The park by itself is very nice and well kept. Its a good place close to the Commons where one can sit and have a snack or enjoy the pleasant weather in summer. However, there are times when you have some really shady people around in the park. Id recommend you visit the park before sunset.

This little park is so sweet and beautiful! I love just walking through here it has a nice layout! Its always super clean and well taken care of.

A quiet oasis downtown. Bordered by two churches and other historic buildings, it serves as a spot of dedicated green space. One can get a coffee at Greenstar across the street, then enjoy it in the park. Note the two memorials to those who paid the ultimate price in the various wars. The Farmers market takes over the sidewalk on Tuesdays, morning to afternoon during the Summer months. Can be a bit noisy, but otherwise a good resting spot.

Lovely place for a picnic. There is lots of shade to relax in or spaces with sun shining to warm up on those cold days.

Lots of people hang out here that have no other place to go. The park is beautiful when not marked up with spray paint, littered all over, or packed with people who need better habits.

This is a nice little center of the Town Park surrounded by various Church buildings of wonderful architecture trees places to sit and also a nice tribute to Armed Forces Veterans

Big open space twixt churches and Dewitt shopping center. Went there for several events. Small farmers market one day a week.

The Ithaca Concert Band plays a few concerts here every summer. Theyre a great group of musicians who provide light summer music just minutes from the famous Ithaca Commons, in historic Dewitt Park. Theres plenty of shade, several solemn war memorials to those from the area who gave their lives for their country, and the first site of Ithaca College, from 1892.

Dewitt Park is a great park almost centrally located and usually peaceful and quiet except when rowdys r there. Also. Many citizens from other cultures may visit. I usually park across from the park after getting out of church on Sundays and call my best friend as she is the love of my life. I can relax and enjoy talking to her taking pleasure and luxuriateing in the sound of her pleasant voice! The beauty of the park, of course also makes the experience all the more pleasant.

Nice place to eat take away lunch if youre downtown, also if you just want a sit. Not out of the way, big enough that you feel like you have some room to breathe.

A nice, quiet, city park. No playgrounds or anything, or restrooms, but a nice grassy spot surrounded by churches, apartments, offices, etc. There is a memorial for veterans, benches, and a seasonal farmers market on certain days of the week in the summer.

Nice little park, couple blocks from downtown Ithaca

I like that is park is in the heart of downtown but a lot of questionable characters hang out in this park. So it is really not my favorite.

Beautiful place, great monuments, gorgeous trees.

Ithacas war memorials are here. This is a lovely quiet park in which to stop and eat lunch. There are benches to sit on, and plenty of shade. There are no playgrounds, but theres lots of room for kids to run around and play tag or the like.

Good for a moment of zen downtown if you dont mind sitting on a bench alone. Sadly I hear you should keep an eye out for left over dangerous trash on the ground which makes it not kid friendly these days.
