Love this theater. Comfortable seats and great audio. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The theater is always spotless

Always clean, offers a variety of hit movies and usually no wait time. Game room and clean bathrooms are a plus! Plenty of stalls to choose from and filled soap dispensers. Staff is always around for assistance, not hovering, but helpful. Second time viewing there and I will be taking my family again!

This place is so amazing. The people are so nice and so vary helpful with all the information you need about this place and if you have never been i highly recommended this movie theater...

Great atmosphere, QUICK ticket service, QUICK snacks area, clean floors, not sticky, unlike AMC theaters. (At least before COVID-19 situation)

I’m not a huge movie person, but occasionally I have the urge to go to the movies. I decided to go last Sunday to watch a movie at Regal. The location is in the River City Market place, so you can do a little shopping before or after the movie. I’ve been to Regal a few times since moving to Jacksonville. The theater is your standard movie theater with the norms of over priced candy and must have popcorn.The showing I went to this particular Sunday was not crowded. The theater was comfortable. It wasn’t Arctic cold which was a plus. The screen and sound was just right to get you wrapped up in the movie. It was a nice Sunday.

Although we were discouraged they switched the coke products to pepsi, we made our way into the theater & it was just a few patrons which made the movie more enjoyable. Jax, you need 2 come check this place out!

This movie theater closed the front box office and makes everyone order tickets at the concession area. This is very frustrating, especially when there are long lines for snacks and you dont intend on buying any. Pre-buying tickets online charges you a fee even if you are a monthly Regal Unlimited member. The staff seems to be very busy and overwhelmed at times. There should be someone at the costumer service desk to help with a ticket only line or to assist with any costumer service needs. They also have trouble with the Regal Unlimited membership. This location has one Kiosk for printing tickets and it is often broken or out of paper. I have also been told not use the machine, that its turned off after 2pm, to prevent kids from buying R rated tickets and on another occasion Ive been told that the kiosk, doesnt work and Its there just for looks( after viewing a movie, that same day I went to see why the Kiosk didnt work, and it worked just fine and printed a ticket). They rarely have ushers checking tickets, and now you have to pre-choose your seat prolonging the ticket buying experience at the concession area. More often then not there are staff members standing around that could jump in and help with crowded movie days or new release nights and they dont. Three movies I have viewed in the last month or so had technical difficulties; Just Mercy started late and had trouble downloading, with the Windows screen blinking on and off, 1917 did not have audio for the first 5-10 minutes, and Queen and Slim also started late due to the movie not downloading properly. The theater is simple and relatively clean. There has been many issues with the staff and their new changes to the ticket buying experience sucks!

We were the only people in the theatre. The theater was clean and the associates were very attentive to our needs. Theres probably a much better atmosphere when the theatre is filled with the energy of other movie goers. But we enjoyed having an entire theater to ourselves.

My husband and I recently watched a movie at this location. Very clean, very friendly, helpful employees..Unfortunately we just found out All Regal Theaters are switching from coke products to Pepsi... We will no longer watch movies at Regal Cinemas..

Older theater, screen and sound was great but the chairs are old school, in good shape but do not recline. Also, when you walk in there is no directory as to where you purchase tickets. Small kiosk in back corner is the only place I found. Concessions were expensive but good. Overall good experience just needs to be updated.

I just moved to Jacksonville and this is easily one of the worst theaters Ive been to in almost a decade. I dont know how it got a 4.2 rating!!! I suppose folks around here dont know what theyre missing. Its outdated and in need of an update. The only good thing I can say is they offer a military discount but in all honesty Id easily pay regular price to go to a more adequate theater. The seats here were small and very uncomfortable. They do not recline and the theater was hot....literally hot! This is the first time Ive ever been to the movies and they didnt have the air on. Super weird. This made our viewing very uncomfortable. It also didnt smell the best in there either. Not that the establishment could help this but...our theater had large amounts of teens in it yelling out and throwing hard candy at other movie goers. Candy corn was hitting people throughout the movie. Management came in but didnt remove a soul. This was very disappointing. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

This place is awesome, they allow you to store your luggage if needed, which we had to do on two separate occasions due a delayed ship and flight. The movies we watched were great but the atmosphere of the people of Jacksonville made it even better. Jacksonville you guys rock!

Had a lovely experience here at this theater. The young lady Sydney that rang me up was so pleasant and sweet. I love the customer service here.

It was clean, the employee was a gentleman and the movie was great. However the movie was blurry. I feel as though the person in the booth should have done a better job.

My movie was at 1pm. The popcorn was not fresh and the fountain drink aweful. Only one counter clerk doing three jobs.

Clean courteous tickets are $10.00 you can get a Regal card for free that gives you a reward points for free tickets, popcorn & food. Regal honors military discount. Regal lets you use both the card and your military discount. Usually its a little dirty if you arrive for a late show. Bathrooms are always decent. Food popcorn are expensive 1 small drink/popcorn $13.45 I go to the dollar store then stash my candy/snacks. Have Fun!!

Good theater but for the price they still have very old seats that are not very comfortable. If Im paying $10-12 for a movie Id like if the theater was updated and had comfortable seating. Otherwise a totally average theater.

This Regal Cinemas is old and dirty. The mens bathroom was filthy had a dirty diaper on the counter by the sinks. Seating is crowded. This theater made me wonder why Im a Regal Unlimited member. Jacksonville is bigger than Gainesville, Florida but their theaters are worse than those in Gainesville. The movie is the only reason that Im giving them 2 stars. Was really disappointing to go to this theater on a Saturday night.

If your stuck at the airport this is down the street did some shopping while I waited for my delayed dlight. And lots of restaurants. The area looks new and updated. Nice croud

Nice clean friendly, plenty of restrooms. Comfortable chairs, a little cool in the theater its good to bring a jacket. Early shows $8.60. Snacks are over priced but.......... no complaints will be returning.

The front entrance was clean but when we went inside the theater there was trash left over from the people there were there watching the movie before us. Im not a germaphobe but I prefer cleanliness!

Cashiers are always nice & willing to give that special way you like your popcorn. Comfortable seats!

Nice theatre wide aisles and comfortable seats. Good location for running errands after your film.Down side, when they say your hotdog will be ready in one minute and it takes almost 10 you may end up with an over microwaved shriveled dog.

Thinking about my experience now more in detail. I should have just gave it a five star review from the beginning. The staff was very courteous and the customer service took me by surprise on how friendly they were. You usually dont see that too often at movie theaters. Most of the time they are in a rush to serve you or you just feel rushed in general. Neither was the case at this movie theater. Yes, it may be a little dated but the seats were comfortable, the theater clean and the staff friendly. I would go back just because of those three reasons.

I guess they are giving out free movies! I came here today, with my family, to see Playing With Fire and walked right in without anyone checking our tickets. I could have saved 30 bucks.

Convenient for shoppers and foodies, Regal Cinemas River City Marketplace has proven to be a great staple and continues to be progressive in food, atmosphere and movies made available to the public. Handicap accessible with ample parking and no reserved movie seating required. A family favorite!

This theatre has gone downhill so badly since it was first built. I havent been to this place in two years and the last time I was here the movie didnt show and an employee told me that we should have been told the movie wasnt working to view yet. So I go to the customer service desk and receive and pass for a later date no big deal even though I wanted a refund and wasnt given that still no complaining . Today I come back to give it another chance and same thing happens this time going into the theatre after I putchased my ticket I was given no ticket or receipt the first time that has ever happened because there computers froze once again no complaining. Were told once sitting in the theatre for almost 20 mins its not going to work . I go to customer service and calmly ask for a refund and am treated as if I walked in didnt pay and am trying to scam them . If I didnt have the money to walk in the establishment I wouldnt be here from the beginning. This is why I travel the extra minutes to an amc theatre or Tinseltown .

I enjoyed the movie but the theater could have used an upgrade. The theater didnt have stadium reclining seating but the seats were comfortable. Since it was early there wasnt a bunch of staff so there was a bit of a wait at the concession stand.

Bathrooms need to be serviced more often because there were several times Ive visited and it was nasty. Seats should be upgraded to reclining for better comfort. Staff werent as friendly. They seemed to be a bit bothered. No on smiled when greeted.

Unfortunately we picked the movie mid-sommar. Total waste of money and time. Ive seen some bad films in my time but this tops them all. On a lighter note, the theater is very nice.

In the area for work from D.C and decide to catch a movie. The location is easy to get to and great place for dinner and movie. Theater is very clean, spacious and lots of lighting. Game room was great and theater didn’t have sticky floors, comfy chairs. I recommend this theater any time your in the area.

Worst theater in Jacksonville! The seats are uncomfortable. The theater we were in ( #1) smelled like urine! Dont waste your money or time on this theater! We will NOT be back! AMC 24 in Orange Park is the best!

Whats with the 8am showings of movies? That seems super odd. Especially for those of us that work, and thats the only showing you offer at all!For example, today and tomorrow of Shazam. Not cool.

I really used to love this theater but it seems to have changed and not for the best. Each time I come I always have an issue with the concession and management. Today was no different. I am really thinking that it just maybe worth the additional 10 minutes in travel to go to AMC theaters. They seem to be more accommodating.

It was clean, staff friendly, and the movie was faith-based. This theater is one of the few that doesnt discriminate and block faith-based movies from being shown.

Went to see Avengers: Endgame at a matinee. It was worth it but I frgt how uncomfortable the seats can be. Especially after experiencing Orange Parks movie theater seats . But hey, I only paid $16 for 2 tickets so

Good movie-going experience

Convenient place to attend a movie, very close to home. Spacious and comfortable. Lots of varieties at the food counter. Would have give 5 stars if the young staff at the food counter had been more friendlier and the ticket booth line had moved along faster.

Place was relatively clean. It was fairly easy to check in. It was economical. The seats were comfortable. We had a good time watching the movie and would definitely return. This place is also centrally placed, being close to other businesses that are frequented.

Enjoyed Downton Abbey @ the Regal theater.

This theater was once a place of fun and joy for teens to hangout but now it seems more restricting to get in. After 8 there is a policy that if you are 21 and under you must have an ID which is understandable but in my situation I did not have my ID and the employee that sells the tickets explained to me that I needed proof of my age of being 17 to get inside the theater, so I had a certified paper of my ACT testing which you cannot lie on With a visual picture of me. I showed the employee the paper with my birthday on it and she gave me more excuses of why I could not get in.. to me this isn’t fair and they will soon lose service towards AMC . People especially teens will no longer mind driving far if they have to go to a theater that isn’t so strict with an age policy. Again I do understand the rules of the policy but with me giving the employee full proof of my age and still not able to get in is very unfair. I will not be coming back to this theater ever again, this theater will lose there money with not letting the main people which are teens inside.

Nice seating and staff. Pretty comfortable. Coke was good. Popcorn was a bit stale. Free refills on Large size. $15 for the combo. Theater temperature was fine. Movie volume also acceptable.

Constantly resetting my card back. Yesterday, I was one gem away from making Diamond member. I saw Toy Story 4 with my friends so I could get my last gem now I need to see 10 movies to make Diamond. This is not the first time this has happened. Thier rewards system is flawed and sucks, or they are purposely rigging the system so they dont have to give you more points.

Very disappointed. I opend this theater in 2006 as an usher and projectionist. What a difference! Way understaffed for a Friday night. No one is managing concession properly, everyone behind the counter is walking around like zombies joking with eachother instead of helping the customers.(Including the manager). Stood in line so long we had to decide to either miss the movie or get over priced snacks. Bummed my son out on his Birthday. Sham on this place for degrading to such a low standard.

Had a genuinely dreadful time when I came today.Came to watch the new Pokémon movie, which was supposed to start at 7. At about 7:05, no ads had played and the screen was still black. Another soon-to-be viewer went to speak with the crew up front and came back shortly after, quietly.The movie soon after started, but there was a noticeable black strip along the right half of the screen.The lights didnt come on after the movie either, resulting in the eight viewers having to use our phones to light our paths.Only plus side is that the place is clean.

Busy weekend but the concession stand was minimally staffed. Our theater wasnt cleaned prior to our show. Movie played great. Sound was good. The staff we interacted with were great.

One of my favorite theaters in Jacksonville, they are located in the River City Marketplace near the airport and it is easy to buy tickets online through Atom or Fandango. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants nearby for a quick bite to eat before or after the show!

To our surprise, Regal bought out Hollywood and our free movie passes werent useable. Seats were ok, but we normally go to a theater close by our residence that features big comfortable electric recliners which allows for fewer people in each theater. We much prefer that over chairs that just tilt back slightly. You have the feeling of being packed in close quarters.

Trash and broken glass in the parking lot. Loose popcorn and other small trash in the lobby. If they kept a better job cleaning then I would give it 4 stars

Good movie, slow, slow, slow concession. Need competent help that is good with people and can work under pressure. Was not happy with the level of service received, people yelling out orders from the back of the line, and no security.

All ways clean and the staff are amazing. There is always new movies to see, lots of options. The food and drinks are great.

The theaters are average. The seats are alright, and the staff are nice enough. The cleanliness and the environment is below my standards though. There was a dead roach on the floor of the women’s bathroom. Really grossed me out. Also, if you go to any of the night showings, it smells like weed outside and sometimes inside the lobby. It’s... a weird place. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Theatres are clean, sure. That shouldnt be a selling feature, its a basic expectation of any business. Extremely disappointed when halfway through ur movie I asked the lady who i assume was a lead, or supervisor of some sort, what could be done about the screaming baby who would not stop crying and was told, well maam its a family movie so I guess its part of the movie. I asked her if I could get a refund and she said no! I asked, since we cant even hear the movie can we exchange our tickets for a later show, again, no. Regal, please teach your staff about the basics of Customer Service. Im going back to watching movies at home, this theatre is in desperate need of better training for their staff.
