Its basically a really nice walking path next to a canal that seems to serve no other purpose. There is a lot of art installations, memorials, and nice things to look at. It seemed really peaceful the couple of times I went. There is even housing along parts of the canal. There are a museums along it as well in case you want to pop out and do something different. You can even access the zoo from the one end.
What a fantastic resource for Indianapolis. The newly renovated stage is a real positive game changer for upcoming events! One of the features is hidden inside the new stage tower. There is a SkyDeck wire tension grid installed that makes working on show rigging safe and easy. It is the same technology the large arena venues are beginning to use to get shows in and out of the venue in record time.
Stinks with sewer smell... But its a great place to mountain bike. There is also access to White River for fishing but not kayaking... Unless you were willing to walk through the woods for about 30 meters with a boat
Peaceful park in the city. Lots of arts and space. The visitor center is helpful also.
Theres no words. You seriously have to come here yourself to experience its true beauty! From the trails to the canal, like.... this would be the number one reason why Id move to Indianapolis. If youre visiting this city for the first time like me, rent a bike and go on a self-tour all around downtown on the first day if you can. Itll definitely set the excitement and atmosphere for the rest of your stay here like it did to us!
Nice and safe. Very clean. They offer electric bikes and big paddle boats. Places to sit and they have concessions. Not to far from the zoo.
The was a serenity place. Lots of ways to travel bike, scooter and paddle boat. The park was beautiful. I enjoyed the time I was there.
If it is Summer and you are not at White river park, definitely you are missing something. Beautiful place to be close with the nature. Kids can play, adults can workout, dogs can have fun. The best part of Indianapolis. Go and enjoy the nature and make it yours with the fresh air.
Beautiful scenery, I recommend the mr. And ms hot dog stand nearby its pretty good and its cheap. Itd be great for a first date at night time when the light are on
Very beautiful park right in downtown of Indianapolis. So many things to do And runs right along with the canal great place for exercise taking a walk with the friend or even a Romantic boat ride down the canal the zoo is also right there and so many things to walk to go across the street and catch a baseball game
Just the beauty is amazing.. we have a pretty city
White river state park is marvelous theirs amazing art pictures u can see when u walk around an so many other amazing things to see
Nice green space by the river. Ive seen music and outdoor theatre shows here. I love it.
This park is wonderful. I was able to roaming around those beautiful areas.
Lovely and amazing park. It gives me so much fun and excitement.
Its mostly a nice place to walk and bike during the day but it suffers from some poor management. They dont maintain the lighting and landscaping in the sidewalks especially by the White River West Drive, so it is not as joyful as it supposed to be for walking after sunset.Littering is another unresolved issue and the trash bins are not placed appropriately. The bridge construction has a lot of cracks and the concrete edges are falling apart. The canal is also smelling like sewer or some chemicals especially by the White River drainage waterfall.
Oh and Im really really sorry to the girl that I strong-armed for a guitar pick This venue is beautiful never been there before we had a great time Sammy Hagar rocked was actually blown away by the performance by Night Ranger they were rocking it out got to ride a bicycle Rickshaw back to the parking garage 2 that was sweet never got to do that before thank you Roy K Smith for everything youre such a sweetheart. And Im really really sorry to the girl I had to strong-arm to get the guitar pick away it flew right through my hands between her feet but I was on it
This venue was absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be coming back as this venue is way better than ours in our Hometown in Cincinnati Ohio! This was so worth the hotel and the 2.5 hour trip!
The White River Park is a place of calm it wines along the river towards downtown area with very scenic view of of downtown in between a cooling Rockwall you come out on the old Washington Street Bridge
Good walk before the Covid affected 500. Kudos to The Captain for making the right decision. As for the walk, enjoyed the scenery and the people!!!
Did a taco Tuesday ride there staff was great had a wonderful time
Had a nice evening walk! Great place to vide out on a weekend evening
This is such a nice clean park. Was there to support a marathon runner and was very impressed with the park and the city. Nice going Indy!!
I really enjoy visiting here. This place is wonderful.
So nice and beautiful! The sidewalks could use some repairs (cracks or lifted patches) but otherwise a very scenic walkway with lots of activity. Murals under the bridges are really amazing!
Beautiful scenery and calm atmosphere. Walking along the canal was a wonderful family outing.
Great place for a nice stroll along the canal and a nature walk. There is plenty to do and see all around the park and canal.
Played a concert here last night and had a blast. Great venue and staff. Awesome vibes.
One of my favorite places to go on a walk in Indianapolis. The park is quite massive with several paved walking trails throughout. There are bikes available to rent and its close to monument circle. If youre in downtown Indy and have some time to kill I suggest you take a walk or just sit and relax in the park.
Love visiting here. So much to see and do. Great launching point for walking the downtown canal. See concerts here too. Walk over to the the zoo and gardens. Hang out by the White River. Step across to Victory Field, the home of the Indianapolis Indians.
Such a wonderful park. It was so relaxing and calm.
Awesome walk. Love the canal area and the walk bridge over the river.
I love fishing here. Lots of Small mouth, catfish, and blue gill. Also a great place to exercise utilizing the trail for biking, jogging, or casual walking. Excellent place to kill some time
So pretty and relaxing. Convenient bike rentals
Beautiful, clean and well maintained park. I went there for an event on Saturday. Loved it so much that I ended up going there again the following two days, even though my allergies were killing me. I seem to be very allergic to whatever is in the park that not even my allergy meds are helping. Nothing a few giant packets of tissue can’t fix.Have not made it inside the zoo or the butterfly garden yet because I found a very comfy bench ended and tree and lost track of time in a book. It was so relaxing I didn’t realize several hours had passed.I did take a walk along the Promenade one day, it was very quiet with an occasional jogger or cyclists passing by. The trail was very tranquil, but it felt safe even without a lot of people because of the security cameras scattered along the route.
Peaceful and serene. The sunset views are also pretty.
The hiking trails are so nice. Beautiful scenery.
Amazing views and plenty of shade. Rented a bike to go around was very nice.
Much better than expected! Wonderful idea.
Went for a walk on the canal a d stopped by to rent out a quad bike. It was really fun and enjoyable. Would go ever weekend if I could.
Nice place to hang if you are @downtown Indy.
Great place for tourists to explore the city!
Nice place to walk if you stick with the canal or Zoo.
Not being from Indy, I wasnt exactly sure what to expect from this urban park, but on a recent, not-quite-warm, but otherwise sunny spring day I found the park to rather pleasant and easy to appreciate. The Park itself has a nice blend of green space and walking paths mixed in with some artwork and access to several museums as well as the scenic canal walk.
Beautiful place, loved the closeness to the zoo (walking distance). Lovely scenery. Went for the Wizards Unite Fan Fest and had a rad time. Parking in the structure is a bit iffy, staying over 6hrs is $40 and up.
Approached the White River State Park via the Canal Walk. It was Great! Plenty of Historical sites along the way! ADA accessible also!
Lots of walking, people watching, art, biking, paddle board, museums and lots more. Loving it.
I took my husband there last month he didnt even know it existed he love is it
Great place to walk around with access to the canal.
Great place to send an afternoon. Lots to do and see. The museums are nearby and you are only a short distance from Victory Field.
Enjoy this place with your family. It is so exciting and you can have fun in different ways
Its so beautiful and clean, and great for workout
Always fun to step away from the city at the river!
I always have lots of fun bringing my puppy out for walks here!! It’s very nice and clean and there’s a lot to see
Beautiful area designed for casual walks, art and social gathering. Wonderful place to be for a concert.
One of the places you must visit if you come to Indianapolis. They have put their best efforts to make this place enjoyable.
One of my favorite places to walk downtown! The canal is a beautiful location that is well upkept with plenty of entertainment options. I highly recommend visiting this city park and will return many more times in the future.
I love walking the canal or running it, but i hate when bikes are on it and those four-person bikes. If theyre going to allow both bikes and pedestrians, they need to have it be one way as half bike half pedestrian, or just no bikes at all.
Awesome venue! Saw Night Ranger and Sammy Hagar and it was AWESOME. Food vendors were great too!
You can either walk or bike, either way you sure will enjoy it. Next to the museum, Imax theater and the canal. Bike rentals available, so much fun!
Beautiful setting. The canal is great, as well as the gardens. Paddleboat and kayak rentals.
We enjoyed walking and seeing the interesting sculptures by the river. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if the sun was shinning.
Beautiful. walking the canal is awesome!
Its in short walking distance from the convention center and many hotels. Its beautiful. Water, waterfalls, smooth paths, ducks, turtles - very relaxing
Beautiful sites for a romantic getaway on a nice day bring a blanket and pack a lunch and you have a romantic date.
Fun time nice views small children might get scared if you are on the mono trail it has steep hills with no rails that goes straight to the water and they have a bike rental as well as a boat rental for the canal which is connected to the park the zoo is connected to the park and mono trail across the street is the baseball park and J.W. MARRIOT as well as Fridays and the convention center as well as a IMAX theater inside the history museum the Indiana history museum is down the street besides the government building.
Wonderful walking paths along the canal with much to see and enjoy. Very clean and well maintained.
Beautiful ... Great place to spend a day or evening being active with family and friends. Every time you go back you find something you missed before. Lots of fun and good memories to be made!
It was amazing and very clean. We wish there were some nearby bathrooms but it is such a beautiful area.
Awesome awesome place to see
Amazing place to walk or bike. Good exercise and great scenery!
Fun to take our team to paddle boatMrMikeBishop.com
Beautiful landscape. Clean
Cool venue. Overpriced beer. They provide lawn chairs!
My husband and I rented the paddle boat for 1 hour. We had a good time.
Lovely place for outdoors. I couldnt walk the entire park today but the little I saw is beautiful
Excellent green space in the middle of the city.
Great atmosphere, very clean, friendly help/security! Over all wonderful experiences! Will definitely return!
Great place to get outside and walk, run, picnic whatever your fancy. Nice and clean very well maintained during my visit will go again if back in Indy.
This place is beautiful nice and clean place
I havent been here in several years but enjoyed the time I spent here. The park is beautiful and the canal walk was unexpectedly quiet and peaceful, especially for being in downtown Indianapolis. Its conveniently close to the zoo also. Parking can be an issue so give extra time to find a spot or pay to park which can be a bit pricey.
We came to see REO Speedwagon in concert. The venue is a pretty awesome place to see a concert. On this night they provided chairs to us at no cost, but it looks like they could carry a rental fee at times. It was a beautiful night. The staff were courteous and efficient. Drinks are outrageously priced. Plan on $5 or more for water or pop. $15 or more for beer or other drinks. Also plan on showing up early. Parking was at a premium. All of the close lots were full, including the Mariott. Parking at the Mariott is $34. We found a spot across from the Mariott for $20. There are two other venues within blocks of each other, so it can be busy. A great way to get around town are the BIRD electric scooters. Just grab one, activate it through the app, and fly around town. Overall we had a great time and after ate at Giordanos. Look for a review of that too. It was good!
Very open and not elbow to elbow people, plus its family friendly. You can really step back and enjoy the show and no matter where you are, you can see the stage. Parking was $15 and drinks were reasonable given the area. Food was priced decently and we enjoyed what we had (pizza). We loved the music and the venue.Highly recommend this venue and we will definitely be see shows here in the future!
GORGEOUS park! The views are spectacular and its peaceful and serene.
A peaceful place where you can.just sit down and.enjoy the sunshine but be prepared for.parking fees
This is a great venue... I really enjoyed the food trucks
It is a very beautiful and relaxing place to visit
Happy fathers day to my love...my life...my always &forever I love u Erin
The canal was AWESOME. I recommend this place as a everyone can go.
Had a great time! They have free use oflawn chairs!
Beautiful place for a well run triathalon!
Great place to walk, run or ride bikes
This is an amazing park. Beautifully placed, lots to see and fo. Artwork everywhere and the canal and bridges are relaxing. $40 parking though?
