We did the Bank Heist and did not escape in time. The main frustration is that we spent the majority of our time trying to open finnicky, 1920s styles safes. While they really added to the style and authenticity, they were a pretty huge annoyance. Our guide confirmed our combinations and gave us tips to open them (push in, be extremely precise, etc), but we could still not get them open. There is nothing they can do, as there are no other clues to give + they cant hit a button to open the safe. It was pretty frustrating, and I would not recommend the room.Other than that, the staff were super nice and friendly. The other rooms seemed interesting, and the place in general had an awesome atmosphere. I would just not recommend the Bank Heist room

Did not escape on our first try but still had a nice time! Enjoyed the drink options and alcohol to purchase beforehand while waiting. COVID protocol in place so we didnt have to be in a large group.

My family and I attempted the art gallery room and it was so much fun! Tyler was super funny and great at helping us when we needed it. Although we didn’t complete our task, we had a blast and are definitely looking forward to another room. Tyler and the staff were super fun and created a warm atmosphere!

We visited with our family of four on 7/3/20. I was the only one who had not done an escape room before so I was a little nervous. The staff was welcoming from the beginning and I was relieved at the level of safety - all employees were masked and we were asked to wash our hands upon arrival. We did jail break. It was the perfect balance of challenging, but doable for two adults and two teenagers. We did have to get a few hints, but Id much rather do that than have it be too easy. Shannon was a great guide. She joked with us, ensured that we had all of the info that we needed, and was patient with all of my newbie questions. We definitely plan to return a try another room. Good, low risk pandemic entertainment option that will also keep your brain from atrophying if you attend with only people you live with.

We did the Mona Lisa challenge and it was challenging. Nikki was a great host and if we lived here we would go again. Our son lives here so we might be able to.

My family and I visited this location to celebrate my niece’s birthday. Most of us paid ahead of time (online) but a few joined last minute and had to pay cash. The few who paid cash never received receipts and before entering we were stopped and told to wait. Andrew, the manager on duty came out and accused someone of not paying saying his count was off. After we explained that we all had paid no one received receipts to prove it, he got louder in volume and more rude in tone. A few moments later he came back saying he did have the payment there was a mix up amongst his staff. Then, without offering a true apology or de-escalating the tension he sent out the guides. We happily continued with our evening but recognize the rude customer service and blatant disrespect. We will not be visiting again and do not recommend this location especially for groups.

We did the wyvern room. And tho i know not our Game masters name. The shorter lady with the red hair did an excellent job. Guiding us when we were completely off track. The props and puzzles were challenging but not overly complicated. And for a 1.5 hour room we got out with just under .5 hours to spare. I recommend coming here.

The rooms are a great balance of challengeling, fun, and interesting. The staff is absolutely fantastic and super helpful. Recommend for any groups of young adults to older adults

I recommend this place, we had a blast it was fun even though we didnt make it was a fun experience. My family like it so much we are planning to try another room, and Sam our room instructor was so nice and helpful all the time she made sure I understood the rules becuase English is my second language and she made sure I understood, she was very patience.

The Manager Chorsie and Assistant Manager Matthew helped me make my now fiancés and my special night that much more fun and exciting! My fiancé and I had a great time with a heist. The staff was awesome, welcoming and offered the perfect surprise!

Our group did the wyvern room. It was super fun. Our game master was Jacob and he was amazing. He added to the whole experience very will. 10/10

Contagion - 5 starsThe guy staff member was fun and puzzled were challenging but made sense with the themeSpace - 1 starThe girl staff member was either new or not a lot of experience with this room. We had to stop 3 times to switch out radios and ended up on the same station as the other people. So all in all, probably 5 to 10 minutes of us saying too much static, we cant hear you, can you repeat that, etc. I dont feel like the theme and the puzzles made sense together. Overall, not impressed with this visit.

This escape room was very well done. The clues were difficult, and our group was challenged on the intermediate and advanced rooms (we went twice). I loved how the rooms were decorated and the themes. This was a great activity for our multi-generational family over the holidays. Everyone enjoyed it, especially when we managed to escape. I would definitely recommend this place for an hour of fun.

Clean, well designed rooms. The Contagion room was challenging, but easy enough to figure most of the clues.

Great way to spend an hour testing your collaboration skills with family, friends or coworkers. We did the Space 2112 room which I would rate as quite challenging. Excellent props and staging. Better have a math whiz with you if you get this room.

First time escapers had a great time very hard though but fun.

We do a ton of room escapes so this is just our perspective. We did the heist few years ago and it has way too many keys and the puzzles werent our favorite so we wrote this place off. Then we did the art heist and loved it! The puzzles were simple and straightforward but the mechanisms were neat. The game master gave us some great recommendations for future rooms to try for our group. My family has also raved about their fishers location. Looking forward to coming back and doing some of the more complex rooms!

Super fun way to spend an hour!

Excellent experience! Staff is great, facilities are welcoming and they accommodate well for large and small parties! I even hosted a holiday office party there and it was amazing the way they could accommodate our 60+ people in all the rooms of our choice at overlapping times to ensure a seamless experience. Food is great and ambiance was ideal for the event!

This place is so much fun. I have been about 5 times and each time is different.my family went for my birthday this time and we broke out. If you want something to do that isnt the normal thing do this. You will be glad you did.

Loved The Escape Room Indianapolis! Our guide, Jacob, made it fun and was a great help with the hints. I loved how it involved multiple rooms and the challenge of completing it in the dark. Would definitely go back!

This was the hardest escape room experience Ive ever had (and Ive done these a lot), which is a GOOD thing. If you pay $20+ for 1.5 hours of fun, they better make it a challenge. A group of friends and I tried the Soviet Union room and wow. It was so tough, but FUN! We were given several clues, which we needed and we still didnt get out. Its really well done and so fun. I highly recommend!

A group of friends and I experienced the Bank Heist and it was fantastic. We all had so much fun. This was the third escape room we’ve done together and all agreed this was the best one. Our mob boss Blue was excellent and made the experience great by making sure we stayed on track and provided assistance when needed. The room is pretty challenging as we got out with just 3 minutes left. You could feel the pressure trying to crack the final challenge and it just made a great overall experience. I would highly recommend this place for a group event and Blue is an excellent host.

Went with a group from work and had a blast! The room we got was amazing and really made you think. Wouldnt hesitate to go back.

This was my first experience with an escape room and it was mega fun!! My boyfriend and I did the Contagion room by ourselves and while we weren’t able to finish, we got really close. Jacob, our room helper person, gave us insightful tips that didn’t give away too much and was overall really awesome to have! He showed us the last few steps to get the right answer which was greatly appreciated :-)

Isaiah was our host and he did an awesome job explaining the details of this game. Safety was their number one concern so we were given hints about certain things not to touch, not to move, etc.The 5 of us joined another party and we worked well together although we did not escape. We were very close - about 95% completed according to Isaiah. We will do this again but we know the secret to this room so well choose another one next time.

We did this through GenCon and it was the highlight of our time in Indianapolis! Our host Maria was great and offered just the right amount of help when we decided to use our hint. We did the jailbreak scenario and the setup and puzzles were fun and definitely a step above the usual escape room experience. Recommended.

Josh aka “The Machine” was an amazing host to our escape room. My family and I did the KGB escape room although we were not able to escape we had a blast trying to! Josh was very helpful with the three hints we were allowed and we never would have gotten as far as we did without them! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun yet challenging experience.

Our experience started out strong, with the front door staff working hard to squeeze us in. The lobby was lively and the ability to have a drink while we waited was refreshing and new to us.The room was ok - not the best game we have played, but certainly not the worst. Without giving spoilers, there was a puzzle that required multiple questions to the Advisor to clarify - this sort of thing should not happen. Also - no one wants to spend 15 minutes (of their 60 minute experience) doing a Sudoku puzzle. I can do that in the news paper (for much cheaper) - If you show up without a Sudoku whiz, forget it.My biggest complaint is in regards to Cory, our adviser. At the 50 minute mark, Cory thought it would be a good idea come on the radio and tell us If you arent going to have any fun, just leave the room. Excuse me? Having done 50+ rooms in the last 4 years, I have never had anything like this happen. Up to this point, everyone had had a reasonable amount of fun... This completely ruined the experience for all 5 of us. $150 to have an adviser tell the customer to just leave the room is completely unacceptable.Needless to say, thanks to Cory we will not be back to The Escape Room Indianapolis.

We had an amazing escape room experience. Lots of scenarios and levels of difficulty to choose from. A total blast. Recommend getting a whole group of people who know each other for best results.

First of all, its a little bit difficult to find if youre not familiar with Indianapolis. Its on the corner and you must take the elevator inside to the second floor.Weve done many escape rooms and this one was one of the most disappointing. We did the bank heist. (Honestly only picked it because the time worked, others sounded better.) The set up was great, liked the look of the room and the layout. The quality of the props was good. What really ruined the escape room is that the locks didnt work properly. We had the correct code, we were doing the correct combination, but the lock wouldnt open. Even Dorothy, the room host, couldnt get the safe to open, trying several times. She finally did. She told us the hard to use locks are the hardest part of the room. We found that to be super frustrating and much less fun. We couldnt move through the puzzles because of one safe that wouldnt open. We could only go so far without that information.The employees we encountered were friendly. My husband was being a little obnoxious, asking silly questions, and they were patient and kind.Were from out of town, so I dont know that well ever have the opportunity to return, but I wouldnt suggest the bank heist room unless youre really good with hard to use old locks and math. After doing the room I realized I had read several bad reviews and I think they were referring to the same room.

Prior to yesterday evening, I had never done an Escape Room, but three others and I did Contagion with another group of four. It was a blast. Anna, our group/room manager, was phenomenal. We survived. We will likely be coming back for more.Also, a good selection of drinks in the bar/welcome area. It is a nice area.

Elaina was really nice and very good at explaining the rooms. I don’t really like this one just because I’m not that great at math, but it was a nice experience. I took the advantage of this because my best friend invited me. I really enjoyed it I’ll come back again. :)

Solid effort but not particularly exciting. Some puzzles were ok but the electronic locks did not always have indicators that it was deactivated (a light or sound would be good). Also the theme of Indiana alumni was not very fun for an escape room. At $30+ dollars I cant really recommend too highly.

What a great time! We beat the buzzer by 10 seconds and scored 6 gold bars from the safe during our bank heist. We couldnt have done it without our awesome mob boss Alyson Baron! Thanks for a great time. We will be back!

We doubled dated with some friends and signed up for the Space: 2112 escape room. JOSH was our advisor and was a great help with some clues to get us moving in the right direction. We didnt make it out in a hour, but we were very close. Id definitely try another escape room. Lots of fun!

Let me preface with - we had a great time in our room! Contagion is a fun one for sure! (When set properly)Now the bad - the room we originally purchased (IU time warp) had puzzles that had been damaged by a previous group and had not been repaired. And so we couldn’t do that room. So they allowed us to choose a different one and we did without much of a delayed start. HOWEVER- once we started the room, two of the puzzles weren’t put back together correctly (to our benefit but still a bummer). Then as our time expired, we reviewed what we had missed with our room guide and he realized he had not reset the room properly and even if we had had enough time, the next puzzle couldn’t have been completed and therefore we wouldn’t have passed anyways. THAT I think was the real let down for me. “Every detail matters” yet our details weren’t complete. We will try other locations before returning to this one.

This was the best experience I have ever had at an escape room. The guy who was in charge of our group and room was named Josh and he was super helpful, nice, and easy going. We got out with 17 minutes to go. We will definitely be coming back

Awesome experience! Really well thought-out escape room, very atmospheric and a good plot. We did the KGB one which was pretty difficult and we just managed to get out with a few minutes to spare (there were 10 of us). Kudos to Jacob and Avi, our hosts, who explained the rules well and made the whole experience fun and engaging from beginning to end. Well recommended!

SO MUCH FUN. Such a fantastic time here, the game was difficult but not toooo difficult. The staff, Kimberly especially, were TREMENDOUS and super friendly and helpful and just made the whole experience a fun time.If you want something for a group of people to do, this is a great place to use your intellect and competitive nature shine. Would recommend the JAIL BREAK but I imagine all rooms are great!

Went with my son, friends and family who were in town. Out of the six of us, my son and I were the only two who had done a room before. The room was very challenging (a bit more so than labeled on the website) and we didnt quite make it out in time but we got darn close! All in all, everyone still had a blast and our room guide(Nicky 3x) did a great job helping us when we needed it. He provided clear instruction without sacrificing the integrity of the room challenge. In the end, I think I could speak for everyone in the group that we would do these again in a heartbeat! Super good time!

Great first escape room for the art thief one! We didnt get out but we had the painting! So close lol. Our group didnt fill the room so we had three other people with us. Wasnt expecting that, but we all worked together pretty well!

My experience at this place was so much fun. Avi was our guide and he did a really good job. We did an intermediate level puzzle as none of the 4 in our group had done one before. We will be attending another one soon. This was just challenging enough to be fun and achieve a sense of completion after we solved each puzzle.

Absolutely loved it!!! Fun time for the family. They were very accommodating by squeezing us in during the busy FFA Convention. Started us off on a a mobile CIA room. We were hooked!Two days later we were back. Scheduled the Jail Break room. It was a blast. We broke out. Our unlikely ally the warden Mikki was a hoot.We highly recommend this place!!!

Had a wonderful experience here with Allyx (I think I spelled that right) as the host. Everything about it was top notch, from the waiting area to the rooms theme and puzzles to the after-puzzle experience. Highly recommended!

Went for the first time, had a lot of fun. Ran in to one technical glitch in the room, but otherwise it was a lot of fun. Plan to return in the future.

When my girlfriend and I first arrived we saw quite a few people in the lobby and our first thought is this will be so easy to finish and so lame, but let me tell you! This was so much fun and even my girlfriend had a great time! There is one part I thoroughly enjoyed, but I don’t want to give anything away here. We were sooo close completing the escape room, but fell just shy! Give this place a try and I promise you you won’t regret it. It’s a great time to just get out of the house and in my opinion it’s fairly priced for what you get out of it.

First time doing an escape room, and my group picked the space one. So you can guess how that went.It was a ton of fun though!! The whole area looked amazing, and Ti was SUPER helpful. The only downside (besides our own obviousness) was some of the electronic props werent reacting the way they should have. The atmosphere and employees were great, though, and we really had a blast.

My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves! The site was very neat & high quality! The props were fun and the entire experience was worth it. Jacob helped us along the way & was not only humuous but extremely kind & professional! We will definitely come back to try more rooms!

Escape room was so much fun!! We had a lot of people in our group so it was a little overwhelming; we maxed out our room at 10 people. I definitely want to go again, but probably with less people. Our hostesses Ti and Grace were AWESOME and very helpful :)

Jacob was great in helping us to Escape KGB Interrogation. The room was very challenging as promised and did a great job staying authentic throughout the whole experience. And Ti in the lobby did a great job accommodating us!

Been here before and did Space: 2112, but unfortunately didnt get out. Went back months later to do Contagion and had a lot of fun and escaped! Our guide Ti was great and was helpful when needed. Definitely going to go back to try out the other ones.Word of advice, if youre looking to do an escape room and want to hopefully get out, then start off with Art Gallery and go from there. The room design and creativity is some of the best Ive seen from doing escape rooms.
