Tonight my wife and I saw The Gentlemen. The movie was fantastic and so is this quaint theatre located in San Marco. Such a nice addition to the area and we love swinging by when we are close by. This was our second time coming and watching a movie here and we will be back.

I frequent the San Marco Theatre on a regular basis. The chairs are nice and comfy. In addition, there are tables for your food and drinks. On top of this, the staff is very attentive and congenial.Tonight, there was a slight mix-up with my food order. Without me saying a word about the mix-up, one of the staff noted that I was a regular customer and made sure that I received my regular order of nachos.I was very flattered by the five-star customer service. It made my day. Plus, the movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood was very enjoyable.

This theater offers a food to order menu, beer, wine in addition to the normal popcorn and candy. The staff was wonderful, updated seating with tables. Definitely recommend

Had a great time! I lived in Jax for 10 years and never visited. Now that I am in Fernandina Beach, I decided to make a girls day with two friends new to the area. We had a great time. Prices are great, theater was very nice, food was delicious and selection was perfect. Will be back once a month!

Enjoyed going to see Downton Abbey with a friend, and had a great time! The theater is vintage to us, especially my friend who grew up in the San Marco area. The seats were comfortable with cup holders for drinks and tables for popcorn. Went to early show for discount prices. Many fond memories here.

Beautiful small theater. Did see a trend in the reviews that people talk here a ton and that was the case tonight. Maybe play an anti-talking clip before the show like Sunray and Alamo do

Very nice little theater. Its quaint different from those big name movie theaters in a good way. Highly suggest you go see a movie. The only limitation they have is space so theyre only showing a couple movies because they dont have more rooms.

Nice intimate theater rather than a huge megaplex. Comparable prices, with excellent movie concession, food and beverage choices. Lobby, food service area and theater were clean. The seats could use an update.

Love San Marco! The theater was very nice staff were fantastic! On a last minute whim we decided to go to the opening night of a huge premiere. We were able to get tickets and dinner all in one with no trouble or lines at all! Will definitely be returning!

Great old style movie theater. Food selections were numerous, fairly quick, and of good quality. The bathrooms were clean, the theater had some sticky areas on tables, but pretty clean, overall. Friendly staff. Nice diversion from the chain theaters.

I grew up coming to this theater (I even had my 16th birthday party with my best friend at the time there! Which was super cool and always impressed people ) so Im glad this theater just keeps getting better. I mean, now theres TWO SCREENS and an updated concessions area? Whats not to love?This place is perfect for a date night or even by yourself. Seats are by the two or one on the end and separated by a table so you can enjoy the movie and not juggle your food.

One of the best if not the best theaters to go to in Jacksonville Fl. They have comfortable seats, great sound, and great food. Local draft beers, and wine. You can even bring your own bottle of wine(small corking fee). I recommend there pizza, paninis, and the best popcorn in town. Get there 20 minutes early so you can eat, drink, and pick out a great seat. Enjoy.

Great little local theater with very good food selections. The turkey and avocado panini is my favorite. Very friendly staff, too. For more popular movies, be sure to buy tickets online ahead of time because they often sell out.

I cant believe it took me so long to come here! What a cute little place. Prices are better than large chains and (what seemed like brand new seats with little side tables) were nicer as well. If you like Sun-Ray, give this place a shot.

My favorite movie theater. Love the local Ownership. Food is good. Love the renovation with the big screen and the smaller screen. They accommodate my husbands wheelchair and my mothers walker, making it look easy even though I know sometimes its not. Never had a bad experience here ever.

Best movie theatre in town. Popcorn is awesome and uses real butter. $1 refills. They serve beers and the seats are comfortable. Its almost never crowded. Highly recommend!

I have been going to this place for about 40 years. They always have the top movies playing. The food and beverages are a little pricey but very good. It has just been renovated and looks so nice. The best place to go for a pizza, beer, and a movie. I love this place!

Reminds us we are in a true community every time we enjoy a show. Familiar faces, and the theater itself, landmark. Added entertainment found in the emails sent direct from Mr. Blue to you! So glad I subscribed years ago. Always fun!!

Downton Abbey was Great.

First time in the newly remodeled theatre. New leather seats were so comfortable as well. Not a bad seat in the house.

Great place for movies and simple food. Love they now have two theaters. Miss not having the kitchen in the theater with you so you dont miss the movie for that popcorn run or the candy you forgot to order the first time through. Love the new seats also. Wish they sat a bit higher than the ones in front of you as tall folks sitting in front of you block your viewing area. If they could also turn down the floor lamps as those things are very bright during the show. Picture in the old theater and sound are excellent. Will need to try the new theater. Love supporting our locals when possible.

Its always been such a quaint, romantic little theater, but the recent expansion into the coffee shop next door means its now delicious too! The coffee is good (and very costumizable) and the desserts served there are heavenly good -they seem homemade!

This is a wonderful old theater. The interior is Art Deco, the REAL Art Deco. Seating is arranged for one to eat comfortably while enjoying a movie. There is a table between every couple of seats to place your food and beverage. We ordered a pannini with a bottle of Merlot. The staff is on the spot with clean-up after the movie. The theater is very clean and well kept. This was my first visit and i know there will be more.

The theater could have been lost to development many times. Thank goodness it held on and the local neighborhood supports them. Expect an old time movie experience and a walk around a neighborhood with little night life.

Its not only a magnificent art deco theater, but Its the real heart of our lovely community. Best refreshments ever, including wine...and a brand new cafe and bakery. As well as a second ADDITIONAL theater tgat didnt encroach on the original at all. Thank goodness! They also do a FABULOUS job booking a terrific mix of films, from big suoerhero franchises to Oscar worthy to great family fare!

A beautiful old theater located in downtown San Marco. 2 theaters and some fresh food. This place offers paninis and quesadillas with wine and beer or a standard popcorn and soda. Tickets are fairly proceed and the food is very reasonable. The seating and theater were great, with my only complaint being that if someone sitting in front of you is tall then you may be blocked from the screen a little bit. This can be solved by simply moving but in a packed theater this is impossible.

Great Deco feel to this Theater and its just opened a second screen too (although personally I still prefer the first screen where you can get concessions without leaving the theater). I didnt know what I was missing going to the cineplex.

The ONLY place to see a movie in Jax. Comfortable seating. The crowd tends to be older and quieter.The cool thing is the food, good Pizza, great pop corn and casadias (sp)Also beer and wine.The staff is great, and the owner is very passionate about film. Get on his email list.

The 2nd screen opened in late 2017 is amazing! Very spacious seats with tables for your beer/wine/soda food, etc. Nice and intimate size, all with good views of the screen.

I have been here numerous times and loved it. On 1/8/2016 from the moment we walked in, it was horrible. The guy at the front acted as if he had no idea what was going on. When we walked into the theatre we were asked to stand on the back wall because they were still cleaning, then we had to wait to order from concession. Once we did we were given cold stale popcorn, when we asked for another we were given the same thing. I then asked for money back and the same gentlemen from the front started being ridiculously rude to me about how popcorn shouldnt taste fresh or hot. I then asked for the manager and he claimed he was. I then told him there was no need to be rude and he continued to be. I asked for my money back he gave me more cold popcorn. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen here or anywhere. I will never be back.

Found this amazing theatre last year while I was pregnant. My hubby and I have gone back many times since. It is our go-to date night spot. Very comfortable seating, great food, and friendly service. Not to mention good pre-movie/after movie places to eat, walk around, or sit by. Its a charming place to visit. Id definitely recommend this to anyone!

A neighborhood treasure! First run moves, comfortable seating with tables and surprisingly good food. No, its not cheap, but it is definitely worth what you pay. Try the pizza. Hard to believe, but it is probably the best individual pizza in town. Made to order, with a good thin crust. Parking is always a problem in San Marco, so come early. Youll enjoy the experience, even if the movie stinks!
