Its cool this time of year so the beach is closed but the lake is beautiful and calm as the sun sets. The trees are shedding colorful leaves and the area could hardly be more pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable to spend some time in
Nice park, very clean. A beautiful lake after sunset. Road and air traffic sounds.
Natural area well maintained but not parklike.
Dont get confused by the word beach this is NOT a beach, we werent even allowed WADE in the water! Now, back in the day, maybe but if youre looking for a beach, its NOT this place.
NO SWIMMING! Cannot get out of boats to swim.Swim beach is subpar the Jersey shore- minus the needles.Constantly unable to get kayaks.Rentals close 1.5 hours prior to site closing, so if you are waiting in line at that time (even though we waited more than an hour in line), you will be sent away without a rental. Its also less of a creek and more of a lake, so, sunscreen.
I love my time at the park is so beautiful awesome day
Giving a 1 star review because it is physically impossible to give no stars. Swim area is tiny, goose feces everywhere, there is no sand beach, admission is expensive, everybody must take a swim test, and even after passing said test everyone must wear life vests (including adults). Do not waste your money here. The government cannot run anything properly; spend your money at a private establishment instead.
Its nice place
Beautiful place. 4 stars because of the dismembered fish, overflowing trash cans and not enough potties
Its great for people watching on the Wipe Out inflatables and wearing the kiddos out so theyll sleep good. I gave 4 stars because I wish there was an area to sit in the water. Great place and watchful lifeguards.
There someone park in both of handicap parking spot they didnt have a permit for handicapped a lot of trash and debris around the dock it used to be a really nice area
I have to believe the pretty pictures posted are from another part of the park. We love Eagle Creek but the “beach” area is 0% maintained. Weeds and goose poop everywhere. A small, muddy spot to swim in and if you’re not swimming you either sit on metal bleachers in the weeds or on a towel in weeds + goose poop. It has the potential to be REALLY cool, but the reality is very disappointing.
I love everything about this park. Its so beautiful! I am going on a train tun there in just a little over a week and I am super excited! I love spending time here.
Younger kids love it and its clean and safe
This place is a scam. You have to pay $5 to get in. If you want to go swimming it’s $5 per kid and $6 per adult. Also, everyone has to take a swim test and EVERYONE has to wear a life vest at all times in the water. There is NO beach! 2 feet of sand is not considered a beach. Also there is goose poop everywhere and the tables are not maintained. Why pay $5 and another $5/$6 for a disgusting park.
What beach?! Are you kidding me?
The bike riding was fun. The beach was great but The water was very dirty. The life guards were very in helpful.
Good fishing place for you and the kids. Plenty of walking trails to explore.
Good place for family outings.fishing.canoeing.
Not worth the money. There’s no space to swim because the float toys take up all the space and everyone needs to wear a life vest to get in the water. The area itself is gross: the picnic tables are falling apart, there’s no sand, and there’s goose poop all over the place.
Beautiful scenery. Good running trails
We had an amazing time at this beach!! The inflatable obstacle course, trampoline and UFO are great fun for kids and adults
Love it i go there all year round
Beautiful view
Love the Wednesday night concert series. Absolutely relaxing and a great way to spend time with friends.
I used to come here as a child. It was great in the 90’s! Now it’s a disgusting place to visit. There’s an over abundance of goose feces, pink slimy things, garbage, dirty diapers, and all kinds of other things on the grounds near the picnic shelters, tables, grills, and parking lots. Trash cans are always overflowing. I watched a family change their toddler’s diaper and throw it on the ground! Not enjoyable at and all usually crowded.
If you have never been youll just have to come visit and swim. Also fishing is nearby. Great for families!!
Had fun, no designated smoking areas, and beach ramp could of used a cleaning.
Quiet place to visit
The blow ups are fun for the kids, but when they have to take a swim test that the lifeguards are suppose to watch and none of the 4 lifeguards at the table even pay attention .(Because they cant stop talking to each other).... Whats the point of the swim test then?Besides the lifeguards not doing their job, the rest of the park is a great place to see!
Nice view but there was NO SAND or beach and the water was not too clean.
Somebody needs to pick trash up
Nugs were a bit annoying, but thats a given, otherwise it was very nice, just wished they stayed open longer in the year
Cold for Polar Ice Plunge, but great park for family outings, walking, running, picnicking, boating, canoeing, Great Ape roap adventure & more!
Terrible. There was tons of trash on the beach. We found a dead fish in the water. We won’t be back any time soon
A+ clean well kept
Decent trails. Close enough to the city to be convenient. Needs a swimming area thats not JUST for kids.
Beach is closed. But people have been fishing here even in October.
Great place to have a reunion!
Pretty sight to see
4 stars only because theres not much to it, especially having to pay an additional admissions for the use of the swimming area. Other than that my nephew enjoyed himself, he was looking forward to building sand castles but theres very little room for that here. The area for kids was great in size so he was able to swim around well.
Hanging out with family and meet new friends
Beautiful walking trails.
Walking the trails was fun. Easy trails for us old folks. I really like the park.
There is an additional charge above the entry fee to use the swimming area, and they are at capacity at a ridiculously low number of people. The park seems calm, but a bit oddly laid out.
The beach needs work no sand its all concrete they could demo out the concrete then bring in 50 tandem truck loads of sand let the local and inner city kids have a beach with sand because many of them will never see an ocean with sand!
Great outdoors
Went fishing and had a great time.
Its like going out to the reservoir. Big open area for the kids to swim. We had a great time.
Dirty and over grown
Nice mental break
The swimming area kind of sucks. There is no real beach and you cannot really swim. The water is murky and dirty and there is a lot of debris and trash floating in the cordoned off swim area. The people watching is second to none though, so there is that.
Was a fun place to visit.
I went to the beach and its was really a rainy day, but it was nice enough time get in the water. Over all though, I would rather go to the water park. This was a really nice place, but I wouldnt come here again.
Went to the beach on a Thursday and it was closed! No notice to anyone.
Experience at the park was terrible we had to pay to get in then whenever we want to go swimming we had to pay did go swimming and then they wouldnt let us swim because it was going to send her a little bit and then everything in the park was closing and is about the boringness vacation I ever seen in my life I would not recommend anybody to go there and the bathroom stink really bad pee everywhere they need more maintenance people to clean it if they want visitors to come there get ready for bed
The swimming area....welllllll.......your stuck because theres no other choice if you want to frolic in the water. The grassy mud area where youre expected to lay is not maintained at all theres goose poop all over the place including the sidewalks. There is debris and trash everywhere. The water is extremely dirty, very small swimming area. but there is a few cool water toys that the bigger kids can swim out to and play on that is the only plus about the area. I watched a lot of people over pay to come in at $6 for adults $5 for children and turn around and walk back out for a refund.I will not be going back.
Lots of lifeguards, clean, user friendly
Park area is great! Reservoir swimming area full of goose feces, they dont keep the area clean or mow grassy areas of swim area.
So much fun!
Love the park but the “beach” is awful. Had to pay and additional $6 a person. The beach isn’t even long enough for me to lay on, soooo small. It was also not cleaned prior to opening. So small there’s no where for kids to play. The water was very dirty and unkept. The lawn righ above the beach with picnic benches looked like it hadn’t been cut all year, super trashy. Don’t waste your time or money on the beach. There are definitely better places to swim in Indy.
S door being at Amazon
Small with dirty hard bald ground, NOTHING like grass, sand, concrete/chairs, or flatland not covered in goose dung.. also, wouldnt take my indy park pool season passes, & either way everyone has to pay for the vehicle park admission then also individually a second time for the icky beach area.. for the near $20 for 2ppl/1car, shouldve gone to Plainfield water park or something else
Its ok but beach has no sand.
This was my frist time there took my Grandkids and they had a blast will be going back
Its awful, go see for yourself. There are 5 or so lifeguards watching 50 ft of mud reaching 20 ft out from shore. Theres a longer list of things you cant do and a short list of things you can. The lifeguards do a good job, too good.
We hade a great time just wish the place to swimming was open earlyer but overall we hade fun
Nice place to be
Last year I traveled to Greece and slept on a beautiful beech for a week straight for free. Their public land is shared by everyone. In the U.S, in Indianapolis, you have to pay $10 to swim for 30 minutes in 3 ft of water. Anything deeper than that, they require you to wear a life jacket. The three of us swimming had the attention of 4 life guards ... Because we need a life jacket and 2 people to rescue us when we swim in shallow water..They closed the beach on a sunny day without hesitation at 3:30 PM. Huge rip off. There is no free land in the U.S. You are only free if you can pay for it.
If you like duck crap, Then have we got the place for you. Also if you like basing your decisions on a businesses website only to find out that nothing could be further from the truth. Then look no more, because Eagle Creek Beach is the place for you. But wait theres more, if you act now theyll throw in a dozen or so pinkie sized hornets nesting in the ground at your feet. So how much would you expect to pay for all this, for a family of four? not twelve dollars,....not nineteen dollars,.....not even twenty dollars! Yes if you act now, all this could be yours for twenty-two dollars!(providing you have 2 summer reading passes for the kids)Act now, quality is limited.
Its an ok park
Running trails are unique, challenging and rewarding. Best trail running experience near Indy.
Great for kids on holidays
Great playground with picnic tables, large shelter (holds about 15 picnic tables), multiple grills, and fantastic sunsets.
Nice place to visit during summer
I cought some fish and had bbq
Nice and relaxing place to hangout and fish.
Not much area to swim and water is gross
Love swimming in the reservoir!!!!
Best place ever even better than Turkey Run!!!
I went here 3yrs ago
Horrible experience. No beach, just sparse, weedy grass full of goose poop. An algae and trash covered ramp to enter the water. Scummy, murky water. Clean it up Indy Parks.
Very nice clean park.
Wish there was sand at the beach.
Amazing place for kids and adults!!
Nice view
Had a great time with the kids
Disgusting and expensive. Do not come here. You cant even walk around, theres about a million wasps / nests and bird poo everywhere. There was dead fish in the water.
