Took my daughter and her friends for a late night movie. The theater was not crowded at all. The girls were able to get their tickets and snacks and head right into the theater.

Love this theater! Best in Jackson as far as I am concerned. Sound is top quality as well as the wide reclining seats, super comfortable.

The Lion King was a great movie. Not many previews to deal with, its never crowded and the reclining seats are amazing!

During the pandemic, we were the only patrons in the theater, except for one other couple. I dont know how they are gonna keep the doors open. The recliners are awesome!

Great remodel, well above exceptions for a small city Cinema. Staff we excellent and the prices are incredible due to the current covid-19 situation.

Assigned seating but it wasnt very busy at all. We went to a matene at 1pm.

Theater looks nearly renovated. Recliners are very comfortable. They make popcorn fresh! You get to pick your seats, which are spaced out enough there are no instructions from other viewers. Sound and visuals were excellent. Overall, a very good experience!

Do you like saunas and movie theaters? Well you’re in luck, Hollywood 16 is both! You can enjoy your movie while sitting in a room kept at 90°F. The only downside is that have to peel yourself off the leather seats when your show is over.

I like the renovations and the prices. The screens desperately need to be cleaned though... Nothing like watching a good picture with visible dust particles on the screen. Please wipe screens down.

I took my daughters this morning to see Dolittle. I looked online to see the times. Online stated that they had movie times of 10 and 1040 for the early show for $5. I tried to reserve them online. It did not give me the option. I called the #, which the automatic recorder told me the same movie times. I even went as far as to message the movie theater on Facebook to confirm, with them looking at the message and not responding. I drove from Lexington to the 1040 showing, tried to enter, and the doors were locked. We then did some shopping waiting for the next movie, to be told all the seating was taken. So we then again left to go looking around at some other shops, to finally make it to the movie,(after I reserved the seat online for an extra cost), about 2 hours later. I under the convenience fee to save the seats, but I also feel like they(the theatre) are getting my money no matter if I show up or not, why charge for that? We choose to come to Jackson for the reclining seats, they are super nice and comfortable. Prices for concessions are a tad bit high for me. $11 for a large coke and a medium popcorn

We visited recently, on a Sunday evening, so it wasnt very busy. However, I immediately noticed how clean the facilities were, as well as how friendly & efficient the staff was. The recliners were very comfortable. The sound & video were great. I will definitely return.

Weve been going here for years, and Im glad to see that they are remodeling. They still have a long way to go! They need to pick up the pace, but Im looking forward to a much better experience, including better service and a cleaner facility. The luxury reclining seats, ability to reserve your seating, new surround sound, and the selection of movies is really nice! Hollywood 16 is the largest movie theater in Jackson and we are looking forward to the finished remodel! We also appreciate that the pricing for tickets has stayed the same! Keep up the good work!

The recent renovations to the seats are great so you can recline in a comfortable position. The ticket and concession lines are well managed most of the time but you can expect a build up if it is opening weekend for a film. The single ticket ripper lane they have is not very efficient when facing a big crowd. The bathrooms are still undergoing renovation.

They have new awesome stadium seats and their renovations inside are very nice and very comfortable. The employees are always courteous and helpful. The movie selection is good.

Reserved seating. Recliners. Very comfortable. Plenty of room for people to move around in the isle.

The entrance could have some cosmetic improvements, but dont judge a book by its cover. Its a decent theatre with good seats, prices, and concessions. May Jesus bless you!

Used to not like going because it was dirty and smelly, but they’ve done a lot of renovations and me and my wife go see movies here all the time now. Love the reclining chairs and the $5 movies. Makes for a very cheap date night.

The only downside to this place is every time Ive attended the lobby always seems to look like its under construction, otherwise its a great and comfortable experience.

I enjoyed the matinee movie, Harriet.The movie lasted two hours but it was worth my time and money.Ticket price is $7.50 and you select your seats. Comfortable seats and cmfortable movie theater.I will visit this establishment again.

Clean and very comfortable. Very good matinee pricing. Only problem was the movie started almost 30 minutes later than scheduled due to equipment problems.

I was blown away by the remodel. I cringed when we had to come here because the new empire 8 only had 4 movies showing. I am so happy we had to though way more space and the seats are just a tad larger than empires. I couldnt have been happier with our choice, I will say though it was a tad warm I wore pants in anticipation of it being cool inside.

I tried to go and see Queen & Slim yesterday but the projector wasnt working. I had to ask them 3 times to check it out before they notified of the mishap. I gotta refund on the ticket but not the $5 drink I wouldnt have purchased if I wasnt there to see the movie... Everyone please bypass this place & go to the new, Empire theater. Save yourself the time & headache.

The chair was uncomfortable, maybe I am too short? Did not care for the popcorn, I think it was the butter. I love movie theater popcorn, not this stuff.

Pleasant people. The theater chairs are very nice and it was clean in our theater. Bathrooms were clean. This was at 1245pm. Never went at night to see if it stays clean etc. But will be back!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.The only reason I’m even leaving one star is because you have to. ZERO STARS. The movie started 20 minutes late. Food was AWFUL. Do NOT waste your money here just for reclining seats. The “private company” that bought this theatre has no idea how to manage and keep customers satisfied. My friends and I bought tickets for Endgame online, only to be told that they were invalid a week later because of a system update and told that we could get a refund the day of the showing if we bought tickets now (a week ago). Then, the day of the showing, the manager refused to give us a refund after we were told we would get one. We had to pay double for a movie ticket and were not given any reasoning behind the decision and the manager avoided eye contact the whole time. Worst experience ever.

We went to see Hustler and they let us in after movie was half way into into it. We tried to explain and and they told us to come back out and sit and wait. Well sit where no sitting for anyone. Just so sad. We was so disappointed will never go back.

I love this theatre! I know theyre renovating, but they keep it on the down low a lot of the time. Once theyre finished, its gonna be an awesome hangout all over again. I love their variety of movies, plus the killer customer service. Its a great place to go to just relax and watch a good movie. They also have wonderific deals throughout the week, which definitely gives them some pull in my eyes. I hope they continue to be great and that they get the business they deserve!

Overall the pricing was good on the movie and concessions. The recliner seating was excellent with really good surround sound. Would definitely go back.

I was refused a movie cause I had a minor with but last sat I brought minors and got in the same movie with no problems on a Saturday and now another Saturday I was not able to bring my niece. I will no longer give them my service and will let others know. FYI I work with public so will let them know about my experience.

The theater is being remodeled and has some drastic flaws. There is a board and a step at the staircase which is dangerous in a dark theater. Chairs are great, but, if all theaters are like #8, I would say you need to rethink your plan.

The theater was clean and they workers were friendly. The new seats were awesome. Will definitely go back.

Upgraded recently. Reserved seating, electric reclining seats throughout. Lobby is a bit bare, no thrills. Just standard concession. Fair prices.

The movie was good, but the popcorn was not good. We ask if he could make so fresh but he didn’t. There is no free refills. The tickets are at a nice price, but if you want to get a drink or popcorn I wouldn’t go. And the candy is way too high.

They spent a lot remodeling but really need to clean the screens!!! Much better picture on your home TV screen!

The seats lean back for a very relaxing entertainment center. The movies are all the newest titles.

We went last night to take our 14 (almost 15 year old) to see IT (R). We were told told no one under 18 can go in, even with a parent. So, he decided to watch Superman (PG-13) and my husband and I were going to see something else. They then told us my son could not see Superman alone even though he was old enough to see a PG-13 movie. Since when was this the case? There were no signs up, nothing on the website or anything. Needless to say they did not get any of our money and won’t in the future.NOTE: My husband and son walked into Empire today and watch IT with no problems.

The manager walked out to my car that I was sitting in and accused me of smoking while watching a movie, I never even went inside of the theater to see a movie, I waited on my son outside and I don’t smoke so I have no clue what she was talking about! I told her I didn’t even go inside and she told me she had me on camera and I wasn’t allowed back on the property when I asked her to show me the video of me inside, she called the police, then another employee ran out to tell her that She had the wrong person but she wouldn’t apologize and told me I would be arrested if I came back!

LOOOOOOVETHIS THEATRE!!!If I could give 10 stars I would!! ALL new electric recliners in every seat. You can pre buy your tickets on line & reserve your seats ahead of time & beat the crowd. Prices are pretty reasonable too!! Great!!! Highly recommend!!

We just got doing watching the 9:40 pm Captain Marvel movie and everyone knows that the marvel movies have two bonus scenes. Right before the second bonus scene they cut the lights on and turned the sound off and then continued to flicker the lights so we would leave. I don’t appreciate it, we pay good money to watch the FULL movie. Nice to know that there is finally a new movie theater coming to Jackson. All my money will be going towards Empire 8 movie theater.

The experience at Hollywood was enjoyable especially the reclining sitting made me feel if I was at home.

Google said this place took fandango gift card so I took my wife there tonight to use the fandango gift card we received for Christmas. They dont. We were told that thry are privately owned. We were approached in the parking lot by a pan handler begging for money as well. The 1 thing we both enjoyed quite a bit is the reclining chairs to kick your feet up while you watch a movie. That was nice but thats about it!

This is a whole lot better since theyve done some remodeling. It doesnt smell horrible anymore, smells like fresh paint now. The seats are bigger, extra comfy, & they recline back! Theres an actual walkway now between the rows of seats so you dont have to worry about someones head being in your view any longer. Its great!!!

They have done a fabulous job updating this place!! Absolutely wonderful!!

Really nice seats. Tickets are cheap but the staff wasnt friendly at all. Very rude, when being asked simple questions. Food costs more than tickets but the actually theater was comfy nice and not packed.

Hollywood 16 Cinemas is undergoing a major renovation which has transformed the theater in a very short period of time. As of today its still in progress but the theater now has a new computerized ticket booth inside the so you dont have to stand in the rain and a new snack bar. All the seats have been transformed into recliners with built-in cup holders and extra wide aisles so there is never anyone kicking the back of your chair.

Me and my group of 8 bought our tickets for Avengers: Endgame online as soon as they went on sale. One week after we got our tickets they had a system update thus making the tickets we had originally gotten invalid. I then had to go to the theater to figure out the situation and the manager on duty had me buy 8 new tickets for me and my friends telling me that the ones would just be placeholders and could be refunded when we go to see the movie. On the day of the movie, we go inside, expecting to get a refund for our secondary tickets, only for (after having a person on staff, a manager) THE OWNER to tell us that the manager I had previously dealt with had told me false information and that there was nothing they could do. So we ended up paying double for tickets, and are told that we could not get a refund for an issue that wasn’t our fault. No other solutions or courtesies were offered and we were left with more problems than what we started with.

Renovations look AWESOME! This place used to be DISGUSTING but is now SUPER NICE!
