My children have really enjoyed taking online classes with Monart. The instructors teach multiple students effortlessly while also providing specific individual instruction. The kids have fun in the classes. The studio has gone out of their way to make sure things were easy to attend the online classes or access additional support for any tech issues, and obtaining supplies needed. We are excited to return to in-person camp when things are better as my children have also enjoyed attending camps at Monart over the years. We appreciate there customer service and ability to adapt and be flexible for the students.
This is a great place where your children should be. Let your children enhance their imagination and fine motor skills while having fun. You feel the warmness of a family-owned company. My son has been attending this school, Im so happy to have found it online thanks to reviews like mine. Do try it!
Weve been coming to Monart for more than 5 years now. My son is not an art person, and he still enjoyed the classes. My daughter has been a part of Monart program since she was 3. Shes 7 now and still loves it. My baby is in mommy-and-me class, and we both enjoy the class very much. The art class day is her favorite day of the week. The management is awesome. Ms. Daisy will make sure the teachers have a solid plan. She would also make herself available for parents, if theres anything that concerns you. Everything is very well organized. If theres a time conflict, they will try to work with you, provide you with options like makeup class, credit, etc. If you are uncertain your child would like the class or not, she will give you an opportunity to try out one class. Overall, they are very flexible and very willing to work with you.If theres enough demand for certain class, she would even consider adding a brand new class / bring back an old class.Monart is a good place for kids to develop interest and love for all kind of art (including painting, drawing, anime, graphic design, fashion design, pottery, digital art, etc). It has been a great joy for my children, and Id recommend for anyone to try!
Highly professional! Learned so much in such a short time... The Owners and teachers are so kind and helpful! Learned everything from pottery, scratching and watercolor painting with very little time! They really are a great art school, highly recommend them!
The owner Daisy is extremely rude, unprofessional and a racist! They make up rules while they operate! You leave messages they never get back to you. When your child gets hurt there they will not report to you. Don’t send your kids there! Definitely try other locations!
Monart has been a wonderful place for my daughter to refine her motor skills. She started there around 4 years old and recently turned 6. I have seen her interest in drawing, coloring, and creating explode through her weekly art classes with Ms. Elizabeth who is a masterful art teacher with young children. Their projects vary week to week, and have introduced my daughter to a wide variety of mediums. Skills are taught step-by-step so she is able to create real art. I also find the staff incredibly accommodating and helpful. The owner Ms. Daisy is on site, assisting teachers and engaging with parents. Their bi-annual art show is well organized and a special opportunity for the children to showcase their art in a welcoming environment, and at the end of each session a beautiful portfolio compiling all projects is sent home. I typically do not write reviews, and I am also very critical of the organizations that provide my childrens extra-curriculars. In this case, I simply find Monart class act.
The folks at monart are so wonderful and warm; they have been an invaluable resource for my sons artistic growth, as hed much rather do math than try to color inside of the lines. theyve been patient with him through the whole process. we wont ever go anywhere else for art lessons!
My daughter has been going to Monart for 6 years since she was 3. She is now 8.5, and still loves coming here every Saturday for her drawing classes. The instruction is great, and over years, I watched my daughter’s confidence in drawing build up, she now progressed to the Drawing Fundamentals II. They have great choice of creative classes; we also tried sculpture class and my daughter loved it. Unlike some other schools, they give me refund for the missed classes which is great. My daughter loves illustration and comics, so next semester we are excited to try their “Comic Book Creation” class, can’t wait to start. I love this school: they have wide choice of classes and wonderful creative atmosphere. They genuinely prioritize children’s creativity and artistic development over everything else. Over the years, we established great relationships with the teachers and feel here at home.
The owner Daisy showed my mother a skeleton gif and she screamed. Please take this into consideration.
This is an amazing place. My child has been going there over about 5 years since age 5, and loves Monart. It is one of the best events of a week. For those kids who are into art, this is like a dream place. There are lots of resources, very nice teachers (not only Ms Daisy, but also others including junior teachers) and of course friends that have same interest. I like to note here that even for those kids who are not necessarily crazy about art every day (like my other child), summer camp or any other extra activity offered here would be a great opportunity to try out and find out the fun of art. Camp offers a great option of computer graphic/animation, which seems to be very popular and may be sometimes hard for little ones because of limited time available for the amount of work. But it is still a very good introduction to computer based art and our children loved it. Overall, we are extremely happy to have Monart in our community and strongly recommend this place, of course for art lovers, but also those who want to try and see. They will have a good exposure and learn a lot here.
We love Monart Houston. My daughter started art classes since she was 2.5 years old. We have been going here for almost 4 years now. Love the experienced teachers and the staff. They have a lot of patience with the kids. My daughter has come a long way and her drawing has clearly shown a lot of improvement.
I cannot say enough good about this studio! We have had our daughter enrolled for many years, and she has developed her talents in amazing ways. The staff is very talented, and work so well with children. In addition, we recently enrolled our son who has some learning differences, and the owners were extremely accommodating and caring about our unique situation.
My daughter started at 3 years old, after 3 years, we only loved it more. We did not see immediate result, but the teachers are nice, supportive, creative and fun, my daughter loved every minute of it. They provided variety of subjects, materials, projects, it is never boring. Now, 3 years later, she can freely express her world on the paper, I felt I have given her a wing to fly. I have seen and heard parents expecting an artist after a few sessions, but art has to grow with the little person, all they need is the environment that can motivate and promote the growth, Monart has provided just that.
Our daughters love art class! Every week our daughter look forward to attending and thats still true after almost a year of classes. We started our older daughter (4) in class and our younger daughter (3) really wanted to do it too. We reluctantly signed her up thinking it wouldnt be worth it since she was too young to get much out of it. We were wrong. Her progress in such a short time has been amazing!
Pros: My son has taken the computer and traditional classes at this studio. He really loved the classes, he had a lot of fun in the computer classes and camps. He seemed to learn a lot, we even ended up buying him a laptop so he could practice digital art at home as well. The teachers are very patient and friendly. They always have interesting projects for the kids. The prices are reasonable for the area. Overall I am very happy with this school so far.Cons: The class schedules and teachers change term to term about every 4 months so it is hard to lock in a routine, especially if my son has a favorite class or teacher.
My 13 year old daughter started at Monart School of art Houston during the fall of 2014 since then Monart school of art and the staff is the oasis she finds in her busy week, very soon my younger son, now 6 and half year old started as well and he enjoys every minute of it.Since the first day I spoke on the phone with Mr. Sachin I have absolutely no doubts of the excellent service I will get at this place. But the good service wasnt only on the phone the dedication and professionalism that every one in this school have is outstanding.Mrs Daisy and Mr. Sachin the owners really enjoy doing what they do, they work hard in being sure to understand every single student, they want to understand the feelings and the process in which each student express it, they take pride on each of the kids achievements and they also set high standards for them. The school is a family own business and it shows even their daughter when around becomes a great part of the team along with the teachers. This team give the kids and parents a excellent service and their kindness and care always go above and beyond!!!We are very happy to have our kids explore and develops their art skills with this group of professional and sensible family and business owners.I will highly recommend Monart School of Art to any one.We love you and thank you guys for your dedication to art, to the kids and parents...
My daughters (13 & 9) have been going to Monart for last three years and they love it. As soon as they come home from the class, they start to wait for the next one. They loved coloring, drawing, painting from the very early age so I was looking for an art school for them. Then one of my friends recommended Monart to me. It is not the most conveniently located for us as I have to drive 15 miles one way every weekend to take my kids for the class but it is worth the trouble because the curriculum design, the personalized attention, the quality of teaching and the school administration are top notch. All the teachers are very good and kids connect with them. In last three years, my kids have improved their drawing techniques a lot; the way they approach the process of drawing or sketching is really impressive. The quality of education in Monart is the result of continuous hard work and diligence of the owners Ms. Daisy and Mr. Sachin. They are always there to listen to you and your child to address any question that may arise.
My daughter Chloe has been taking classes there since she was 3 and she really likes it there. She just turned 8 and she is advancing through the classes. Thanks to her teachers throughout the years, she is becoming quite the artist!
About 5 years ago, we were introduced to Monart as part of my kids preschool After School Enrichment program. One of their group artwork was even displayed at the Wortham Center. What a rewarding experience for my daughter! She had since left preschool, but I wanted her to continue what preschool Monart had started. She is now enrolled in Monart Bellaire since last year. Its wonderful to see her development. Owner-administrators are always present and very accessible. Teachers give oral and written feedback on my childs progress and behavior routinely. Location is conveniently located (where there is a Starbucks, nail salon, dance and music studio, Kumon -- to cater to your familys every whim). The only negative issue with the location is finding a parking spot can be a challenge, especially on peak times (usually Saturday mornings).
Unprofessional Management. Avoid this place
My daughter attends the pre-school class here. She enjoyes the class very much! The Owner and the staff are very friendly here. Teachers are very talented and very patient with kids. We held one birthday party here and it was great experience!
Rude.
