A theater where you can actually sit in the front row without being right underneath the screen? Done. A theater where there are no commercials playing before the film starts? Done. Where every showing has assigned seating? Done.There are several things the Regal Edwards Westpark does correctly and it makes for a very unique theater going experience. Seats are huge, focused on films and has a nice selection of art house and blockbuster films.

Once I got there on a Sunday morning at 11:40 after making a return at Marshalls. A female employee came out as she was setting up (thy opened at noon). Points to a sign and tells me no loitering. I was extremely appalled and annoyed. I told her I had been coming to this theater for 30 years. I was given 1 free movie ticket for the insulting behavior. I miss the indy movies but cringe to think of how I was treated.

This is an okay cinema hall, my go to place for Bollywood movies. The screens are very dirty, which is what I dont like about it. I wish they replace them.

This little theater is great for seeing those films you just cant find elsewhere. More of the indy and art house films are here than any other theater Ive been too in the Regal family. It is almost never overly busy either so that helps. It does get some of the major releases as well. Recently: Star Wars, Jumanji and Frozen II. So, its not just the smaller release films.

Selling movie tickets at the snack bar in the lobby--why havent I seen this before? Efficient and oh so very tempting three days into New Years Resolutions!

Nice and easy go straight to the register inside. Get your movie ticket and popcorn all at once. Never crowed even on opening nights. Hole in the wall for all Edwards theaters.

Pros: exclusive arthouse films, super easy and close parking, convenient snack bar and bathrooms. Friendly staff.Cons: non-stadium seating and no recliners. Badly in need of a 21st century makeover.

They do not do refunds for concession items after the days sale even though it isnt posted anywhere I had to ask the manager. Also the manager implied that the girl who said they can do refunds was incompetent that she didnt know. Well he didnt want to say she was incompetent but he wanted me to say it when he said Are you calling my staff incompetent? I was shocked to say the least. What kind of company doesnt provide a refund transaction and the reason being to prevent theft when you can very well do the transaction for me. It looks like Im going to have to give you a star when you dont even deserve that much credit because it wont allow me to post with out any!

A large theater that shows more indie and prescreenings than others locally.

Good selection of movies domestic and international, non mainstream flicks, decent theatre just don’t sit close to the walls. Easy in and out theatre, prices not cheap but competitive.

The theater was a 4, the movie was a 2. Guess I shouldn’t fault the theater itself for the movie. Seats were fairly comfortable, but not like the newer recliner seats several theaters offer. Food was moderately priced...we were even able to have a beer.

This place was good a bit cheaper than amc and its closer to our house only thing bad was it was a bit dirty when we went not sure if its a regular thing or not but will definitely return to give it another chance

Good theater, super nice and really cool

Definitely an older age demographic here so don’t be surprised if you’re the only one there under 30! Nothing wrong with that of course but you definitely do not want to be caught with your phone out or talk during the movie, the patrons have no problem telling you to turn it off or stop (I’ve seen it happen to someone else and they probably deserved it). The indie movie selection here is pretty great, which might explain and excuse the higher prices, despite the lack of the nicer recliner chairs. Overall, a nice experience for a casual movie on a weekday.

Be warned. They will make you wait in the long concession lines even if you bought your tickets online. They should be scanning your phone, but they will tell you that their iPads are broken in a sneaky attempt to sell you food. Very questionable business practices going on here.

I like this place because its close to where I live and hosts most of the Bollywood movies.But the seats are too old, and its not a stadium seating arrangement.If you see movie which is there in theaters for more than a week or two, you can definitely notice the change in sound system. Feels like they turnoff the nice quality speakers.

Drove 20 miles to see a film theyd advertised as showing at 7:15. They cancelled the showing, next showing about 3 hours later. They were the only theater around that had that film today. No explanation. No apology.

It’s probably one of the very basic movie theatre run by Regal however I give a good rating since this is only place which plays almost all Bollywood movies. Really helpful for Indian Bollywood movie goers.They accept the Ticket from Costco and also using the Regal card good points can be earned and which can be redeemed in various ways.

Great experience from box office & concessions... THAT IS UNTIL... Very Poor Treatment from their Asst Mgr at 425pm today 7/6/18 in theater #1. So many seniors and disabled patrons (including my mother and I), were flocking to this theater today to beat the 115° heat. Our 230p movie ended at 425p. And literally wasnt finished rolling the credits and not full lights on, when the Asst Mgr came in telling us, and about 20 others to leave now. That the next movie was starting soon and we needed to leave now. Another senior lady was telling him she was looking for something in her purse and would be out shortly. He again told her she needed to leave now, unless she had a ticket for the next movie. Everyone still in there, were definitely seniors and disabled. Id never heard of a movie starting immediately after the last. So upon exiting I asked the ticket taker what movie was coming on next, and when in theater #1. A different movie was going to start at 5:10pm... 40 minutes later. Which was not necessary to kick us all out the way he did. So I asked for his Mgr. The General Mgr came over, and he agreed that it was unacceptable behavior to kick people out like that, and said hed talk to him. Either way, I am posting this. Obviously the management is horrible, or have very poor management skills, as both the General and Asst Mgrs were helping clean. Extremely low staffed for a Friday. After today, we will be going elsewhere, since ADA rules and treatment, are two totally different things to this locations Asst Mgr. The 3 stars is only because of the first 20 minutes associations with the Box Office and concessions.

Easy in and out, theatre was comfy and nearly empty, even tho we saw an Oscar contender for best pic. Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri AND they serve Beer & Wine with your valid ID! To me, ya cant go wrong with a Blue Moon & a bag of Popcorn!

Food options could be better

The theater has good parking but the seating left a lot to be desired. This theater doesnt have stadium seating which is terrible in todays times. If a tall person sits in front of you, then you will not be able to see the movie comfortably. I would only recommend this theater if you got no other option.

Im not of Indian descent, but I love Bollywood movies. Thats the place you can see them. Now why is it that every time we watch the trailers (before the movie), the sound is so loud it blows your ear drums? Whats really upsetting is that, after the trailers, the volume never goes down. You have to, EVERY TIME, go to the front desk and ask the administration to, please, bring the volume down. Now, is it a technical issue? Then fix it!!!!

This theater is generally quiet during the week, but can get pretty busy on weekends. Large parking lot. Good place to catch Hollywood, Bollywood, and independent films. Old school auditorium with low-back seats, no stadium seating. Friendly staff!

Love it! We went during the weekday for a birthday movie celebration, and even though we live far away from this theatre, its worth it. Weve been here about two times. Despite this being a small theatre, I was shocked they show Hindi movies. I guess its because many Indians live in Irvine... But Ive seen Hindi movies like on the birthday celebration and its fun. There is a huge parking area. Other than that its your usual movie theater, popcorn,soda, snacks and the flix. On an unrelated side note, Irvine looks very different at night. Hahaha! But thanks to Edwards for letting me be a rebel and go to the movies during the weeknights, something I would have never seen myself doing. Now if this were a movie rating too, I would have a lot more to say!

Westpark 8 is a very nice theater in Irvine on Alton. On Mondays, they have a discount day for everyone. They show Indie films and foreign, art type films. It easy to get to and there are lots of places around the theater to have dinner after the movie. We enjoy going there.

Been coming to this theater since they first opened in the 90s, never had a bad experience. Great selection of hard to find films. Wish they updated their seats though.

Smaller theater older type seating not stadium. Parking is free. Thus theater tends to get somewhat off beat films so the place to go for films that dont have the wide block buster releases. There are a couple of restaurants so you can eat before or after the show. Handicap parking here is a little hard to find and a bit far away so leave extra time.

Its a small theater. Seats need to be refurbished at least in the theater I sat in. Sidenote: as you enter, mens 1 bathroom is on the leftside and womens 1 bathroom is on the right side of theater.

If you would like to see a non mainstream movie, this is the right place. They have a brilliant selection of movies. But they could use new chairs.

Great selection of independent and foreign films. I remember as a kid the day this place opened in the 90s and Mr Edwards greeted everyone with free soda and popcorn. The signage lights used to be brighter at opening day and people complained it lit up their homes at night so they toned it down.

Why did go here is what I keep asking myself...two of the theatre ushers were smoking crystal meth in the back seating are while I was watching a Disney movie with my kids!I cant believe what is going on in this country??? every where I go it seems like half the population is smoking drugs!I will NEVER attend this theatre again!!!

Nice theater, showing a lot of independent movies. Went to see, The Hero, and ended up finding a nice quiet theater with some friendly staff. Look forward to returning some time.

They show indie films that I cant find outside of LA!

Recently saw a movie in Auditorium #2. The screen was so bad that it felt like watching pirated movie. When checked with the management they said it will take thousands of dollars to fix the screen. If the screen is bad then why run the show in first place? I will not recommend this place.

Great outlet of international movies

You may mistake this for any other huge theater (if you didnt see the number 8), however, this movie specializes in indie/foreign/art house films!I watched Princess Kaguya and The Imitation Game here and was able to use my Regal vouchers from Costco with no problems.Seating is not stadium style, but I havent had an issue where it was so packed that I couldnt see past a sea of tall heads.From what Ive seen the theaters are clean, sound is great, and the screens dont have crap on them.Solid place for the unique films to be shown here!

Good movie.

The theater was clean and I feel like they usually have good service. But I came when they first opened and they opened after their opening time which is supposed to be 11:30 I presume. While I was waiting there they didnt even acknowledge my existence and once they finally served me they didnt apologize at all for the wait or talk to me in any way.

I often go to the Edwards Westpark 8 to see recent releases and art films. Its a great neighborhood theater which also screens Bollywood movies on a regular basis.

I took my 4 year old son to this movie theater to see Delhi a supposedly children animation. The trailers (coming soon / sneaks) were all violent with too many fight scenes, very inappropriate for kids. We dont let our son watch violent shows on TV or even violent animations. He asked me several times why the people in the movie punch an kick each other.Anyways, after the movie start we realized that it was a foreign language movie! neither on Google nor on their own website, there was no explanation about this. Before going to movie I checked several times to make sure that the movie is in English language. Even the animations trailer was in English language.So I decided to talk to the Theater manager. A guy just say hi and gazed at me with stone face. I politely explained my concerned and told him to forward my concerns to the Regal Crown or whatever company manages their theater. He answered in quick aha, OK (if youre done let me go back to my work). That was when I decided to ask him for a comment/feedback form and also to write a review for their very poor management and customer service.

I love this theatre there is always a lot of parking, it is very clean, the employees are nice, and it is never crowded. They play movies I actually want to see and some I didnt know I wanted to see until I looked them up. Top notch Artists theatre!

Its a good movie theater but not anywhere compared to AMC

Went to see, wont you be my neighbor, for the second time. Loved it and everything was very clean and the popcorn was delicious!
