Worth checking out if your in the Houston area. A bit of a drive out of the downtown area but thats what youd expect. I would also suggest getting there for when it opens if you dont want to wait in a big line for a tour. We went on a weekday, but it seems like lots of field trips happen here so it was busy...Really interesting place to check out, its amazing what theyve accomplished and its a really well maintained and laid out place. There were tours of the campus and astronaut center, and lots of interactive exhibits. You can also look at rockets and even go inside an old one.Would suggest at least 4 hours here.

I got to take my dad here when he was in town. Hed always been a science nerd and this was a kind of fulfillment for him. Im so glad I got to be a reason for him to go. Besides that, I had fun walking around being philosophical and remembering when I seriously wanted to be an astronaut. ...and the gift shop is decent.

I’ve been coming Houston for about 5 years now and none of my Housyon friends have ever wanted to take me to NASA.Well at last I had a out of town friend of mine to take here and now I can understand why.It really didn’t live up to expectation. We got given no information about the attractions at car park entry (which you have to pay for!!!!!!) or when we bought our tickets. We just entered the complex and really had no Idea what and were to go.We went on there train ride and waited about 45 min to get on. They were so slow at loading. It had rained about 30 min previously and when the trains came in they then had to spend 10 min wiping the seats down. You would think this would be done before the trains came in to load passengers. We only spent about three hours at NASA and wouldn’t be keen on going back anytime soon.

Spent considerable time to see each and everything in nasa and also the guided bus tours. Watched movie and took some rides here. It’s a super busy place and it can take 3-4 hours to cover everything and may be more. My kids loved exploring and had fun time. Parking costs like 5$ and the nasa tour costs upward of 20$.

Houston, we have a problem - This popular phrase was received at this very centre during one of the many missions to space all controlled from this NASA Mission Control Center. Were told there is already plan on the way to have people leaving on the moon. This attraction is included in your ticket to the NASA Space Center at Houston.

Our experience was not so good unfortunately. We arrived at 1:30pm and explored all the exhibits in the main entrance building which were amazing but when we went to book the tram to the other buildings it said that the tram was not accepting any more reservations so we missed out on the best part of the visit. There is no signage or indication that the tram stops running or they stop taking reservations almost 2 hours before they close. We spoke to the information desk and they could not help us at all so we walked away very disappointed from our visit considering that we had come all the way from Miami to see it.

I didnt want to go to Texas, but I thought, if I must, then im going to bloody Nasa. Its a great idea, that I feel could have been so much better, theres 2 main tours. We did one that was supposedly the more interesting of the two.. You sit on this little trolley for an hour, get off once to have a wander inside and have a look at a few things being worked on, and then youre taken back. Its a little like a woman when they go on a date with me, I treat her well over text and promise a big game, and then finally you get to the bedroom and its a bit of a letdown, you go with it, as it gets the job done, but you leave slightly disappointed and with a bad taste in your mouth.:)

I enjoyed Mission Control more over the space center. There’s a tremendous amount of nostalgia here. All the same, it would have been nice to see the buildings and areas in a nicer state of repair.Something I learned while touring mission control is that, the US flag atop the building at mission control, flys whenever a US Astronaut is in space at the International space station. There has been a US flag flying over the building everyday for 20 some years. There’s always a US Astronaut in space at the space station.

A true emblem of the American space program, the Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center is arguably the biggest highlight of the tram tour at Space Center Houston. Being able to see the White Room, which functioned as Mission Control for the latter years of the Space Shuttle Program, and is soon to be put back in action for the Artemis program, is really something special. You really cant appreciate the atmosphere of it all unless you visit for yourself.

Back in 1989, I had the opportunity to be one of 36 international educators who were selected to participate in the annual International Teachers Space Camp held at the NASA Mission Control Center. For two weeks, we visited different divisions within NASA Mission Control, getting to do some of the same training exercises that real astronauts undergo, we heard talks from former and future astronauts and their preparation for space missions, and watched presentations by space scientists currently working on missions for NASA. It was a very rewarding experience for me as an international school teacher and as a person.

Really cool how they have redone this room. The immersive landing mission you get to watch is really cool. Unfortunately it focuses entirely on the one mission to the moon and you do not get info on the artifacts found in that room like you use to. I myself have been to the control center on 4 different occasions. The first time, all the old equipment was on display. A few years later, it had all been updated to PCs and flat screen monitors. The 3rd time, it had just recently been designated a historical land mark and put back to its original configuration. My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at NASA this past weekend and saw the show that went with the tour. We were in our early teens when this great event happened. It was wonderful to see as much of the center restored as it was on the day of the moon landing. Did anyone ask about the flowers?
