Great cocktails and spirits by local craftsman. I had seen their products served in several locations around Knoxville so I had to visit and get a few bottles to take home. Small and intimate atmosphere. I spoke to one of the owners who told me about their humble beginnings and the creative process that brought Post Modern into being. Im happy to support these folks and I hope more people do too! You wont be disappointed!

Awesome local distiller, their Spanish Gin drink was well worth the extra cost. Loved the herbs. We got the elderberry Gin mixed drink which wasnt as good. Ended up buying a bottle of their Uproot Gin, you can taste the hints of Szechuan peppercorn. Also bought the Jack Rudy Tonic Syrup but have not been very impressed with it.Definitely hit this place up!

Service is phenomenal, product is great. They let you try before you buy too, so that review that starts with Bought one of the “bottled cocktails” to go ... is more of that reviewers fault for not trying it first. I have always been asked Do you want to try that first... before Ive purchased something. Ive been going here for about a year now, so its not even a new thing they do.The servers all know me (and my dog) by name at this point, they have always been super friendly and if they have something new they think Ill like, theyre quick with the recommendation.

Super unique take on cocktails. I always enjoy coming here because their cocktails are well crafted and their liquor is of good quality. They are constantly changing the menu and making new creations - super passionate about their work and it shows! Can’t get high end original cocktails like such anywhere else in Knoxville!

Bought one of the “bottled cocktails” to go and I’ll be honest, it tasted absolutely nothing like the old fashioned it was advertised as. I’m guessing this is just a way to sell something deemed “convenient for home” due to corona, and hastily thrown together. Ended up dumping it out instead. Really wish I would have just saved my money and bought some better quality whiskey and made my own simple.Lesson learned.They do have some really cool colored chairs on their patio, which were nice to look at- As far as the “bottled cocktails” go, this ain’t it chief.

Was a quick stop while waiting for our ride! We were quickly greeted and were given our drinks even quicker! Very welcoming experience (even with a hungry baby!) and will be back!

They used to have a lavender drink my girlfriend really loves! Cant wait for them to bring that back in another season.Went there with my girlfriend this past weekend and the two female bartenders are awesome! Very friendly, very knowledgeable about their drinks and chill to talk to.I would definitely recommend checking this place out and we will be back!

Absolutely amazing cocktails and mixed drinks. Tons of different variations of gin, vodka, and other liquors. Fantastic servers helped us explain flavors and tastes so well with the different types of liquor and spices that come out of their drinks. Great experience not very large area but it was quick and delicious drinks on a Friday night.

In the summertime, get whatever slushy theyre offering. So good.

Sampled several whiskeys. They were really friendly and the Whiskey and Gin are both great.

We were put in contact with Ron and Stanton of Post Modern Spirits to help us create signature drinks within our drink budget for our wedding back in December. They set up a fabulous drink tasting for us and had their extremely knowledgeable bartender come up with multiple options for us to choose from. The specialty beverages were a big hit. We only had about a gallon of each left over. Next time we have a date night, definitely stopping in at Post Modern. :)

Drinks are so great, and the service is excellent, too! We took my mother when she came to visit and they were so kind to make her an N/A drink that was so much more fun than just a fountain soda. We love coming to see what new drinks they’ve dreamed up.

The owner took the time to give us a fun tour, sharing the history and science of the distillery and answered our many questions. The staff was very friendly. Many of the products they offered were wonderful. I usually dont like liqueur, but the chamomile liqueur was outstanding. They had lots of great and unique flavors, and I ended up getting a couple bottles. This place is definitely worth the visit.

I did a tasting with owner Stanton, Im a huge fan of what this distillery is doing. Unique flavors and creative cocktails make this a local Knoxville gem that is easy to support. If you havent been here yet, get on it!

Excellent selection. The whiskeys are 100% malted barely, gives them a distinct flavor. Lots of collaborations makes them unique.

This place was great. When we first pulled up we were a but uncertain of how we would like the place, but man did that change!!! The bartenders were superb, namely Caleb, the one who took care of us. We took my brother in law to try some of the local spirits for his 21st birthday and it was by far one of the best places we went to. Everything tasted great and we were treated like family! Thanks so much for the 5 star experience!

2nd visit, better than the first. 1st time was right after a visit to Knox Whiskey and was unable to enjoy the complex flavors delivered by PostModern. This time round, the Amaro and Gins shine! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The chill atmosphere allows you to get lost in your drink of choice. Recommendation, get a Sir Hammerlock on your next visit.

Great staff, great spirits! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, always there to help people decide on a drink from their custom drinks menu. Everything they use in their drinks they make themselves (including a great limoncello that their bartender Caleb) made! A definite must try place!

The tasting we did was great. People here are super nice and the waitress gave us a ton of information with the tasting. Best part: if you end up buying a bottle, the tasting is free! Their cacao liqueur was my favorite, smooth and sweet. Tasted 1 vodka, 3 types of gin and 3 liquors that they make. %100 recommend doing the tasting here.

Staff isn’t friendly at all. It’s a cool location. The great geography is totally overwhelmed by the sour attitude of the people who work here. Not great.

Excellent service and quality spirits. I was really glad to hear they will be growing their menu and cant wait to try whats next. The Bloody Mary is a must try.

Went up to the door over an hour before closing and not only was it already locked, they stood behind the bar and started smiling and talking to each other till we walked away. Then proceeded to ignore the phone when I called to see if they had closed early for se reason. Seems like they dont want business unless they feel like it.

AWFUL SERVICE: I stood in line for 15mins and never got served. Three different groups came in after me and were obviously friends with the bartenders and they were all served before me and my group.This is actually the second time we’ve been here and it has not gotten better. The first time was last year and they had bad service / cocktails.I’ll say this - the menu looks creative and intriguing, however, it’s not worth waiting 15mins for.... My recommendation is just go to Pour Taproom right beside them. They have WAY better service and you never have to wait for a drink, they have plenty of options and they are good down to earth people. Which is also half the cost.Long story short Postmodern continues to disappoint.

Great spot in the Old City to have a unique drink, made from vodka, gin, or whiskey distilled in-house, and enjoy the patio. Great atmosphere and awesome drinks.If you happen to have the time on a Sunday morning, stop in for Yoga, then enjoy the included drink afterward.

Yoooooo I had an amazing time trying Knoxvilles most house made and craft oriented cocktail bar. Not only do they focus on their own products, they emphasize careful preparation and innovation. Try anything. Best cocktail in town hands down. Reasonably priced, no compromise.

Had a fantastic time at PostModern Spirits. The bartender was really helpful and had a lot of insight on the different spirits. Definitely will go back next time Im in Knoxville.

We love Post Moderns Empirical Gin here in Oak Ridge. Its awesome to have a true artisan spirit made here in East Tennessee. Keep up the great work guys were looking forward to seeing you grow.

This place has great spirits and bitters you can purchase as well as some really great drinks you cant get anywhere else. Really enjoyed the wildfire and the bloddy Mary. Friendly service and our favorite place to stop on Knoxville.
