I love this place! The food is awesome and the decor is even more awesome! Definitely try this place... The waiters and waitresses were so nice. Im coming back Americas! I ordered the chicken, which was a very good choice. Next time, I want to try the vegetarian option.(the other picture)
This place is very fun if you love art and crafting. You can pick a craft, snacks, or both. They have mostly teas and smoothies and macaroons. My daughter loooved the smoothie bowl. We had five people and spent almost $150 while there. We were there for 2.5hrs and had tons of projects for everyone. You obviously dont have to spend that much like they have a sketch and snack combo for $15..you get a sketch book, markers, stamps, colored pencils, a drink and then either a strawberry for chocolate mouse cake. They also have specials and different art classes. It was fun and the employees are very friendly and helpful if you have questions.
We went here for a birthday party. They have a private room in the back. Parking sucks...we had to find parking on the side roads. The decor is beautiful. The hot chocolate I ordered had a cute bear art on it. The staff is nice.
Cafe food, yeah, very satisfying. the staff was helpful and kind. prices are decent for the quality. menu is like a cafe in indianapolis i liked.
Good fine food. Menu has a range of picks from burgers and salads to burritos. Definitely a ought to try.
How do I even begin to describe how perfect this place is?! You can paint, make cute little succulents all while enjoying the delicious drinks and treats! The artist that helped paint and decorate is BEYOND talented, and the entire staff was super sweet! Highly recommend this place as a charming date night spot for a quick treat, or just to hangout with friends. Can’t wait to come back!
I looooove this place the concept it’s amazing, while you enjoy a good coffee or dessert you can draw or paint, they have several types of entertainment. You have to gooo! Even for children’s is amazing. They also have in the back like a studio to take art classes.
I love this place because their strawberry smoothie was good and the projects were fun. I feel bad because I lost track of time and didnt realized they were trying to close
My favorite place for delicious cafe food. Its so appetizing. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.
The Honey Art Cafe is one of the coolest places to be at. The place has a great selection of dessert and drinks. They have a small gallery on the inside and great pieces of art to buy. They even have a small water coloring class in the back that makes for great fun. The desserts are delicious and works of arts themselves!
This place is magical! It offers craft projects AND food/drinks. The walls feature local art. There are several classes offered for individuals or families. The cafe area has bench seating with pillows against the walls. There are animal macarons. I ordered the Mango Coco Milk; it was quite refreshing.
Cafe food and the scene here is above par. really nothing but good experiences here. food is like a place in baltimore i loved.
I love this place because their strawberry smoothie was good and the projects were fun. I feel bad because I lost track of time and didnt realized they were trying to close
Cafe food and the scene at this location is excellent. I love this place so much.
The cafe is small and there are only 4 available tables to sit at. Due to Covid, their menu items are limited. Not my preference either, but their menu is also very health conscious. Definitely would prefer a place with sweeter delights.
A preferred spot for quality cafe food. there was quick, helpful, and friendly service. prices are fair i would say.
Good fine food. Menu has a range of picks from burgers and salads to burritos. Definitely a ought to try.
Cafe food, very satisfying. prices are decent.

I ordered the chocolate mousse cake which featured a banana filling. It was an interesting taste. One of the most wonderful things I enjoyed about this cafe is the huge murals on either side. One of an African American spiritual queen and the other of an Asian queen. All of their desserts were amazing. You can order art on the menu as well. They will bring out oil paints and a set up and you paint or draw away while you eat. They also give military discounts. Will be revisiting.
Everyone here is always so nice, I have an amazing time every time I go. The drinks are great, the coffee always has such cute art and the food is beyond delicious! But my favorite thing about this place is that its just MADE for artists. From the art on the wall, the bathroom, the drinks and the water color kit, its just all just so... Great.I live 1hr away from Honey art buy I try to come at least once a month just because its worth it.
My night life, alcohol? Definitely NOT! Night belongs to studying, here is the cutest cafe Ive ever found in the wild US. Of course in my hometown Beijing or Tokyo, we have countless cafes like this, but here? So few! Therefore I feel so precious.1. Opens until midnight.2. Not cold, not noisy, many cute decorations.3. U can do painting as long as ordered in the menu.4. Drinks taste light but I like. If u like milky things? I wont recommend.
Coffee art and art classes. Asian modern anime theme. Good coffee and art.
Not crowded Friday afternoon!Ordered milk tea-- tea tasted a bit odd (it was all pre-mixed), but fairly priced. Bubbles were chewy and tasty. Really cute decor all around.
Great new spot for some artistic treats. You can take art classes here as well. We had the smoothie bowl it was excellent. We had a minor thing missing in our bowl...Otherwise 5 stars. Ill be back soon to try again.
First time coming here based off a friends recommendation and its amazing! The overall vibe of the cafe is artsy and very aesthetically pleasing. I tried the organic milk tea with boba and the (cookies and cream flavored) totoro macaron and both were awesome! The milk tea isnt as sweet as regular milk tea from a boba shop, but they do have sugar on the side that you could add into the tea yourself (the employees could probably make it more sweet for you if you asked them too as well). The macaron was perfect! It wasnt too hard or soft and the cookies and cream flavor was on point. I definitely reccomend giving this cafe a visit!
Ive heard people complain about the egg waffle but I thought it was good. It took about 15 mins, didnt come out burnt & as long as you dont let it sit there, it wont get soggy. The two topping limit (charge each for more) and the size for the price was a turn off though but its a really cute, worth a visit. Watercolor kits for rent & BYOB art classes upstairs.
Cute place attracting young trendy crowd. The coffee is good and I have tried most of the desserts on the menu and everything was nice, I liked the strawberry mousse cake the most. What makes this place special is that you can rent the coloring kit and then draw and pain at the table. Nicest works are hanged at the wall for display. The atmosphere is always pleasant and cheerful as many customers are regulars so it sometimes feels like family retreat. The service is friendly, kind and informative.
The aesthetic here is nice, with interesting art painted on the walls. Unfortunately the service and coffee were sub-par. It took a phenomenally long time for them to make a cappuccino, and it tasted more like steamed milk than coffee. The matcha latte was not very great either. The matcha was very grainy, and the flavor was entirely at the top, leaving more foamy milk to take up the majority of the drink. I would not come here again.
Always enjoy the sweets. Love the atmosphere. If you are a artist or crafter this place feels like home. Very comfy vibe. I am always inspired when I spend time here.
New to Houston, I wanted take an art class. Should not have picked Honey Art Cafe. They serve food and teach art classes. The place is filthy I would not recommend the food. Art supplies are barely grade school quality. Watercolors are almost gone, brushes very used and old --paint chipping off handles and bristles going every which-way. Paint pallets have dried on paint instead of being clean for a new class. The instructor said you should do this project on watercolor paper but we only have cardstock. Then two people walked in 25 minutes late and Janice the instructor made the rest of us wait while she got them caught up. Also the area doesnt feel safe, lots of homeless sitting outside and rummaging in the dumpsters, which might not be a problem except there are only 2 parking spaces so they recommend you park on a nearby street and walk. I asked if it was safe and the clerk said we call the police about all the homeless but they wont do anything. The instructor wasnt good enough at what she was teaching for me to endure all that again. No thanks!
Artsy fartsy place. The decor makes it a good place to take pics, but the drink and food offerings are lacking in contrast to the look and ambience.
You actually have to get inside and try food and drinks and experience this place. The coffee is fantastic to say the least and the macaroons are to die for... prices I believe were affordable considering the experience. This is a good place to hang out and enjoy something different. I look forward to go back and try the art package they offer!
Disappointed with the art class instruction and refund refusal policy.I purchased two tickets ($70) for an abstract painting class but my guest was unable to attend due to an emergency. The instruction was informatively lacking and rather uninspiring for two hours. We used a square wood block that was cut from cheap 2x4 pine lumber as our canvas. Suprising since there are far better inexpensive canvas types available for group paintings. The students were unengaged with no questions for the instructor during the whole time. After class, I share my concerns and requested a refund only for my absent guest. Nope, Honey Art Cafe refuses refunds but you can pay an extra $15 to take another class. If you do not want to take another class, you are SOL. So pre-registration is a bad idea for any of their classes. TIP: Only pay when you arrive. Its a terribly misguided policy for students and totally inconsiderate. I hope for future students it is revised and instruction is improved.Good luck since Honey Art Cafe responds to bad reviews with we have our style of teaching and running our classes that dont seem to fit .. - Amy.All I wish is to get my $35 back.
Cafe food... so good. Food was so fresh. Service is consistently above par. It has a good feel to it.
A bit pricey, but hey the food is art too. 5/5 cute AF
Its been a minute. the treats are cute and not super sweet. spacious and can definitely be a lil nook to get some work done. parking can be a little tight.
Its a cute place and the desserts are delicious!
Id post a photo of the chocolate mousse cake and matcha tea we got but we scarfed them down almost instantly. The cake was good and has little chunks of frozen banana inside. The matcha tea was good and not too sweet, it reminds me of the matcha moon lattes at Summermoon back in Austin. Theres lots of really beautiful and cute art for sale inside as well. We didnt get to do a DIY project, but we definitely want to come back to try it out!
Too expensive for what they serve ordered a taco ice cream it was $8 barely any ice cream. Service was super slow when the place was almost empty it socks because it the place is really cool. Probably not coming back
I love this place! I come here regularly. Delicious and tasty drinks and desserts. Wonderful atmosphere to work and do creative things; friendly staff and artist patrons.
We were looking for something different than Painting with a Twist for part of a bachelorette party night! We registered months ago for a watercolor group session and Lulu was amazing!!! They were super responsive via email and incredibly accommodating. The desserts that everyone had while painting were delicious. Watercolor is definitely challenging but Lulu made it so fun and easy. Our group was about 8 people, intimate, and affordable. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend!!
It’s a cute little place to visit. I like that you can do art when you visit and rent the back room for events if needed. The food is cute too with options like panda or pug macaroons. The staff is friendly. However, the parking is very small and the menu is limited along with the macaroon I got was not fresh and quite stale. It tasted like it’s been out for awhile. Also, the portion size is small and the pricing is high for what you get. I would not recommend this spot.
Cafe food, mmm, super good. Everyone at our table was quite pleased. I look forward to going back again. Prices were decent. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
Fire, everyone should try
Entered near ten, it was not crowded. Staff treated us so nice. Prices are reasonable I would say.
Cafe food and service at this place is excellent. good place to catch up with friends. will surely make a return trip. this place has a good design. kinda of like a restaurant in los angeles i loved to visit.
Loved this place ! Super relaxed and artsy. You paint or color whatever you wish to do while you eat delicious treats. They also have amaizing art work and you can even get painting lessons how cool is that. The staff is excellent super nice I definitely recommend .
Really love this place. It offers a friendly atmosphere, great desserts and drinks, and art classes. Couldnt give it 5 stars however, because they are pricey. The art kit we rent was $7 before and now it is double that, while less materials are offered. $5 for extra paper too. Found that ridiculous. One can easily spend 20 on dessert and painting for one person alone.
My preferred place for quality Cafe food. nothing but great experiences here. the prices are fair for the quality of food.
I almost missed this place as I didnt know it was tucked away in a small shopping center. I got there at 2pm when they opened (on weekdays) and the interior/decor is beautiful. One of the owners was also there, she wasnt very warm or greeting seeing as how I stated it was my first time visiting the establishment, but she wasnt rude either. ((shrugs))I ordered the Chocolate Mousse Cake ($6) way underpriced if you ask me the portion was HUGE I didnt know the cake would be that big and it was tasty. Not the best cake Ive had but delicious none the less. I also ordered the Organic Bubble Milk Tea which was nice and refreshing. The wall murals are beautiful and also created by the owners as well as they created the art for the menus and business cards as well. They definitely are a talented pair. (I also learned they make the pastries as well..cool!)I couldnt give this more stars because it was a first time visit however I do want to come back and try more menu items.
Excellent desserts and excellent atmosphere! Good cold brew coffee and fantastic staff! The place is decorated very awesomely and if you have a chance, check out all the art! Classes are offered and heres a plus; its open late!
Way better than painting with a twist! They actually teach you how to draw/paint! The employees are also very friendly and helpful.
Friendly ambitious owners. Promote her arts in food, structures and paintings. New creative American generation.
Fine place for quality cafe food. this place does it for me. the staff was helpful and kind.
Got a strawberry banana smoothie and it was horrible. We also thought we could paint for free but you have to rent the painting kit. You might as well just buy yourself a watercolor palette and some paint brushes instead. The decorations were the only nice thing about this place but theres plenty of nice art elsewhere.
Third time visiting was disappointing. Went to get chocolate mousse cake for take-out, order was taken then 10 minutes later after waiting was told they were out of chocolate mousse cake. This was very time consuming and annoying. The other two times I made a visit it was eh-okay. It takes way too long for order to be given to customers and they dont give you everything at once. Customer service lacks so much. If that was to be fixed, this place would be a whole lot better. It has potential but its lacking. And whoever responded to my comment is truly a liar. There was no other customers in there at the moment.
Really nice place! I really liked the mango coco drink. There are murals all around the cafe which make for really nice pictures!
My visit was alright. The set up is pretty nice and super cool. It is much smaller than what it looks online. The matcha drinks were alright. The down fall was the cashier who attended us did the bare minimum. I made it clear it was our first time to visit so we wanted to know how everything worked, far as the painting pallet/trays go. So instead she just slides the menus towards us and says here you go and didnt explain anything to us.
I like this place a lot. Its an artistic space with fun and beautiful details such as a painted menu and upbeat colors. I only wish they were open Monday and Tuesday and had access to better parking.
My first boba tea experience and it was delicious! Cute murals and beautiful paintings. There were so many little fun things about this cafe.
Will not return. IF your going to visit for the desert/food I would definitely pass..The macroons were cute but tasted OLD and soggy. The pop waffle cone tasted sub par to others Ive tasted and ALSO soggy..We also ordered a smoothie....It was WARM! Only thing that was good was the toppings (mochi/coconut) was fresh. The ice cream was literally like a single scoop.ONLY reason I did not give this place less than 2 star rating is because the atmosphere was cute...but thinking about it now it was cute for like a teenage girls room not for a place to enjoy some food or drinks.Over priced and poorly excuted. Save a few bucks and get better quality elsewhere. Very disappointed
Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. It has an awesome atmosphere. Ambience reminds me of San Diegos scene.
Great food and drinks. Be a little patient as everything is made to order.
Honey Art Cafe serves high quality drinks and treats in a modern, artisic environment. The staff is friendly, and everything inside is clean and inviting. You cant go wrong with anything you order!
The super cool art work. Give the place a nice look and feel.
I love the concept ! I missed it twice, because of the shopping center it was at. The location is convenient for everyone in the midtown / downtown/ montrose area. I came to check it out because of the reviews. The dessert waffle was what I drove here for, because I love the ones from Asia ! I have yet to find one in Houston. It was too soggy, and my other one was burnt. The boba was too sweet and squishy. Hopefully they can add more items to their menus! They have very cute drawings !
My kid likes their art workshops and I like the little cafe and the art on display.
Heads up for the coffee, art studio, and art gallery concept. The small art gallery displays local artists work and also there are some art classes being taught at this location. Will definitely return.
My daughter and I enjoyed the whimsical treats! And plan to go back for an art lesson!
Really cute decor, beautiful art, friendly people, tasty fresh foods. The wait was a bit long, but I know theyre super new and under-staffed, and it was also very crowded. We werent in any rush so it was ok. All the food was very good. The macaron on my parfait was perfectly soft but crispy.
3 stars is solely for the cool, hip atmosphere! Props to the female owners doing their thing & rocking their talent but homegirls, $9+ after tax for the Hong Kong Egg Waffle is a bit much when the ice cream & toppings were lacking so I was left with a soggy waffle (made me feel like I was going through a break-up). This place has some real potential with improvements that are easily fixable. Hope all the best to successful women!
Great hangout spot for friends. They let you play with the art supplies there!!!Delicious beautiful food i have missed from living in Asia. Not so good for getting writing done. The chairs are hard on your butt and the space echoes, making for a loud enviroment. On the other hand, it isnt freezing cold like a lot of coffee shops
Love the coffee and the ambience.
While the presentation of everything is nice the taste is sub pair and the staff is not the most friendly or helpful.
Honey Art is such a cute spot.. The staff is very good and the desserts and treats are yummy.
Staff and location were awesome. Very friendly and accommodating to the Totoro turranium event. There were some Australian ladies with a toddler with a mullet that were extremely rude but feel they were privleidged. Australian people that are there on April 18, at 7-8pm.
My favorite place for a latte and dessert while I study away.
Awesome place, its kinda loud in there but hey a lot of people means good business for them! Really love the decor & the artist
Very unique and artsy place, and their desserts are delicious!!
Excellent food and drink, fantastic atmosphere, and groovy art classes.
Very cute place but rude staff. Front of house gave us attitude and slammed out drinks down-wouldnt even make eye contact with us.
The people here really care about you and the drinks are great.
What a let-down, all the good food is only for a limited time and a tad over priced honestly.
Ambiance: 10/5Food: 3.5/5Drink: 3/5Price: 2/5This place is any cutesy selfie-loving, Instagram-obsessed, kawaii Asian girls dream come true. There were so many of the aforementioned clientele in the cafe when I visited that I lost count of the number of Asian girl + Instagarm bf/husband couples there were, taking their 102nd selfie. Wait, let me fix my hair again. Angle the camera higher up. Okay, one more. Wait no, k, last one. And all the poor boyfriends with the same forced frozen smiles plastered on, wondering how much longer before they could dig into their poor melting ice cream and no-longer-hot HK egg waffles. ;) Haha, Im exaggerating. But only a little bit. Hey, been there, done that. But it was kinda funny people watching while waiting for my order.I got an iced latte to bring to a friend at her work but it came out more along the lines of a frappe? Like blended. Oh well, I hope it was still good. The egg waffle thing was good, although by the time I got to my friends work just 5 min later (with my car AC blasting), it was on the melty side and the waffle was cold. But it was still good. The waffle part at least. The ice cream was just really basic vanilla ice cream. I wish they would have made the whole egg waffle thing a little later though... I told them my order was to go and they made the waffle first, and then took another 5 minutes to make the latte. Would have been nice if they flipped the order, but oh well, no big deal.Anyway, going back to the cuteness. Everything about this place is adorable. All the decor, from the gold-brushed geometric ceiling lights to the colorful wall murals to the cute little ceramic honeybee salt shakers on the tables. They have cat coloring books and cat art. Crayons for you to use to fill out your HK egg waffle order sheet and select your toppings. Art classes! They even have a back seating area, which I didnt check out last time. Not sure if it was for a private event or classes or just open seating. This could be a cute study spot, especially given its proximity to Rice. Parking is a little limited, but I didnt have any trouble. The outside is unassuming and the location is kind of random (Id expect this in Chinatown, next to Jungle Cafe or something), but it is super adorable and I will probably be back! P.S. If youre studying and need grub, they no longer offer any hot foods (they only had 3 options before anyway). But Halal Guys is just down the street so you can always pop over there for study fuel!
Really cool concept. Love it.
A great experience for kids and adults
Great artistic atmosphere, I hope this place does well
In love with this place its right down the street from my work the 8 layer parfait was the best I ever had will be back to try everything else on the menu the only thing is that the staff act like like they hate their jobs.
My chai soft serve was delicious
Super cute, love the Art and the atmosphere.
The food wasnt very good and the service was dull.
Not gooooord
Nice place
Great decoration, nice people!
