Beautiful course, but awful pace of play. We were scheduled to tee off at 11 am, and didnt start until 1145. On the last Par 5 on the front, there was a group on the green, two groups in the fairway, one on the tee, and 3 groups waiting to tee off. We didnt get done with the front 9 on the Sycamore until 3 pm. A real shame for such a nice course.

For a 36 hole public course, this is a great option. Its a little beat up right now with the heat, but its an interesting course with two very different but fun sets of 18 holes. Also has a driving range. The only thing to be sure of is to grab both a scorecard AND a course booklet. Otherwise the intricacies of the holes are near impossible to understand. But all in all played 27 holes in 2weeks and enjoyed it all!

Good shape considering the oppressive heat this month. Course layout booklets are great so you can game plan if you haven’t been there. 10% off if you pay online- booked before 8:30 am today and paid $26 for 18 and a cart- absolutely great value for this course.

Both courses are in great shape for the time of year. They are still fairly wet, but the greens are rolling true. The sycamore layout can test any level of golfer but still offers an enjoyable experience, as long as you keep it out of the scenic woods. A great golf value on the west side of Indianapolis.

Driving from DC to Iowa, I stopped at this course to fit in a quick round on Tuesday twilight. I only encountered two other groups on the course, so I was able to play at any rate I wished. Im Afro American, so we usually expect to not be greeted with open arms at golf courses. This course was no different. Adults not friendly, but the young girls at the bar were. Cute, friendly, and all smiles. The course itself was very nice. Tee boxes, greens, fairways, bunkers, etc...all in great shape. Course very well maintained. Care was given to decorate many holes with pumpkins and much Halloween paraphernalia. Very cool! All the surrounding homes were very nice and well kept. Nice mixture of straight, narrow, and dogleg holes. I found the difficulty to be average. No carries, ravines, or daunting hazards to deal with off the tee. Flat course. Paid $25 with cart at 4pm on Tues. If feeling welcome is not a major priority to u, Id recommend this course.

De
Review №59

This course used to be one of my favorites. They are not keeping the bunkers very well maintained. The greens are in horrible condition with dead spots galore. I know it hasnt rained for a while but this golf course has irrigation and sprinkler heads on all greens, fairways and tee boxes, so why dead spots in the greens? If its a fungus or insect issue, a good course superintendent should know how to prevent/cure the problem. Also there are starters on both courses at the busy times. But what they need are rangers and better rules. Why any course would allow singles to go out on weekends (when the course is the busiest) is beyond me. The starters could group together singles into twosomes or threesomes to keep the singles from playing through everyone else.

Review №63

The staff was very welcoming and, as most people know that economic conditions have caused many golf courses to reduce costs, the course is in good shape and it seems as though your team has utilized its resources well to accommodate the guests. After seeing the comment regarding an African American not being treated well (acknowledgement of his expectation to be treated negatively prior to arriving) I will add that I was with my 3 African American Cousins and not only did the staff help bring 2 of them out to meet our group, they did this twice which speaks volumes to the level of courtesy we received. As a member of the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club and having spent time with many African American members at the beautiful country club, I am appalled that the staff & management of Eagle Creek Golf Course could...or should for that matter... receive any type of negative review regarding the level of respect shown to others. Having played many beautiful golf courses throughout my life, Id recommend this course to anyone looking for a well maintained and fun course to play. The scenery is beyond beautiful and the Eagle Creek Team deserve a lot of credit.

Update.... So I put my money where my mouth is since I was talking so bad about them... Went and played the pines course, 2 stars. The course had lots of ground in need of repair. Lots of unrepaired ball Marks on the greens. No seed/fertilizer/sand mix to fill divots on the range/carts, Practice range guests arent aware that lines of divots grow back in faster and thicker so you get huge swaths of areas all chunked out. Seems to never fail that someone is talking on speaker phone to someone else, but this isnt really the courses issue I guess, maybe just some old man commentary I will say $50 is still way to much for this course. Thats as nice as I can be...The layout of the pines course works well for golfers that like to play fast, I played it in about 2 hrs 45 min.

The Sycamore course has the potential to be a nice course. But the sand traps are in terrible condition (grass growing through the sand). Greens are for novice players. 90% of my putts had little to zero break.I got on for $28 during winter rates and honestly I think I was overcharged. I wouldnt pay more than $30 for summer rates at this course. Also found it odd how the 9th hole didnt end at the clubhouse. Once you start your round you better get whatever snacks or drinks you want because you wont see the clubhouse until you return your cart.
