As a guy whos hiked the Himalayas, Machu Picchu, the Alps and many other places around the world, I usually have higher expectations for hiking locations but Stackhouse is alright for a park trail. Its nothing special but it has some interesting scenery for a small town.

It was nice! The paths are a little steep, and there are rocky places in the trails that could really trip someone up, but in general it is a hidden gem!

This is a hidden gem in Johnstown. The park holds roughly 8 miles of hiking trails right in the middle of Johnstown. It is also a great place for picnics or a get together.

Stackhouse Park is a perfect place to walk your dog, view wildlife, relax, and enjoy nature. The trails are also excellent for running in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. Shakespeare is performed in the park annually during two weeks in July. Check at the Ranger Station for other activities.

A nice secluded Park where there isnt very many people. A good place to walk your dogs. The trails are a little more challenging for the elderly. Just some steeper grades and some narrow paths. The handicap entrance is behind the police station in the area. I feel that it wasnt Mark very well on Google Maps or by any signs. Had to ask a local that lived beside the park. It is a beautiful Park. It is tucked away and I have lived in the area since Ive been born and didnt even know the park was there until I found it on Google Maps looking for parks

Decent local park with trails, gazebo, and picnic areas. The trails surround a country club but are very poorly labeled with only some help from the downloadable map. The park has lots of wildlife with numerous deer sightings. The picnic areas and Gazebo are great places to have a picnic with family or take wedding photos. Overall, it is a nice park but needs much upkeep on their trails.
