Went here for date night and had a blast. Dont think of normal putt putt because this isnt it. This is a more extreme version that gives you a chance to hit the ball a lot harder than normal courses. This is due to the land being the course. I highly recommend this place for a fun time with friends and family.
Usually love this place. Mini golf is great. Driving range, not so good. Went to hit golf balls the other day and they did not have any balls ready to hit. Had to wait 15 minutes while they collected more. Its a driving range, should have balls ready to be hit. Will not be coming back for driving range. I will come back for mini golf.
I miss the animals they used to have! But this place is seriously so fun. Its a nice, natural atmosphere with plenty of space to miss the hole by a long shot if you play anything like me. Its a fun place to play with friends or family, and it would be a super cute place to take a date.
We were on a road trip and just wanted to stop to break up the trip. Found this place on Google and were so happy we did. The most fun mini golf course weve ever played, in our lives! Check it out if you live near here or are just driving through.
The mini golf here is unique and really fun. We visited today and the course is in the best shape Ive ever seen it. Its really a great escape for the entire family. One word of caution is to call for hours. The hours listed here on Google dont seem to be accurate. Price is $9 per person for 18 holes.
A great little hidden gem I never knew existed. The great part is every putting game is wildly different every time you play because the ball is hit over the hilly, tree filled property. Plenty of scenery and shade for a fun game of putt-putt.
Decent driving range. Self service and a good price. Edit: Pulled up and told driving range closed til 4pm. Not a soul out. Will never return...
I have been going there since I was 17. Im 65 now. Such a wonderful place. Love it.
Great place for family to go and play putt putt mini golf always clean staff is friendly and they are following CDC guidelines for covid 19
The place is awesome I used to play there when I was little myself and I brought the great grandbabies there today it was cool and I really enjoyed myself and they did too will be back soon
Different take on mini golf but a good challenge. Place is quiet and not over crowed, and staff is friendly. Has some random history with who has previously played there and the age of the course. Would recommend going through it, but take some bug spray.
I’ve been going here ever since I was a little kid. It’s a must do activity ever spring, summer, and fall! There’s no place on earth I would rather play miniature golf. Real grass, challenging courses, and easy on the pocketbook. Be prepared, it’s cash only. Your group will not be disappointed at Rustic Gardens!
Took my 5 and 6 year olds for 9 holes...They Had a Blast! Have been going here since I was a child and feels Awesome being able to share this Gem with the next generation! The sun was setting over the Driving Range as we left, Absolutely Beautiful! Great way to end a day!
One of Indys hidden gems! I have loved going to this outdoor miniature golf course/ obstacle course since I was a child. I love to take my children there, or just a clean fun date. They have courses for all ages and a driving range, separately. Always shade some sun, fresh air and neat scenery. Real log cabins, etc. Family owned and operated for more generations that I know of.
The driving range is great! I come here a couple times a week and its always in good shape. And they take credit cards now! No longer cash only. New owners but the same excellent and courteous staff.
The place has changed hands, very different now. Four times in the last week and a half they were out of range balls. Tonight was the last time I waste my time with these people. I will not be back.
Truly a unique spot in Indianapolis to go mini golfing that is unlike anything else. While you still use a normal putter and golf ball, the holes are through natural grass fairways, around obstacles, and on to gravel greens. The course is setup as a par 72, which is fun but relatively easy to be. A couple of important things to keep in mind if you go. First, credit cards are not accepted so make sure to bring some cash. Second, Id recommend bringing some bug spray as the mosquitoes can be active around dusk.
Friendly staff....very clean driving range.
We have gone here for years. Its well taken care of. Never any issues. We love it because of the shade, we play on real grass in natural setting.
It is what it is a mini golf in a guys back yard. It is fun, challenging, and inexpensive. There are no frills or flashing lights. My wife and I enjoyed our selfs. Would recommend
This has been a family favorite my whole life. Such a fun place with really unique obstacles that you wont find anywhere else!
This is so much better than putt putt! We love the challenges this course brings.
This place is fun for everyone
Quaint, fun place. Not for the serious golfer or Putt-Putter. Great fun for kids and adults or groups of friends.
Wholesome outdoor family fun!
Fun time!
Just started playing again after many years...and decided to take lessons this time...wow,they have a true professional there and after four reasonably priced lessons I feel like I can actually know what I am doing...his name is Glenn...ask the owner about him.
Wife and I go here a few times a year to have a good time playing the putt putt. Its a little bit different than your average Mini Putt Putt, but the courses are great! Its relatively cheap and if you have 30 minutes to an hour to hang out its worth stopping by! Would definitely recommend
I really enjoyed the experience.
The kids enjoyed it. They have a cat that runs around and some chickens in a coop. I will be back.
Bucket list, a staple of the Eastside. Miniature golfing at its finest. Combine real golf with miniature perfectly. Really needs support to keep this place going. I been going here all my life, never gets old. Create a family tradition kinda place, seriously that good.. Has both 18 and 9 hole courses..
GREAT SCENARY....SUCH A DIFFERENT WAY TO PUTT PUTT
This place is so cool, my 4 year old had such amazing time.
The mini golf courses are so fun! its different than normal putt putt because it is on actual grass.
Fun took about an hour
Great mini golf course. They have 27 difficult holes there. The course is pretty large, and most holes offer a good challenge. Bring cash they do not accept cards. The family and I had a lot of fun there.
Way better than putt-putt!! Love this place!
Great experience at an affordable cost! So fun!!
Good fun. A unique putting course.
Such a cute, welcoming place! Definitely would go again!
Great driving range would give 10 stars if i didnt hook it every time
Had 2 great lessons with a really nice guy named Tim
Best thing to do in Indianapolis! So much fun.
So much fun. The lady working was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend for a date night or outing. Clean, well maintained, and so much fun!!
Lots of fun! Its not your average suburban put put.
I only went to the Miniature Golf part. Each hole has a tee box with a tee, however youre only using a putter. You cross regular lawn grass to the green which actually sand. It is definitely not your typical miniature golf experience, which is what made me enjoy it so much. And the staff was very friendly.
Had a lot of fun. Nice and shady
Great fun. Unique mini golf course - long holes on real grass and many obstacles. Give it a try, you will not regret.
Lovely little mini golf & driving range. My kids loved playing mini golf & then feeding the Chickens & ducks around the pond. Lovely trees over the whole place made for some nice shade to sit under & visit with my family.
The original minature golf course. Fun for the whole family. Never in my life have I seen one With fairways of real grass.
Took my date here in August, and we had a good time. It was not crowded at all then, and I was very impressed with the quality of the miniature golf holes that they had. It took just under 2 hours to clear them all (with some chit-chat). This would be a great way to spend a sunny afternoon on the cheap, so definitely worth a visit!
Great place to hit golf balls
Good clean fun !!!
Was quoted a price of 2 hours of putt putt plus a picnic table of 100 and when I got there it was another price. Get it in writing next time
Fun! Historically place to play miniature golf!
I have a low tolerance for much of the pomp and attitude of golf courses and country clubs. Therefore, golf has never really been a favorite past-time for me. However, this location is truly an amazing little gem with a wonderful history hidden in SE Indianapolis. The driving range is relaxing, never crowded, and inexpensive. The miniature golf is a natural setting without the poured concrete fabricated feel of more traditional mini-golf locations. It makes the challenges unique for kids and adults alike and offers an array of natural distractions at a very reasonable price. A local gem that deserves local support.
It is a quiet driving range, price was pretty competitive with other ranges. Nothing fancy or to drive out of the way for but all in all it gets the job done.
They need signs to make others aware of their existence, a friend took me here which is the only way I knew about it, I had a great time playing putt putt, atmosphere was wonderful
Good place to go if you like real grassYou can have a real fun time
Just down the street from my grandparents house, I used to love to walk down and play miniature golf. I havent been in a few years, but the grounds were beautiful. This place gives the feel of a real golf course, with real grass, trees, and sand traps, just sized down. It is much larger though and a better experience than the concrete pad putt putt places that are more common. I will be taking my kids soon.
Ive been coming here for a couple decades now. Its a great way to spend time with family and friends. The current owners have done a great job maintaining the grounds.
Much better than a putt-putt mini golf. The holes are between 15-40 feet away. U need to put a little power to move the golf ball. Since the fairway have no barriers, u can easily hit the ball out or screw up. Really fun!
A hidden gem.
Nice place to play true mini golf. Its not put put.
Great place! Friendly owners and staff. Ive been going there for years and always had a great time.P.s. Gavin this place is not a putt putt course where you will find windmills and clowns. It is miniature golf.
Dang, its a bummer that Gavin had such a rough time. My friends and I personally loved this course. They took me there for my birthday and we had a blast. If youre looking for a standard mini-golf course where you just putt, then this isnt the course for you. If youre looking for something a little different and more fun, then this is it. Now, were a group of sheltered little white kids, so getting there felt a little sketchy. Certainly neighborhoods were not used to. However, if you come in from the other direction, it feels perfectly fine. My point: dont worry, itll be fine. The staff was extremely friendly and it was well priced. I believe it was $6 for 9 holes, $7 for 18, and $11 for 27. I suppose that means you play the course 1.5 times? Dont know, didnt ask.So about the course- its challenging and awesome! You basically have to treat your putter as a chipping wedge sometimes. And expect lots of obstacles and frustration. But youll be laughing and having a great time if you can manage the fact that youre there to have fun. If youre super competitive and just want to get angry about everything then I dont know. Maybe go play Halo?Oh, and its cash only.
My family and I have enjoyed this place since the 60s. Excellent staff. Worth driving down from Fishers. Highly recommend.
Prices are so high but we still always have fun here
Very unique course! If youre ever in the Indianapolis area, you need to check this out. Its far from your run of the mill putt-putts. Real grass, real rocks and nice packed sand. Very well maintained and friendly staff!
Nice miniature golf course.
Fun for all! Great pastime!
Been going to this place with my grandpa since I was a kid. Is the same place he went when he was a kid. Hope it never closes. Its a great place to take your family. Relaxed, comfortable, challenging, fun.
Actual mini golf not putt putt. Awesome place gives you a challenge.
Fantastic all natural course surrounded by split rail fence. .long natural grass fairways lined with field stones and crushed sand putting greens.this a facility like none other.also features lights for evening enjoyment . break out the old Billy Baroo and come play the gardens! !
Had a lot of masquito bites
Always fun especially with family. Great pricing. Only wish theyd accept credit cards, but I understand why they dont.
A cute, fun way to spend an afternoon. Very unique, usually not too crowded.
Had a great time. Clean and staff was nice.
My 16 year old son, 14 year old daughter, husband, and I went here on Sunday afternoon and had a BLAST! Highly recommend.
Came here at 5 PM on Sunday and it was closed even though maps, Facebook page and their automated call machine said it was open. Abandoned, nobody there to help and nobody picks up the phone either. $20 Uber ride down the drain.
Amazing course!! Great family outing. Highly recommend!
My 16 year old son, 14 year old daughter, husband, and I went here on Sunday afternoon and had a BLAST! Highly recommend.
Was great Fun!!
Best and only legit mini golf in the city... a gem, take the family!
Nice hidden gem. The driving range is especially good for those of us who arent great and need to practice. Its not busy, prices are real cheap. Will be coming back for sure. Didnt play mini golf but it looks cute.
Dont let the look fool you. This is one of the most enjoyable mini golf courses Ive been too. You can even feed the goat and ducks for 75 cents. The only advice I would give would be to use the offered bug spray as the mosquitos can be rough.
Very fun! They offer feed for $1 for the chickens and ducks. Also, in the refreshment stand, they have Choc-ola!
This place has been here forever - fun times
Fun and rustic. Family friendly and a unique find.
Had a great time it was different but fun where else can you feed chickens and ducks and play Miniature Golf
We took my dad here for fathers day and we had a blast. The cash only thing made it kind of a pain but all in all we had a blast and really enjoyed the course.
My son was in town at his grandparents house which is down the street from Rustic Gardens and really wanted to play Mini Golf so his Grandpa called ahead of time to comfirm that they were open. A lady awnsered the phone and said they were open so they headed toward Rustic Gardens but 5 minates later they found out they were closed. Poor Customer Service.
It has been in operation for 85 years, its miniature golf. Not your typical putt putt. Great place to have fun.
The most awesome, stress free and low cost fun. Beautiful location.
I hated this course. Everything about it was just terrible. From selling stuff out of a shack to the 50 feet away from the tee to fairway. Might as well bring a driver because youll be hitting it way over. Never ever go to this place. You will hate it EVERYTIME. If I could give this course a 0 stars I would easily tap my phone and never think about this course again or I will be furious. Just an fyi dont read any of these other reviews they are so mistaken!
