The park itself is beautiful, and fun to hang out and check out the trails. Lots of homeless though at times, def needs more monitoring of the camps in the woods.

This is my second review of this park. Yes its beautiful, its its a lovely walk between jobs/ clients, and yes, the homeless and destruction of property is prevalent in this park. Ive seen smashed car windows, group drug usage, and large amounts of litter strewn about. Then, theres Covid. Ugh, priorities.

Cool little park in the middle of the hustle and bustle. A nice place to go lay in the grass on a nice day or walk the meandering paths to get away from a busy day and let your thoughts wander. Cool earth sculptures? Or shapes... Has a round / circle thing going on. Hidden places around bends in the path. I saw other reviews about sketchy people and trash. Park was relatively clean and there were some workers there cleaning up. I can see it being a place for addicts and homeless to hang out though. I probably wouldnt go at night.

I LOVE the artworks. Ive been here twice and have every intention of coming back again. It always reminds me of the one week while in art school my organic art course required our class to clear land at a state park in Alabama and create our own earth art. If you have appreciation for the aesthetics, nature, or like me - BOTH, then this space is worth checking out sometime.

While the environment and the river was great, the quality and how safe it was wasnt that great, it was quite hazardous because of all the drug needles and homeless people lived there as well. I suggest bringing more than three people there if your going. Other than that. It was beautiful.

Beautiful park. great location. lovely green grass everywhere. natural babbling brooks throughout the entire park. this is the best place to take the kiddos for a walk or picnic or walk your dogs. i love taking the kids to ride bikes here, the sidewalks are nice and smooth. This is would be a perfect place to take a date during the spring or summer and just be one with nature. There are benches you can sit on just beside the small lake and listen to the water and watch the ducks & geese . This really is just an amazing park to hang out at and let the kids roll down the hills or feed the ducks. You def have to make time to visit this place. Other similar places in the area just as serene, beautiful, and green would be Kuboda Gardens in Seattle/Skyway area. A must see ! Go visit

So ghetto I was literally scared to be there. Came to ride my bicycle with my toddler and sad to say it has a lot of beautiful potential if it was kept up. A guy drinking beer by the bathroom, random articles of clothing everywhere, shoes, beer cans, surprised I didnt see any drug users but I felt like they were watching us from the bushes.

I used to go there as a kid, all the time. But it was clean then, and nobody was camping in the back woods. Now I go there to pick up the garbage on a regular basis. Its really sad what the homeless have done to the parks in and around kent. Pluss they dont have Canterbury fair in the front anymore.

The park has a lot of grassy sloping areas, so it is very popular for kids sledding downhill when it snowed recently. The bathrooms are only open during summer months, pretty clean for public restrooms, at least, it is clean whenever I need to use it.There are staircases going up to Canyon Road, but they are dilapidated and unsafe.I walk the dog often here. However I do not feel safe if it is getting close to dusk, because there are a lot of homeless people that hangs around there.

This park is a nice little gem in the heart of Kent. It has a long park area with a small duck pond and a small amphitheater beyond that. There are also trails through the woods. Years ago, there used to be a medieval fair called Canterbury Faire that went kn here.. Not sure if it still goes on but it would be a shame if they stopped it. Was amazing.

Really enjoy this place, the design, concept, and thoughtfulness of everything. However we have how coined this place Bum Park. The wooden view points and stair access points all have been blocked off due to dry rot and other structural issues. You can see a lot of wood is falling apart laying on the ground throughout the park. And the bums... apparently this is like a hidden Tent City, AKA Bum Park. Theres campsites everywhere in the litter is just horrible. Theres so much garbage throughout the tail end of this park and on the hidden Trails throughout the Creek area. This place needs a deep cleaning.

Ri
Review №81

This is a small park but its very scenic. Theres a parking lot at the start of the park, which has a pond in the center. Beyond that, there is a wooden gazebo type structure, and thats about the end of the park. I often see people walking their dogs here or bringing their kids to run around in the grass. When it gets warm, there are a lot of ducks around and people show up to feed them. Towards the rear of the park, there seems to be trash and debris, which could have been left by homeless and transient individuals. On the wood flooring under the Gazebo, it looks like someone may have lit a fire to keep warm and burned a hole through the wooden floor planks.Along with discarded alcohol bottles, graffiti and the creepy wooden stairs that extend down from the street level above, be aware of your surroundings and careful to supervise your children at all times in the rear area of the park. Otherwise, the open grassy areas are pretty safe.
