Attended a wedding here in late November. The ceremony happened with the overlook behind the couple was quite a sight. The reception area appeared to be decently sized but this happened under COVID so it might be on the smaller size for a normal wedding? There are quite a few areas for some spectacular portrait shots as well.

Very nice experience. Lots of interesting history shared by the staff. Magnificent view of Huntsville far below. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the follage should be trimmed back better so as not to block the view or crowd walkways. The area around the large Christian cross appears to get no grounds keeper attention. The buildings are well maintained. A wonderful day trip.

Im a little torn on this one. For the price I expected a LOT more. Burritt on the Mountain is a beautiful location. Everyone should see this, especially this time of year. We went for a four course dinner. Schedule conflict and we missed the appetizer. Second course - salad, amazing. Poached pears, pickled red onion, blue cheese, crunchies. Third - beef tenderloin with baby potatoes- eh... Fourth - bread pudding - very rich. Service (volunteers, bless their souls) was not good. Skipped our table twice. No one orchestrated the table service. Again a high price for little return.

It was a little expensive to get in. The Halloween event was ok but I would have liked to see a few more events going on. There were a few good options for the kids; Making a witches broom a ghost pop out of a coffee filter and a play were the highlights. There werent a lot of Halloween decorations.Hopefully they will make it bigger and better next year.

A nice museum at the top of Monte Sano (mountain of health) mountain. A mix of new and old building provide two hundred year old history and modern day event facilities. A short drive up the mountain and you feel the cooler air and breeze. You can watch the large birds glide in the up-streams from the mountain side. Burritt Museum provides something for all age groups. This is a little hidden gem on top of the mountain.

Great place to go and take the kids. They have really good historical buildings. I actually worked then and replaced the siding recectly. It already looked really good, and now looks much better. They also have tours you can take. They show you how everything was done back in the 1800s. Also having live animals to help preserve how people lived a few hundred years ago. Really good place and neat to visit.

Burritt on the Mountain was an incredible venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. The fall foliage was beautiful and we felt really lucky to have gotten the venue at that time of year. Noel and her team are experts and were always quick with a vendor recommendation or a reply to any question. They also helped coordinate all the vendor setup so we didn’t have to get there early and worry about that. We got married at The View overlook and it was absolutely breathtaking. Our reception was in the Baron Bluff building, which was also very nice and offered lots of wide open space to have plenty of room for everything. We can’t imagine having done this anywhere else. It was perfect. If you’re thinking about getting married there – DO IT!

Our 3rd-6th graders went on a field trip here, and they enjoyed it immensely! The tour guides were very accommodating, and the children loved the activities they were involved in during their visit. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for everyone involved! Dont miss seeing the enormous cross! You have to hike a mile to see it, but its definitely worth it to view this beautiful structure! There is so much history to learn about here, and the tour guides were eager and willing to share it with visitors!

This was a great stop for our family in Alabama! We were on a road trip and Huntsville happened to be our midway stopping point for the day. I let my 6 year old choose between the Space Museum or the Burritt Mountain and he chose Burritt! It was a hot day (90 degrees +) but other than that, we had a great time and glad we went. The view was great, the mansion was very interesting to see, and the 2 men on the farm were very knowledgeable and friendly. The ladies in the gift shop were also wonderful, gave us other recommendations in the area for kids and meals. And the gift shop had some unique items too! We probably spent 3 hours total at Burritt, and very glad we got to see it! We will definitely recommend to others if Alabama is a place they are headed.

Attended an extremely interesting event with my 11 year old daughter held here at Burritt called Folklike Festival which allows visitors to peer into the lives during the 1800s. They offered several demonstrations, played old folk music with era correct instruments, and provided informative guided tours. It was super cool to see how involved & intrested my daughter was in watching & learning about the old days especially with how some of the kids today seem to think life owes them something instead of working hard for it.If you find this post informative & helps you with your decision to use this establishment, please feel free to give it a thumbs up. Thanks & good luck!

We attended the City Lights Concert Friday night. The In the Mood Band played 40s music and some 50-60s. Weather was beautifully temperate with a cool breeze. We ate our brought in supper as the sun set to great music. This is a very popular venue and Friday was no exception and was in fact, exceptional. One problem is parking. You must arrive very early to park in the mtn. lot. We had to ride in school buses with chairs and coolers,, etc. It is always oversold. My parents in their 80s had to go through this. The evening brightened once we arrived and got settled, but it was a very aggravating way to begin the evening. If you attend, go one and a half hour prior to the start.

I have lots of fond memories of the Burritt from my childhood - mostly of the amazing views. Lucky for me, one of my best childhood friends even had her wedding here a few years ago, so I got to revisit and relive some of those memories. The Burritt continues to grow and expand. Its now got quite the collection of cabins and side buildings that depict what life was like in the valley and surrounding hills in the early days of Huntsville history. The Burritt also host plenty of historic festivals and special exhibits throughout the year.
