Cool 195 foot deep natural cave on Monte Sano mountain. About a 2 mile moderate hike from the nearest parking lot. **DO NOT rappel in without extensive rappelling and climbing experience or a certified guide.**

Super cool, very dangerous so maybe dont take small kids here. Theres a chain link fence around most of it, but a tree recently(?) fell on it and crushed part of it. The well is around 80 feet deep according to the rock I threw in it

The trailhead map says ok for hiking or biking-***Biking not advised as you will have to carry it up rough terrain and through mountain stream beds that make the trip much more arduous than anticipated. But quite a beautiful view

This is a classic pit cave,BUT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.Dont lean on the fence!Dont horse around at the lip!Dont even THINK of going in that hole without training with a caving grotto (club) first!

In no way will I ever repel down this thing, but it is a neat feature to look at and the trails around it are great.

1.5 easy miles down the well trail. Totally worth the walk. Just watch out for the insects and animals.

It is a long, difficult walk to get to this natural wonder, but it is worth it. This hole in the ground is about 30 feet across and a couple of hundred feet deep -- straight down. There is a fence around the opening, so it is safe to approach. Although called Natural Well, it is actually a pit cave. One very cool aspect is how sounds reverb around the opening.

Aweome geological natural wonder. Very large and smooth wall hole in limestone rock. Nice scenic hike to get there
