Small preserve nestled into a corner bend off of Fairway lane and 15th St S. It has a single loop trail with two branch offs. One leads to a viewing overlook into the marsh where you may Cedar Waxwings feeding off the riped berries in the trees. The second walks out onto a kayak/canoe launch into the intercoastal marshes. Weve seen Osprey and Bald Eagles battle for territory in the tree snags here. Its quiet and has a meditative peacefulness where you can find yourself or lose yourself self from daily life.

A short easy walk through trees and palmetto palms leading out to the river wetlands. Visited with my daughter and her two boys aged 4 and 9. They loved being able to spot raccoons, turtles, crabs, and a blue tailed skink. Only a handful of parking spots at the entrance. More trail signs describing the trees, plants, animals, ecology, ect... of the preserve, would be nice.

Great park and boat ramp. If you want to walk clear easy wide trails this is for you. Very well marked . There is a board walk and then you off road to finish your walk out through the salt marsh. There is a really nice kayak launch back in there. Strollers work well here. A great place to walk with your family.

Its pretty, and lots of room to walk. Was looking for a geocache and the walking crabs scared the kids. They had never seen them before.

Beautiful hike! Trail was very short and manageable, perfect for a beginner or children. Theres a little canoe dock at the back if you were to walk your canoe through. Mostly boardwalk and packed sand trail. Very short but pretty. Also, parking lot has four spaces and a handicap space so be prepared to park in the grass outside the parking lot. Dog friendly. Stroller friendly.

Doesnt have much to offer really. Only a few parking spaces. The scenic overlook was laughable.

Very short and easy trail if that’s what you enjoy. We had a great time exploring. I brought my dog here as well for a run but the trail was a little shorter so we had to run it more than once which isn’t the dogs favorite thing to do. The second time I went though I brought my family and younger cousins and we had a great time exploring and also reading about the area.

Handicap accessible trail. Hard packed earth and wood boardwalk. Short length trail. Flat except when transitioning to raised boardwalk. Mostly shaded! Breeze from intercostal. Canoe/kayak launch - check tides. Not deep enough for either at low tide; would have to leave and return under mid-tides.

Absolutely love this place lets you know how important our marsh lands are as a ecosystem and the problems with overdevelopeing (water front homes) leave some space for the environment.

Amazing little Preserve in the midst of the city. Well-maintained walkways, good interpretive signs, lots to see. There is not much parking in the lot, but street parking is available. Watch the signs, however, because The Preserve is at a bend in the road, and to one side parking is allowed on one side of the street, while on the other side of the bend, parking is allowed on the other side of the street.

The trial is both wooden boardwalk and crushed shell and goes through some very densely forrest and marshy areas. Well maintained but very very very short. I was hoping for a trail several miles long but its about a mile or so. 2 or 3 parking spaces, no restrooms or seating areas. Didnt see any wildlife at all.

Leashed dogs are allowed. Easy to push with a jogging type stroller or a rugged wheelchair. Trails are even, small gravel/sand paths and boardwalks. Parking lot has room for 4 cars so some people park on the sidewalk nearby if its crowded. Really pretty, but only about 1 mile of trails.

This is a fine neighborhood pocket park. Offers a well-maintained path with boardwalks over wetlands, overlook on the northwest spur and a marsh-side landing along the south side trail. This is not suitable for most to use as a kayak/canoe put-in, but it makes for a nice stop for paddlers who put in elsewhere to stop and see.
