I’m not sure if this museum deserves one star. The entire experience can be completed in 10-30 minutes. Don’t waste your time or your money there. Go to the Museum of Natural Science or The Children’s Museum instead.

Its a Museum of Health and Medical Sciences. You learn things that make you healthier and some of them in form of game. You also see how some of the organs in human bodies magnified and better understood. So many things to learn by Medical students, Biochemistry students and other Biological scientists.

Waste of money, you can stand at the front and see the entire museum. Realistically your experience will be debating between the day pass and the year pass then looking at some bikes? Then there is only one other room and you can view the entire thing fully in 10 minutes. Huge waste of money go to the natural science museum!

Fun place to visit if you are interested in the inner workings of the human body. It is very small and I feel much of it is geared for children. At $10 its pretty pricey considering other area attractions. Parking is real easy as they have their own surface lot. There are disabled parking spaces literally steps from the door. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what was on offer.

This was another very nice museum in the Houston area, that we visted on a Saturday a few weeks ago. The museum was very affordable and was only $10 per person with a military identification card. They do have private parking lot on site if you dont want to be bothered with finding street parking nearby. There was a parking lot across the street and the staff told me that it was free up to 3 hours. I also asked some local people as well, and they were really friendly and confirmed that the parking was free.The museum was kind of small but was very educational. There was a few other people visiting the museum while I was there, but everyone was wearing face masks and social distancing between each other. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys museums and with kiddos.....especially during this pandemic period. The museum had hand sanitizer available and was enforcing the face mask policy for all visitors.

It was an amazing experience. All their exhibits are educational, especially their new outbreak exhibit that talks about pandemics. There were a few that were closed off so that was a little disappointing but overall we all had a lot of fun.

Space School visit here and join lab lessons.We have many fun on blood exam,DNA check,Microbio exam and so on. In the museum,there are many fun displays,too.

We tried to take out kids there this past weekend, but its closed due to COVID (8/14/2020). Google lists the Museum as open, which isnt true. Recommend you check the Museums website before going.

An interesting place with so many fascinating sights, pictures, cartoons, posters and tools about the humans and our health.I have seen and appreciated the mechanism of our circulatory system; the heart and the various veins and arteries as they alternate in blood circulation from the heart to the body. I saw the eye and how it sees through a delicate mechanism of many nerves and the coordination of the brain. I saw physical effect of exercise and how it impact on our health and many more exciting health processes and how the human body functions. In deed, the health museum remains a very unforgettable place with so many precious memories that I would always look forward to see in many times and again... ️ Love ️

It was very pleasant, informative. Staff was very professional and polite. A lot of families and some school trips present. All seemed to be enjoying themselves. Hood space to rent for work training. They have separate spaces used as classrooms. Very nice setup.

I think the Museum of Health is definitely informative, and I love how the information is simplified to where all audiences can understand and enlightening. The displays are alluring and innovative. I appreciate that its never crowded (my 2nd visit), and the customer service is great. Its a smooth transition and flow throughout.

Not the biggest museum, however there are a lot of cool interactive exhibits for the kids. Very knowledgeable information that made learning fun for my kids. We happened to pay no admission fee on this particular day because it was Museum Day. Very entertaining family fun!

It was so nice to visit this place. Open to the public. Free to visit.

Had a blast here and the kids loved it. Entered the cricket eating contest and got 2nd place. Also loved sampling the cricket buffet. Lots of fun puzzles to exercise your brain and many physical activities too. Different movies play throughout the day in their theater. I can still hear the auditable heart beating.

Great place for all ages. There is an interactive section great for younger kids and the brain teasers are gun. We went on a Saturday and it wasnt crowded at all compared to the childrens museum

Such a cute little museum. We were able to get in using our reciprocal Doseum pass. Fun place to stop and its right next door to the Childrens Museum so we were able to do both!

Although there are only a few exhibits, the interactivity of the human body section is awesome!The food exhibits are insightful and give perspective of the complexity of our food systems.

It is small but good variety of fun and educational activities. I would say it us good for kids at least 8 year old. The lab area also was really fun and good however you need to pay extra for that.unfortunately the gift shop was close when we were there. In general I would say without lab you may spend around 2 and one hour for lab if you like. I recommend the lab for sure.

Ill be honest, we went here because the childrens museum had a long line that we didnt feel like waiting in.With that said, this place is great. Lots of neat little experiments to do and experience. I really enjoyed the puzzles and brain teasers in the lobby

The Health Museum has exhibits that can either feel dated or fresh and new. The DeBakey Cell Lab for instance is a relatively new addition for older kids (7+, just be aware if you bring little ones). We spent an hour or so looking at all of the exhibits, and we could have easily spent longer if we dedicated the time to solve all of the puzzles (hands on brain teasers) in the central hall. We received a voucher for parking when we signed up for the Smithsonian Affiliate Membership Program.

I havent actually been there, this is just an exhibit suggestion. they should totally add something relating to covid-19 seeing as this is a health museum.

Nice change of pace from the other museums in the area. Its relatively small, so you can fill in an hour or two with it. Parking is all day, so you can go there, enjoy the museum, and then walk around the area.

The science lab looked like it is pro ably pretty cool, but it was closed when we were there. The rest of the museum is not as interactive as I would have hoped, and is surprisingly small. I had heard that it was a great museum but was not impressed. Glad I went once, but not likely to become a frequent visitor.

My kids an I have always enjoyed the museum district, but had never ventured to the Health museum. Ill have to say not only was I impressed, but the kids (6 year old boy and 9 year old girl) had a blast. They loved the interactive exhibits and even enjoyed the outbreak. The Health Museum will definitely now remain on our go to list anytime we visit the museum district.

My wife and I had a great time here considering shes a nurse. The chemistry exhibit in the lower level brought back memories of high school chemistry class. They have an excellent periodic table with real display of the real thing in the lower level. Brings the learning of chemistry into prospective. Place is more for children and young adults than for adults. Great place to bring the family. Lots of hands on to do for children.

There are some very interesting exhibits and things for kids to do but you will get a feeling pretty quickly that the place is a bit too small. Dont expect to spend more than 3 hours without seeing everything. Still its worth a visit.

Unable to purchase tickets online. Google says the museum is open, but I’m thinking it might be closed. Kept getting an error message when trying to pay for tickets online.

Had a lot of fun coming here with my friends and being able to enjoy all the fine art! We took a walk around the museum district and there was so much scenery... great for pictures!

A small museum, There are many interactive/stem building activities + Few exhibits about human body parts. Kids will love this place. There is a free family access on Thursdays between 2 pm and 7 pm.For parking they have their own surface lot. Parking in the lot is only $5 for the day.

Super fun to go to for both kids and adults. Their free day was not as long as the other museums so my friend and I had to pay to go in but it was only $10. It has some pretty cool exhibits as well as some fun games/activities for younger audiences. The most recent time I went the theme was Biorhythms. It was pretty cool but not my favorite because their wasnt as much to do. If you can try to go when they have the Bodies on display. Super cool if you are interested in medical/A&P stuff.

Posted already. Fractured my nosebridge on a homicidal pair of headphones to start the visit. Half the interactive displays werent working. You pay for high admission and parking. Only thing interesting were the brain puzzles. I got our money back, you can count on that. Very disappointing.

Small but educational. You can finish the entire museum in under three hours. We did enjoy ourselves.

Interesting pieces about the human body as well as information about miscellaneous topics like plagues and more. Also had a lot of fun brain teasers lined up in the center. A lot of interactive things in here, definitely enjoyed my visit.

Great time learning the inner workings of the human body. Like the brain tests they had. Also saw the display of the skeleton & what colon cancer looks like. The outbreak display was incredible but didnt get to see others.

A small museum, but incredibly interactive. This museum could double in size and still not cover everything. But, for its size, it was great. The one thing I think could use improvement is the cancer dress display. The dresses werent matched with their corresponding cancers, and no description of those cancers was offered, so a casual observer wouldnt know they were looking at malignant cells. Small museum, lots of condensed info, which often means simplifying the explanation, but this museum managed very well in that regard.

Great little museum. However, not that much to explore. Your ticket only grants you to an informative movie but everything else is for an additional ticket. Loved the beating heart demo!

Way too small, good games

We went to this museum today. Its small but I loved the Outbreak Infectious Diseases and how they spread. I talked with the director for a bit. She suggested that vaccine skeptics go to Wuhan to help the locals.

Very interesting information on the human body. The kids had fun. Learn a lot about the heart.

Awesome museum, and free family access on Thursdays between 2 pm and 7 pm. Good for both kids and adults. The way they teach you about different body parts is so encouraging and interesting. Its also a small museum, and it takes 1-2 hours to get through it. This makes it a lot easier to combine it with other activities.

A super noisy place filled with super noisy people and super duper noisy kids. Although we know most of the things exhibited there already I would’ve still enjoyed had ppl/kids behaved themselves. So noisy that I got a head ache! The neighbour hood is really nice though.

Very knowledgeable place to bring you kind to get them aware about health. The ambiance was calm and positive . If i talk about the staff was also cooperative and friendly. The infrastructure was also superb. Overall perfect place for kind and youngsters to enhance their knowledge base.

It was so much fun! Even though that we went on a day that it is free, there was no wait. Tons of interactive things to do. The kids enjoyed it.

An uncrowded place in Houstons museum center. Very clean and well air conditioned. A great place for kids to explore because its not very big and you can see them from a distance.My children were too young for the lab; it looked like one of the main draws. There were many kids enjoying the microscopes and wearing lab coats. The giant animatronic heart was awesome. They had a scavenger hunt while we were there and my 3 year old loved it. You are able to park here and walk over to enjoy other things in the area, just get your ticket validated.

A small and sparse museum with good content and lots of interesting science on offer. The parking is a hidden gem in the museum district. Its $5 (pay inside!) which gets you a prime parking spot for as long as you want, and the lot was not full even on free Thursdays after Christmas. The museum is on the small side and doesnt have a ton going on. Whats there is nice, with interactive exhibits and some good science. The theater/auditorium was a bit disappointing since it just payed tv clips. This is 4 stars on free Thursdays but 3 if youre paying.

Not sure if there are discounted or free tickets available, but its really not worth the admission they charge. $5 for parking plus $26 for two adults and a 4yo is way more than this place is worth. The idea is great and it would be a great addition to, say, the Museum of Natural Science, but its just not enough content for a stand-alone museum. The one cool section with the body parts/organs in large format seems old and needs updating. The rest of the museum (as small as it is) is a theater with educational movies, a lab that only older kids can do (cant comment on how cool that is), a few brain teaser puzzles, and a small section on food. Thats it. It could be sooooo much better, and I hope that someday it will be.To their credit, they do seem to do a lot of educational stuff with field trips... but that doesnt help a walk-in visitor.

Super Fun place to take your children on a learning adventure. Loved it!

Everyone needs to visit this place!!!Great place for children, teenagers, adults and families. The day I was there, a group of kids about 30 of them were there running through the arteries and having the time of their lives. The staff did an awesome job controlling the kids. I loved the interactive sessions we had. My group dissected an insect larvae and stained it to observe the chromosomes. It was for our Anatomy and Physiology class.The lady who runs the place is awesome too. Had to leave early but will definitely be back!!!

The information alone is a great reason to love this place. The body is alive and interactive at the same time. Be sure to consult the times before going because they close at 5pm normally. And while there are some free exhibit here, consider the membership which is probably the cheapest in town. If you park in the lot, you pay for parking inside (less than $5), members park free and see all exhibit free.

Its only $10 so thats not bad, I walked the whole thing in an hour and that was taking my time. The shows are cute for kids and they have the lab which I will go back for

The museum was incredibly educational and lots of stuff to interect with. However, for a museum it is on the small side.

I took my three year old because we pass by it and he asked me about it for weeks. I was worried it would be too stuffy or boring for a three year old (most museums are), but he loved it. It was very interactive and sized for both my son and my husband. Actually, we all loved it. There were standard exhibits, but also things like a room to scream in, a reaction test, and walkthrough organs. There was even a puppet show. 10/10 will go again.

Very educational. We visited on a Thursday and to our surprise it was free. My husband and I enjoyed it although I wish there was more to do. The museum is only on the first floor. My preschoolers liked the engaging activities as well as the blocks. Would visit again.

The stuff that they did have was cool but my goodness it was small. You can literally walk around in 20-30 minutes and have seen everything. Was fun to go although there isnt much to see

When we went, we were told there were some exhibits down, but even with that it was still a lot of fun. There was one exhibit open, so it didnt take too long to get through it, but they had a few things that the kids could play on that kept my kids busy for about an hour. We will definitely be back once everything is opened back up!

Go here when its free on Thursdays. Probably only good as a pit stop from the childrens museum as it was all kids stuff so my review as an adult may be a little biased. The staff was nice and the gift shop was quirky in a good way. The actual museum though was meh. Little Kids might like it though.

Definitely worth a visit! It was smaller than I expected, but I loved what was there. It was educational, interactive, and my kids (ages 4 and under) liked it too! Thursdays from 2-7pm are free admission days. Well be going back!

Lots of fun and interesting things to do!

I was hoping that there would be more stuff related to different organ systems which we need to pass in 7th grade science. I really loved the lab experiments though. Very interesting. I think the staff from the lab needs more training.

Go when its free and see for yourself. Many exhibits werent working or outdated.

Great place, the exhibits were informative and interactive. We even got to conduct 3 different experiments in their cell lab. Spent about 2.5 hrs. Will be back again!

So in light of the Wuhan pandemic, the epidemic exhibit is very applicable. If you want to multiply your learning include watching Pandemic on Netflix.

This is an awesome little museum, especially for kids. We had a membership for several years. There’s a small eating area if you bring snacks or lunch. Don’t forget to watch the 3D movie and visit the ever changing gift shop!

Great museum introducing health and body concepts to kids, but not as useful for adults who have already studied the basics. But it is very family friendly and affordable. Id go back for special exhibits. It is a good stop while exploring other museums in the area. There are also fun hands-on activities for all young ages.
