Love that Boomers is taking this time to upgrade their park. The golf course looks so nice new carpet on course and paint on buildings. We really enjoyed the outside patio with the oversized games. We have been season pass holders for two years and hope to keep it going as a fun small park for kids to enjoy.
Miniature golf course very old and needs freshened up. Also need staff enforce the number of people on the course. There where 2 groups of people that had 5 to 6 in there group and only 3 had masks on and they where not following the safety rules of the park. The staff never came out side to see if the guests where flowing safety rules ( i.e. # in a group, climbing all over equipment, hitting everything they could with there golf clubs, playing in the water and retrieving their golf balls out of the water, extra) We left (for our own health and safety) because it became to crowded
Staff was great; helpful, patient. Good mix of activities even with current restrictions but will be better when all is allowed. Great for under 21, especially 7 to 17 Id say. Go have fun
Awesome experience, hardly anyone one there. My children and I did the Go-Karts 9 times and miniature golf 3 times with very little wait. Recommend the 4 hours unlimited pass. Definitely worth it!
We loved Boomers! Irvine! especially my husband we couldnt get him off of the water slides. It is such a fun place for the entire family... from toddlers to the elderly there is something fun for everyone. We stayed a couple of nights, the rooms are very clean. I saw the way they clean the rooms and they even take out the filter from the A/C in every room and clean it... something most hotels dont do, and as an allergy sufferer I was very glad to see that. The room had a nice size fridge, microwave, coffee maker and snacks.
Ten Buck Tuesdays? Is this deal for real?Teacup, locomotive and horse rides (on Merry Go Round) were great for our small child. She was excited for mini golf. However, we only made it to hole 7. She then threw her golf cubs in and wanted to go back to the ridesWe would go back to Boomers for the water park activities and the tea cup ride.
I love this place! I hadnt been in probably 20 years since taking my nephew and I returned with my toddler for a few hours of fun. My mom, sister, son and I all loved it! It is so cute and there are many places to explore all while surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees and plants. I still have my yellow key from when I was a kid but didnt take it when we went but I will soon. Im looking forward to going back!
We went for carts and mini golf, place was pretty empty, but it was in the early afternoon. Good service, clean place to go. Had fun.
Poor Boomers. Unfortunately it seems like their days are numbered, mostly in part to COVID-19.Went on 9/4/20 and it was relatively empty. They only have a few things open: miniature golf, go-karts, batting cages. They at least put a little money into the golf course and fixed it up a bit. Several of the rides have been removed - dont know the reason though.Id hate to see this place close and have more apartment buildings added.
Miniature golf is great- outdoor, spacious. Snack/food available through outdoor window. Go-karts and batting cages are open. Fun option to get outdoors.
Nice place for both adults and kids, and some really fun arcade games.
Very limited amenities are open to Covid. Under new ownership. Visited the go karts. They need to go faster.
Went with my mom on a random Wednesday to play mini golf.Took a while to find anyone who actually worked there () but after that it was fine.Destroyed my mom at mini golf before dropping like $60 in the arcade (which makes the games I used to play when I was a kid look like Atari.Def recommend for kids or adult fun alike (they serve beer in the restaurant now!)
Only soft ball, Go karts and mini golf is available right now
The food at Boomers is not bad oil is Always used for making French French fries and Chicken dose not smell boomers is Awesome for kids any kids at any age can go and play at boomers
The outdoor activities are decently maintained, but the arcade is sweltering and there were maybe two employees working concessions. It cost me ten dollars for two Gatorades from a vending machine that wouldnt give me correct change. Overall a decent place for a fun date or small children but lacking in some areas.
Great place for kids. Always fun to be had. Note that on slow days not all of the rides will be open. This place always feels like its in need of a face lift. Paint and turf on the mini golf course are worn/peeling. The employees are there to do a job. They arent rude or mean, but they arent friendly either. Which is a bummer especially in the party rooms where at other places the party hosts really set a fun environment for the kids.
Ive never been there but I bet it is a cool place
Fun experience. Good customer service. Good family environment.
We stayed in a pool villa for two days and had a great time. The pool was a bit smaller than expected based on the imagery, but that didnt kill any of the fun our kids had in it. It comes with preferred check-in, complimentary drinks and finger foods in the afternoon as well as a fantastic breakfast in the restaurant. The facilities are all very clean, the staff is very friendly and overall we had a fantastic time!
Fun for the children. Reasonably priced. All the employees seem unhappy, not rude or disrespectful but just seem like theyre counting the seconds until they can clock out.Food was ok, but the wait to get your food is ridiculously long....around 40 minutes.A lot of nice rides for children 5 and younger. The go carts are fun for the adults. Decent arcade/ video games inside.
One of the largest one in the chain. They offer multiple attractions. Make sure your kid is tall enough for certain activities / attractions since the staff is very trict at making sure that. Most of the equipments are pretty new and in good shape. We bought the boomers card deal online w 275 preloaded for just 200. 5 kids spent $275 for 5 hours.
Very fun, I only tried the laser tag and arcade. The staff was respectful and nice, The laser tag room and the games in the arcade were very clean.
The seasons pass is an absolute value for money! Perfect for families which live in OC area. If the kids at bored at home, just drive them to boomers and theyll thank you its a good place for adults too. The activities will keep you coming again and again
We always have so much fun at this place. The membership is totally worth getting
I have been coming to here to hang out since it was called Palace Park. It has some neat miniature rides making it a nice alternative family hangout if you dont want the hassle of going to Disneyland. As an arcade they went the casual friendly route with their selection of games which is kind of disappointing to me since it used to carry truly great arcade games, but its understandable in this age.
Make no mistake, this is a kid oriented and kid friendly location for arcade and outdoor activities including a baseball cage, small and large go kart tracks, waterpark, a small amusement park. The kids love it here and want to come back day after day. Prices are based on filling up a card for the arcade which you can then tap to use on each machine. Outdoor movements require payment for access or the same use of the tap card. All of the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Sometimes hard to get a hold of the staff but they are certainly friendly and accommodating. Will continue to bring the kids back again
Great family outing. Buy the annual pass, well with the money. We got 2x the value in just one day.
Best game selection fun for the whole family
Boomers! Irvine Miniature Golf comments... This is not meant to be slander or retaliatory as a one star. I do honestly feel the comments are accurate. For tl;dr... I suspect local management is not tracking safety, cleanliness or playability for this golf park. I suggest Boomers! Fountain Valley or Camelot Anaheim. Boomers! is a chain of family fun parks that contain many attractions; video games, miniature golf, water rides and mini bumper cars. This review is more detailed towards the Irvine locations miniature golf attraction... From the entrance walk directly to the rear doors. Outside, make a sharp right and youll be at a desk to purchase miniature golf, other activities OR passes. Note fun passes are a way of pre-purchasing all-you-can-use activities. This is within some restrictions, active word being restrictions, buyer be warned and read all fine print... Miniature golf is currently per single play $12 per adult at this location. The counter person offered choice of ball color and issued clubs. Then pointed us left side of the batting cages. The course start is a little lower in elevation from the ticket counter so the directions were appreciated. A bonus due to lack of signage would have been a quick blurb that two red or blue courses were available for play... TIP *** Right off the bat youll see a large RULES sign, there is no welcome sign or sign that says HOLE #1 here. So note, there are two courses; a red and a blue course. We noticed most people were going right of the rules sign, the blue course hole #1 sign is closer and easier to see. The red course is to the left of the rules sign and about 25ft ahead. More on red course later, LOLz. From here on, no brainer, blue course blue signs and course accents, red course red stuff. As for the quality of the courses, see posted images but courses are pretty beat up. Green course surface material is worn, water stained, torn and uneven in many places. Both courses are ringed and bordered with brick. Because of the random mortar sections in the brick, the ball can bounce off more randomly than courses with different border material. The landscaping was quite run down. Towards the back north east side close to the freeway, large patches of dirt and weeds could be seen. I know its drought conditions but there are drought tolerant plants. Also many bushes were over grown not trimmed flush or uneven looking. Last, there were several mini structures as expected at a mini golf course. For example, a typical windmill and generic eastern looking temple were seen. Id say 80% of the structures were badly in need of paint. The exception here was the mining (?) structure and the 18th hole structure (see pics). From a safety standpoint, some of the wood posts had been vandalized (?) or were worn and very splitered. The benches also had a sag to them when you sat. As for lighting, many light fixtures were missing the top head, so just a post and a bulb. Some posts, even main lights were bent over. For the LOLz, the red course also has too many holes (?) We noted an older hole numbering system in the actual concrete. Most of these numbers were so worn, there wasnt any paint on them. Also some of these numbers did not match the current blue/red course scheme (see pics). So expect two holes, one with a scraped out number and one with a number 16 just before the marked red course 17. Most disappointing was the water feature closest to blue course. The filtration system was off so green algae was lightly growing on the waterline. Several bits of trash were in the water. Its acceptable for a large amount of trash just to be floating for guests to see?? Dear reader if I havent lost you, theres a few simple expectations for a miniature golf park; safety, playability and pleasing landscape. This park fails mostly on all three for me sadly to report. In comparison weve played Boomers! Fountain Valley and Camelot Anaheim (see review). No I dont work at a competing park.
Cant beat the annual pass... Unlimited rides for a fraction of a price. Good place to take kids to kill time instead of playing with their electronic devices. This location is clean.
I rode the go karts for the first time with my daughter and my daughter was nervous about how fast they go. An employee named Laura noticed she was scared and was incredibly nice and calmed her down. She told her she was going to be very safe and that she would help her into the kart. Awesome service!!
Even though some rides are closed my family and I had a fantastic time and I think people just look at the customers for not being there bit there are many rides and its hard for them!PS: ( I had a great time keep it up BOOMER!)
Good experience, crew is respectful and give a good service, restroom clean. Didnt try food because I wasnt hungry. I will recommend to buy annual pass, pays for itself and you can use it in others locations too. Not all attraction were open this time. There is a lot of parking.
Fun even for adults, its small and offers go karts, mini golf, water boat racing, laser tag and arcades. Would recommend season pass it you plan on going more than once.
Boomers Is essentially a mini amusement park. Its got rides, a go kart track and mini golf. They are all affordable, go karts are my favorite. Golfing is really fun too. The only problem with the rides and the golf course is that they are a little old and it shows. They also have an arcade, it has all the usual things you would expect at an arcade except they also have Lazer tag. Thats also really fun to play. No problems with the arcade. To sum it up if you dont mind going to an amusement park thats a little old then this should be a good time.
I love going to that place before my season pass changed i loved the racing on the go karts with my brother and sister on the rides the wet bumper boats during the summer when it was hot and the golf where we explore the miniature world of golfland the food and drinks were good there i always blew up there means had a lot of fun
This is a super fun place for kids of all ages (including grown ups) BUT be prepared for nickle and dime type charges. For example, if your child is too small to go on a ride themselves, you will be required to ride with them (even if you cant ride, like the carousel, you stand next to them) and they will charge you for both your child and yourself. Especially on the carousel, this is kind of ridiculous and uses up your points quick. However the rides are fun, we have a great time, and thus 4 stars because overall it is a place we have gone more than once and enjoy each time.
Its a nice place for kids and adults . The season pass is specially beneficial if u come frequently :)
The being cages did NOT work well. We were in a hurry, and thought done settings would help by daughter before a tournament game. In 45 minutes, she was only able to get the sessions in, because the natives were not working correctly.
This place should be updated and expanded to fill the glory it did back in the day. Just a thought, make it like Dave N Busters throw a bar in the space, some fair, sport type stuff and boom, middle class folks there every week dropping cash for drinks and games all the time. And its not cause Im too big for bumper boats and laser tag now or anything...
They need to add faster go-karts and another race track. Other than that is a good family spot.
Great amusement to make my kid happy and energetic! We keep coming here from another city even though my city has boomers! Highly suggest to parents!
Good atmosphere. Thematic bar in the same complex (5 second walk). Good drinks great service.
Great place to bring the kids for a few hours of fun. There are plenty of video games to keep them busy and entertained on hot or rainy days. Plus, great fun outdoors . The go carts are very popular with the kids
Went with my fiance and a a group of friends. We all had the best time. Mini golf was a lot of fun, wish the water fountains were in use and the lights kept turning off which made it hard to play at night. Our main complaint was that we called and the woman on the phone said it was 30 dollars for unlimited everything for the day and it was actually 50 when we got there. Basically be prepared to spend a lot but also to have a lot of fun!
Boomers is an all Day family fun center. It can get pricy if you dont buy a day or annual pass so make sure to do that. If you have kids you cant beat it for local entertainment. Go-carts, laser tag, bumper boats, rock climbing tons of video games, miniature golf, a water park and tons of other County fair type attractions.
Its a pretty fun place. Lots of things to do. Nice prices for passes.
Need to manage to go carts better, so many kids get off the ride and cut right back into the front. Employees dont see it or are not comfortable confronting them. Poorly managed.
Tried to break in but security got me
Not bad. I feel like some of the rides are short for the price you pay. But kids find it fun.
The games are clean and presentable. The rides, however, need some work. As do the cages and the golf course. I mean everything is up and running but its not well maintained and the pitching machines tend to break down more often than not.
Played a round of mini golf, the course was in pretty good condition, but not perfect. The staff were very pleasant. The lighting on the holes could be a little better, but we will definitely go there again.
Thumbs down...dont waste your We were extremely unhappy with our visit. First I called before we left and asked if all the attractions were open and they said yes... which was not true. The VR was closed, two rides were broken and half the time there was no one to run the bumper boats. Next, all the employees were inexperienced, EXTREMELY unhappy, most were rude and very young. I didnt see ANY of them smile. Another annoyance was that it honestly took 15 minutes to make fries. It was truly disappointing especially considering how much it costs. The water area was cooling but I wouldnt call it a water park which was my fault to think of it that way before visiting. The arcade was fun, but no funner than any other arcade in, say a movie theater. All in all I would strongly advise not wasting your money here, and I would advise Boomers to hire employees that enjoyed their job... maybe ones that actually smiled and had basic customer service. Two thumbs down
Big facility♡ lacking in the helpfulness department. But all in all a great place to take the family
This one is better than the other locations. The season pass is a deal but you get what you pay for. They dont have enough staff and many times you have to wait for an operator to come and control the ride. Lines are short but you wait a long time. Expect to wait half hour for the popular rides. Havent tried the water park yet. Parking is free.
I was sad their water slide wasnt open.
The rides were fun but they had spiders and webs on it. as well as some other places like the tables and umbrellas. other then that the outdoor area was very fun especially the go karts.
My family and I go to Boomers often and usually have a good time. My cousin loves to ride the go karts. Before the ride starts, they announce that bumping other karts is NOT allowed, and while riding with my cousin a woman bumped into our kart behind us, creating whiplash; my cousin ended up getting a nasty bruise on her leg bumping hard into the wheel. The woman seemed to notice that she was at fault, but did not apologize. She seemed like a reckless driver, and was never escorted off the ride. Even though that rule is emphasized, crew workers dont seem to care about anybody bumping into each other. This occurred a good while ago.
Typically not busy if you come in the weekdays. Buccaneer cove is great for the kids, theres only one way in & out. Theres one race track which is lots of fun. My 6 year old absolutely loves the rock climbing wall. An associate, JAIRO, was EXTREMELY helpful. He kept falling and he helped him up again. Mini golf is excellent too, & theres also an arcade if you arent an outside type of person lol
Fun place! Love the batting cages!
The staffs are not organized and respectful. They are so slow and unfriendly. When we wanted to register, I still cant believe that it took 90 minutes. Because the girl in the customer service was very slow. She really wasted our time. Furthermore, they suddenly decide to close one ride without any notification and dont care about people even children who were in that rides line.
Amazing place to have fun with friends or for a little date. highly recommend the all day pass as youre able to play mini golf, laser tag, use the go-karts, try the rock climb, etc; for only ~$55.00.
Always have a good time here. Some of the attractions are showing their age but nothing is in disrepair.
Miniature golf including for kids ages for and up. Go carts for kids at least 42 tall. Batting cage. Refuse for smaller kids. Game arcade and snack bar indoors. Good family outing.
Great fun for the kids and the parents. Recommended if you live close or plan on more then visit this year to purchase the boomers play pass multiple locations available..especially if you like to go carts p pays for itself fast!
Pretty fun place, many things to do, the personnel was kind and hard working, specially Laura, she helped us find the funniest things to do.
The Halloween decorations were a bit much for a family themed recreation center. Two of the kids in my party were disturbed by all the macbre clowns.Lots of activities to do. We enjoyed laser tag, go karts rock climbing, mini golf, the arcade...
Great place for kids.
Good place too kill 2-3 hours. They have a deal right now for a whole year $49
Run down mini golf course with very few creative/interesting holes, empty rivers with trash, ripped up putting greens, overpriced.
They place wasn’t fun as it was on commercials, TOO CROWDED and the amount time you wait is not fair when you race in go karts, you wait like almost 1 hour and you get to ride less than 10 minute, seriously. There’s only one thing is fun which I already talked about the go karts race but it doesn’t worth of your patience. It didn’t make us happy we were like 10 people and everybody was unsatisfied.
Had a great time golfing, gocarts and the video games were really fun. First time I enjoyed arcade games since the 90s
Great place and had tons of fun! The party staff are very helpful and made sure my nephews birthday was a success!
Plenty of rides for kids with shaded spots for the adults to sit while the kids play. They have a go kart track for adults too. They also have a air conditioned arcade that has laser tag.
Dont believe the hype. I took my 2 kids and their friend to the Irvine Boomers for my daughters birthday on 04/13/2018. I purchased season passes for approximately $50/each and was told it didnt include the arcade area. Well, it also didnt include the batting cages. Many of the machine card readers were inoperable. The batting cages is a do it yourself station with helmets and bats available out in the open. The miniature golf course was overrated. The surrounding area was in need of serious landscaping. Green water filled with golf clubs looked similar to a fish tank that hadnt been cleaned in ages. The water park or water area was devoid of water and only reminded you how hot it was and how thirsty you were. The water bumper boats were not working but I did see a mechanic trouble shooting. My kids enjoyed the pizza ($22) icee and nachos, an afternoon snack thatll set you back nearly $45. Bumper cars were available for children in 2 different areas; those above 36 inches and those a bit shorter. On a positive note children 36 inches and shorter are allowed to drive alone, a convenience you may not find at other boomers; ironically no bumping is allowed. This destination is worth the outing if you enter without expectations. Staff may not always be manning the attractions so be patient and ask for assistance. The one thing I found rewarding is that although I was heavily disappointed in this Irvine location Im glad my children have a year pass that includes other locations. Im hoping boomers redeems itself in area beautification, machine maintenance and customer service. Thank you.
Traditional fun place..putt putt, go karts, laser tag, games, etc. It was clean and a fun Friday night activity
Tips for annual pass holders:Yes, the pass is valid on SpeedZone and all Boomers locations, which is awesome. But it’s ONLY for the RIDES, mini golf, etc. All the other add-on perks are NOT VALID outside of your “home” park (e.g. the location you purchased the pass from). For example, if your pass comes with perks of restaurant discount, free bring-a-friend pass, cash for arcade games, and so on.... NONE of that is valid outside of your “home” park.Between the parks, their system is not integrated and can’t scan your pass, therefore can’t verify you. They will issue you a one-day temporary pass to use at that location when you show them your annual pass.We visited the Upland Boomers, and it’s the same process.Come prepared with this in mind so you won’t be disappointed. They have lots more rides for little kids than SpeedZone has, so our kids had a great time. Food was mediocre, but what do you expect. It’s there for the convenience. Passable.
This place was fantastic. Thats ALL I can say. Its like Chuckie cheese for grown-ups. From the rock wall climbing to go karts. They had 2 amusement rides as well. But were closed day we went. Inside is all the games you could ever ask for.
My daughter and her friends went there, and had an amazing time.
Mini golf is fun but the course is short and not too challenging. Poorly staffed but it was mid day Tuesday so maybe its better on the weekends. Go Karts was mellow and fun. Arcade small but clean and fun
Great place to take the entire family. Everything from golf, to a race track to lazery tag. Theses a very simple restaurant that offers chicken, hot dogs and pizza. Get a pass thay covers it all and go have some fun.
A great place for youth and adults to have fun.
Excellent self care event hosted by Crime Survivors!
Nice place to play arcade games...
Fun for the kids as long as you have a season pass. Arcade gets too expensive to enjoy.
It was alright only had three attractions opened the mini golf the go karts and baseball
The kitchen staff was amazing. Thank you to vivian, eymi, misa, Jennifer and sami. The pizza is amazing. I will be going there again
For the first time for our family it was good and fun place!
Fun good food very busy
Most of the staff is avoiding customers. They book the wrong type of event for a party and didnt correct it.Literally watched the game times skip faster once you got closer to the jackpots.Game timers also lower than most boomers.
Kids love it there. The year passes are the way to go!
Huge fun place to play !
Both locations lack customer service and well trained employees. These kids have no idea how to operate the rides properly let alone give you a straight answer when you have a question. Save your money.
Its fun to go to the pass is 50 bucks and u get to go to different places
So much potential, so little maintenance. The facility has a ton of once-great areas and activities. Its really run down, especially the miniature golf course. It needs serious attention. Water features were dried up and dirty. Carpet was torn. Landscaping had weeds everywhere and just basically hasnt been kept up. And there was trash scattered around the courses. Again, lots of potential ... but management and owners need to get on it. The inside arcade looked better kept.
Great fun for the kids and the parents. Recommended if you live close or plan on more then visit this year to purchase the boomers play pass multiple locations available
