Great little scenic stroll through Louisianas natural beauty. Has a really neat ending at a lake overlook patio. Only things to note were that the parking seemed very limited, some of the signs hadnt been cleaned in awhile, and the bugs were biting a bit around the creek.

Its just great to have some sort of a access to nature and the bayou and this is one of the few places I could find. Easy trail, bring boots incase of flooding. Its literally at water level. Really well maintained. Not much parking, but it means not much visitors (the way its best) anticipated seeing gators, perhaps even in front of our path, but none that day. (If youre not afraid of direct contact with wild creatures though then this is the place for you!) If you are, go to a zoo. Nice deck at the end going out over a lake.

I always wonder about what people not from south Louisiana think about swamp walks...

A brief but secluded swamp walk. Approx. 1 Mile, out and back, with a nice boardwalk over the water for wildlife observation.

What a great State Park for a fun hicking, we got to see lots of birds and snakes, make sure to bring some binoculars it you have it. Also I walking stick can be very helpful even though its a very flat path. I enjoyed my time very much here. I cant wait to go back. Cheers!!!!

Walking trail in a swampy area. Beautiful trees, plants, birds, and other wildlife. Make sure to wear shoes/boots that can get wet because there was shallow water over the trail in several places.

The trail was nice and takes you through the swamp. But unfortunately the trail itself was under water in places. We didn’t have on the kind of shoes for that and my sneakers got wet. Bring rain boots!!!! And watch for snakes!!!! The picture I added is deceptive since most of the trail is small and with swamp on both sides.

The trail is a little over grown when we went but it is a nice trail through the wetlands.

Beware of bannana spiders and water moccasins. It is a very peaceful experience and there should be more nature trails like this in our area!
