This 1/2 mile loop is very well maintained all down in decking. It makes for a great walking surface with only slight incline in one area and minor areas where not flat. The path is two people wide and left nature intact. Very nice area to observe the unique nature and there is wildlife running about as in chimpmunks, squirrels, rabbits and snakes. Turtles and deer are possible also to my knowledge. Nice peaceful scenic walk. There are bugs of course so some spray depending on your desire could be handy. Nice clean well maintained parking is available. Highly enjoyed as long as you know what it is before going. Easy in and out.
Very cool ancient formation with nice boardwalks and informative plaques detailing the geologic history, flora, and fauna of the area. The single issue is the tiny parking lot which is easily overwhelmed but Id rather have more land preserved than more parking spots.
My son and I have been walking here for years, typically nice and not crowded.
Literally one of the prettiest places I have visited to take photos at. I got word from Instagram about this place and wanted to see it for myself. I woke up early, drove only 35 minutes & enjoyed the entire boardwalk all by myself for 2 hours. Parking lot is small, so be aware, lots of benches to sit on during the walk, but no trash cans. The boardwalk isn’t very long, but has lots of interesting facts along the way. The vegetation and scenery is beautiful. I’d recommend everyone to come here once!
This place is surrounded by nature. They have several benches and a walk way with peoples names who who donated. I would recommend this as a short stop just to relax and stretch your legs.
Lovely short walk thats shaded abouthalf the time! Tons of blueberry bushes along the path that are a delicious snack while taking a stroll
Very nice place to take a walk around and view nature up close.
Super nice and beautiful trail to enjoy nature. Small course but still a nice experience, Ive seen 4 snakes and 6 turtles just walking along the trail in my few visits.
Excellent short walk on the boardwalk through the bog.
A beautiful boardwalk flanked by highbush blueberry, leatherleaf, larch, and grey birch runs through the preserve, providing visitors with outstanding opportunities to view the bog. Bogs are a rare plant community in Ohio, and are effectively the southern remnants of plant communities typical of more northern climates. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Kent area.
Beautiful place. Dragonflies everywhere
Beautiful hike on a.5-mile boardwalk through a remnant bog with plants far south of their normal range.
A nice little loop path made out of recycled material circling the bog. You could easily push a stroller around. We were there in the winter, obviously not much going on as far as wildlife, but I I look forward to the spring when the trees are full and the birds and other creatures are around. I would not visit when it is hot in mosquito season, however; lots of standing water! A nice short walk to get some fresh air.
Keeping in mind that this is a bog, it is very serene. The path is well maintained and I didnt see any litter. All in all, the whole path is an enjoyable 20 minute walk.
This is probably our favorite place to take a nice walk! Its a nice walkway made from Trex lumber that wiggles around various parts of a bog. Its a big crooked circle. It has benches along the way if anyone needs a break. Lots of small signs pointing out things like various plants. If you play Pokemon Go this walk is loaded with pokestops and a gym! Just a nice relaxing path to walk.
Very short, single boardwalk trail. Not much in the way of views as its a bit tightly fit into the surrounding foliage.Perhaps ideal for strollers or people unable to hike trails, but otherwise not much to this place once youve walked the brief loop.Could not envision this place holding my interest for even a second visit. But maintained and easy to access.
Easy 1/2 mile boardwalk. Pets/bikes NOT welcome. Wheelchairs easily accommodated. Interesting facts along trail. Looking forward to going later this spring when there is new growth. Prettiest in fall when Tamarack needles are golden.
Boardwalk through the bog is nice. Kept clean. Not too long of a path and it has benches every so often. Information placards are interesting.
Lovely walk around, great pokemon go route to refill on inventory as well.
Really nice boardwalk with beautiful scenery. One of the best places to see tamaracks in Ohio. This area was slated to be developed but luckily environmentalists fought to protect it.
Enjoy the outdoors here!! Beautiful hike
Beautiful place to take a small walk
Very nice park but it was smaller than I expected. The park essentially consists of one loop trail on a boardwalk. Good for those who arent looking for a strenuous walk, although a word of warning to those with strollers; the boardwalk is a little bit narrow, this could pose some issues.
Beautiful walk with lots of pokestops
Great place to visit nature for people in wheelchairs
Nice walk, close to town but you feel miles away. So unique! Be sure to read the signs and study this unusual area.
The trail is short but the plant diversity is amazing. The bog is filled with saresenia purpurea which is in flower all summer. Late June to early July is a great time to go because the trail has blue berry bushes on both sides the whole way. The walkway is well kept.
Nice and relaxing place for a walk.
Love coming here to walk. Nice little park
Well maintained beautiful nature area and boardwalk.
I love to go waking here. Has a great path and great nature scenery
Definitely need more security here....
Beautiful wildlife
This is a nice place to go to for a short walk through nature. The path is a boarded trail with benches along the way. My son and I love coming here for a short walk and to be in touch with nature.
Its a nice place to walk in unwind.
Wonderful place to visit. Even better if you play Pokemon go
Tranquil. Historic. A peaceful boardwalk loop to admire ancient plants that can be found nowhere else in this region.
Great walking trail. Very scenic with educational plaques all along the trail.
I love taking walks at Kent Big!
Nice boardwalk....lots of critters to see. Not too long of a path around...so good for kids
Its awesome and good excersize
Great for Pokemon go players and nature enthusiast
Fantastic service and great catering. Fun and well organized space.
Nice quiet place. Great place to go for a walk. Open sunrise to sunset.
I had no idea a bog was so amazing, so full of rare plants (Tamarack trees and spagnum moss), and that it would be such an ideal place to immerse myself in nature, recharge my batteries, and take amazing pictures. This bog is so worth preserving.
Really nice park that features a half mile boardwalk, benches, and lots of really informative signs. Much prettier than it sounds!
Park very pretty
Really cute park, theres only one trail though.
A great place for a nice walk enjoy the nature and the scenery. If you play Pokemon go there are I believe 6 or more post and two gyms.
Beautiful place. Great place to stock up on stuff for pokemon go
A nice half mile walking trail in a bog. 10 pokestops and a gym.
Nice, relaxing place to take a nice walk and learn about the nature of the area.
