Nice place get away relax enjoy woods has small stream thats enjoy to.
As a guy whos hiked the Himalayas, Machu Picchu, the Alps and many other places around the world, I usually have higher expectations for hiking locations but Stackhouse is alright for a park trail. Its nothing special but it has some interesting scenery for a small town.
Was very peaceful so...many trails to use went on the one off of D St gives the outdoor woodsy feeling without going far from home
It was nice! The paths are a little steep, and there are rocky places in the trails that could really trip someone up, but in general it is a hidden gem!
Love this park. I take the kids here all the time.
Peaceful and quiet. A nice place to get away from all the noncence going on in the world.
Great hiking trails and scenery. A tremendous asset for the Johnstown area.
The park is large with a many trails- beginer thru novice hiking, running and walking. There are even a few geocaches in the park! Mostly shaded and exceptionally beautiful. Allows pets.
A quiet place to be alone with your thoughts
Awesome for families or people with dogs. Easy trails to walk/hike.
Clean, beautiful,and peaceful.
Beautiful. Well kept. Quiet.
Nice walk, about an hour of varied terrain.
This is a hidden gem in Johnstown. The park holds roughly 8 miles of hiking trails right in the middle of Johnstown. It is also a great place for picnics or a get together.
I live 20 steps away from one of the borders to this awesome park. I live next to it . Regardless its a beautiful park, I grew up playing in the park since the early 1970s. Its clean and well cared for.
Great place to go for a walk in the woods plenty of trails with different levels of from easy to more difficult
Gorgeous wooded park with plenty of hiking trails.
I love that there are different trails for different levels of exercise here. Also there are picnic tables and firepits. Camping is permitted. Also people like to walk their dogs here. I consider this one of the BEST places in Johnstown.
Great walking trails of various effort levels in wooded hollows with streams adding to forest atmosphere. Various entry points and picnic areas. Dog friendly. A must visit for all who enjoy the great outdoors!
The smile says it all
Peace full and meditative very tranquil out door area
Nice clean place. Kids love it.
Wonderful park with great trails, streams, wildflower, butterflies, animals, beautiful birds.
Very nice hidden trail and park near downtown
Cute trails and a crick where the kids and dogs can play.
Stackhouse Park is one of our favorite hiking spots. We love to explore the park and hiking trails.
Shakespear understandable. Take bug spray, outside performances.
Nice park. Walk theu it alot.
Very nice place. They keep up with the maintenance of the park, mulching or adding shell where needed to keep visitors safe and trails secure. Always spot wildlife here.
What an awesome GEM of a park!!!! GREAT trails that will keep your heart rate pumping!! I loved taking my kids and Boxer there for a hike and a picnic!!! I cant say enough good things about this park!
Best kept secret in Johnstown. Great place to take a walk in the woods!
Stackhouse Park is a perfect place to walk your dog, view wildlife, relax, and enjoy nature. The trails are also excellent for running in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. Shakespeare is performed in the park annually during two weeks in July. Check at the Ranger Station for other activities.
A nice secluded Park where there isnt very many people. A good place to walk your dogs. The trails are a little more challenging for the elderly. Just some steeper grades and some narrow paths. The handicap entrance is behind the police station in the area. I feel that it wasnt Mark very well on Google Maps or by any signs. Had to ask a local that lived beside the park. It is a beautiful Park. It is tucked away and I have lived in the area since Ive been born and didnt even know the park was there until I found it on Google Maps looking for parks
Great place to walk with kids and dogs!!
Always great to take a walk !
Forest setting in a small town. Nice walking trails. Quiet peaceful getaway. Pet friendly must be leashed. Cool off in the creek.
Nice
Awesome place to go for a hike through nature!
Great trail when its not muddy
Trails are beautiful!
Great place to relax and enjoy nature
Very clean with camping allowed
This is a great place to go. There is nice trails that you can walk your dog on.
One of Johnstowns hidden jewels.
Always enjoy the outdoor experience while learning the great Shakespearean stories !
Decent local park with trails, gazebo, and picnic areas. The trails surround a country club but are very poorly labeled with only some help from the downloadable map. The park has lots of wildlife with numerous deer sightings. The picnic areas and Gazebo are great places to have a picnic with family or take wedding photos. Overall, it is a nice park but needs much upkeep on their trails.
Nice family park.
Not a huge park, but that makes it nice for a quick hike if your limited on time
Absolutely delightful
Nice public park to walk, great view of Johnstown at the incline side entrance. Clean and well kept.
Nice park. They put on plays and its pretty well maintained. Its nice for casual mountain biking and hiking.
Lovely
My sister and I both have health problems and there was a handicap picnic table right next to a stream!!!! Off of D street.
Super nice
Awesome place to go. You can walk differnt trails and are able to camp out over night here. Just an all around Beatiful place to spend time with your family
