Great park to let your dog run free and socialize with other dogs. However, there are. Lot of loose dirt and grass/weeds around this time and poop from other dogs that owners do not pick up. Make sure to watch your dog so they dont eat stuff off the the ground, otherwise great park!
This place is amazing - we took our two 16 weeks old huskies here who just got their vaccine clearance from the vet and they had a blast. I have never seen an animal be that happy to run free, play with other puppies, and just be out there as these two when we let them off the leash to enjoy. It was very clean, plenty of fresh water, safe, and people were very friendly - such a positive experience! Highly recommended!!!
First and foremost, wear closed toed shoes. This is a dog park so there is the inevitable dog pee and dog poo around. The Central Bark is split into 2 sizes. The small dog size and large dog size. The large dog side is 3 to 4x larger than the small dog side. There are some benches to sit. There is a pretty good chance you wont get a spot if you want to adhere to social distancing rules—especially on the weekend. Nevertheless, my dog and I enjoy this dog park and Im thankful the city of Irvine (or whoever pays for it) funds and performs maintenance.
Its very large, good for sprinters, real grass, venches with canopies. Water bowls available with 2 locations. My dog loves it!
Ive been on this trail many a time, mostly because its a convenient five minute drive or ten minute walk from my Girlfriends place. And as far as hiking trails go its got the basics, decent distance, decent incline.
Well-maintained and one of the better dog parks in the area.
The Wife and I go here at least twice a week. Love the area and its kept pretty well. SOME dog owners need to stay aware of there pets antics, but all-in-all, the majority are calm and happy. Please keep the park clean by picking up after your pets!
You can always find something to do in the Park and theres always some type of special event going on. Outside Lands, free radio concerts, fundraisers, BBQ, you name it, its there! Seriously, how many parks have wild bison?!?
Huge dog park, small and large dog sections, lights at night, lots of grass, water and poop bags on hand, no complaints!
Very few dogs generally for the large size of the park. Mostly grass so thats a big plus for my dog.
VERY small area for small dogs, HUGE area for large dogs but clean and nice owners who actually watch their dogs.
Nice people. Nice dogs. Big grassy area for small dogs. Benches. Shade. Faucet for water bowls. Closed on Wednesdays.
I love the amount of space and area. Majority of the owners pay close to their dogs.
Great big dog park with separate parks for small and large dogs. By far the best dog park in Orange County!
Its a well maintained place and the people are generally very good with managing their dogs when problems (rarely, if ever) arise.
Lots a space for big and small dogs. Parking was great and had lots of water bowls.
My dogs love it here
Pretty great park. Simple things like bowls of fresh water, baggies and green grass are plentiful. Dog owners here are so considerate of each other! Worth a visit. Park is large and divided between large and small dogs. Twice as much room for large dogs, so its massive. Enjoy!
This is one of the few Orange County dog parks open after dusk (Open Thurs thru Tues until 10pm). Its a great place to take fur-babies after the sun goes down.I prefer to go after 8pm, because there are fewer dogs and my lab can play fetch without being chased, but if you have a dog that likes to play with other dogs, peak hours are from 4pm to 7pm.
This is a great dog park with a lot of grassy area for little and big dogs to run around . I highly recommend it.
My dog makes friends and I do to, very lovely relaxing park.
Love it here. But people have to clean up after their dogs. And you know what?... Even if you dont think your dog went... they did! So, clean up someone elses. Be a great samaritan. Keep the poo karma flowing
Very good dog park. Can get crowded at times, and dogs can get pretty dirty if they get into the dirt section on the large dog side.
Nice dogs, nice people, well maintained.
Dem DOGS Be wild
This is an awesome doggy park. There is a larger big dog area and a smaller little dog area, both well fenced and with double safety doors. The grass is always well kept and there are nice big water fountains. You should bring your own water bowl. Generally everyone is friendly and picks up after their dogs. In the small doggy side, there are like 8 benches, some with shade and some without, so on busy days you might consider bringing a chair or youre standing. This park gets packed weekdays after work, if your dog likes to socialize this is the best time.
Best dog park in all of Southern California!
Nice dog park, but one star off for inconsiderate people who do not have control of their big dogs.
Its super grassy, compared to the other parks that Ive been in! There are 2 water areas for the large dog area and lots of space to run around. The entrance us kind of tricky to find because its between 2 buildings but you just have to follow the signs carefully. The dogs are friendly, too! Just make sure to supervise yours to avoid any fights. The small dog area is about half the size of the big dog area, but theres always a lot of room to play. The park is closed on wed, and a lot of people go in the evenings.I would bring a water bowl for your dog if you dont want to share with other dogs. There are a lot of tennis balls around but you can bring your own! Lots of poop bags and trash cans around so you dont have to worry about that.
Grass has grown in and nicely maintained. Parking in lot is limited but plenty on street. Two separate lots, small and large dogs.
I bring my small dog here a lot. The dogs are friendly. There is a lot of grass and plenty of benches. There is a water faucet to put water in bowls. I recommend this place for doggie fun.
Oh this is just an awesome place to have a delicious breakfast or lunch. Its the go-to place for me and my friends. We can bring the dogs, sit outside, and be served good food, reasonably priced and relax
Too plain and boring. My dog was boring the whole time. No equipment to clean after your dog except bags.
Wow, surprised by previous reviews that say dog owners here are considerate. Just had a run-in with some huskies and their owners. Complete disregard for other humans and dogs well-being. Beware! They seem like they own the park. Other owners knew of them. Stay away from the large dog area when they are there as they will never intercede if their dog has a run-in with yours. We tried to escape but huskies jumped up on me. Scary.
Huge space on both large and small dogs spaces. Large side can get a bit muddy and some dogs will play rough and is hard to control them being such a big park. I do like the smaller side better for my Mini Aussie Shepherd, owners are always friendly!
Great park, great people, and great dogs. My only complaint is that its right next to a household hazard dump and thats what defers me from coming here but I enjoy the company here the most. The community at this park is the best Ive seen and makes me want to come back.
Hard to find but al ways friends for your dog
Good rwal grass, no artificial stuff. Lots of water, sadly in bowls. Most importantly though, the patrons are nice, friendly, not overly- sensitive, yet still tell dumb pet owners to take their overly-agressive dogs out.
The smell of dog pee is quite heavy, grass is dead... dirt actually, in many areas. Difficult to maintain such a confined space when there is a large volume of pups.
Great dog park! Hiluge with real grass and plenty of seating. Only downfall is that the water station is all they way in the back corner.I.f you have electronics to dispose of its even better as they have a recycling center next to it.
Open during the pandemic. There is a gate person sanitizing patrons getting in.
Fun time! We frequent the small dog park and everyone there is friendly. Never had any issues
Cute little dog park. Not very large that is why I am rating it at 4 stars. The benches are covered for shade though depending on time of day and there is a water fountain for the dogs and dog owners. Parking is sort of limited and this place is randomly located by a waste drop location.
Spacious park, everyone has been friendly while there. Peak hours on weekends get busy, but there is street parking.
Great park to bring your doggo, and meet other doggos.
Great place for my Pug
Lots of space for the dogs to run.
Had an instance where my beagle (medium sized dog-- I keep him on the small dog side because he recently recovered from ACL surgery) managed to infiltrate the big dog side (yeah, my dog is kind of a brat). All the other dog owners were very sympathetic and aided me in resolving the situation (The gate was simply left unlocked, this happened the day after their maintenance upkeep). That was the only negative experience Ive had here, but it doesnt take away from all the fun Chief and I have had there. Overall its a lovely environment for socializing (whether its for you or your pups).
Great dog park. Parking is usually pretty tight though
Love this dog park. Friendly people and a lot of room for the dogs to run.
Nice place to play with your dog. Small and large dog areas. I havent been in a while and the grass was in particularly good condition. I brought our ball and thrower as Ive done in the past. This time there were not a bunch of balls lying around so our ball got scooped by another pup. Next time, Ill leave the ball at home! Not sure why Im not giving it 5 stars. I guess Im thinking that theres a better dog park out there but who knows!
Nice wide open space, pretty well lit at night
This is a great park for small and big dogs alike. There are separate areas for small and big breeds, but some people do bring their small dogs to the larger dog park. The pet parents are always friendly and watch over their dogs to ensure everyones happy and safe. They also provide water bowls and doggie bags here for pet parents to use as well.
Great park! Nice that they dont use astro turf and they have a large and small dog side. There is water and doggy bags too! Its a little difficult to find as its tucked behind the recycle center and cars lined up for it blocked the entrance
Except for the muddiness on those days after rain, this is probably one of the best dog parks I could ever ask for. Big grass lawns and dogs happily running around
Awesome place to let my puppy run around after a long drive
Great dog park! One park for small dogs and one for big dogs. A lot of space although parking is a bit hard.
The fly problem is out of control and they need to seriously need to power wash everything. The city should be ashamed of the way that park is maintained. Thats why we never go there anymore.
My dogs always have a great time here. Well managed
Good place to bring dogs.
Although we visit at odd hours (usually before work or mid afternoon), this park always has pretty well behaved pets for the most part. Or little guy loves the Green space and meeting new friends here.
Good attentive owners with a variety of dogs. Lots of space in separate big and small dog fenced areas. Lots of fresh water, trees, shade and benches. Wheel chair friendly with wide cement walkways and grass.
Nicest doggy park I have been to.
Large dog and small dog side. Large open area with 10 or more benches to sit. Grass is usually in pretty good shape with some dirt. Most owners responsible and clean up after their dogs but there is always some lazy SOB.
The large dog area is very big for large dogs to run and get their energy out. The humans are generally friendly and clean up after their kids. This park offers the most seats with shade also which is a big plus when it gets hot out.
Love taking my dogs to this park a ton of room and usually pretty well kept as they clean in every Wednesday my one problem with this location is there is also a lot of dirt my dog loves dirt and tends to find the muddiest location and ends up needing a bath after every visit.
Well maintained, very good grass area. Would like to see the small dogs in their own area.
Great dog park in the community. Out of the local dog parks in the area, this park has my favorite small side. My dog loves it here, the owners are friendly and there are a lot of cute dogs all around. The con, it can get a little crowded and youll have to park on the street, but theres always plenty of street parking.
Went there on a Sunday evening, it smelled terrible. I could even smell the pee in the parking lot. I had to give my dog a bath as soon as we got home. It seemed like any time my dog layed down on the cement, she was laying in pee. Perhaps, the city could wash down at least the cement a few more times a week, that way they wouldnt have to close the park for maintenance other than Wednesdays.
Love this park, absolutely clean nice dogs...
My dog Loves this park.
Dogs liked it. I would recommend anyone to come
I took my 6 month old puppy here and he ended up breaking his bone in his paw within 15min. There are small ditches in the grass that doesnt get maintained, he was just running around with other dogs and landed wrong in one. (Have witnesses)I emailed them right away explaining what took place, no response at all! No Im sorry your dog got hurt hope he feels better soon or well maintain the park better to prevent future injuries for others NOTHING!! This is costing us couple thousands plus dollars in medical expenses! Dangerous and careless park! Dont take your precious dogs here!
Limited parking but it seems to be a popular place.
Great little spot to bring your favorite pup!
I love this dog park. I take my pup here almost every day. The earlier you go, the better it is. After dark is when all the dogs who have been locked up all day get to get out and run around, and sometimes they act up because of it.
It was but smelling good but you need to close and let the grass grow a little more.
Although this park is split between small and big dogs, I have seen owners bring in small dogs to the big side and vice versa. On the small dog park side, a good 25% of the area is dead and some netting is exposed in those areas. There are some folks who dont pay attention to their dogs that harass other dogs. First time dog owners should keep their eyes on their dogs at all times.
Great place to play alone or with others
Most dawgs are friendly as are the people. Better shade and seating than the Orange dawg park.
Great dog park. Dogs and owners are very friendly. They have a separate area for small and large dogs.
