaping using native species, or so I was told.
Great trails!
Nice park. Kids love it
Some of it was under construction cant wait to go back when finished...
Cool park close to downtown
