I have been to 2 or 3 paranormal investigations at this location, and the evidence was just a great as the location itself! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the home is full of history. Theres even a room that served as part of the underground railroad, and the site also has ties to Frederick Douglas. Cant wait to visit again!
Wonderful old home nicely restored Abt 10 years ago. We are considering it for a venue for a rehearsal dinner. It is nice, but showing a bit of wear in rugs, kitchen and bathroom. It has been set up like a museum which is not exactly the vibe we are looking for. The price is very reasonable, $100 per hour. So, around $4-500 for the party, plus catering. Not bad at all. We may do it, but not going ho.
My first visit. The house is beautiful. The show that we went to see was not enjoyable at all. They seem to have a following though and others seemed to be enjoying it so just not for me I guess. Glad that local artists have a venue and an audience.
Attended a play presented by evil cheese productions. Amazing
Great place! Went to see the Mary & Myra play, the acting was fantastic. Smart and witty screenplay about Mary Lincoln. Ill be back.
Love seeing plays at The Historic Lowery House
Love the space and the Evil Cheez shows are always a good time.
This is a multi-use historic house in north downtown Huntsville. We were there most recently to see the lastest production by the Evil Cheese theater group (very good, by the way). Ive also been there for a luncheon. The Lowery House is a treasure.
We just went and did the murder mystery and it was fun. Burgers, hotdogs, etc was very good, BYOB.The cast was very friendly and fun, we will definitely go againAnd to our friend Janet no it wasnt the doctor, lol
BEAUTIFUL Historic House and also its story..
Visited the Lowery House for the first time to see Dracula Lord of the Vampires this evening. BRAVO!!!!!!! Never thought that I would love Dracula (the vampire). The entire cast was absolutely phenomenal!!!!!! Alice was the BEST crazy lady ever!!! I realized when the character Lucy walked in that I knew her. Absolutely love me some Lucy/Daphne!!! We will tell all of our family and friends!!!
This is a wonderful historic home. They often host dramatic theater.
INTERESTING venue for a theatrical production. Very intimate and up close experience.
Very interesting and welcoming staff...a jewel in the middle of Huntsville
Authentic historic preservation/restoration. Interesting history and interesting events held there.
Historically different.
Visited the house for a school film, and was mezmerized with its beauty and historic aura. That, and the hospitality we received makes this a fufilling experience.
Great place to go for Weddings, Family reunions, what ever kind of meetings you may have! Very friendly staff.
Great time at the play here :)
Saw a delightful Evil Cheez production this weekend. It is a really beautiful house.
Great place. Lots of history
Went to the haunted house event on Halloween, got spooked pretty good for what it was. Was expecting to go upstairs tho during the tour.
Historical landmark used for a wide range of special events. I have attended several theatre performances & enjoyed it very much.
They did an awesome job with the Edgar Allan Poe Halloween event.
