Secretive, peaceful park in the middle of a rapidly developing tract home site.Enter from Solway Rd and make a brief climb to a parking area where the park consists of nothing more than two concrete picnic tables, surrounded by a Baptist church cemetery and small softball field. As you can clearly see from the photos Ive included, it is not a restaurant call my bar or fishing. With boat ramp. And sadly, like nearly every park or lakeside area in East TN, there is trash left by the inbreeders.

Not sure what the boat ramp or fishing pier in another review is referring to because this park is not adjacent to any lake, pond, or river. Its atop a little knoll between Solway Road and Pellissippi Parkway, nestled right next to a local cemetery and private homes. It has one cement park table with 2 benches and and another cement park table with only one bench to accommodate handicap visitors. It also has a rarely used baseball/softball diamond with back fencing & team dugouts and is maintained somewhat. Frequented by folks stopping and parking in its dozen or so spaces on its hilltop to have themselves a little private, quiet break or lunch.

Solway Park in Knoxville is a hidden treasure, even the permanent sign cannot be seen while driving on Solway Rd. Quiet green zone ideal for lunch break or sweetly romantic picnic. There is an old graveyard within the park so be respectful while enjoying the venue.
